Primary reason

Celahir is a pillar of Arcona. He is, for all intents and purposes, one of the primary reasons for Arcona’s continued success, and I am honoured to be writing out a recommendation for him. Wally has taken the liberty of detailing in great detail what Celahir has achieved over the years in Arcona. Consider this a preamble.

I remember Celahir’s first words when I joined the Clan back in ‘09 as a lowly little DJK, “If you need any help, my door is always open.” And consult him for help I did. An awful lot. Celahir had recently been made Proconsul of Arcona, and the way he led was not necessarily a new way, but it was an effective way; he approached members in need of guidance, and always sought to help people, whatever their woes may have been. This may seem like an obvious thing, but it is often forgotten in the grand scheme of Brotherhood’s hierarchy and bureaucracy. I like to think of Celahir as an innocent within such a political picture. He is only in it for the people. That’s all for which he’s ever been in the leadership game. To help others, not himself. It was this caring mentality that brought him the position of Consul on the back end of Dash’s two-year tenure. And it was this caring mentality that helped him succeed in such a role. He revolutionised Arcona, and set the foundation of what Arcona is today. He was the beginning of the new, revitalised, reshaped Arcona, and I am not afraid to admit it. Through the struggle and strife of declanning, through the internal fractures and fissures, Celahir remained cool, calm and collected, rallying his troops behind the single banner of Arcona, and displaying a truly remarkable sense of guidance and authority in the face of chaos.

Since his tenure as Consul, he hasn’t forgotten his mantra. He still pops up to help the summit out, and he’s always offering his services in coding. Unfortunately, we don’t get to see as much of him as we’d like due to real life constraints, but when we do see him, he never ceases to amaze. Sapphire Blades are generally awarded for ‘long-term service to an individual’s Clan or Brotherhood position.’ Well, Celahir has given his all to Arcona for two years. He has displayed an unfathomable amount of talent, and has never wanted for reward. His ‘positions’ in Arcona have been many; from Aedile, to Quaestor, to Proconsu, to Consul, however I think his true ‘position’ in Arcona is that which I mentioned at the beginning. He is a pillar, an example to all, a representative of what one should expect from the first Clan of the Brotherhood. A first Clan sculpted by Celahir himself.

He strives only to help his peers, and in that, he outdoes the lot of us. In an official capacity, Celahir has more than displayed long-term service to his position and/or Clan. In an unofficial capacity he has done so much more.

Irfan, you’ve more than earned it. Thank you for being you.

Keep it up.

~Wuntila Entar Arconae, Consul of Clan Arcona.

I feel like this award is long, long overdue. It’s hard to bring the past to the fold as the Brotherhood is very much a “live in the now” mentality. We would not have a now, though had it not been for the hard work and sacrifices of leaders that came before us, though, and it for that reason we honor something that should have been done a long time ago. Celahir Erinos is as much a part of Arcona as the letters that combine together to create the existence of the word. He has been here ever since I landed 3 years ago, and was always someone I looked up to as both a member and a leader. I had the pleasure of serving under him, and he was part of the reason I was made a Battleteam Leader in the first place. It is because of him I started my career with the Arconan Summit, so It would be silly of me to say I would be here had he not been willing to take a chance on me. I got to work with him in my first run as a summit member, and watched him handle what was probably one of the hardest things in the world for a leader to endure - de-clanning. It was a major hit to most of us, even though I was still new and didn't fully grasp the magnitude of it. In short, Celahir was at the head of Arcona in it's darkest hours, and somehow managed to keep us from losing ourselves in self-pitty. In a time where we hit our lowest low, and with the world dumped on his shoulders, Celahir shouldered it, and kept us strong and together. He helped me gain confidence in myself as a Battleteam Leader, helped me draft Reboot 2.0, which is still the standard in which Battleteams are treated in Arcona. A lot of the things he did were more subtle, but still highly enjoyable - he created the Arcona Quote Database, which stores our most humorous antics, and always finds a way to keep us cheerful. He was part of the massive driving force of the team that got Arcona re-clanned.

He was ready to step back up to bat when called on to become Quaestor of Galares, when we finally regained our Clan status. It was then that I got to work with him as an equal, his counterpart Quaestor in House Qel-Droma. It was a great feeling knowing that he was right there with me, and was extremely helpful in my growth as a leader.

