Elevation Request: Jedi Hunter
JH Gavan (7610)
Gavan has been, and continues to be, my Apprentice... an odd pairing as I am a writing specialist and he is a proficient MMORPG gamer. However, I believe we have both learned well from one another and it is my honor to scribe yet another benchmark in his Dark Brotherhood career: his advancement to Jedi Hunter.
Gavan, in the past three months since his last elevation, has accrued forty five (45) Clusters of Fire (CFs) from a combined four (4) Gaming Nights (Tuesday & Thursday). Submitted a graphic of his character in a battle (via SWG images - clever way to visualize characters!). Participated in several of the House Feud competitions (though not enough to earn a Merit medal: 3) and has continually been an active part of our MBs and IRC network!
However, the great majority of work that Gavan does comes on behalf of the DBPA. Gavan is a DBPA: Darth Lord and maintains that regal status for a reason. Over the course of time (since 2003) Gavan has been an integral part of the DJB Guild. During Pre-CU (Pre-Combat Upgrade) when regular runs would be made on Theed or Fort Veers to kill Rebel players. During this time, Gavan slotted well over a 1000 PvP kills on behalf of the DB. Additionally, Gavan helped with raids to the Death Watch Bunker (to collect rare Mandolorian armor parts) and the Corevette Run (to collect the rare AV-21 speeder core).
Next came the Combat Upgrade era... a sad time in Brotherhood history as the original PA crashed upon the rocks of SWG depression (the demise of the first DBPA). During this time Gavan remained without a guild, choosing instead to stockpile items for future events and re-tool his character sheet.
Then the New Game Enhancement (NGE) era was upon the young member. Scrapping his level 80 character and re-tooling a new level 90 Dark Jedi Master (within the DBPA) Gavan quickly ascended to the top and quickly became an Imperial Ace Pilot (Storm Squadron) and an integral part of helping new and old members alike. Refraining from the standard PvP, Gavan instead works with young members of the DBPA (like myself) clocking countless hours in helping them quest, level, collect new gear and Master their pilot skills. It is estimated that Gavan has helped almost 100 members attain Ace Pilot status, a great many of those within the Dark Brotherhood. Additionally, Gavan works with new members - helping myself advance rapidly to level 21 - and spending well over 12 hours by my side (without me asking).
Regardless of whether or not his Master is continually playing, Gavan still remains an integral part of the DBPA - helping advance the cause of the Pilot sub-class, making time to assist Raidoner with tasks and helping the new members that flock to the DBPA's banner.
For all of his achievements and work on behalf of the Dark Brotherhood, I believe this member is ready for elevation into the ranks of Jedi Hunters within the Brotherhood.
