What can I say about Locke that I haven't before. Since my return to the DJB as an active member, Locke has been a steadfast friend. As Proconsul, he became more than leadership to me and was counted upon for daily conversation, even if his affinity for purple got in the way. That kid could use some blue in his life. He helped me better enjoy my time here, and let me see how leadership could be more than just some dude on a pedestal. For that, I can't thank him enough and I am proud to be standing alongside him on summit.

Unlike Locke, however, I am not one for long recommendations. His are superb, well structured, and extremely business-like. Honestly, I grow concerned towards his potentiol sociopathic tendencies that may be underlying there. Regardless, I will do my best to include everything here that has more than earned him this promotion.

Locke has been Summit since before I knew him, an overall tenure beginning with Aedile and culminating in his current stint as Consul. In his time as Consul, Locke has earned 14 Crescents and consistantly entered competitions. For both the Sons vs. Clan event and Horizons, Locke was at the top of the board in terms of participation. A clear example that he never asks for more from his clan than he is willing to do himself. On top of that, he created an unwinding "Festival of Renewal" event in June for the Clan proper.

Continuing with the busy schedule, Locke was onboard in the organization of the 3-way feud with HSP and PLA. That time he wasn't top participation, but I might forgive him based on the whole "unable to compete" thing he went on about. Despite all this, he has continually put out regular reports to keep the Clan informed of what's up while mentoring Waldron Ravenblade to the rank of Dark Jedi Knight.

In the past, Locke has always shown drive and passion. He assisted in organizing the Alliance of Stell with Taldryan as well as numerous tasks, both known and unknown, while acting as Proconsul. I can only truly speak to my experience with him in that time, but what I know of his activity is that Locke is responsible for devising and authoring much of the material that is relied upon by Summit on an every day basis. He was always a solid support for Macron and handled the clan proper with diplomacy and skill.

Once more I can safely say, Locke has more than earned his promotion... And I am proud to offer him my recommendation.

~ Atra Ventus, Proconsul of Naga Sadow

Since his last elevation on Oct 11, 2011 Locke Sonjie has been an excellent leader. He has in this time earned many Crescents (including a CrD and a CrR), Clusters, a Gold Nova, a Silver Nova, 2 Bronze Novae, 2 Steel Crosses, an Anteian Cross, Pendants of Blood, a seal of Loyalty, a Grand Cross, and a Scroll of Foundation. During his time with me as CNS Consul, Proconsul Locke was my right hand. There was a time when my work RL duties got increased to the point of me being unable to do DB stuff for a few weeks as I transitioned out of Consulship. Locke handled everything at that time and the transition was smooth. He was responsible for doing recs for the majority of the Clan for promotions. I'd always write one, yet Locke was the collector and submitter on many. One of his crowning achievements was taking third in the DB wide 3-man RO- while helping those on his team write. Locke did a lot of the heavy lifting as far as helping me with cleaning up the aftermath of the last GJW November a year ago. He helped greatly also with the Alliance of Steel competition with Taldryan, especially in tallying stats and wrapping things up. He helped devise- and wrote most of- the CNS Summit Duties document. He also helped develop a Clan Fictional Direction document- and wrote a lot of that as well. He also acted as a moderator between the more "assertive" Clan members and the Summit, with a calm and steady hand. Also, the military assets and awards from the last GJW were awarded and he helped develop them fictionally. We had a disruptive member or two, and with his counsel we dealt with taking them to the JST and having one expelled. He ran quite a few competitions. Since I left Consulship, he has spearheaded large inter-group events such as the Sons vs Clan feud and the 3-way event with CSP and PLA. Locke continues to serve his charges well, leading from the front with activity during Horizons and overseeing membership awarding and recognition thereof. Locke, congratulations on your probably overdue promotion!

