Xen'Mordin was easily our most active ACC participant, completing more battles in the tournament than even any tournament participants in the Beta! He was also the most prolific of testers as far as feedback, logging several comments into our comment site and providing us with a wealth of uber-helpful feedback relating to rules and structure of the ACC. Finally, and unfortunately, he ended up being an unintentional rules guinea pig in a way that allowed us finally fix some judging issues related to the Story category that, had he not stumbled onto unintentionally, we may not have addressed prior to launch. For these reasons, he more than deserves this Grand Cross!

Alaris has been a steady participant and judge through the entire ACC process. As a participant, he played in several matches and deep into the tournament; as a judge, he has graded numerous exams, several battles, and weighed in whenever feedback was needed over the course of several months. He also assisted Wally with the Character Creation Guide. His quick response time and participation in every facet of the ACC beta process more than earns him this Grand Cross.

The Diamond Sword is awarded to members who have shown an impressive array of talents and qualities over a continued period of time. Telaris "Mav" Cantor has been displaying his impressive array of talents and qualities for over 17 years and it is past time for his armory to include the Diamond Sword. The Antei Combat Center fell into disarray and participation dropped to an all time low of 2 matches per month during 2012. This dramatic decrease in the ACC's role in our club occurred during our transition from a gaming club into a writing focused organization. The ACC's decline timed with our dramatic shift towards writing indicated a drastic change in the way we conducted business was needed. Mav served as the catalyst of that drastic change and ushered our entire club through dramatic changes. Character sheets morphed from simple stat based place holders into story enhancing character descriptions, ACC qualifications morphed from a long drawn out process into a streamlined ACC experience, and the ACC morphed from a technical rules based writing process into a entertaining story of combat. Mav's dedication on character sheets and the ACC have spanned over a years worth of effort and his contributions have made our club a better place. Mav, thanks for all you have done and for the improvements you have brought to our club. - Grand Master Sarin
One of the things I often cite as a rare trait these days is the ability for someone to simply do what they say they will do. Once upon a time this used to be the norm. These days it seems to be the exception. During Mav's tenure as Combat Master I'm pleased to say we have another rare instance of the former rather than the latter. It took a while, there were bumps along the way, but in the end Mav got it done and to the standard we set for him.
For keeping his word and doing what he said he would do I am grateful, the Voice and Grand Master are grateful, and the Club is grateful.
Congratulations, Mav.

The true indicator of an elder in the Dark Brotherhood is their ability to consistently dedicate their time and energy to our club in a way that enhances the experience of our members. The true indicator of a Dark Prophet is that they provide this activity behind the scenes, without drawing attention to themselves, and without expectation of award.
Halc is the epitome of what we expect our Elders and Prophets to be. Halc has served as a crucial member of the Character Sheet/ACC teams over the past year and has provided an exceptional amount of work behind the scenes. He has edited documents, written guides, re-written tests, graded tests, graded ACC matches, participated in beta testing, and provided countless volumes of feedback to our members as they navigate the new ACC experience.
Thanks for all you have done! - GM Pravus
Several months ago, Sarin sent Halc, Shadow, and a couple of others the alpha version of the ACC Guide, Fundamental, and Qualification exam, looking for input.
The result was a complete and total re-write of the ACC Guide and the Qualification exam, with Halc and Shadow splitting the work and reach writing half the guide. The outcome? Nothing short of a gigantic and amazing shift in the way we do things. Working with those two, we came up with a new direction for qualification that will help to streamline the ACC Entrance experience. Halc specifically took on a role as a Judge, applying his extensive expertise from his time as Combat Master to assist us in a number of areas, especially in the area of the Judging Guide. Halc took part in the Closed Beta we ran, one of a small handful of people to test the earliest code Kalen put together, and later, served as one of our most active judges in the Open Beta. His work goes on the ACC goes beyond just the ACC Guide or the Judging Guide, as he also is one of the more active graders for Qualification exams, offering valuable input to many members on ways they can improve. At every turn, and with every document, Halc has been there to provide instrumental feedback, and has been essential to completion of the ACC, and thus, he more than deserves this Amethyst Kukri! ~ Mav

The All New and Improved ACC is the result of nearly nine months worth of coding, coding which has been performed almost in it's entirety by Kalen alone. It should surprise nobody that this by itself is no small feat and worthy of recognition, but allow me to add that this has been achieved while also juggling the tasks of a full-time DC position and a quite busy real-life situation. Kalen has, since work on the ACC started, survived the ever-increasing and ever-changing requirements and wishlists for the ACC, and has managed to deliver a product that we can all be proud of and will certainly shape the experience for members of our site for years to come. I will leave the mentioning of his accomplishments as Master at Arms to my fellow Dark Councillors, and close by stating that this Emerald Dagger is very well deserved. - SCL DJM James Lucius Entar Arconae
The ACC is the culmination of over one year of dedication and effort. The process to design a new ACC started with an ideology of story driven dynamics that began with the new character sheets and continued throughout the ACC's development. Our MAA, Kalen Aquillarum, served as the primary coder and an integral part of the ACC team . He participated through our early design planning and crafted our ideas into a reality. This was no easy feat due to changing priorities, new ideas, and project creep that altered and changed the design of the ACC in more ways than we can count. Beyond coding, Kalen's own ideas shaped and crafted the ACC and resulted in the finished project launched today. Our new ladder system is his baby and its value will be shown in the coming weeks with a Vendetta level competition. I'm honored to recommend Kalen for the Emerald Dagger, a truly deserved award. - Grand Master Pravus
Kalen has spent the majority of the last year coding alone on a project that, finally today, the entire club can enjoy. He was always willing to work in my changes, often despite them not making a ton of sense at the time I requested them. On top of that, every feature he implemented was met with yet another request, and all he was more than willing to see through. Despite pulling double duty as the coder for this major project and MAA, Kalen was able to put together a great system that the club can enjoy for years to come! For that, and for putting up with my endless list of requests, he deserves this Emerald Dagger! ~Mav