Sacramental Blades are given for extreme dedication to a Clan. That is why I feel that Celahir is long overdue this honor. His continual work with the Arconan Website, maintenance/administration of the Clans Message Boards, are only small examples of what he does behind the scenes as a coder for the Brotherhood and Arcona as a whole. Most recently; he really stepped up with running Operation: Rolling Thunder, a clan-wide internal event that drew in a very impressive number of entries and provided members with much appreciated activities to participate in. He was awarded a Cythraul (Arcona's unique in-character pets that are awarded as a symbol of achievement) for his work with the Clan, and continues to work behind the scenes with improvements towards Clan Arcona. I have no doubt that Celahir will go down as one of Arcona's best. His heart is unmatched, he cares about every member, and puts everything he has into anything he does.

For this, I am honored to award Celahir a Sacramental Blade. Congratulations, brother, you more than deserve it :).

-Marick Arconae

Celahir Erinos is more deserving of recognition than anyone else I know currently in the Brotherhood. Time and time again, he's been overlooked in favour of flashier, louder flavours of the week who often fizzle out inside a year, but his commitment to Arcona has been felt from the first day he transferred in, a bright-eyed Journeyman from Tarentum. I must admit, I never thought I'd see the day when he was Consul, but he proved himself time and time over, leading them through the darkest period since GJW 7, never wavering in his commitment to the esteemed Shadow Clan. Since then, he's been quietly brilliant. Chugging away behind the scenes, and what's more, people like him. He may not be the most visible leader Arcona's always had, but he has a good, lasting friendship with every single person of import in that Clan and, as Marick said, it is a heinous offence that he has been overlooked this long. Traditionally, Sacs are given out for lasting commitment over a long period of time, or spurts of pure brilliance during vendettas. Celahir has done both, and deserves this and much, much more. Well done, little brother. Keep on showing them how it's done ;) - Dash

I've worked with Celahir twice now, both times as his Aedile. His right hand man. The first time, it was when he took over from Legorii as Quaestor of House Qel-Droma. Under his leadership, HQD slowly became the powerhouse it is today. Our combo reports were the talk of the Clan...and of the DC. Namely after Muz told us to be less rude. But, people actually looked forward to reading our reports. Strange that...But I digress. Celahir helped me with my confidence as a leader, giving me projects and confiding in me on multiple issues. Alas, I left our partnership then to take over as Quaestor of Galeres. Where I then worked with him as a peer, organising competitions and encouraging the membership. The second time I worked with Celahir was once again as his Aedile. This time for House Galeres. Celahir once again relied on me, trusted me and generally made me work harder and harder. I thank him for it, because it enabled me to actually deal with the responsibility and be able to work under pressure. Under him, both Qel-Droma and Galeres were strengthened. Qel-Droma especially. But Irfan has done so much more for Arcona and the DB. He served as Consul for a time, as well as doing coding work. Celahir is a friend, a compatriot and an example of the selflessness that is expected from a truly great Arconan. As such, I'd like to thank him for his efforts, his dedication and his awesomeness.

Sanguinius Tsucyra Entar Quaestor of House Galeres

Ah Celahir, the man who can do it all. Honestly, I think I have seen him participate in almost every field within the Brotherhood both competitively and in terms of leading and helping out, and the thing which truly sets him apart from many of us mere mortals is his ability to do things well. He doesn't do things half-heartedly, instead throwing himself into everything that he can do. Be it competing to a high level in a wide variety of events, to offering his expertise in coding to those both within the Clan and to the Brotherhood as a whole, he has been an outstanding member whose dedication deserves a fitting reward. A nice guy in the bargain, Celahir really is an example to everyone of what the ideal member looks like; fun, willing to get stuck in and more than capable of offering help to those who need it.

Irfan, this is just a small part of the thanks that we can all give you, but I hope you realise that you have more than earned this. Congratulations my friend, keep on trucking.

-Nadrin Erinos Arconae

Most of Celahir's accomplishments came before my time, but I'd like to mention those that I had seen or been a part of. The day I joined, the Test of Lore had problems and I was getting pretty frustrated with it, so I came onto IRC for advice. I wasn't expecting much - being a former codemonkey I know these things take time, people have to be dragged online to fix problems or they don't have necessary permissions, etc. Well, to my surprise, Celahir PMd me shortly after I hopped on, and he fixed it right then and there. No waiting, no teeth pulling, no running around in circles or wading through red tape. Even though I had been frustrated nearly to the point of just giving up on the place, after talking with Celahir and watching him fix everything on the spot, I was extremely impressed with the dedication that he had and it reflected on everyone in DB. Working with him made me want to stick around and find out more and meet more people.