~Macron Goura Sadow, Consul Emeritus

I have worked with Locke for a long while; I was his master until he attained the rank of Dark Jedi Knight. Then once he joined the summit as the Aedile of HSD, then become Proconsul of Naga Sadow and most recently the Consul of Naga Sadow. Each time he moved to a different position Locke showed a greater understanding of the Clan and the Brotherhood leadership as a whole. During his time as Proconsul Locke worked with Macron to help create and run a small feud between Naga Sadow and Taldryan. Even after Macron stepped down, Locke took control of the helm and pushed the Clan forward showing that he had the ability to lead this clan and push us forward. Even as Consul, Locke has tried to be as active as possible doing as many competitions as possible to show the clan that leaders do not merely sit and watch, they actively participate in everything they can.

Locke has had his hand in many of the Clans recent dealings including the small event that was held back in May, the Festival of Renewal, which was a small event that gave members a chance to participate in a series of comps that were not to taxing. He also had a hand in the Summer Invasion event that went on between CNS and two other units.

Locke has sown a dedication in Clan Naga Sadow that gets stronger over time, he is always there for members open to any and all ideas they might have in terms of competitions. I expect that Locke has more tricks up his sleeves and we will see these as the time goes forward. He has been a Priest for longer than a year and has shown that he is more than ready for the next level and a custom lightsaber. Congrats my friend, you have more than earned this, continue the good work that you do.

~ Exarch Teu

Since his last promotion, Locke has been a very busy leader of Naga Sadow. Moving from the post of Aedile to Proconsul and now Consul, Locke has done his due diligence and duty to the Clan itself far beyond the call of duty in cases to ensure the continued survival of Naga Sadow and its status within the Brotherhood. Formulating events such as the Summer Invasion to updating the Clan's fictional image and finally creating a bevy of competitions for the Clan members to participate in; Locke's vision for the Clan is vastly far-reaching while he continues to work solely for the purpose of bettering the Clan without repayment. During Horizons, Locke led by example and continued to promote a fighting spirit and desire to participate which was not lost on those in the Clan. While all the stress of trying to keep the Clan on a steady path to rival that of Arcona can bring someone down, especially a student such as Locke, he continues to keep a supportive and excited demeanor when dealing with the Clan; helping young members get into the swing of things and maintaining a strong presence on IRC. With all of this in mind and with the aid of those assembled with me, I recommend that Locke Sonjie be elevated to the rank of Archpriest.

Exarch Methyas Pepoi L'eonheart Consul Emeritus of Naga Sadow

Locke Sonjie is the sort of leader that every Clan or House in the Dark Brotherhood wants. When it comes to leading by example, in the recent Horizons Vendetta alone, he took part in an astonishing fifteen events -- scoring a Nova in two of them, and even taking to the front lines himself in the video gaming sphere, an area in which Clan Naga Sadow has historically been under represented, in which he netted three Clusters of Fire. This dedication and the example Locke sets is what the Dark Brotherhood needs more of.

In addition to his activity alone -- and his personal activity, as seen, is itself considerable and worthy of commendation -- he is also a calm, decent individual, and a great mediator, being someone easy to approach and talk to, whether one be new or old. Unlike the many who may just posture but fail to walk the walk, Locke truly demonstrates the meaning of a genuine open door policy. While these days I may no longer be privy to everything that goes on in the corridors of power, this has in fact given me the ability to gain a better sense for what the ordinary member feels, and under Locke's leadership I have definitely noticed an end to the days when squabbles behind closed doors were broadcast for all eyes to see. Indeed, if anything, I have seen a Clan that has pulled together, and Clan Naga Sadow can only have become stronger for it.

All things considered, Locke is the person that Clan Naga Sadow needs right now, and for these reasons I extend my support to this recommendation and offer my congratulations.

Activity since last merit (DC 3 may 2011) Seal of Return x5 Cluster of Fire x219

Seal of Decimation x4 Crescent-Ruby Star x2 Crescent-Emerald Star Crescent-Amethyst Star Crescent-Sapphire Star x2 Crescent-Quartz Star Crescent-Topaz Star Silver Nova Cluster of Ice

Tirano is one of the few people who is constantly flooding my inbox with CoF requests. Since his last Merit award on the 3rd of May 2011, he managed to acquire over 200 clusters by playing several games. Adding to that are several well earned crescents, nova’s and awards awarded for getting high places in competitions and events like Horizons, Dozen of Games and FIST organized comps. These include a five Seals of Return, 219 Clusters of Fire, Four Seals of Decimation, two Crescents with Ruby Star, two Crescents with Sapphire Star, a Crescent with Emerald Star, a Crescent with Amethyst Star, a Crescent with Topaz Star, a Crescent with Quartz Star, a Cluster of Ice and a Silver Nova.

