Darkness entombed the corridors of the Arconan Citadel as rain pounded against the building. It was a cold and long night, for those up at least. Sabers could be heard locking together from one of the training rooms inside of the mighty building, a white blade connecting with an opposing blue blade. As the two sparing combatants broke away from each other, it was clear that one of them was far superior to the other.
“You still need to pick up your skills, though you have come a long way.” He told him, his voice calm even in the violent situation he was putting his opponent in.
Before the Journeyman even had a chance to speak, the Primarch was bounding forward, his two blades aiming to decapitate his opponent straight away. Forced onto his back foot, the Jedi Hunter brought his blade up to block. Before he could realise what was happening, the Equite’s saber dropped out of his grip, his hand making contact with the Ryn’s nose, hearing a wet, shattering crack as the bone snapped, sending blood dripping down the man’s face as he reeled back.
“Again, you left yourself open.” The Zabrak admonished, his eyes darting to the door before it even opened. Atyiru, the House Aedile, stepped through, coming towards the men, summoned to speak by the Quaestor. He waited for her words.
“They are ready for you.” She informed him. It seemed that Cethgus had not been telling the Ryn the whole truth about this little training session from the outset.
Nodding, his hands quickly put his sabers away, summoning the one that now lay useless on the floor with nothing but a simple flick of his wrist as he clipped the blade to his belt. Giving the Ryn but a spare second to do the same, he motioned for Kordath to follow his two superiors out the door.
Walking down the corridors, it soon dawned on the Jedi Hunter that he had never been into this area of the Citadel, although for a Journeyman that isn't that surprising at all. Finally, the two of them reached a dark door with the Arcona symbol engraved into it, the wood gleamingly clean, as if it had been polished every day since its creation.
Atyiru allowed her hand to extend knocking on the door clearly as she waited for a reply to her inquiry about entering this place. She got the response as the door creaked open, allowing the three of them to enter the mysterious office.
“Kordath, you have been summoned here for your recent action in the Crusades, as well as in response to the studies you have undertaken.” The voice that greeted him from the darkness was clear as day, belonging to none other than Marick, the Consul of Arcona.
“Due to all of your work and devotion, we see it fit to elevate you into the ranks of the Dark Jedi Knights. Welcome to Knighthood. Savor this moment, and know that your true test to this Clan has only just begun.” With these seemingly simple words, it was over, all the work, all the pain he endured, all the terrifying and life-threatening encounters. He had finally made it.
Kordath was finally a Knight of Clan Arcona.
..........
I am honoured to see Kordath finally reach the rank of Knighthood his hard work and dedication to the Brotherhood and Clan Arcona has seen him finally achieve the end goal for any Journeymen inside of the club. He is a constant presence in the Dark Crusades as well as outside of them becoming a friendly and known member of Arcona.
Though others have spoken about what he has done since his last promotion I am going to take the time to tell you about him and what work he does outside of the trials. Since Kordath joined he was a quiet member of Clan Arcona but that soon changed. He has got involved straight away inside of the Dark Crusades being a regular member in events and showing his support to the clan in its previous victories. He is always offering his help out to others as well as not being afraid to ask for help when it is needed. He has often spoken to myself and others about any work that is required and has been welcomed with open arms in doing such. He works hard and keeps himself driven in anything he does, for this he expects nothing in return. He is a true asset of both House Galeres and Clan Arcona.
Congratulations Kordath I see you finally made it to the rank of Dark Jedi Knight, your hard work recently is truly appreciated keep it up and keep driving to achieve higher inside the club. I look forward to seeing what you do.
Quaestor of House Galeres
