The Promotion from Protector to Guardian shows the real potential of a member and how far they are really willing to take the Brotherhood seriously. Much like the jump from Jedi Hunter to Dark Jedi Knight, it takes a large initiative to be promoted to the rank of Guardian.

Since James’s promotion to Protector, he has earned 5 Crescents for placing in a large array of competitions, has earned 5 Clusters of Fire for his fantastic gaming, and finally, has earned a Dark Cross for his great service to Taldryan in the Great Jedi War 9: Unification by participating in roughly 5 events ranging from gaming, to fiction, to graphics and trivia while maintaining active communicating via IRC and email. His constant activity on IRC and his practically-daily email updates to his house Summit greatly sets James apart from the other members of Ektrosis.

From the beginning of his DB career, I could tell James would go far in Taldryan, and in the Brotherhood itself, and I was more than correct. With the proper guidance I have seen James turn out to be one of Ektrosis’s top members, his overall attitude and maturity in the online world changing a greatly for the better. His attempts at gaining rank and position in the Brotherhood has finally started to grow from the burning coal it used to be to the blazing fire it is now becoming. For the reasons above, I am proud to promote James StarGazer to the outstanding rank of Guardian.

From your Aedile along with the blessing of your Quaestor, congratulations on your GRD, James. Well deserved! Hopefully this will set you on your way to further greatness.

• Six weeks at Guardian required - Last promotion was 4/1/2008

  • Logon to IRC and visit your Clan channel - He is regularly active on IRC, always willing to participate in a discussion
  • Register on the Dark Brotherhood forums - Already did this 1/22/2008
  • Participate in ten total competitions - He has participated in GJW Trivia, 3 GJW gaming events, participated in matches during ICTE, participated in Gaming Nights earning 12 CoF, participated in Lucien's February Gaming Extravaganza earning another 12 CoF, March Gaming Competitom, HC Journeyman Challange ((if you know of any others he's done off hand, feel free to add them)) are only the tip of the iceberg of what he's done in competitions.
  • Take a Shadow Academy leadership exam - Has already taken Conflict Mediation, Leadership Fundamentals, Leadership Studies
  • Place in a competition - Crescent w/ Ruby Star -First Place in the March Gaming Competiton - Crazy Random Assassination Problem
  • Earn 25 (total) Clusters of Fire - Accumulated over 250 clusters of fire
  • Earn a merit medal - Dark Cross for GJW participation

He also passed the Sith Core course. He was given command over the new battleteam, Validus Nocta, which he created a website for and is actively reporting, discussing competitions, and the like. We're very proud and honoured to give this promotion to Jack for he has most certainly earned it. Well done.

Jack has gone above and beyond for this promotion. Not only has he done the promotional requirements for it, but he has new ideas for the battle-team, especially a multifarious amount of different competitions, but also an idea to create a battle-team website. This promotion should have been given mid-GJW, so it's been long overdue.