While we are talking about events, there is a large list of event related competitions that Tirano has participated in. To start with, he competed in three FIST organized comps, having to do with Gaming and Fiction: [FIST] Beat up the Fist; [FIST] Beat up the Fist’s Magistrate: Dante; [FIST] Halo: Reach Firefight; [FIST] Curbstomp the Gamers 3; [FIST] Jedi Knight Ladder #6.

Continuing on, we have Horizons just behind us, and Tirano has done a good amount in that too. He sent in a Poetry entry, wrote several posts in the Run- on, and even played Left 4 Dead for one of the gaming related competitions: [Horizon] Poetry (The Force); [Horizon] Run-On (The Rising of the Tide); [Horizon] Gaming (L4D).

Ending with some other competitions that I think should be mentioned, Tirano has competed with several other DB members, including myself, to get high scores in the Dozen of Games Competition. He also participated in the Ad Infinitum event a while back for wich he played several games: Dozen of Games - Spring 2012; Dozen of Games Round 11; Dozen of Games - Final Round; [Operation Ad Infinitum] Gaming.

Tirano has been an inspiration to me and most members of Void Squadron, helping them achieve the maximum possible and upping the teams general performance. I am glad to be awarding Tirano this token of major activity and I hope to see the same kind of performance in future events.

Snabbie Flight Leader of Battleteam Void Squadron

…...............................

I am honoured to be recommending Tirano for this Merit Medal. He is a hard working individual who always strives to try and participate in as many events as possible whenever they come out. He is constantly participating in gaming as well earning himself Novae in that during Horizons. He always tried to make sure he entered anything going, and gives it his best, Tirano inspires members around him. During his time in Void Squadron, I have had my inbox flooded with Clusters of Fire, as well as crescents, I believe that Tirano is deserving of this Anteian Cross for all of his hard work for Clan Arcona. Thank you for your contribution man.

Kratus has been majorly active during the last 3 events. He participated in Horizons by doing Gaming, ACC, Fiction and the ID-scan, and got good results on those. Before Horizons he has done several competitions organized as part of Trials of Loyalty, doing Poetry and Graphics. And even before that, on Operation Rolling Thunder, he did a lot of writing, including Short fiction, RO and ACB. And now I have just named the last few of his recent activities. Kratus has been a driving force in Void Squadron, setting the height of where the bar of general activity is hung, giving a clear target for other members.

Continuing on, Kratus has been on IRC for most of the time, being there more often than not. He has also done some really helpful things, such as tracking down what competitions members participated in, and formatting that info clearly to be used. He also has been good company in the Hangout while doing these tasks, often lending a hand to help me and Cethgus monitor member activity levels, and prepare the data for using in the recommendations. Other than that, Kratus has done several games mostly though in the form of Halo Reach, in which he continues to interact with members from other clans and houses on a regular basis , earning him some Clusters of Fire along the way.

Overall Kratus has done really well, doing all kinds of things ranging from competitions of every kind, to helping the Summit out with some small tasks. I would like to thank Kratus for this awesome work, and great activity, and constant presence by awarding him with an Anteian Cross. Congratulations

Gentlemen and Ladies,

Solus Gar isn't your normal member.

He's controversial. He's a lightening rod. He attracts controversy like a lantern attracts moths. The reason he does this? He's skilled, talented, focused, driven, and he's not quiet about it. He's loud, he's logical, and he's experienced enough to make sense. And he gets frustrated about being ignored. That said, when Solus is listened to, he gives like there's no tomorrow.

