Since re-joining Arcona, Smoke (Ma`ar-Tyrius Bruth'Kothae Ga-Tir) has
arguably become THE premier Arconan. Let us first just look at his
activity. Smoke has the highest total of CF's within the entire
Brotherhood. Since joining Arcona, he has earned literally hundreds of CF
's. One can just imagine how many actual matches had been played for one
to achieve that number of medals. That alone will perhaps make him one of
the most active MP-player around, if not the most active. However, there'
s more. As just a "regular" member of Oriens Obscurum, Smoke participated
in every competition that I had put out as Quaestor, and winning a number
of them. As Quaestor, he has participated in the bulk of the Clan-wide
competitions that have been made, as well as continuing to make sure his
House has plenty of competitions as well. He has made numerous MB
signature banners for members of the House, including myself and Quejo.
He is a constant presence, both on the messageboards as well as on IRC.
His activity levels have earned for him the job of Gaming Tribune, a job
in which medal awards are given out right after the events is over. He
has also managed to update the point totals for the Sunday Invitational,
having to go through months and months of old matches to get everything
straightened out. He is also the House Envoy of Oriens Obscurum,
personally e-mailing each and every new member of the house in a timely
manner (and I know this since he cc's me on every mail).
However, it is not just his activity for which he is deserving of a
promotion. The activity alone would merit him a high-end award. It is
also his great job as a leader in Arcona for which he truly deserves this
honour. He came to Arcona due to troubling circumstances in his old Clan.
As soon as he joined, he was already e-mailing me with suggestions and
offers of help. He was soon named Aedile, and as my right-hand man was a
driving force in rebuilding the House. With him, the House was stabilized
and the "bleeding" that was happening was curtailed and new policies were
put in place. When the job of QUA came up, his was the only real name
considered. Under his tenure, Oriens Obscurum has gone from a house that
was barely active, to being a house bursting with activity from its
members. Last month alone, over a dozen members of the House were
rewarded for their activity. This is compared to barely a hand-ful of
active members before Smoke joining the House. The job of leader is truly
hard to explain and quantify, and so I ask you only look at the facts and
look at the House that he leads and has worked for since joining Arcona.
The turn-around is tremendous, and the activity level has improved by
leaps and bounds.
Since "stepping down" as QUA, Smoke has continued his tremendous spree of activity, both as Gaming Tribune and a member of this Clan. As Tribune, Smoke has been vigilante in ensuring medals are rewarded in an extremely timely fashion, while always looks for ways to improve the system (through the RoC, SIT lists and looking for new competitions). Within the Clan, Smoke recently led the entire Feud with his activity, being the only person from either Arcona or Taldryan to participate in all 11 events, including well over a hundred MP matches. When the Clan needs him, Smoke has always stepped up and pushed himself to help out in any ways.

Smoke's a marvel. Ever since he came back to Arcona three months ago, he
has continued to amaze us with his talent, dedication, and above all his
activity level. He's the most active gamer in Arcona and, indeed, in the
entire Brotherhood. He did every competition he could find, until his
ascension to Aedile and later Quaestor of Oriens Obscurum made him create
competitions instead. The CFs and other competition medals he has earned
are beyond counting, and for that alone he already deserves a major
reward.
However, his role as a leader is, if anything, even more vital than his
role as an active member. He's always on IRC, willing to help anyone who
asks. He's always on time with competitions and reports, and never fails
to notify the House if something important is going on. Together with
Halcyon and later Ylith, he has transformed Oriens Obscurum from a nearly
dead House into one very much alive, and filled with new potential. This
promotion is but a token of gratitude for all the work he has done, and
undoubtedly will continue to do, for Oriens Obscurum and Arcona.

I met Smoke in Tarentum. He was a greta Leader already, dedicated to the
people, willing to listen to she smallest of members and giving help to
those
who need help. He never doubted his members and their ability to be active
and has shown them respect and humility. When I knew him back then he
always came up with new Idea's and always spoke his concerns about
problems within the clan and his house. He was willing to go through
everything for his house and clan and is still willing to do so untill
this day.
When I met him in Arcona he was again a Quaestor, he has become
that which he loved within a small peroid of time and he got the recog-
nition he deserved. When I began serving under him it was a hard
time to begin with. How could I ever step into the footsteps of such a
great and dedicated leader? I didn't and I won't. His ways of Leader-
ship and the way he treats members of the house with a kind and
loving heart showing support on every front (House, Clan, Gaming,
Writing) even if they never asked him. He gives his critiques and
people learn from him.
I will follow my own path, but I will never forget who has been one
of the biggest examples I could look up to as a Leader myself.