The stars (or the code) must have been aligned that day because I ended up in Galeres right under Celahir, my Quaestor. I quickly learned that his dedication above was merely par for the course. It was a really crazy time, just before GJWX, and everyone was getting into war-mode. School had also started for many, including Celahir. But yet he managed to make a crapton of time for me to teach me about DB and Arcona, Galeres and Soulfire. I was fairly high-maintenance, so that was no easy task. The Arcona Summit tends to help each other out with new members, tag-teaming on different subjects or just helping in general, and Cel was no exception. He was a friendly face, always willing to chat or answer questions. A year later, he still is, in fact.

During the war, Celahir was a monster of activity, not just in the events, but in motivating his members to participate and being there for them if they need help or if problems came up. Seeing this dedication in action inspired me to participate for sure. Leaders lead by example and he did this very well, and helped secure a first place win for Arcona. It was my first war in the DB, and he helped make it an excellent experience, so much so that I am still here a year later and helped Arcona rock the next one. Thank you for all you've done, Cel, you deserve this award and more. :)

~Socorra Erinos, Quaestor of House Qel-Droma

Celahir’s Sapphire Blade is long overdue. Others have already spoken about his abilities as a leader, so let me instead add some of the personal things we have worked on in the past. When I first met him as a Brotherhood member in ‘09, the Great Jedi War was in full swing. Things were tight and scary, and we all needed to do everything we could if we were going to pull it out. Irfan came to my attention first and foremost when he helped us parse some of the new rules put in place mid-War, helping us find a way to eventually create a tactic that gave us Team Gaming and with it, the War. More than his leadership, it is those flashes of brilliance that I appreciate more than anything in Irfan, and what makes him such a valuable member. In the Tenth Great Jedi war, it was Celahir who had all Star Wars books downloaded and ready on his computer, searchable on a moment’s notice in case it was necessary for the codebreaker (it was). When the prestige system was introduced, it was Celahir who helped discover much of its inner structure (including uncovering serious flaws that we managed to get fixed). He likewise was one of the people on the forefront of creating many of our promotion documents. Being a coder in addition to a general problem solver, and a nice guy to boot, Celahir has again and again proven his long term value as a member. For this, he deserves a Sapphire Blade.

One year. It has now been officially one year since Wuntila Zratian Entar Arconae ascended to Consul of Clan Arcona, and to the rank of Obelisk Exarch. In that time, Arcona has continued to prosper and uphold the title of First Clan of the Brotherhood, uncontested and with great poise and honor. Most recently, Arcona alone accounted for 41% of Novae won in the Horizons Vendetta. That level of not just activity, but excellence, all comes under the watchful eye of our Consul -the unquestioned leader and face of Arcona. At the start of the Fued, he told me to participate fully as a member of Arcona, and not to worry about my typical duties as Proconsul. In doing this, he effectively shouldered the entire weight of running Clan Arcona on his own, doing things like organizing members into participating, proof reading, and sorting issues of conflict that can arise during times of intense competition between Clouses. Not just internally for Arcona, but in making sure that any issue between an Arconan and a non-Arconan was quickly and effectively settled. It's one thing to dismiss your assistant and partner (who's job is to help make the job easier), but another thing entirely to put aside personal glory for the sake of making sure things run smoothly. Wuntila does this everyday, and sadly some of the things he does do not get seen by the every day Arconan, or the other members of the Brotherhood. He was awarded an Anteian Cross for his work in sorting out teams for the big Run-On event, making sure every single Arconan was put into a team and not left out in the rain. Even with certain members double-dealing on matchmaking by ignoring the form they signed up with, he still managed to make sure that no one was left behind. On top of that, when Week 3 had come to an end, and an emergency arose for the Combat Master, Wun volunteered himself to finish out the grading of the (5) five matches that were left. These were not quick grades, mind you, but post-by-post analysis that left the combatants with a clear and distinct understanding of the things that lead up to his final decision. Even with all of that, Wun still earned 10 Seals of his own and took home a Bronze and a Silver Nova. His work as an Operator for the ACC has been an going thing for the Consul of Arcona, not something that was limited to the Vendetta alone.

