It often happens that members must weigh their love for our Club and their duties in the realm we call Real Life. Such was the destiny of one Revak Kur, who was last promoted a long time ago, in the year 2015.

It is also a great tradition, often repeated by many members, to suddenly burst out of their Real Life stupor and become a hurricane of activity. So too did it happen with Revak Kur after he returned and became far more active. I would herein like to present Revak’s many achievements, all of which are directly related to his work for Clan Odan-Urr.

Revak has been a key member of the Clan Summit for since his promotion to Quaestor last year. He has been a major influence in reinvigorating COU’s membership through his work in House Sunrider, a House that required a strong leader with a vision to make it work well. Revak’s initiative to put together a team and develop a story for the House through a proposal document with 12 months of proposed development, and up to 20 months of ideas to pull from, has given the Summit much needed perspective into his plans and it continues to drive the House forward. Moreover, he is already cultivating and growing a strong base for the future, providing a steady stream of competitions for his members to partake in since he took the position.

As a leader in COU, Revak has been in office for a period of 9 months. A constant presence for Sunrider, he has cultivated a team not only on his house summit but inside his house as well. You can often find him on telegram spending a spare hour or so to talk with his members, resolve any issues that come up, and joke around. This is time well spent as it fosters a community that is willing to share with others, whether it be competition participation or friendly smack talk. He has also posted regularly on the News page, with 15 leader reports and news items, as well as 17,812 words of fiction, written over 9 documents or activities.

Of his more general activities, it’s worth mentioning the 36 organized and co-organized competitions he has ran as either Quaestor, Aedile or as a regular member. He has participated in over 100 competitions and earned 107 Crescents and Clusters for his efforts. He has earned 2 Steel crosses, 1 Anteian cross and one Dark cross in the service of COUas well as a Scroll of the Master, Seal of Loyalty, and 17 Seals for Vendetta competitions. He has done 22 Courses and 3 degrees in the Shadow Academy.

For his work for Clan Odan-Urr, and his dedication to improve our little part of the Club, I recommend Revak Kur for promotion. Congratulations!

Additional reasons

It is my pleasure to add to this recc. In particular, I’d like to touch on his activities towards the clan. First, Revak has been of great help in our community events. So far he has hosted 5 gaming community events. This involved spending a considerable portion of his Saturday afternoons running community events. The average attendance was 3-5 members per event and focused on the hard problem of getting together gamers. He showed a tenacity to engage and hold other members’ attention and foster a friendly environment where every clanmate and non-clanmate was welcome. This includes day of setup, the actual hosted event, drumming up participants, and blasting out reminders for community events. Second, Revak helped as a second grader for a Scimitar of Hoth competition that was before his term as Quaestor. This required 3 hours of his time but it was very helpful and ensured nothing was missed. Third, he helped further Odan-Urr’s lore-keeping, executing on wiki updates to include 1 major update for 416 words to page ‘Strike Team Ooroo’, 3 minor updates to clan pages (House Hoth, Strike-team Ooroo), and the creation of 1 wiki page (Vatali Unsettled) using existing material from House comps. Fourth, he helped me rework my presentation on clan positions, which involved 2-3 hours and reworking the presentation of several slides from complex to something much simpler. This ensured that my fellow clanmates easily understood my intentions and the help was very much appreciated.

In addition, there were several smaller things that I’d like to acknowledge. First, he was my co-conspirator for a fiction for one of our newer members, even helping me write part of it. Second, he helped set up our trello boards for both house and clan, helping to increase our organization. Third, he is a constant presence for Sunrider whether it be as a leader or an active member, serving as both a good role model and a good friend.

Thank you for everything you’ve put into the clan. You’ve been a big part of sunrider’s progress and we’ve made some good stories along the way. Here is to many more but for now I give you this token of my appreciation and recommend that Revak Kur be promoted to Equite 3!

Primary reason

Khryso Mallus is undoubtedly one of the more active members of Clan Plagueis, he is one of a few members I can rely on to submit entries during events. No matter the scale of the event Khryso is submitting away, determined to be one of the best.

