This day will be long remembered and celebrated in the Saga Drinking Halls!
It's a great honour to make this recommendation today, and also a rare treat, as we don't see many promotions to Elder. Nonetheless, since his last promotion over four years ago, KAnal has reached the required 85,000 XP to reach the rank of Elder 1. And we in Vizsla are glad we get to celebrate that fact today.
Kanal has done this through 198 organized competitions, 6 co-organized competitions, 284 participated competitions, 138 gaming activites, 22 fiction activities with 13 of those being regular fiction activities with 8698 words, while an additional 9 RP activities with 3188 words. Kanal has also completed 1 Shadow Academy course, 2 SA degrees and he's also completed 11 society rank-ups: 1 Shroud, 5 ACC (participant) and 5 Envoy corps (participant).
However, it hasn't just been his participation that has earned Kanal this honour. He has earned 2 Amethyst Kukri, 2 Sapphire Blades, 1 Grand Cross, 2 Steel Crosses - all from his activity to the clan and our community. He's also been awarded 1 bronze nova, 2 Cr-D, 4 Cr-R, 7 Cr-A, 10 Cr-S, 15 Cr-E, 5 Cr-T, and 4 Cr-Q. Additionally, Kanal has earned 1211 clusters of fire, 29 clusters of ice, and 29 clusters of graphite, 1 Dark Side Scroll, 2 Seals of loyalty, 16 seals of ascension, and 14 seals of transcendence.
It is a delight to see that this promotion is bestowed upon someone who has shown their dedication and focus on furthering our community with their dedicated participation. Kanal has more than earned this recognition so I’m proud to recommend he be raised to Elder 1. Congrats and well deserved!

Today I get the great pleasure of taking on one of the most rewarding tasks of being Proconsul. Serill'Tull has earned the necessary XP for her first major award since becoming a member of the Brotherhood. We love being able to award her for her efforts. She has taken part in 6 gaming activities, 4 competitions, has earned 16 Clusters of Fire, and ranked up in the Grand Master's Royal Guard.
We'd love to see her around and active even more often, but it is with great pleasure that we recommend her for her very first Dark Cross! Congratulations Serill'Tull! It's an incredible pleasure to make this recommendation today. Vizsla is home to a variety of notable members, some are former councillors while others are activity superstars, yet a complete list of notable Vizsla would be lacking without Kanal’s name.
Since last being awarded 2 years ago, Kanal has organized 91 competitions - a large chuck through his duties as Quizmaster for the club. In addition to this, he has participated in another 127 competitions. This has earned him 1 bronze nova and 15 Crescents (4 Ruby, 1 Amethyst, 2 Sapphire, 6 Emerald, 1 Topaz, & 1 Quartz). Additionally he has earned 950 Clusters of Fire, 1 Cluster of Ice, 4 Clusters of Graphite, 1 Dark Side Scroll, and 2 Seal of Loyalty. Kanal has completed 91 gaming activities and 3 fiction activities while writing 405 words. He's completed 1 course and 1 degree in the Shadow Academy. Kanal has also achieved 1 society rank-ups as an ACC participant. This level of activity has obtained 693600 credits for Vizsla while Kanal has achieved 25495 MXP through these activities.
Yet, Kanal has also contributed significantly to Vizsla and has earned an additional 454 non-site MXP needed for a Ruby Scepter (25,949). To start, Kanal has been a consistent and welcoming presence in the Vizsla channels, especially warchat, on Discord. Always present and always willing to interact with others while encouraging conversations about star wars, our supported games and providing guidance to new folks in our community. This was further experienced during the Pro Bowl event in the fall, where Kanal served as Rotworm Captain and fulfilled his duties by assisting with the draft, hyping the event in our clan and Rotworm channels, while also assisting others with advice on the events. Frankly, I see this as one of Kanal’s great features - he is a discord champion, starting or continuing conversations, helping or welcoming others, and stepping up to help hype events for the clan. He further this by championing the trivia channel as tribune, creating interesting and engaging trivia events that will be missed now that he has resigned. Finally, Kanal has been a willing participant in our clan’s gaming social nights and has often been the rallying cry for starting up support in games like Battlefront 2. For these contributions, Kanal has the clan's thanks and we wish to recognize those contributions through today's Ruby Scepter.