As leader outside of the Vendetta, Wuntila continues to be at the head of the reformed attitude of Clan Arcona. He works tirelessly everyday to assure that we leave behind old beliefs of insularity and encourages healthy relations with the rest of the Brotherhood. He has been integral in the creation and execution of the three major competitions that were held in the time between the last Great Jedi War, and the current Vendetta; The Arcona Family Fued (War of Three Families), Operation: Rolling Thunder, and the Trials of Loyalty. He was the primary writer of the Family Feud, and did most of the grading. He likewise featured heavily in O:RT, and helped with the grading of Trials of Loyalty. He has also been at the head of any major promotion or award given to a member of Arcona, and continues to do so. Always willing to help his members, he may not be the most warm and cuddly Consul, but there is no one else who you want in your corner when things go wrong, and there is no one better at batting down the hatches when things need to get done. He is inspirational as a leader and someone I strive every day to hopefully be able to reach his level. He takes the time out of his own schedule to make sure I'm doing things properly, teaching me how to be a better administrator and in handling the day-to-day operations of running a Clan as big and as active as Arcona.

For all your work as Consul of Arcona, and for taking on a burden that few other leaders can come close to bearing, I hereby announce Wuntila Zratian Entar Arconae as an Obelisk Primarch.

-Marick Arconae Proconsul, Clan Arcona

As Grand Master, I am responsible for ensuring the success of the entire club. I am often required to spend a lot of time assisting other leaders, giving advice, helping deal with complex issues. I haven't had to do this with Arcona, and it is largely due to the steady hand and constant activity of Wuntila. He serves as a great example to his clan, always striving for excellence, always working to better the experience of the members. He does this not for personal achievement, nor for glory, but only so that the Brotherhood is a better place. This has always been, in my eyes, the mark of a true leader in this club.

In recent months, several members have complained to me about the excessive success of Arcona. I have joked that perhaps the best way to handicap the Clan is by making Wuntila serve elsewhere. I'd never force that, but I have no doubt that he would enjoy the same success wherever he goes. He's that good.

Today, I am very happy to be able to add my voice to the number of those recommending that he be elevated to the final Equite rank, one step away from vaunted Elder status. Well earned, Sam. Thanks again for everything that you have done, and no doubt will continue to do. Let me know when you're done being Consul. I'll find a place for you.

~Muz Ashen, Dark Lord of the Sith

When I came back from yet another retirement slightly less than a year ago, I came back to Arcona with Wun Wun as Consul. At the time I didn't realize he hadn't been Consul for long; Wun already was a pillar of activity, stability, excellence and leadership in Arcona, and his drive to bring the Clan to new heights impressed me greatly. These qualities have not dwindled over time, as we see in Brotherhood leadership ever so often. Wun has led Arcona through the Horizons Vendetta, ensuring over one third of all Novae were awarded to Arconans. Aside from this, Wuntila has done a tremendous job as ACC judge, stepping in where needed and always being there to save the day. He has also helped me out a lot, by beta testing a lot of my weird coding experiments. All in all, it is safe to say that, with Wuntila at the helm, the rest of us Arconae can safely retreat to our studies or other duties, as through his leadership, Arcona will only grow and prosper more. Hence, Wuntila highly deserves a promotion to the highest level of Equite.

James L. Entar Arconae Seneschal of the Brotherhood

To Whom It May Concern,

Wuntila, Consul of Arcona, has served with a great deal of honor and ability. Over the last year since he took over as Consul he has led Arcona on a path of continuing dominance. Leading a clan is no easy feat, let alone one involving so many high ranked members that reside within Arcona. Wuntila has continued to keep his best foot forward and hasn’t slouched from the daunting challenges that accompany being Consul. Even after a year he continues to be a stellar leader and hard worker bettering Arcona, himself and the DJB as a whole for his efforts. I am most glad to recommend his promotion to EQ4. He has more than earned it. Congratulations!

Xen’Mordin Vismorsus Quaestor of Scholae Palatinae

I've worked with Wuntila for coming on 12 months now as part of his Summit and boy have those 12 months been interesting. Wun has been a massive part of my life, seeing as I spend so much time doing stuff involved with the DB. His influence on my leadership skills in real life have allowed me to excel on my course and complete projects that involve massive workloads, problem solving, dealing with difficult situations and team mates. I also have to say that Sam has had a massive impact on Arcona. The Shadow Clan has never been stronger, despite what people said about Arcona under Sashar after GJW IX. The Arcona that exists now could not do so without Wun. He brought the current Summit together, trained us, guided us. He also put the time and effort in to support me despite my difficulties, fallacies and idiocies. Wuntila is the be all and end all to me when it comes to Arcona...I could not imagine Arcona without him, nor could many others.

It is only fair to recognise Wun's achievements and effort with a promotion to the last step of the Equite tier. Well done, Sam.

