Wrathus, formerly known as Solas Night-Thorn at the time of his move to Plagueis from Tarentum, has settled immediately into our Clan and has shown that he is willing to be a positive member of the group, regardless of the unfortunate circumstances that brought him our way. Wrathus has spent the time since his last promotion in September of 2016 continuing to better the Brotherhood as a whole through both individual activity as well as leadership work at both the Clan and Brotherhood level through his work as a Battleteam Leader and Magistrate.

On a personal level, since his last promotion Wrathus has participated in 47 competitions total competitions while earning 1 Crescent with Ruby Star, 5 Crescents with Sapphire Star, 2 Crescents with Emerald Star, and 1 Crescent with Topaz Star. Of those competitions, seven of them were during the recent Great Jedi War and granted him 7 Seals of Wrath. Immediately upon his arrival in Plagueis, he also participated in 12 of the 18 total competitions during our recent Vacation on Dagobah event, instantly showing that he brings the same dedication and activity to his new Clan that he demonstrated in his old one. In the realm of fiction he has amassed 10 Clusters of Ice for 3 fiction activities, 1 ACC post, and 1,575 words across 3 run on posts. As befits a former Herald staffer, he has also earned 3 Clusters of Graphite for his graphic work. He also has continued his education in the form of his 7 completed Shadow Academy courses.

Not one to stop at mere individual work, Wrathus has also worked to make the wider Brotherhood better for his presence in it. First, as a mentor he earned a Seal of the Master for guiding Blackhawk to the rank of Knight. In Tarentum, he served as a Battleteam Leader for 11 months. In that time he focused his efforts on his subordinates, both helping to direct them through their time in the Brotherhood while also organizing and running 8 competitions for the members of his team. Additionally, his efforts as a leader and his activity saw him awarded an Anteian Cross. He also completed the final 4 months of his tenure as a Magistrate to the Herald.

Wrathus has continually shown himself to be a positive and active presence in the Brotherhood, both in Tarentum and Plagueis. It is for these efforts I believe Wrathus worthy of elevation to Equite 2. May this be the first of many triumphs to come as a member of Plagueis.

Additional reasons

As Herald I've had the pleasure of working with some admirable artist. People who inspire with their work and engagement. Wrathus (aka Solas) is one of those artists. As Magistrate he has done stellar work and contributed greatly to the club's graphics, for which he has already received a Grand Cross. Suffice it to say that I hold Wrathus is great regard, both as a colleague and as a fellow artist. I believe the other recommendations covered his other merits so I'll just finish by saying: congratulations, Wrathus. This promotion is well deserved.

  • Vyr (Morgan)
  • Herald of the Brotherhood

Boss Morgan B. Sorenn, 2018-02-11 12:59:14 UTC

Looking back at the efforts that Solas made in Tarentum, I think the single word that could best describe him is "recruitment." Solas made an exceptional drive to recruit others around him from school both into the Brotherhood, and into Tarentum. He was motivated to spread the word about our fine Club, and draw people into the good times that can be had here.

Throughout my time in leadership in the last tenure of Tarentum, Solas was an active voice in trying to motivate us to be better. His greatest motivation was in the Herald's office, and with his efforts there, there also might have been an opportunity to draw the Clan of Death closer to both Vyr as a character, as well as to the Herald's office in general. Obviously, these things didn't come to fruition, but the desire was there.

Solas wants to be the best. I am excited to see him in Plagueis, where I truly believe they will push him to greater heights, and will bring out the best in him, and press him to new heights in the Brotherhood. It was fun to see him learn and grow as a Team leader, and I wish him all the best. I believe that, with time, Solas has the potential to reach new heights, and climb the ladder of leadership once again.

One of the former Tarentum members to make their way over to Plagueis, Thanadd has proved a welcome addition to our community. In the time since his last promotion, Thanadd has worked both as a dedicated member, participating in activity, and as a leader and ACC judge providing activity.

In total since his last promotion on the front of individual activity, Thanadd has organised 5 competitions, participated in 48. His participation during the Great Jedi War did his former clan good service, awarding him 6 Seals of Wrath. His overall placements in competitions have netted him 2 Crescents with Ruby Star, 2 Crescents with Amethyst Star, 9 Crescent with Sapphire Star, 2 Crescent with Emerald Star, 2 Crescents with Topaz Star and a Scholar of the Legion. Additionally, he has passed three Shadow Academy courses and gained 2 degrees from his efforts as well as graded an exam. On the gaming front he has acquired 7 Pendants of Blood and 12 Clusters of Fire from 4 PvO activities. For his writing efforts he has earned 11 Clusters of Ice from 1 ACC Battle, 3 Run On posts, and 5 other fiction activities. In addition to all that, he has earned 3 Scrolls of Foundation and 1 Seal of Loyalty.

