Primary reason

There's a few gigs in the Brotherhood that are downright challenging. Leading a troubled unit through a critical vendetta is one of the hardest. Anshar volunteered for it, knowing full well that at any point, the whole thing could come crashing down around his ears, and as the last Questor, history would not remember him with fondness.

That takes nerve.

Anshar went on an almost manic campaign to encourage the house. He brought back old members for their strength and skill. He pushed the new members to participate, to try new things. He pushed himself to exceptional levels, leading the house by example and by action. His back to the wall, he knew that the only way out was through all obstacles. Failure wasn't an acceptable outcome. And the work was going to be done, if he had to do it all himself.

Strength in action. Dogged persistence.

Thank you. --Muz Ashen, Dark Lord of the Sith

I asked Anshar for a list of his top contributors to their successes in the Horizons event and what they were awarded for their efforts. Everyone on the list had been awarded and recognized. All save one: Anshar himself. He told me he didn't need anything other than an active, happy unit.

This is a leader's answer.

Well, I checked the score sheet and as I expected Anshar led his House in not only participation, but total points scored as well.

These are a leader's actions.

Leaders take care of the mission and those under their care first. All else is secondary. This is what Anshar did without thought of recognition for himself. Well, it's our job to recognize all those who place others above themselves and quietly go about their business.

Anshar, let this Steel Cross remind others what you already know: Mission above all. Others before self.

Well done.

--Raken, Deputy Grand Master

For being the member with the most submission in Tarentum, and his leadership efforts during the RoS Horizon, Anshar deserves this recognition. Anshar did what he could during the event to keep his House motivated, and is hereby awarded the Steel Cross.
