Since day one, Melkor has amazed me with his enthusiasm and activity. He has asked questions and been very active. He recently took 1st place in the writing portion of the recent clan competition. This is amazing because most new members rarely win large competitions from the start. I do believe that in many ways, this promotion is actually well overdue, and that for all of his activity and work so far, Melkor has proven that he has learned new skills and sought out new information. ~Anshar

As a master to Melkor one would assume that I have a special interest in seeing him take an extra step towards the all important Knighthood. Alas any and all praise that can be bestowed upon Melkor is much deserved and worked for. During the recent Clan competition Melkor participated in every round with submissions that won him recognition. Not only has Melkor proven his worth in Clan Competitions but he has also gone beyond the call of duty and volunteered to participate in a project to help the Clan develop a fully formed history and to gain an even better sense of identity, couple with his constant enthusiasm and contact means we are justified in bestowing this well-deserved promotion on this valued partner in our journey to improve our beloved Clan. Congratulations my Apprentice. ~Welsh

I have seen CannabIs work hard since I’ve known him, most recently in the clan competition where he did come into 5th place overall for the gaming portion of the competition. CannabIs has worked towards improving himself, but to my knowledge, he has never asked about being promoted, or rewarded. He’s here to have fun, but we can reward him when he has been active, and when he has shown that he has learned much. For his activity and dedication, this is a reward well earned. ~Anshar

An active gamer, colourful IRC presence and a regular poster on the message boards CannabiS is a fundamental member in Clan Tarentum and I can only see his form and importance growing. An important member of the circle Daemoni he contributes greatly to the medal tally of one of Tarentum's more distinctive circles and should I feel be rewarded for his continual efforts over the past month. ~Welsh

Primary reason

For some time now, Zekk has been a consistently active member of the clan and the Brotherhood as a whole. Zekk has held both circle leader and Aedile positions since his last promotion, lending his experience and leadership to each level of command. As Magistrate to the Herald, Zekk has been active in keeping the Brotherhood informed of Star Wars related events.
Zekk has always done excellent work when he was in command of a unit, directly helping new members and providing competitions for them to do. Zekk has always been a friendly face to everyone in the clan, especially in IRC. Zekk also has a long history of leading by example from his participation in all levels of competitions to offering advice and suggestions to the leadership of both his house and his clan. Zekk recently participated in a large clan competition, taking 3rd place in the gaming portion of that competition. In his current position as Rollmaster of Tridens, Zekk continues to aid the house summit.
One final thing I would like to note is the time Zekk has spent at his current rank. Over my years in the Brotherhood, I have noticed many people who, when they felt that they were unnecessarily delayed in advancement, left the Brotherhood, or at least transferred to other clans. Zekk has stuck with it all, though, and continued to be active. Zekk is very much the embodiment of what a Brotherhood member should be. He’s here to have fun and if rewards and character advancements come from that activity, then so be it.
Because of his time, his dedication, and his activity in his house, his clan, and the Brotherhood as a whole, I recommend him for the rank of Obelisk Exarch.

~Anshar

Since I joined Tarentum almost three years ago one of the names I keep hearing attributed to good deeds is Zekk. A constant performer, good friend and always a source of an honest opinion. Through his time I have served as Proconsul in this Clan and his Aedile in Gladius for a short while he has never stinted from a path of service to the Clan be it through training members in the First-Person games and even participating in games himself.
Recently he transferred over to House Tridens to aid them in their time of need with the summit upheavals and with the blessing of the House and Clan Summits took upon himself the position of Rollmaster and Sergeant of Battle Team Cestus. Activity since I've begun to take note has been exemplary, participating in every clan run-on going, Clan competitions rarely go past without seeing his name as one of the entrants and recently he has been an instrumental participant in the gaming nights for Tarentum. As things stand it would be a great pleasure for me to promote Zekk for the work he has done, and will continue to do for the Clan.

Sato Tarentae
Primary reason

I got to know Sato through the Master-student program in the clan. The entire time, he impressed me with his ambition and his activity. But, Sato was not blinded by his ambition, but was instead patient and he kept working hard. These qualities are what put us here today.

