Protector Draco Maligo (Krath) has performed outstandingly throughout his entire time in the DB, Arcona and my tutelage. I really couldn’t ask for a better student than the one I am teaching this very day. Draco Maligo has gone above and beyond for not only me as his master but his house and clan for that matter, while it does not always show from a quick glance at his dossier, I believe his devotion, respect and commitment to Arcona brings him to the top amongst Arcona’s brightest journeymen. Not only has Maligo helped himself overcome the facets of the Brotherhood as a newer member, but he has even asked me on occasion to let him lend a hand to help the house. By his activity alone he IS helping the house. Over his course of training I had Protector Maligo undergo eight trials by my choosing.

1- Maintain Weekly Communication via email reports every Saturday or Sunday 2- Attain the rank of Neophyte within the Antei Combat Centre. 3- Crafted a competition for later use. 4- Register at the Message Boards and using either the Undernet Website or downloading mIRC for communication 5- Create a graphic of any sort 6- Created a fiction that will be used until Knighthood.

Aside from my trials I put Maligo under; he also fulfilled Clan Arcona Reuirements meriting promotion:

1- Draco has joined us on IRC 2- Has completed an Order Core Exam. 3- Created a Character Sheet. 4- Joined the MSP under my teaching (Drodik Va’lence al’Tor) 5- He has participated in well over the established amounts of competitions needed. 6- And finally he has qualified for the ACC.

It is with great joy that I lead my apprentice to the next rank of the brotherhood; he has deserved it and worked hard for it. Draco, congratulations on your next step toward your saber!

Over the past two months, Rayne has been... I really don't know the right words to describe it :P

Either way, Rayne has participated in Plagueis Trivia, winning first place and a Legion of the Scholar, and has also recently participated in my The Bacon Menace competition, results not out yet. Along with this, though, Rayne has shown pretty much an IRC presence equal to that of Jac and Muz. Everytime I log on, she's there, and from what I know she is not just there, but always talking. I can't be sure, but I would estimate her IRC time for actually being there and talking to be somewhere around 400 to 500 hours.

Thus, above all, I believe she deserves this promotion to Protector for competition participation, patience, and ultimate IRC activity ~ CON Aabs

Malidir Trepidus Erinos Arconae

Obelisk Prelate (Equite 2)
Requested by
Malidir Trepidus Erinos Arconae
Primary reason

It is my honor and privilege to bestow the rank of Obelisk Prelate upon one of the most active, dedicated and all-around impressive members Arcona has seen in a long time. I am of course referring to Obelisk Templar Malidir Dinistr Erinos. Since the time of his last promotion, occurring on December 20th, 2007, Malidir has repeatedly demonstrated not only his ongoing faith in his House and Clan, but also his dedication to the furtherance of quality activity as it relates to the Dark Brotherhood as a whole.

During his nearly six months as a Templar, Malidir has served with distinction within Arcona, holding and executing such posts as Battle Team Leader, Rollmaster/House Envoy and Quaestor. His time spent in this last position was during the Arcona/CSP Feud and the most recent Rite of Supremacy, during both of which he played the dual role of active member and motivating leader. Malidir took over as Quaestor of Galeres in late January, after Selene had left. His first priority was the imminent Feud, and he passed that test with flying colours. Aside from his individual activity, the vast majority of top participants in the Feud were from Galeres. He also contributed in the motivation area, as a good Quaestor should, and could usually be found on IRC encouraging other members to participate. Arcona's crushing eight to nothing victory was owed in no small part to Malidir efforts – both his participation and his leadership.

While it has been said that leadership is an oft-elusive thing to measure, coming from someone who has been around during times of true unrest within Arcona, I can honestly attest to the fact that Malidir went to great lengths to gather members around – particularly in the RoS – and present a unified front in times of internal crisis. Such solidarity would likely not have been possible without his influence (along with his humour, quick wit and occasional sarcastic view of things). Additionally, Mal held posts as a staff member for the Fiction, Gaming and ICTE Tribunes, assisting in such ways as carrying out various assigned menial duties; including work on the Monthly Topics, ICTE moderation, game/server testing and score tabulation.