In the area of leadership, his work was well documented by his former Consul Sith Bloodfyre. In Tarentum, Thanadd served as a Battleteam Leader for 2 months, an Aedile for 3 months, and Quaestor of House Mortis for 5 months. He served as an integral part of Tarentum's leadership structure for ten months. He was actively involved in the Clan's Sunday leadership training meeting held on Telegram and served to mentor newer members into the ACC, bridging his work as an ACC Judge with that of House summit member. He posted three reports to put information into the hands of his members in addition to keeping a visible presence on Telegram for them as well. His work as a leader was documented in the Steel Cross recommendation he was awarded in December, showing him to be an active and contributing member of Tarentum's summit.

Thanadd Mawgath has spent the time since his last elevation in March of 2017 being an active member of the Brotherhood as well as being a dedicated leader. His efforts to this point show him to be ready for advancement, taking the last step to his elevation to Equite 2.

Master Selika Roh di Plagia, 2018-02-10 20:28:37 UTC
Additional reasons

Thanadd Mawgath was something of a hail mary pass for the ACC. He was a member without a bevy of experience like others but he had enthusiasm, drive, and a willingness to improve. It was those very traits that became so infectious for both members and staff. As a judge, Thanadd completed a signle graded ACC exam and he judged 6 matches total, this was during a time when judgements were so detailed in the comments that it could take anywhere from 2-3 hours to complete a single judgement as an experienced judge. However, he never shied away from them. Thanadd's excitement bled through in his style and the members responded, coming straight to me to share how much they enjoyed his feedback and style.

That's a rare thing to have in the ACC, and just shows how his effort bled through in the best of ways. I was, and still am, grateful for the personality and willingness to dive in that he brought to the team, and I look forward to seeing that again as he shares it to those around him in his clan and his efforts.

Atra Ventus
Combat Master of the Brotherhood

Darth Renatus, 2018-02-07 11:27:29 UTC

Throughout two decades in the Brotherhood, there are those rare people that I don't generally lose contact with. Or, in the case of Thanadd, I lose contact with them, only to reignite a burgeoning friendship as though there was no gap. I was fortunate as a Consul to gain an adept member and capable leader such as he. Thanadd had already spent a great deal of time in both the Brotherhood and Tarentum when he returned, so he immediately went to work. That was incredible to see.

Thanadd stood as an example, to myself, to all of us. He was dedicated to write, motivate to succeed, and wanted to achieve greatness. He saw an avenue in the ACC, and it was my intention that, had Tarentum survived, I'd have put together a small team of ACC "coaches" to guide the formation and activity of a specific ACC team to get Tarentum back into the swing of things. Thanadd took to this task with eagerness. Thanadd takes to any task with eagerness, enthusiasm and excitement.

He is often said to be "emotional," but I believe a better term would be "passionate." There is a fire that burns deep within him, and makes him want to push others to be as active and giving within this Club as we all can be. With his level of energy, and Tahiri's youthful enthusiasm, I was excited to see what the capability of Mortis would have been. And now, with the two of them in Plagueis, I believe the talent and wisdom of the Plagia and the amazing membership of that Clan will push the two of them to greater heights.

Thanadd is motivated. He is exceptional. He is energetic. He knows how amazing the Brotherhood has been for each of us, and he shares that passion and drive with all of those around him. I am excited for him to be in such a good place as Plagueis, and I am grateful for that Clan's drive, and Slagar's dedication, in seeing him promoted.

Maximus's frenetic activity and zeal for building uphis house and clan have been apparent on a daily basis. First, his activity. Since his last promotion, Maximus has participated in 142 competitions, including 20 in GJW XII. In the process, he's taken home 3 Gold Novae, a Silver Nova, a Bronze Nova, and 32 crescents ranging from topaz up to diamond. Primarily a gamer, Max has earned himself 9 Pendants of Blood, 55 Clusters of Earth, and a massive haul of 1024 Clusters of Fire. A prolific student, Max has passed 31 Shadow Academy courses and earned 11 degrees, including Dark Sages in Warfare and History and Lore. As a writer, Max has be awarded 35 Clusters of Ice. Most impressively, Max seemed to come out of nowhere as an artist, earning 22 Clusters of Graphic, winning novae in the Great Jedi War, and contributing artwork that was used for the Jedi Praxeum wiki article and the Velastari Temple ACC venue.

In addition to being one of our most active members, Maximus has likewise been a highly engaged leader. He's organized 45 competitions and lived up to his reputation as a recruiter, earning his sixth Scroll of Indoctrination for recruiting Zeline Nemesis. Additionally, he's earned 3 Scrolls of the Master for mentoring Zeline, Sia Thiano, and long-time JM Gellm'arco'nuruodo to the rank of Knight.