Sato has for some time now served as Knight Adjutant of the Brotherhood, my assistant within the Envoys. He has always done the duties I ask of him, he has done them well, and he has done them fast. Whenever I need a table updated, he does it. He helped with the large Envoy project published back in December, taking half of the work load. It was long and hard, but we pulled it off. It would have taken me a lot longer to do it by myself.

Sato also serves as the Envoy of House Gladius. From there, he works very hard to do that job well. He has consistently welcomed the new members and functioned as a major resource for them. He has encouraged their participation. Just recently, in order to help ensure that the Envoy work gets done and done well, Sato approached me about appointing an assistant envoy. Sato also serves now as the Aedile of Gladius and he has performed admirably in this job. Not only has he served as an advisor to the Clan Summit, a job that I believe automatically applies to the House Summits, but he has encouraged activity in his house. He has led by example, participating in many competitions himself, and he and Frosty make an excellent team and provide good balance for the house between gaming and writing. ~Anshar

I've known and worked with Sato since he first joined this Club and began among the lowest rungs in House Gladius. The past months have been a story of continuing success and progress for this member and as faith in his abilities he been bestowed with numerous positions of responsibilities in this Brotherhood. From my perspective I know him as the fine Aedile that he is, never slacking in his duties and always enthusiastic with embracing new ideas and concepts to better his House whilst never shying to offer suggestions himself. Sato offers many great qualities to Gladius. A pillar of dedication and strength he has surpassed each and every expectation I had for him on the first few days of contacting him. He is of good character, always friendly, always eager to engage in debate and always ready to volunteer his time to help with any project that's going.
Sato, congrats mate and carry on with your sterling work for Clan and Brotherhood. Welsh

Gaidal Dupar
Primary reason

I am honored to request the promotion of Dark Jedi Knight Gaidal Dupar al'Tor. Gaidal has earned the right to enter the Equite class through his hard work and dedication. His understanding of the Dark Side of the Force has matured to the level where he understands that his Clan and Order are larger than his personal desires. Since becoming a Dark Jedi Knight five months ago, Gaidal has served as a member of House Exar Kun's summit. He spent two months at the position of AED and then followed that time with two months at QUA. During this period of leadership House Exar completed several large scale projects. These projects included the creation of House Exar Kun's home planet and satelites, the improvement of the House's artifact descriptions, the creation of two Clan Planets, and the creation of Squadron fighter names. Gaidal also ran several competitions that motivated and improved the activity of his House (Almighty Aedile, Returning to Eden, Losing Elysian, Elysian Expedition, Blinding LIght, and Deep Shadows).

In addition to improving his Clan and House, Gaidal found the time to finish first place in DB Wide Competition (Mission Impossible 2), obtain the rank of Neophyte in the ACC, and train Aabsdu to the rank of Dark Jedi Knight.

Gaidal has served well beyond the capacity of a Dark Jedi Knight and is ready to become a Sith Warrior. He has contributed to recent improvement of Clan Plagueis and has distinguished himself amongst his peers. Congrats Gaidal!

Levathan has proven himself to be a loyal, competent and above all enthusiastic Circle leader creating numerous comps for his competitions for his circle members to partake in. Not only has he been doing his best to encourage participation with innovative competitions and a great attitude but he has also been leading by example, a principle we strive to maintain here in Tarentum, as such I feel he his deserving of this token of my respect. ~Welsh

Levathan has been consistently active for some time now, but I really see it through his work with the Keepers. He has taken a circle with a long history and done his best to keep it alive, running competitions and just being a present leader. Welshman really summed everything up very well. Needless to say, I support this promotion. ~Anshar

Vessicant
Primary reason

I am honored to request the promotion of SBL Vessicant. Vessicant has earned the right to enter the final tier of the Equite class through his hard work and dedication. His understanding of the Dark Side and the Force has matured to the level where he understands that his Clan and Order are larger than his personal desires.

Over the past one year and eleven months Vessicant has contributed to the development of the Dark Brotherhood, Clan Plagueis, and House Exar Kun. His work as an ACC trainer has been nothing short of spectacular. He has trained 91 members in ACC matches at the Proving and Training Grounds. His thought out guidance and instruction of ACC combatants has improved the standard of incoming initiates and has improved the overall ACC. In addition to the training of new members in the ACC, Vessicant also created an ACC Trainer guide that is now being finalized by the Combat Master. This guide will show future ACC trainers how to properly train and guide new members of the ACC.