Malidir has been bestowed with a number of awards over the course of his DB career for various contributions, participation and excellence in the arenas of leadership, loyalty, writing and gaming. Focusing just on the non-competition/vendetta-related medals earned over the past five to six months since his elevation to the Equite class, he was awarded a Grand Cross of the Dark Side for his continued high-quality service, along with an Anteian Cross for consistent activity and success in ICTE events. Malidir’s dedication to his Clan was rewarded with the Seal of Loyalty and he also netted a trio of Legions of the Scholar for placing in trivia events.

Moving on to the awards handed down for specific competition or vendetta participation/placing, the list gets a bit longer. One Gold Nova and three Bronze Novae were earned in the most recent Rite of Supremacy, all as a result of gaming, which I’ll address more fully later. Stemming from various other competitions – and including the Arcona/CSP Feud and Outer Rim War III events – Malidir earned 14 total Crescents as an Obelisk Templar: five with Ruby Star, two with Amethyst Star, four with Sapphire Star, two with Topaz Star and a single Crescent with Quartz Star. Along with this, he earned 13 Pendants of Blood: six for defeating Guardsman of the GMRG and six for winning gaming nights. Last but not least, his participation in the Outer Rim War III and Rite of Supremacy provided him with additional honours, including six Seals of Darkness and five Seals of Dominance.

Not just active in standard competitions or general leadership roles, Malidir’s work as an Envoy for House Galeres must receive mention here. Again, during his time in his current rank, he has initiated contact with over 35 Initiates, Apprentices and other individuals that have transferred into Galeres from elsewhere. In many cases going over and above the standard boilerplate greeting and working to imbue said members with a true sense of what the DB has to offer and, more specifically, what they can do to advance through the ranks while still helping their Clan achieve greatness. Other areas of his efforts as a mentor are evident in his desire to promote his (obvious) favourite game, BF2. Having helped to train at least a half-dozen others – both within and outside of his Clan – his desire to work with others to set up team matches, learn new tactics and get everything from this platform is truly a rare and refreshing thing to behold.

Now, just to briefly touch on Malidir’s activity and influence in the area of multiplayer gaming within the Dark Brotherhood. First of all, one statistic seems more impressive to me than anything else I can say in this portion of my recommendation: during the time between his last promotion and now, he has earned more Clusters of Fire than all but four others have in their entire DB careers, to the tune of 1,923. He still maintains a rather comfortable 500+ CF lead over the next closest person to him in the all-time rankings. This alone is notable, but one must also take into account the impact on the rest of the DB gaming community. Had he won every match that he played (which he hasn’t, of course), that would equate to over 1,500 matches played with others, representing a great deal of activity that has been generated within the whole of the Dark Brotherhood and beyond. This is, to me, truly indicative of the dedication and devotion that should be dearly prized in the furtherance of keeping others active and involved.

Malidir participated in six ICTE events out of a possible 13 since being elevated to Obelisk Templar. In all but one of these events in which he gamed, he accumulated more CFs than the actual “All-Star,” a title that he refuses to be granted as he works on the staff and tries to secure additional participation whenever he is able. During those five events, he outscored the All-Star by an overall margin of 598 Clusters of Fire to 460.

In the bitterly contested Arcona vs. CSP Feud, Malidir again displayed his devotion to gaming, while still managing to achieve respectable results in other events, winning two gaming events outright and taking a third and a fifth place finish in two other events (one gaming and one writing). After participating in seven of nine events, he ended up with the highest overall point total out of all competitors – beating out 50-60 other people – as well as 150 CFs and numerous Crescents, solidly leading Arcona to a total victory.

When it came time for the DB to engage eight opposing clubs in the Outer Rim War III, Malidir again answered the call and participated in gaming in a noteworthy fashion. He participated in five of seven events; placing second overall twice, along with a fifth overall finish and two finishes of top ten within the DB competitors. Malidir earned 145 Clusters of Fire during the 170 matches that he participated in. Of the five events that he contributed to, the Sith faction was victorious in every one.

