Solari takes his name from the Solari Lightsaber crystal. This was a common practise among Shard Jedi. When first introduced to the Brotherhood he named himself after the Vexxtal crystal but decided taking the name of a crystal corrupted by the Dark Side was inappropriate after swearing himself to the Light.