Sanguinius Tsucyra Entar QUA of House Galeres

Wuntila takes his job seriously, and thereby sets the bar for the rest of his summit to do the same. He has been a driving force behind the success of Arcona in the year since it has reclanned, both individually and in his ability to encourage others to be better. He understands what it means to lead, frequently sacrificing his own personal glory and chance to participate in events to ensure that all of Arcona, and indeed the rest of the Broterhood, is improved. I doubt people really consider how much he contributes outside the clan simply by ensuring that Arcona always puts out quality work. In the past Vendetta you could see the other clouses up their game, simply to try to beat Arcona.

All that he has done, in my opinion, goes well beyond the available sacrificial medals. Only a promotion really encompasses the magnitude of service that needs to be rewarded. Well done, Garc...you make us proud.

-Scelestus

Where would Arcona be without Wuntila? It’s not easy to say, but I do not think we would be where we are today. It has been a year since he was appointed to Consul, and Arcona has only grown and improved in that time.

The work that Wun has done is obvious to even the newest members of the Brotherhood. He motivates all of us to take part whenever there is a competition, even going so far as to sacrifice his own chances at a Nova or other glory in exchange for getting Arcona’s participation figures as high as possible. For Horizons, he was around virtually 24/7, somehow managing to squeeze in some competing as he rallied each and every one of us, even volunteering to judge ACC matches when it became clear that help in that area was needed. Wuntila also spearheaded the competitions that were ‘Trial of Loyalty’, as well as the Family Feud. Both of these were multi-event ‘operations’. Wun worked tirelessly to make sure these excellent competitions were given the top-notch treatment, and both operations were big hits with Arcona.

All in, Wun, or Sam as most of us know him, has been a fantastic Consul, and has done an exemplary job of keeping Arcona at the top of the DJB’s totem pole. Enjoy this one, Sam. You earnt it. ;)

Andrelious J. Inahj Commander, Void Squadron Qel-Droma of Arcona

I don’t know where to begin with this recommendation, and I’m usually the one with a lot to say. The thing is, the contributions Wuntila has made to Clan Arcona are so enormous, and so vital to our success, that any attempt to describe them feels, somehow, inadequate. I have known Wuntila for a long time, and in that time he has grown into a strong, confident leader who understands what it takes to assume responsibility for an entire Clan. Under his watchful - and sometimes stern - gaze, Arcona has come into its own, and emerged as a cohesive and well-rounded unit.

Wun is the guide - the man who sets the tone, the standard, and the philosophy. He is the emotional and intellectual leader of not just a Clan, but a movement, and has worked hand-in-hand with other members of Arcona to revolutionize his unit. Wun’s Arcona has been at the forefront of innovation and improvement, aimed at fostering strength in the Brotherhood as a whole. There is something about Wuntila’s leadership that, in my limited experience, is uncommon. It is not unique, and it should not be - each and every member of this organization should emulate this attitude and approach, as it has been proven to be successful by Arcona’s performance in this year of his Consulate. Now that I’ve given this central tenet such a magnanimous prelude, I must apologize if it comes off as somewhat anticlimactic - Wuntila goes out of his way to befriend each of his members.

This may seem like common sense, that a leader should be friends with his members, but it is not always so. Arcona is a unit founded upon friendship, and if not for the personal connections linking its diverse population, its roster would not be filled with the long-standing members that it is. Wun works very hard at making every Arconan feel at home, striving to forge a relationship with each of us. For a battleteam leader, maybe this would be easy. But for a Consul of a Clan as large and as active as his? Hardly so. And yet, he pulls it off with aplomb, and a particular style that is his alone.

Wuntila is a confident, capable, and compassionate. He is level-headed and firm. I am fortunate to have known him well enough to say these things with complete assurance, and grateful to have served as a member of his Summit. He has been a mentor to me, as he has been to countless others. Beyond these things, I know that he deserves to bear one more title, one more accolade - that of the highest rank of the Equite tier. As long as my beloved Clan, the home of so many formerly-lost souls, remains in the hands of Wuntila Entar, Arcona will continue to grow and improve - and the other Clans and Houses will follow her lead.

I am proud to be rewarding Valhavoc with a Grand Cross of the Dark Side for his hard work and dedication to Clan Arcona. As you can see from Sang’s recc he has smashed out an impressive amount of activity since his last award, so I won’t go into too much detail. He has been an active member of House Galeres, inspiring others to continue to work hard, as well as helping members with any questions they have about gaming. As well as coming up with ideas for competitions in the future, helping keep members active inside of the House. His hard work and dedication towards the future development of Galeres is second to none, for that and for this I am proud to be recommending Valhavoc for a Grand Cross.