In the recent Rite of Supremacy, Mal participated heavily in the gaming events, choosing to focus his time and effort there and there alone. He achieved a first place finish in BF/BF2, two third places in JO and EaW (second and first in Arcona, respectively) and third overall in gaming (second in Arcona). All in all, he performed in seven of 16 events (counting overall gaming) and won Novae in four of those seven, also walking off with 340 Clusters of Fire for his efforts. The most notable things about his service to Arcona as it pertains to this Vendetta follow. Though he was only ranked 14th overall, he was ranked third in Arcona and second overall out of people who only participated in the gaming events. He also; in the space of two weeks; played (and won) more gaming matches than anyone else, with a 221-176 record putting him at nearly 400 games overall. Most notable of his achievements was his win in the BF/BF2 Ladder, with the largest margin seen in any RoS event (Malidir had 420 points, while his closest competitor had 108 points). Sure, your average person would have given up after gaining a modest lead and done something else, but he didn’t. To say that an effort of this magnitude was “wasted” or “needless” would surely be an affront to anyone who ever threw themselves into anything, declining to stop their efforts just because they had done what was perceived by some to be “enough”.

In closing, Mal is quite simply a source of inspiration to everyone in this Clan. When things get a bit rocky, he's always there to reassure people and to calm them down, often with his own brand of humour. His leadership has both made and kept Soulfire and Galeres the active, fun environments they are now, and if there's anyone "leading by example", it's him. I hope this document has sufficiently made clear why Malidir is absolutely deserving of this elevation, and I just want to add my sincerest congratulations to an all-around awesome guy. You deserve it, Mal.

Primary reason

It isn’t often you come across someone who’s both a highly experienced veteran and a relative newcomer. Timeros is one of those cases, though, and he has the rare quality of being able to combine the good aspects of both, resulting in a meteoric rise within Arcona. Today, it is finally time to reward Timeros for his efforts, and show him a gesture of appreciation that consists of more than just words. Today, the time has come for Timeros to advance to the rank of Krath Epis.

Silver Nova Bronze Nova Ruby Crescent Amethyst Crescent x2 Sapphire Crescent Emerald Crescent Topaz Crescent Cluster of Fire x9 Legion of the Scholar x3 Seal of Darkness x3

This is a list of the medals he’s earned since his return to active duty in Arcona, late 2006. Impressive in its own right, but even more so when you consider that the large majority of his work has been outside competitions, in leadership, training, and project development.

Tim considers himself a “projects man”, and for a long time, he associated that with being bad at actual leadership, and thus unsuitable for any position of note. Indeed, for someone who’s been in the DB for over seven years, who has been Archpriest since 2002, his leadership experience is rather limited. But I will always fondly remember the day he decided to step up and actually be a leader. And as it turned out, Tim isn’t merely good at projects, he’s an excellent all-around leader and very good motivator.

His time as Galeres Aedile is a perfect example of that. After week one, he has submitted detailed, well-written reports each week, quite a rare thing in today’s DB. I have yet to see him take more than 12 hours for an e-mail response, and whenever there’s a medal or promo recommendation to be written, he’s almost equally fast. In his time as Galeres Aedile, he effortlessly combined the House’s administration with motivational duties, and high-quality RoS participation as well.

His time as Proconsul has even been substantially better. Ever since I appointed him, and even in the three weeks he was not actually in his position, Tim has done more for the Clan than anyone else. Aside from submitting weekly reports, handling most of the medal/promo recs and communicating intensively with leaders on every level (I believe Sarin himself has described his communication as “excellent”), Tim has committed himself to both expanding and streamlining as many possible things in the Clan – the website, the ACC (by way of a special guide), training and mentoring facilities, our fictional background, and even medal and promotion procedures. And he’s still found time to run competitions, help individual members with their problems, and literally everything else a good PCON should do.

