Primary reason

Clan Naga Sadow has a strong Tarentae presence. First, there’s the lone wolf. Then a duo. And now? A full squad of sharp TIE pilots! Sato and our fellow Tarantae have been a great addition to the CNS family. Sato’s been “krakin' necks and stackin' creds” for a while now, and we’re proud to recognize him for the effort he’s put in.

He’s racked up a long list of achievements, data that has been logged and verified. But what doesn’t show up in the data is the way he carries himself and the positive influence he has on others. That’s just as important, and it’s obvious Sato stands out there too. He’s friendly, respected, always in good spirits, and constantly encouraging others. He also brings some serious heat in the competition arena. On top of all that, his activity level has been dogged as of late. For a couple weeks straight, the PCon and I were getting flooded with notifications as Sato was hammering out SA courses and comps non-stop. It was awesome to see. That kind of infectious demeanor helped bolster CNS's 35.48% rate for the recent Seasons S1 event!

With that, I’m excited to announce that Sato Tarentae has hit the 23,000 XP mark and earned himself a promotion to Equite III. Congrats, Sato—well deserved!

Additional reasons

Sato has only been in Clan Naga Sadow since January, but he’s been swinging for the fences the entire time. Since then, he’s managed to stack up two amethyst crescents, an emerald crescent, four ruby crescents, and a vaunted diamond crescent. That alone is a pretty chunky stack of wins, worthy of praise on its own. In a short couple of months, he’s earned nearly a quarter million credits for CNS, and he seems to be just warming up.

But this isn’t just about the last couple of months. You see, it’s been a long time since Sato was last promoted. If the site is accurate, it’s been 18 years. Now, life does have a habit of getting in the way, but beside the dramatic changes that Sato has weathered in his time with the club, he’s continued on.

In the time elapsed, Sato has participated in 118 competitions, passed 78 Shadow Academy courses for 15 individual degrees, stacked up a raft of crescents for those wins and still found time to serve in the Academy as an EP for the last 17 years. He’s a fixture there at this point, and that sort of dedication to a cause is inspirational.

It is for that work, for that protracted and persistent effort that Sato has shown, that I am pleased to recommend him for his elevation to the third equite rank. Well earned and congratulations, Sato. Thank you for all that you do and all that you have done.