I would hereby like to award Legorii with a Grand Cross of the Dark Side for his contribution to Arcona’s domination in Horizons by participating in twenty four events and gaining an impressive amount of points. Legz wound up in fourth place, having placed in several events such as helping his team to first place in the wiki event and achieving third place in the ACC event. He also helped his team to fourth place in the RO, fourth place in the Battleplan event. He got first place in week two’s Alien Swarm event. Legorii also got fifth in week one’s ID scan and got second in week three’s normal fiction and fifth in the horror fiction.

Combine this impressive showing with his dedication to helping others by proofing RO and ACC posts, encouraging members to participate and simply being a fantastic Aedile who assisted me greatly during the Vendetta. Legorii is extremely deserving of a Grand Cross. Well done, Legz.

Sanguinius Tsucyra Entar Quaestor of House Galeres

…...................

I am honoured to be recommending Legorii for a Grand Cross of the Dark Side for all the hard work and effort he has put in to not only House Galeres, but Clan Arcona. He is always participating in any competition that comes up, he has done a total of twenty four competitions purely in Horizons alone. An impressive amount on his own. During all of Horizons, he was online and being a constant presence for the other members, motivating them into activity to help Arcona assume dominance over this event. At the same time, he was emailing members to remind them of Horizons and helping the Quaestor with the day to day running of the House. For all of this hard work and dedication to the Clan, I am proud to be giving Legz this Grand Cross. Keep up the hard work in the future, Legz.

Primary reason

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s Socorra. Otherwise known as Superwoman. I know, I know… what a terribly informal, unprofessional way to start a recommendation, but I feel it’s the only way I can truly put into words what everyone on the summit thinks of her without sounding as if I’m reading a eulogy at a funeral. This woman is simply sublime. Ever since she raced onto the scene just prior to the Tenth Great Jedi War, she has been a veritable bastion of activity. Not only has she brought a new meaning to the word ‘activity’, but she has shot up the rungs of the leadership ladder quicker than any member in the history of Arcona. She is one of the nicest, most down-to-earth people on the summit, and her soft touch and caring demeanour have been invaluable on the summit, and her quiet determination has driven her to success time and time again without want for reward or recognition. She only wants what’s best for the clan. That to me speaks of a future Dark Councillor, and I am honoured, privileged and humbled to have her as a member of my summit.

Her track record (which I will cover is a great amount of detail below) speaks for itself, and I honestly feel ashamed that its been left this long to award her for her stellar efforts and dedication to the clan. The following promotion recommendation has been long overdue, and I hope that the extensive narrative of her efforts that follows will go some way to exemplifying her unfaltering dedication to the Brotherhood, and demonstrate absolutely and unfalteringly her deservedness for promotion to the rank of Krath Archpriest.

Since her last promotion in April 2012, Socorra has been a stellar example of activity both as a member and, importantly, as a leader. During her time as Aedile of House Qel-Droma (between April and June 2012) Socorra hit the ground running. Thrust into leadership and left to stand on her own two feet, Socorra quickly adapted, taking control of the House when Invictus took an impromptu semi-LoA due to a new job change and real life circumstances. This left her to pick up the pieces. With the help of the upper summit and the Galerean summit she soon found her stride. She quickly delivered a number of reports in order to keep the house updated whilst Invictus was away, and set to work on reconstructing Qel-Droma. In some ways she did this fictionally. An example of that is through her supervision of Graus’ extensive Qel-Droma wiki update. However, the main point was through her being an intermediary. She was the link between the upper summit, the house summit and the membership. A link Qel-Droma did not previously have. She was visible, productive and approachable leader, and the membership warmed to her quickly. She offered her services in as many was as she could, helping members with their Wikipedia pages, proof-reading ACC posts and fictions, and guiding members with queries about the ACC Character Sheets. She popped out a number of competitions over this period (and I do believe it was at this point that Image Caption #1 began – the big hit that later swept across the Brotherhood) whilst trying to sculpt Qel-Droma into hers and Invictus’ vision.

Indeed, when Ninj went on an LoA/left the position of BTL, Socorra stepped up and carried the battleteam until they could find a replacement. She was, for all intents and purposes, a machine. She worked tirelessly to ensure the house kept ticking over. Oiling the gears was second nature to her, and she was fantastic at juggling a number of potentially catastrophic issues (need I remind you that, at this point, she was acting Quaestor, Aedile and then BTL, all whilst participating herself) with remarkable ease. At the same time she was mentoring Scelestus toward leadership, even though she had only been in the position just over a month. She was an extremely quick developer. And even that’s an understatement.