Since before he came to Plagueis, Solus has been invaluable. He more or less single handedly re-designed the Plagueis Fleet Reset to within a half point. He earned the respect of the Deputy Grand Master in helping to point out places where the Fleet sheet needed work, and proceeded to upgrade the sheet in cooperation with the DGM.

He successfully helmed the first Brotherhood Debate event, testing the format and refining it for further use.

During the Summer Invasion Feud, (Also known as the Orian Incursion), Solus earned Two Diamond Crescents, Two Amethyst Crescents, and Third Place Overall. He earned a Dark Cross for his efforts, and was the leading performer from Plagueis.

After joining Plagueis, Solus personally recruited three additional members, one of whom he personally raised to Dark Jedi Knight in 47 days.

He is First Hero of the Brotherhood Vendetta: Horizons. He personally earned Ten of Plagueis' Novae.

He participated in 26 of 29 possible events, his apprentice participated in 20 of 29.

Solus has mentored countless other members beyond his own apprentices, has assisted in multiple additional projects in proofing, concept, overall design, and is only not on the Summit because he doesn't want to be.

His dedication to the Shadow Academy, to turning around exams inside forty eight hours, picking up the slack of professors who fail to grade on time, and just general all around effectiveness cannot be overstated.

His performance is stellar. It's Excessive. It sets the bar for prolonged contributions to Plagueis, and to the Brotherhood.

He deserves to be recognized for this with a Sacramental Award.

I ask that you recognize his performance, dedication, excellence, and continued assistance with an Amethyst Kukri.

~Tra'an Reith, Quaestor of House Plagueis

I haven't known Solus for very long, at least not personally. It's only been in the past few months that I've been able to interact with him and understand that he is a friendly, helpful, qualified, and unnaturally active member of our Club. And to boot, he keeps a very humble demeanor--taking satisfaction in a job well done, even if it's not a job well recognized.

I admire this guy. He's always one step away from the decisions, putting in amazing activity that wins awards in graphics, writing, and gaming and still coming back to assist the DC and his House's summit.

Well done, Slags. Enjoy a few more letters on your alphabet-soup ID line!

~Eiko, Rollmaster of House Plagueis

I give my complete support to this recommendation Both leading up to and during Horizons, Solus was an invaluable resource to me. He both made sure I adequately prepared for the event and helped guide me through it. As a result I achieved results that I don't think I would have garnered otherwise without his advice, counsel, and occasional "aggressive encouragement". I have also been impressed with his desire to help others as well during events like the Run-On and all in all has been one of the better mentors I've encountered over many years.

~Arden Karn, member of House Plagueis and apprentice to Solus Gar

Solus and I haven't know each other personally very long, but during the Vendetta, specifically the run-on, I came to know him very well. Solus has a dedication to House Plagueis and the DB at large that I haven't seen in very long time. He played a very significant role in the development of our Run-On by helping guide the newer members and played a significant mentor role to them. I was impressed with the way he handled every situation and I would be very surprised if the Run-On had run as smoothly without him there.

His dedication to developing the newer members of the Plagueis and the Brotherhood is shown in his equally impressive dedication to the Shadow Academy. This combination of activity, mentor-ship, and leadership more than prove that he is extremely worthy of this sacramental award.

Congratulations Slags, this is well deserved. Continue to be a beacon of activity and guidance in our Brotherhood.

~ Alaris Jinn di Plagia of House Plagueis

I've known Solus Gar for many years, both in the Dark Brotherhood and outside of it, and I'm always astounded by not only his level of personal drive, but also his level of dedication to those around him. In my time being active, I've seen many examples of him using his skills and knowledge of both Star Wars and the Dark Brotherhood to bring out the best in everyone and I feel he really deserves this award.

I've always known him as someone that will not give anything less than 100% of himself and will do whatever it takes to help others do the same.

~Graus Colvin of Clan Arcona

For as long as I have known Solus Gar he has been a force in the Brotherhood. A man with multiple talents, he has the unique ability to be involved in both major aspects of the club--administration and participation in the fictional/fun environment. This is a rare gift as often a member leans towards one side or the other. Solus not only does both but does them very well. This is evident in the can of whoop ass he opened in the Vendetta and in his tireless pursuit of improving the Shadow Academy. He has written new courses, and spearheaded the debate event which I think will be a great boon for the SA and the DB in the future. He is a bastion of activity, a paragon of leadership, and an example we should all strive for. I am proud to be able to help him be recognized for his many contributions.

