Since this is obviously an important promotion, I will be including three recommendations; one from myself, one from Ektrosis Quaestor Dark Sabre, and one from Dinaari Quaestor Shadow (because we all <3 Sharad so much!)
From Consul Kir Taldrya Katarn:
To truly give Sharad a fair recommendation I would have to write a least a page if not more, but I will try to be concise. Sharad is my right hand man
but more like a second Consul. I ran Taldryan for quite some time without him to help me, but since he has returned it has been a huge relief. Sharad has used his incredible web-design skills to make the Taldryan website one of the most user-friendly, informative, and entertaining websites in the entire Brotherhood. His web-efforts have brought in many new recruits and helped them better familiarize himself with the Clan. He is also a great sounding board, always available to help me with rough ideas and smooth other any wrinkles. His experience is unrivaled and I value his advice above all others.
Beyond his work as Proconsul and his somewhat-recent activities in the Clan, Sharad has been passed over time and time again, going unrecognized for the tremendous amounts of work he has done for Taldryan. It has been over three years since he was last promoted, and in that time he was Obelisk High Commander and Proconsul of Taldryan. He easily could have been Consul of Taldryan, because while he was Proconsul the reigning Consul was absent much of the time. Sharad led the Clan through the day-to-day and to an outstanding performance in the 4th Great Jedi War all by himself. He was never awarded for these efforts by his superior, because his superior didnt even know what was going on.
While most members would become disgruntled by this lack of notice, Sharad merely kept working hard. He managed to have the third most submissions in all of Taldryan in the Fifth Great Jedi War, being a huge part in what will (hopefully!) be Taldryans victory. His activity, experience, and attitude is unrivaled, and I cannot think of anyone more deserving of a promotion to Dark Adept more than Sharad. I mean it buddy, this one is all you!
From Quaestor Dark Sabre:
Sharad is a stable and incredible Proconsul who has developed the Taldryan website to the amazing status it has now reached, easily updatable and very user-friendly; accessible to even the newest members. He, along with Kir, have always been a sounding board for any projects that I planned, while I was Aedile and my time so far as Quaestor.
He's also volunteered to create a website for Ektrosis and from what I've seen so far from the development, it's going to be great and a big step up from what we were using: a site that cut off access to everybody except Shadonyx. His graphics are what make the Clan and House sites stand out among the other not as well planned or not as artistic sites that populate the Brotherhood.
He's an extremely active member, and a sexcellent [sic] leader. Sharad played a whole lot of JK and JO for this GJW and submitted stories and graphics. He's an integral part of the system in Taldryan and is the most deserving person of a promotion in the entire Clan, perhaps in the whole Brotherhood.
Months have passed since a large award has been given to him, years since his last promotion. Sharad, if nothing else, deserves a promotion to Dark Side Adept!
From Quaestor Shadow:
Sharad has been the pinnacle of leadership and activity since I joined the Brotherhood more than three years ago. Since his last term serving as OHC Sharad has put an incredible effort into rebuilding and strengthening Taldryan to bring it back to the glory it once had. Apart from the daily IRC, email and Message Board activity, Sharad created me a House Dinaari website including layout and all PHP-scripting in just over a week. The website has helped me spread information and competition to the rest of my House and has been a very valuable asset.
For the Clan he also created a fully scripted website that has helped many of our new members learn the Clans roots and basic information about the DB, such as connecting and downloading IRC. As well as links to all pertinent DB websites. Throughout the entire Great Jedi War Sharad was always motivating members to do more, work a little harder, go the extra mile just to see Tal in the winner's circle. Hell, he did almost a 1/4 of the submissions himself playing hundreds of JO/JK games, plus the fictional and graphical stuff.
Now I'm not great at spelling it all out for people, but Sharad truly deserves this promotion and has for some time. I know this DC likes to award people what the deserve and I hope this reccomendation does just
that. This is the sort of loyalty and dedication to ones Clan and House that I think is seriously lacking with most of the DB. Thanks for all your great work Shar