Toward the end of her tenure as Aedile, she aided Dash, Wally and I with the running of Operation: Rolling Thunder – a Clan-wide event that resulted in yet another record-breaking participation turnout by Arcona. A major reason for such a high turnout was that, whilst it was a fantastically orchestrated Operation (and I attribute that to her, Dash and Wally’s fantastic contributions to the overall development of the Operation), her efforts in drumming up activity for the event, by emailing the house daily, and by tasking the HQD Summit to email every HQD member regarding ORT, were second to none. She even went as far as to work with Shadow Gate in order to construct a Run-On so that they were able to participate. Then, when it was all over, she stepped up to the plate, helping Dash manually tally up the scores and win/loss ratios of every ORT battle in the ACC. Now, I’ve just written 500 words on her efforts as AEDILE. We haven’t even reached Quaestor yet. This exemplifies the sheer volume of achievements she has racked up since her last promotion.

Since she became Quaestor, Socorra has done a whole lot more. Along with all the standard spiel you expect from any leader (writing recommendations, attending summit meetings, running competitions, regular reports etc.), Socorra set a new standard for what is to be expected from any leader in the Brotherhood. I know for a fact that some of the Dark Council members don’t work half as hard as she does. Since stepping up to Quaestor she has gone above and beyond to help all the members of the house, as well as develop the house both fictionally, and as a unit of the Brotherhood. On the personal level, she has done a number of things to help the Arconan membership: she has aided Graus in his rewrite of Port Ol’Val for his summit task for promotion to Dark Jedi Knight, and also proofed his fiction for promotion, proofed Maaks’ Dark Sage final fiction (which was ludicrously extensive), and assisted Archer, Andrelious and even Sang with their competition proposals. And this is just a short list (the ones which were short enough to include so that I wasn’t writing another Dissertation) in order to demonstrate her willingness to go beyond her role as Quaestor in order to help Arconan members develop. Indeed, during the Vendetta, the CHL ladder, the Arcona Family Feud, Operation Rolling Thunder, along with just general proofing requests. I have it on good authority that she has, in fact, never turned down proofing someone’s ACC post. The same can even be said for (usually much longer) Run-On posts. She was an integral part of Run-On post proofing during ORT, Trials of Loyalty, the Arcona Family Feud, the Vendetta, and the numerous Voice Run-On comps that have been released. If that doesn’t demonstrate her commitment to the members of her house, Arcona and the Brotherhood, I don’t quite know what does.

Added to that, she has devoted an extraordinary amount of time to helping Scelestus, Andrelious and, previously, Cethgus in their roles as members of the Qel-Droman summit. She is phenomenal in her ability to set aside time to help the other members of the summit so the entire house runs efficiently and smoothly, all the while teaching and guiding the greener members of the summit particular aspects of leadership. Its remarkable to watch the newer members of the summit develop so quickly, and I dare say the reason for their success is because of Socorra’s exemplary guidance.

On the more general side of activity Socorra has demonstrated that she is always eager and willing to assist with any new project within the Brotherhood. She was integral in the testing of Brotherhood Galaxy Quest, along with being one of the primary testers for James with Promotheus, the now Brotherhood-wide promotion guidance system. She has assisted Archer with a number of competition proposals (which came to form the gist of the Trials of Loyalty), developed and planned an entire proposal for a possible DB RPG project in the future, written the background for an entirely TOR-based battleteam for use in the future, fine-tuned Wally’s Reboot 3.0 project, assisted James and company with the TOR automation proposal, and was on the initial team for the Cluecona project. Added to that, she has assisted Dash on a number of Wikipedia projects in the past, and even helped him track potential cloners through researching into typographical patterns, even scanning individual posts on the forum to correlate data for the MAA office. I know this is simply a list of things. But they demonstrate something quite spectacular. She has been able to assist in so much of the background project which are often overlooked within the Brotherhood, usually being one of the primary members of each of the teams, all the while juggling the responsibilities of Quaestor (which are no mean feat, especially in a clan with such high leadership expectations).

Now we get onto her personal achievements. These are of an equal level of win to that of her leadership tasks, so don’t worry. Firstly we have her ability as a master and mentor. When Invictus had to step away from leadership to attend to factors of his real life, Socorra was left with the house… and his student. Graus has since developed into an integral member of the Clan, with Socorra seeing him through to Dark Jedi Knight in almost record time. Shortly after he reached DJK, he went on to place 10th overall in Horizons. I’m pretty sure we can say with no shadow of a doubt that some of the credit goes to Socorra for aiding such an astounding member in their understanding of the Brotherhood.