This is best reflected when it comes to comparing how many competitions he’s entered and how frequently he takes away a crescent or nova. In total, out of 120 competitions, Khryso has earned a competition award in a staggering 69 of them, 68 crescents and a gold nova. That is well above a 50% entry to award conversion rate and shows a high level of quality on a consistent basis that encapsulates his tremendous work rate. Another demonstration of this can be seen in the fact that Khryso has taken part in every event, clan or club-wide since his last promotion. This starts with GJW XIII: Discord, his contributions to which earned him 13 Seals of Discord and contributed to his Anteian Cross. The list doesn’t stop there, it also includes Plagueis’ Plagueian Playground, Code: Dread, the DC run Celebration: Mandalorians, House Tyranus’ Tyranus: Grand Opening, the club-wide The Nightmare Before Sithmas Returns and the SA hosted Shadow Feast. That equates to an event every month since his last promotion, showing yet again his remarkable consistency.

The transition between Journeyman and Equite ranks is often where members start making the transition from being pure consumers of user-generated content to producers. I’m happy to say Khryso Mallus is well on his way, taking advantage of the opportunity of the clan not running an event in November by running his own. Not only was it an event, but it wove in elements of Plagueian lore and every event was suitably themed around the concept. With this being The First Plaguiean-Valneikian Festival I’m looking forward to future instalments and any other competitions I’m sure he will run in the future.

Now within the Brotherhood, some members may be considered specialists, focusing on one aspect of the club above all others, this is not something that can be said about Khryso Mallus. However, far from being a criticism of the man, it speaks to his willingness to participate, taking part in a variety of disciplines in a variety of forms. Khryso is one of the foremost members of the club’s Battlefront 2 (2017) community, regularly putting out invitations for other players to join him for which he has earned 438 Clusters of Earth and 6 Pendants of Blood. He’s also expanded into PvP gaming and picked up clusters there. He’s also one of the better writers I’ve had the privilege of reading not just in Plagueis, but in the club as a whole. His creative contributions have earned him 30 Clusters of Ice. Khryso has a mind for storytelling but is also willing to take on lore projects and wiki work. For examples of his creative work, one can look at the Fort Dooku wiki page, which is a minimally adjusted write up of Khryso’s proposal for a headquarters for the then newly-founded House Tyranus. Not content until he’s touched every aspect of the club, Khryso has continued his illustrious SA career and is rising the ranks in the Shroud Syndicate.

While Khryso is also an exceptional member of the clan’s community and I could go on forever singing his praises in that regard, I feel that the primary recommendation should largely focus on a person’s objective merits for why they deserve what is being recommended so I’ll stick to that. I’m sure you’ll agree that Khryso Mallus has earned ascension into the ranks of the Equites based on the evidence presented.

Scudi Ferria, Quaestor of House Tyranus.

Knight Appius Wight is one of the most promising and energetic members the Dark Brotherhood has had in a long time. His enthusiasm for our Club is shown daily in his interactions with other members, his participation in a multitude of activities, and his desire to make Vizsla a better Clan.

The loose and general guidelines for promotion into the Equites is that a Knight sustains 2-4 months of activity. Appius has not only sustained activity, but he has exceeded all of our expectations. This activity includes participation in 36 competitions, 11 PVE activitys, 51,000 words of fiction, 9 passed Shadow Academy exams, 2 Degrees earned, 1 Gold Nova earned, 1 Bronze Nova earned, 2 Crescents with Diamond Star, 2 Crescents with Ruby Star, 6 Crescents with Amethyst Star, 5 Pendant's of Blood, 119 Clusters of Ice, 26 Clusters of Graphite, and 17 Seals of Discord. Appius has also begun to engage and experiment in the ACC with 2 matches finished putting him in the 01% of DJB members who have played the ACC this year.

As a leader, Appius has served as the inaugural BTL of Deathwatch. In this role, Appius has organized 9 competitions, done extensive wiki work on the Wren, Vizsla, and Deathwatch articles, and has taken on an apprentice (who is also excelling).

Appius has performed above and beyond our expectations for any member, let alone one who is still considered relatively new. Congrats on your promotion. We look forward to seeing many more.

Additional reasons

Appius was the crux to getting both the House and BT Wikis built and posted. His fictional work within the clan, especially the House and BT, has been beyond what we imagined when we brought him on as the BTL of Deathwatch. He keeps us on our toes with new and evolving peojects, and is always looking to better the clan in some way. It goes without saying that he is a very hard working individual, and I expect great things from him going forward. Congrats on your promotion!