Marick Arconae has served on the new ACC's staff since the projections inception. Marick has served in multiple roles as content creator, administrator, course designer, and guide writer. These roles have been tremendous in their scope and herculean in their effort. Throughout Marick's tireless efforts he has always been driven by the principle of delivering content that enhances and improves the average members experience in the Dark Brotherhood. This began with his work on the creation of character sheet guides, species creation submission sheets, and multiple other projects designed to help our members create character sheets. Marick's efforts as an administrator for the Voice staff saw him approve, remand, and provide content on hundreds of character sheets. He would purposely take the time and effort to provide feedback to members who had their character sheets remanded and would often email them to help walk them through the process. Wally continued his work in the realm of mentorship by developing the ACC Shadow Academy Exams designed to teach our members how to participate in our new story driven ACC. These exams and their new function as qualification tools for the ACC required a level of detail and explanation that few exams can boast. Marick crafted them in a manner to help and improve our club's ability to participate in this avenue of activity. Lastly, Marick has written and designed an multiple guides (CS Guide, CS Approval Guide) relating to the ACC/Character sheets that further clarify any potential misunderstandings our members may have. These guides were written with no direction and guidance and were solely the fruits of Wally's desire to help our membership. Marick is a master mentor in our club with a focus on helping every member to enjoy our organization. An award like the Ruby Scepter was designed for members like him. Congrats! - Grand Master Pravus
Wally has always been my deputy of sorts, but his most important work of late has been as a mentor and teacher for new members working through designing custom Aspects. Wally is incredibly creative and has gotten very good at helping guide and develop member's character sheet Aspects. While he sometimes seems overzealous, he is driven by a desire to help every single member that submits a CS. Wally has added most all of the new races added to the system recently, has been proposing new feats, and has worked tirelessly to see that member concerns are addressed in his CS work. On top of this, he is by far the fastest to clear and approve the character sheets in the Queue.
This same attitude towards mentoring was visible when he originally proposed the two tests for the ACC, the first of which, ACC fundamentals, is used virtually verbatim from his first proposal. He continues to be one of the faster judges over the course of the Open Beta, and he served as one of the small number of Closed Beta testers.
Overall, Wally's strong drive to continually improve the members of this club and to help them understand and enjoy the systems he helps create make him perfect for the Ruby Scepter... So congratulations, Wally! ~ Mav

Dark Jedi Master Aidan Kincaid, aka Shadow, should be credited with nearly every design concept and invention found within the new ACC. Shadow's ideas crafted a new ideology to focus on story driven character sheets and in turn a story driven ACC. This new ideology was designed in order to bring the ACC to a wider audience and support our club's transition from a gaming organization to a fiction oriented organization. The development of Fate based character sheets is owed to Shad, multiple aspects of our new grading mechanics designed to enhance story are owed to Shad, and nearly every current ACC venue is owed to Shad's editing/writing. Shad's work on the ACC has been spectacular, time consuming, and we are fortunate that he has provided us with his efforts. An Emerald Dagger is a well deserved award and one that fitting for a member who worked without expectation of any award at all. Thanks Shad. I appreciate everything you gave to this project. - Grand Master Pravus
Without Shadow, I wouldn't be involved in the ACC much at all... and I wouldn't have picked up the character system. Shadow's influences, though, extend far past these two systems, to virtually every fictional endeavor we have worked on. New NPCs? Shadow can do it. Wiki needs updating? Shadow already realized and has started doing it. In a way, Shadow's work on the fictional side of this club is almost everywhere, yet he absolutely refuses to take credit for almost anything, making it difficult for the average member to really see his contributions - beyond the stellar quality of his writing that routinely places in every competition.
Back to the ACC specifically, Shadow co-write the ACC Guide with Halc, wrote or adapted every single current venue in the database, created the initial site plan from which Kalen built the site, and has edited every single document we've had relating to the ACC, to judging, and to any other endeavor. On top of that, he served as a Judge through Open Beta, and was one of the most active participants in the ACC tournament, where he has now reached the Finals.
To put it simply, Shadow more than deserves this Emerald Dagger. He has been absolutely essential to not just this project, but just about every fictional project we've worked on over the last year. ~ Mav