One of the things he came up with was Arcona’s unique ATR system, and that same system brings us this link: http://arcona.darkjedibrotherhood.com/activity.php?user_id=25 . It details pretty much everything he’s done, and you’re bound to find a bunch of things in there for which I simply didn’t have enough room in this rec. Also, having the hard facts behind the speeches is always nice.

Below is a selection of the projects he’s been involved in, but this by no means encompasses everything:

Clan Website: Orv made the thing, but Tim was the catalyst for the website renewal – he came up with the plans, what the website should contain, and proposed the changes. Most importantly, he came up with a revolutionary new ATR system that lets members enter their own activity, for every one of their leaders to check. This system has been in place and functioning for quite some time now, and we’re very proud of it – and the website.

ACC Manual: together with Selene, Tim wrote an extensive, 10+ page ACC manual for the Clan to use. It contains guidelines and practical tips from one of the all-time greats in the Centre, in a rather more friendly format than the cumbersome ACC Manual, and with the near equivalent of all the essential information.

Arcona Prospectus: Tim single-handedly wrote large parts of the Arcona Prospectus, and for the parts he didn’t write, he put together and coordinated a whole team of writers. Although the Prospectus is not yet fully complete, it’s well on its way, and has progressed remarkably fast. The current Prospectus can be viewed at http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/wiki/index.php?title=Clan_Arcona_Prospectus and I have to say, without Tim the page would probably still be empty.

Training Program: Timeros also took it upon himself to develop a complete training program for Arcona, encompassing all areas of DB life. Many hours have gone into this, and finding suitable trainers for each area (to name but a few: Fiction, ACC, JO, JA, EaW, BF/BF2, Graphics, and I’ve probably forgotten something) but he’s succeeded, and the program is now up and running. I’m confident it will very much benefit the Clan on our course to the next GJW.

Aside from his position-related activities, there are some more things I feel I should mention. First off, his activity in both the Arc-CSP Feud and the RoS. With three top-3 placements (out of five events) in the Feud and two (out of three events) in the RoS, it’s safe to say that Tim is one of the most high-quality participants out there. Especially in the ACC, his area of expertise. With a third place in the Feud, and a second place (20-1) in the RoS, his skill needs little questioning. But he has also offered to be Arcona’s ACC trainer, written a comprehensive ACC guide for the Clan together with Selene, and kept a special IRC channel running for Arconans in need of ACC assistance. Truly, his ACC-related work has been both admirable and extremely helpful.

All in all, I can hardly wish for a better Proconsul than Timeros. He picks things up where I leave off, he takes initiative of his own, and despite a lot of his work being behind the scenes, has still managed to make himself widely liked within Arcona. For his superlative work in the last six months, and for his general awesomeness, I am honoured to request Timeros Caesus Entar’s elevation to Krath Epis. Congratulations, my friend.

KPN Strategos T. Entar, Consul of Arcona

Here’s what some other people have to say about Tim:

Timeros Caesus Entar. After over 4 and a half years…though honestly it’s difficult to even say since the database doesn’t seem to really even record his last promotion…it’s time for this loyal Arconan to be moved up to the next rank. Since his illustrious return to action some months ago, Timeros made an immediate impact on House Galeres and Clan Arcona as a whole. Totally selfless, he wants nothing more than to help others to have fun and to make the rest of us look good with his own behind the scenes moves. Sure, Tim may not always see eye-to-eye with the Dark Council or with other Clans, but when it comes to his contributions to this Clan, there can be no question. He shares his own opinions and ideas with any who wish to share in them, and has served me loyally and very enthusiastically as my former Aedile in House Galeres before moving up to the Proconsul position. His regular reports are both easy to read and informative, and never lack attention to the fictional “in-character” feel that many members desire.
This member has worked hard for Arcona since I’ve known him, doing his best for the Clan in both the recent feud with CSP and the last RoS. There aren’t many members that I’ve been fortunate to be acquainted with that have his selflessness or his desire to make others better by way of his own work. Not only is he a superior motivator and wonderful writer, but he also does his best as an individual when the time is appropriate.
For these reasons, along with all of the other things that can’t be seen, I’m very happy and proud to lend my name to this recommendation. Excellent work, Tim…please stay with us for a long time and help us achieve ever greater things.