~Scelestus, Magistrate to the Headmaster and Aedile of House Qel-Droma of Clan Arcona

Four months ago, Solus Gar received a well-deserved promotion to Sith Battlelord after an immense amount of work for the Shadow Academy and for Arcona. The reason why I now ask that he be awarded an Amethyst Kukri? Because he proved to me after his promotion that he was only just getting started.

It's typical, really, for members to slow down after a hard-fought award or promotion. But not Slags. Not my Praetor. It began with the little things. Dozens of Clusters of Fire, crescents, scrolls. Then before I knew it, he was in Plagueis, assisting with the brainstorming of the Summer Invasion, the three-unit feud among Naga Sadow, Scholae Palatinae, and Plagueis. Not only did he take third place overall in the feud (earning a Dark Cross for that), but he also gave enormous insight to the Plagueis summit for plot, schedule, and story in terms of the event. He was creative, stubborn, and resilient, never giving up even if his initial vision had been changed.

Throughout even the feud, Slags was working with me to continually expand and improve upon the Shadow Academy's repertoire of courses. He helped me begin an all-out audit by hiring Scelestus as our Magistrate and working alongside him to edit and modify various exams. He suggested the idea that we overhaul the General History department in order to make it more accessible to members who desire to use Star Wars history to better develop their Brotherhood characters. He started brainstorming the design and aesthetics of the Shadow Academy itself and how it would look and function in fiction. He consistently jumped in to grade exams when Professors had failed to meet the 72-hour turnaround time requirement. He had proven to me that he was never happy with the status quo, that he was always willing to question and use skepticism to our advantage to make the Academy better and stronger.

I didn't think he could top his work as Praetor and mentor to so many people. But then again, Horizons hadn't even started yet.

Slagar's success in Horizons wasn't simply based on his participation. True, he earned ten Novae, which sealed him the title of First Hero. True, he participated in 26 out of 29 events. True, he was pretty much a goddamn warhorse in terms of his contributions to the competition individually. But what the medals don't tell you is how much he really worked to make everyone else around him succeed just as much. Arden Karn, having been recruited to the Brotherhood by Slags himself and subsequently becoming his apprentice, proved to be a brilliant new addition to Plagueis by participating in 20 out of 29 events and becoming Eighth Hero of Horizons. He couldn't have done that without Slags' constant pushing, encouragement, and even criticism, something that is a little difficult to swallow especially for some new members. Being from an entirely different unit, Graus Colvin of Arcona worked with Slags and myself in the run-on and with Slags in the co-op fiction. The co-op received silver and the run-on received gold, helping Graus achieve Tenth Hero. Slagar feverishly worked to put together the gold-winning wiki team - also consisting of myself, Legorii Kryotek Entar, Socorra Erinos, and Tra'an Reith - endlessly reminding us of what to do for the article and how to do it well. I could go on and on and on about how Slags became a beacon of creativity, determination, and perseverance for our run-on team, which ultimately compiled a story over 40,000 words long and at a whopping 40 posts, none of them being the bare minimum requirement of text. We could not have done so much without Slags serving as the captain of our little ship, giving direction to the narrative and flooding us with new ideas as well as helping to edit posts and give feedback to members still struggling with the run-on formula.

Solus Gar does not have to be Headmaster to be a true mentor. He does not have to be Quaestor or Consul to be a true leader. The amount of teaching that Slags has committed to is phenomenal. The description of the Amethyst Kukri claims that the award is granted when the recipient has greatly furthered one aspect of the Brotherhood. If that's the case, then I wish I could give him two Kukris: one for the Shadow Academy and one for Plagueis. But seeing as I can't exactly give him two shinies simultaneously, I'm happy to give him at least one because he deserves it.

Thank you, Slags.
