I have only been Yeldarb’s Master for a short time, yet I can see in his actions and fervor that he has the makings of a truly great member. Since his promotion to Novice, Yeldarb has exhibited extraordinary resourcefulness, completing 17 Shadow Academy courses, earning his first merit award, and collecting 20 Clusters of Fire in the “For the Empire” competition. This type of behavior is to be commended in our newer members and it is my honor to recommend Yeldarb for promotion to the rank of Protector.

Yeldarb has completed all those requirements for promotion as laid out in the Clan Promotion Guidelines. This standard statement however pales in comparison and does not truly reflect the effort he has put into the DJB and the energy he brings to the House as a whole, infecting many of us with his drive. Since arriving barely a month ago he has stormed through all the tasks that have been put before him, and grabbed at everything else besides. It is strengthening that we have such a member join just before the GJW, and that we get to promote him just before. That means the work he will no doubt complete during this upcoming campaign will dealt with separately.

I readily agree that he should be promoted to Protector, but do not feel that he will satisfied in this rank for very long.
