<I>Jedi Hunter Illian Syn stood on the deck of the water skiff in the late evening sun as he rushed toward the island where the citadel was. He arrived on the island and caught a glimpse of the enormous ziggurat crafted in a dark red stone set on Doto Rock. They pulled the skiff onto the beach and Illian approached the citadel.<BR><BR>

The entire population of the clan and many others had turned out for the ceremony. Syn strode up the isle to the base of the stairs leading to the pinnacle of the ziggurat. All of the Apprentices, Novices, Acolytes, Protectors, Guardians, and Jedi Hunters were standing near the back of the columns in order of rank. The Equites and the Elders were near the head of the column with the highest ranked members at the head of the column closest to the citadel. <BR><BR>

Illian saw his Master standing near the front of the platform eying his student confidently. Staying true to the code of the Brotherhood, the Master was in attendance to give witness to the achievements of their student. He was more exited than ever to have come so far and finally achieve this pinnacle in his training. Along with his Master was the entire membership of the Clan Arcona summit.<BR><BR>

Illian Syn stood before the summit of the clan as anxious could be. The pinnacle of the Journeyman ranks was within reach of his fingertips. It was this final choice that had to be made before truly gaining recognition within the Clan. He had to choose his darkness, his Shadowcrafting path. The ceremony was simple but the decision was life changing. <BR><BR>

The summit created a massive shadow that absorbed all of the light from the sun cloaking the entire area in darkness. The Hunter felt the shadow descend on him as the summit powered on their lightsabers cutting through the darkness. All of the Arconans on the ground who possessed lightsabers activated them as well. The darkness was cut by the rainbow that was created by all of the Clan's lightsabers.<BR><BR>

Syn focused on the shadows that were engulfing them and creating his own darkness to the shadow already around him. The Hunter's shadow reached out and seemed to push the others away and in an instant only his was left and used it to unleash the power that was wielded with the ability of the Arconan Clan Power, Shadowcrafting. He had chosen the Outer Darkness, using his own shadow in the physical world. <BR><BR>

"Rise now, a Dark Jedi Knight," came the unanimous call from the summit. In front of the new Dark Jedi Knight hovered his lightsaber. The hilt shone in the sunlight and the Knight reached out and took it in his hand. He thumbed the activation switch and powered on the blade. <BR><BR>

The humming felt natural in his hand as he turned to face the crowd and thrust the saber high into the air and shouted, over a thunderous applause:<BR><BR>

"ARCONA INVICTA!"</I><BR><BR>

Since Jack's promotion to Acolyte, he has been a flurry of activity. Jack is constantly on IRC, speaking and becoming actively engaged in conversation with other members. He also has been participating in competitions, earning himself a Crescent with a Topaz Star. He has also been gaming in both ICTE and gaming nights, earning himself 56 Clusters of Fire. He has also been taking Shadow Academy Exams (Conflict Mediation, Dark Brotherhood Basics, General Leadership, and IRC Basics). Finally he has completed his Character Sheet. Jedi hunter Tirano Yamayura has been a Jedi Hunter for a mere four months, but in that time, we have seen an explosive amount of activity as well as a desire to better our House and Clan from him. In that time, he has entered into seven competitions, placing in five. In addition, Tirano passed the Old Republic History Shadow Academy Course, earned 15 Cluster of Fires, and has submitted and ran two competitions at both the House and Clan level. But what makes Tirano such a valuable member is not just his consistency, but his enthusiasm. Tirano is a regular face on IRC, regularly visiting #Taldryan and #Ektrosis to talk to his leaders and fellow members. He lets his leaders know that there are not enough competitions available, and that we ought to get to work, and consistently asks what else can he do, or what is available for him to do. It is refreshing to see such an attitude in a newer member! Tirano has also shown a selfless side of himself to us. He was offered a part in the now practically finished Taruma Enrichment Project, run by both the Quaestor and Myself. He contributed with an amazing article concerning the local business prospects of the Natives of Taruma, as well as several enthusiastic attempts at a Map of the Planet itself.

For his consistent dedication to Personal Advancement at all costs, and for his Fantastic Work on the behalf of his House and Clan Mates, It is my Honor to bestow this Saber upon Tirano Yamayura! May this blade serve you well Dark Jedi Knight.

The Trial of Knighthood isn't a simple checklist as past ranks may have been. A person should be seen as a fairly active member of the Clan and House they belong to, completing many activities over several months normally to achieve the rank of Dark Jedi Knight.

Awarded with a Dark Cross in October of 2007, Tirano has always been an active and engaged member of House Ektrosis. There has never been a time where he has slipped out of our radar and disappeared, and his enthusiasm to do as his Summit commands him is unparalleled. According to his dossier, Tirano has placed in eight competitions alone since his promotion to Jedi Hunter (Don't listen to what Vodo says!), and has participated in even more. A gaming beast, he has 31 Clusters of Fire documented on his dossier since his promotion, but has nearly the same amount awaiting to be awarded for recent gaming nights.

His work on the Taruma Project was tremendous, and Vodo covered most of the basics regarding that. He wrote approximately three pages of fiction regarding the businesses of the planet as well as other small details, and also drew many maps of the continents on the planet itself.

Tirano has a warbanner for himself and built numerous relationships with members of both his House and Clan, and has been especially warm toward the newer members after the Archanis merger.

One thing Tirano lacks that most other Dark Jedi Knights have in Ektrosis is a formal leadership position. However, this is of little concern to me. Tirano has been a leader by example with his persistence in the gaming department (a rarity in our House), running competitions on a Clan-wide level, and having an admirable personality. Never once have I received complaints about Tirano, and he is always a fun and helpful member on IRC, email and the forums.

This continued dedication and loyalty to Taldryan is a facet of Tirano's character I treasure deeply, and I am proud to present him with the rank of Dark Jedi Knight. Congratulations!

Since her last promotion Ronovi has shown herself to be a powerful member of Gladius and of Tarentum. She has passed 5 SA tests and nearly outperformed everyone in the recent Clan run-on despite her late jump into it. She has been highly active on IRC, shown herself to be very intelligent when it comes to the written word, and is more than willing to help others. According to the Clan promotion guidelines she has done more than is necessary for promotion to the next rank. I am very proud to have Ronovi in the House and I look forward to her next achievement.