Vessicant has also served his Clan and House over the past year. He served as QUA of Kirleta for four months. During this time he improved the activity and morale of his House by creating an ACC guide for the House, training Envoys, and creating the configuration of the House Fighter Wing.

While Vessicant has dedicated the majority of his time over the past year and eleven months to improving other members experiences in the DB through the ACC, he has also found the time to stay active on a personal level. He has fought in the various ACC forums 41 times, earned 13 CFs, competed in the GJW (earned a DC and Bronze Novae), competed in the Independence Games, Competed in Multiple Clan competitions, and competed in multiple House competitions.

Vessicant has served well beyond the capacity of a SBL and is ready to become a Sith Warlord. His contributions to the Dark Brotherhood, ACC, and Clan Plagueis have truly placed him as an elite within our organization.

The Combat Master Adds:

I have always held to the adage that being a Trainer in the ACC is not an easy task. Writing with and trying to help someone who may not know how the ACC works can be trying on patience and even level of desire. Perhaps the most stable ‘core’ staff in the ACC’s history, a lot would be lost without Vessicant. He undertakes more battles, both training and qualification, on a consistent basis than anyone else and he is always striving to improve each combatant. Rarely, if ever, have I seen him give up the instant it became difficult or frustrating, but that’s just his nature. I have had the pleasure of having Vessicant by my side (or at my throat :P) in every position I’ve held in the DB. First in CSK, where he was quick to help in areas where Sith knowledge was needed, taking the pressure off the creation of the Clan’s order of battle that went long untouched till we tackled it. My year as PCON in the Clan would have been utterly unproductive without Vessicant who always jumped in first when something needed his expertise. Second, as time passed, I was lucky to be able to call on him even though our paths had split from the same Clan and led me to the ACC. Because of our ‘history’; he was one of the first hires I made upon my appointment as CM, and it was one of the smartest moves I have ever made. So many people are willing to just go with the flow, but Vessicant’s desire to be ‘better than that’ make him one of the best Trainers on the staff. It’s been a year now and in that year Vessicant has earned himself a Sapphire Blade and a Steel Cross as well as the title of Champion in the ACC. Within his SB-SC time frame (approx.6-7 months ago to present) his contribution of trained and qualified Initiates has easily gone into the hundreds, still maintaining his ‘hardest working trainer’ epithet. His commenting is thorough and his instruction is sound, so much more than just spouting out jargon, he has an honest ‘caring’ for the Initiates. In addition, his contributions to the ACC Compendium are priceless as well. When it comes to ‘specifics’ Vessicant has a very keen eye, which seems to be able to pinpoint the slightest inconsistencies. He has been helpful, in that regard, because it ensures that the Compendium just keeps moving forward to a complete and virtually perfect set of documents. Currently, he is spearheading a Trainer’s Guide to insert into the ACC Staff Handbook. It covers everything from the basics of administration (from a Trainer’s point of view) to “how” to actually explain the ACC’s judging criteria to, even, how to deal with Initiate’s who are not primarily English speaking (which, in itself, is an invaluable piece of guidance). Coupled with my views concerning the ACC staff and their work, is my vision of the ACC as a whole. I have stated, time and again, that this is an extremely unique situation to be in as a staff member. I can think of no other platform in the DB that expressly requires dissolving Clan and Order affiliation in performance of its duties (that involve Clan and Order members directly), while attempting to maintain Clan and Order affiliation as part of those bodies as well. Very often, staff members will see their Clan activity dwindle because of their dedication to the ACC (and, by default, the Brotherhood as a whole) and are often ‘docked’ for that when the idea of promotion rolls around. In my opinion, this promotion has been a long time coming for Vessicant, too long if my vision of the Centre were shared by others. He has repeatedly and consistently proven his dedication to the club through this medium, and I’m hoping, when combined with his Clan recommendations and (perhaps) others, the ‘big picture’ of his work ethic and determination will be realized. It is in that wise that I whole heartedly recommend SBL Vessicant be elevated to the rank of Sith Warlord (SWL). ~DA Dalthid, Combat Master 20060303