OT Malidir Dinistr Erinos, Quaestor Emeritus and RM/Envoy of Galeres

Timeros is one of the better leaders I've worked with, as well as being one of the more active and pleasant members to grace my Battleteam. I have worked Timeros as his boss, his subordinate and someone well below him on the food chain of command, and at every position he has done nothing less than his best, and even then he tried to improve. He has a drive that I feel slight envy for at times, he never shows signs of slowing and even when he feels wronged, he still does what he can to help the Clan, even if he is not officially recognised as doing such. However, it is his nature that also aids his command skills. He is one of the nicest people I know, easy to talk to whether it be for advice, consultation or simply to cheer me up when I'm down. His troops like him, but more than that they respect him. This, more than anything else, shows how skilled he is, for a leader without the respect of his men can never go far. Timeros is extemely deserving of this reward and it is one that I feel has been a long time coming, although as they say, better late than never.

SW Zandro Savric Erinos, Sergeant of Soulfire

I propose a name change. Arcona shouldn’t be known as the Shadow Clan, it should be known as the Luck Clan. We’re hellishly lucky to be able to count Timeros as one of our own. He is relentless in his pursuit of one goal; making Arcona great. His single-minded focus on the betterment of the clan, even at personal expense are an inspiration to us all. Even when he was removed from office temporarily, he still went above and beyond to keep us all ticking over, active and from going batshit crazy at the DC for removing our beloved Proconsul. He is pious and indomitable. It is an offence that Timeros is not rewarded for his dedication, loyalty and superb leadership during hard times, dragging Arcona back to its rightful place as an active, powerful clan of the Brotherhood.

OE Sashar Kodiak Erinos, Quaestor of Galeres

Following the Clan Feud several members of my family who were also my mentors, suddenly left the Clan Arcona. I wasn't sure where I would end up or what I would do, I didn't think Arcona was my home any longer. Timmy kept me here, he made it my home. He has always been there to talk too, to give me advice or to edit my fiction. He is a giant in the ACC having finished well in the feud and the RoS, he has worked tirelessly and without complaint for the clan Arcona for the last several months, he is currently acting as Consul during Strat's LOA and has the unflinching loyalty of his entire clan. I can think of no one else who deserves promotion more.

~ DJK Etah d'Tana, Aedile of Galeres

Tim works exceptionally hard to make Arcona a better place and he has indeed succeeded in getting higher activity levels across the clan and go forth with other Clan wide improvements two that immediately come to mind are the Arcona Website, with Orv as well as his imput and drive in the compilation of Arconan knowledge.

I realize that PCON is a difficult position and those who take the job are motivated and indeed above and beyond the activity of regular average DB members, however Tim takes this position seriously and maintains what I believe to be an even higher level of activity and motivation in preforming his duties then other PCON's that I have had the pleasure to serve under both as a regular member and Command Staff. He is really passionate about his clan and deserves appropriate recognition.

KE Alex d’Tana, Quaestor of Oriens Obscurum

Timeros Caesus Entar is a boon to the Brotherhood whose consistent activity and dedication within Clan Arcona has been an example of the type of DJB member that truly breathes life into the club. Timeros is consistently active on IRC: contributing to discussions relating to the betterment of the Clan; being a friend to its members; and being constantly available for questions from members both in and out of Clan Arcona. Within the Clan, Timeros is constantly running competitions to keep members active; playing a vital role in the development of Arconan backstory and fictional development; recognizing members' achievements and rewarding them promptly; initiating and steering the direction of development of the Arcona Website, a central hub for Arconan activity tracking and news; he submits his office reports consistently; and the list goes on and on. He is a member to model oneself after. For his dedication the the club, the clan, and each member individually, I recommend Timeros Caesus Entar for a promotion within the DJB. No member deserves it more.