Socorra is also a woman of many talents. She games as well as writing and leading one of the most badass houses in the Brotherhood. She plays D3 regularly and has been with or helped many DB members run through dungeons and Acts. She was also a member of the group that received a Pendant of Blood for being the first DB group to kill Diablo on Inferno Difficulty. Indeed, before she stopped paying for TOR, she was also very active in running Flashpoints and Warzones with DB members, receiving a number of CFs for her efforts. Since then, she’s earned 643 from playing D3 with others, all in order to help them with the game and aid struggling Brotherhood members.

And now we get to the fun stuff. The (extensive) list of medals and accolades this phenomenal woman was racked up. Go get yourself a nice beverage, sit back, and relax… this may take a while.

I think I’ll have to start with one of her proudest moments – ending 2rd in the CHL, being beaten by the eventual champion, Timeros. She also contributed to the Ambitions Run-On for several months, having been selected by the Grand Master himself to join his team, and placed first, acquiring a Diamond Crescent – no mean feat, let alone to share the victory with the Grand Muzter himself. She placed first in the “May the Fourth” competition strain run by Dash. She won 1st place on the Dark Side Jams, Cantina Tales, and Quick and Easy competitions, all of which were Brotherhood-wide events. She placed fourth overall in the Clan event Operation Rolling Thunder, having acquired three first places, along with nine other top-half entries. Similarly, she placed 10th overall in the Trials of Loyalty Clan-wide competition.

And now medals: Since her last promotion, Socorra has achieved 1 Grand Cross, 1 Dark Cross, 756 Clusters of Fire, 11 Clusters of Ice, 1 Pendant of Blood, 2 Ruby crescents, 3 Amethyst crescents, 1 Quartz crescent, 1 Diamond crescent, 2 Emerald crescents, 1 Sapphire crescent, 4 Silver Novae, and 1 Gold Novae. This list is absolutely astounding given that she is usually the one awarding the other members. It exemplifies not only her talents, but her genuine interest in participating as a member and as a leader. It is tangible evidence of her constant drive, determination and ambition to better the Brotherhood. And I couldn’t be more proud.

So, as you have seen from this extensive recommendation, Socorra is well overdue her promotion. She has been a shining light in Arcona, a true inspiration to the membership. I feel that she has more than earned Krath Archpriest, and I hope that she continues to work for the betterment of the Brotherhood.

Congratulations, Socorra.

Wuntila Arconae, Consul – Arcona.

t’s strange to think of Socorra as an Equite. I still remember the bright eyed Journeyman that I became close with during the 10th Great Jedi War. Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of watching her plow through the ranks, charging and leaping and spinning away from any obstacles that have been put in her way. Socorra is a different type of member and leader. She is a combination of multiple Archetypes, giving her a truly unique persona that is part of what makes her so likeable. It’s really rare to have someone who is just good at everything. Most of us have our specialities or preferences, but not Socks. She can do it all. Her positive attitude and work ethic run circles around even some of the most accomplished leaders I’ve worked for or with in my time in the Brotherhood. She is a true gem as part of the Summit, and honestly her activity list speaks for itself. The woman is unstoppable, and by my count has more than earned the rank of Equite 2.

Socks, from start to finish, has been an awe-inspiring member to behold. A Knight within three, a first-level just over half a year, Quaestor, ACC Judge and general badass within a year, all from nothing, with no one known within the Brotherhood and a War starting just days after she joined. Socorra dived into the Brotherhood and never looked back, somehow juggling her many, many functions as a member in a way that’s never been anything less than amazing. So, what’s left for her? Only one way for her to go, and that’s up. Socorra’s already a pillar of her Clan. One day, she’ll be a pillar of the Brotherhood as a whole. In recognition of that future and the amazing amount of work she has done from the very first day on, we should promote a member who has already achieved more than some Elders and recognize her as an Archpriestess posthaste.

Service...that is the word that comes to mind first whenever one thinks of Socorra. Excellence is a close second. She embodies both on a daily basis as she always strives to put the good of the House, Clan, and entire Brotherhood before her own personal goals. Somehow she also finds the time to participate in comps, Vendettas and other projects, again showing excellence in everything that she turns her hand to do, while never being too busy to give a kind word of encouragement where needed. I think the best way I can sum up what I am trying to say is that every time I read the qualifications for Equite promotion or medal award I think of her with every word I read. It is an honor to know her, work for her, and call her friend.

Scelestus AED, HQD.
