Elevation Request: Obelisk Prelate OT Callus Bo'Amar (4195)

Because I'm sure others will write about Callus's accomplishments since his last promotion, I'll focus on Callus as a person. The Equite Guide for Promotion states that those who attain the rank of Obelisk Prelate are active and have an active interest in furthering their House or Clan.

As Knight Class Envoy and then Clan Rollmaster of Plagueis, Callus has taken a definite interest in furthering both his House and Clan. He has worked ceaselessly to streamline the Master Student Program that, when he took over, was in shambles. He works hard to contact new recruits as they roll in, answer their questions, and then set them upon the path to greatness.

Callus works diligently to help anyone in need, often without any expectations of a reward. If I ask for assistance on something I'm working on, I know that Callus will step forward to assist.

In addition to being helpful, Callus is almost always available. If I'm having a problem, it's normally very easy to find him in #plagueis and clarify something with him. His ability to make others in the channel laugh makes him a nice person to have around.

Callus was a driving force in my own personal DB career, and I know that other recruits who joined while he was KCE and Clan Rollmaster would say the same thing. He is a positive individual to look up to when one is a new member of the DB. He has made constant revisions to his own notes about the Clan Plagueis Master/Student Program, and has continued to make compatible pairings. For all of his hard work here in Plagueis, Callus more than deserves a promotion to Obelisk Prelate.

Congratulations, Callus. Well deserved.

Callus has preformed the duties of Knight Class Envoy, and now Clan Rollmaster, over the last six month period. In that time he has shaped and managed the Plagueis Master/Student Program, as well as everything to do with the retention and elevation of all under the rank of Dark Jedi Knight. He has done these tasks for the entire Clan since before I arrived on the scene. Since my arrival, his emails and council have been very helpful in ensuring that the early careers of our new arrivals have been recognized and given full credit for tasks that they undertake.

As well as guiding the careers of our most vulnerable, Callus is also a steady voice of reason to share ideas with, and his advice on matters of administration and character development are sound and based in good judgment.

In all, he indeed has been a driving force of change within Plagueis, that could be counted on to fulfill his duties regardless of his personal situation, and the situation within the Clan.

I fully support his elevation based upon the benefit and dedication he has shown in his position, to all of us in Plagueis.

Congratulations

Callus has served, continuously, as the Clan Envoy for the past seven months. It is a position that, in that time, was both chaotic and demanding in parallels not experienced by any House leader. With the constant changes in leadership (every leader from BTL to CON), he was the only piece of the Clan's foundation to remain steadfast in his conviction to see Plagueis to a better age.

His personal activity has included multiple submissions across the Clan. Callus drove participation in the Independence Games with at least eight submissions, he participated in at least a dozen Clan competitions (Trivia, Caption, Current Events, Crimson Conflict, etc) and several Brotherhood-wide competitions provided by the Tribune:Fiction, Raken, where he even placed in one (Swordhand). For his placing effort, he received a Sapphire Crescent. He also spearheaded a massive clan-wide run-on that spanned almost three weeks and brought about a major fictional development point for Plagueis concerning their continued involvement with the Crimson Tide. Callus also completed several SA courses, as well as being awarded a Dark Maven:Service degree. This ties in well with his continual involvement/participation in the Antei Combat Center where he continues to be a source of activity; driving himself to 45 total matches.

As an administrator, a leader in this club, one gives themselves over to selfless service. And there are very few positions as thankless as Clan Envoy in the Brotherhood. In Plagueis, Callus redrafted the Envoy program, developed new contact letters, mapped out a plan of action for leadership integration and pushed for growth and stability during the changeover of Consuls. From there, he constantly worked in new material that included fictional introductions, follow-ups, weekly mentorship e-mails (APP, NOV, ACO & PRT), oversaw the MSP (monthly updates and follow-ups), as well as creating reports (first as KCE, then as RM) to identify our strengths and our opportunities. All of which spurred new discussions on how we could, as a Clan, affect our own retention; then cascade that information out to the Brotherhood should it prove effective. From these reports, Clan Plagueis was able to share its thoughts with the GM, DGM, HM & P:HM as they sought ways to develop their own new initiatives concerning auto-promotion and set-up.

For laying his soul out for the Clan, his constant supervision of the Clan's new, upcoming talent, and his continual drive to see a stronger foundation for the Clan and, thus, the Brotherhood. I recommend Callus for this elevation.