Max has been on the summit of House Satele Shan for six months now, first as a particularly active Aedile and subsequently as Quaestor. In that time, he's contributed to a massive amount of wiki work for both the house and the clan at large. As Aedile, he was instrumental in getting the Last Voyage of the Kesaret event off the ground. Max led the push to open another battleteam for the house, and he and BTL Mauro Wynter have made Tython Squadron the most successful team I've ever had the good fortune to see. And in that rarest of achievements, Max has released AED/QUA reports every month like clockwork. He's also been an eager and active participant in house- and clan-level planning and policy discussions.

In his time as EQ3, Max has been recognized with a Dark Cross, 2 Anteian Crosses, and a Sapphire Blade. Now it's time for him to move forward into the next chapter of his DB career.

Alethia Archenksova
Consul, Odan-Urr

Headmistress Alethia Archenksova, 2018-02-10 01:27:51 UTC
Additional reasons

Maximus Alvinius. Let us begin with the metrics. He organized 44 competitions and co-organized 1. His participation was stellar at 142 competitions. In terms of gaming he achieved 133 PVP matches and 50 PVE matches. Fiction wise, he wrote over 17,000 words and another 990 words of Run-On. He was HIGHLY active in the Shadow Academy passing 31 courses netting 11 degrees. He posted 6 Reports and commented 38 times. In terms of leadership Maximus held many positions. He was Quaestor for 4 months, Aedile for 2 months, Magister to the Herald for 2 months, and BTS for 1 month. For all of these efforts Maximus has achieved high regard. He earned several highly vaunted awards such as a Sapphire Blade, 3 Gold Nova, 1 Silver Nova and a Bronze Nova. He also earned 9 PoBs, 1024 CoFs, 25 CoIs, 55 CoEs, 22 CoGs, and 1 Scroll of the Master.

That is JUST the objective data on Maximus Alvinius. Max has been a peer of mine for several years, and we worked together in CSP before both making our ways to COU. Maximus is a born leader. There simply is no one who is as active in Telegram, email, message boards, and reports. His direct contact with all those under his purview is astounding. He has a direct and active communication with everyone. This has allowed for an unprecedented growth within House Satele Shan.

Case in point, his trust and faith in opening Tython Squadron. Maximus believed the time was right to open a new Battleteam and solicited inputs. He did not micromanage, and supported me in my role as BTL. Such leadership and management of his staff has seen over 9 competitions being created and over 100 submissions from the members of Tython Squad. For the record, Tython Squadron, the brainchild of Maximus Alvinius, is the largest BT in the DJB and has only existed for 2 months.

Leadership initiatives like this mark Alvinius and is the standard, not the exception. Maximus has created a formalized process for reviewing and purchasing possessions for the House that has highly engaged the leadership and revitalized the possessions within the House and to some degree Clan level. Max has unlimited trust and faith in his personnel, it has driven activity to unheard of heights. This is a man destined for higher office and is highly deserving of this new rank.

Max, congratulations brother. You have truly earned this promotion and are THE driving force of Satele Shan.

Mauro Wynter, 2018-02-06 17:52:29 UTC

Maximus Alvinius has been a force of nature since he joined Satele Shan. I jokingly call him a hamster on a constantly moving wheel. In actuality though, it is a mark of respect and admiration towards him. That's just who is he, a ball of energy that just keeps going and going and going. He has used this drive to feverishly push Shan forward, whether it's urging his Aedile and BTL onwards or picking up the shovel himself. To put a fine point on it, Shan was in desperate need of a pick me up. Maximus Alvinius breathed life into it again through not only his own energy but more impressively by getting others to breath life into it as well. It's amazing work, brother. People don't always give these grassroots efforts their due, but it really is hard work. You make it look easy, but I know it isn't. To all the hours you put into it, words aren't really enough. But since this is all I have, Thank you so very much!

In addition to his great influence on Shan, I'd like to dig more into his wiki help. Since he's joined us, he has put in some time helping update and fix our wiki pages. In particular, he has updated the Summit roll, updated the main pages with our new location and home, updated the main pages with the new Tython destruction, updated the main pages with bits and pieces from the GJW fictions, and assorted other wiki pages. He also helped a fellow Shan member with the Daleem wiki page and updated the Satele Shan House info. He wasn't asked to do this but showed great initiative and got it done. He not only made crucial updates but he took time to continually do so as new information was released. This is not only dedication to House Shan but to the Clan itself. It makes our lives so much easier. Great job!

Overall, Maximus has shown that he isn't just a member. He's a leader who looks after his people, gets to know them, and does right by them. (Even if that requires wiki editing) I've known him since his time in CSP and now as a fellow Odanite. He never ceases to amaze me with his community spirit and high charging energy. Shan is in great hands and I can't wait to see where it takes it next.

I recommend that Maximus Alvinius be promoted to the rank of Equite 3!

Aura Ta'var
Proconsul, Odan-Urr

Aurora "Aura" Ta'var, 2018-02-07 04:50:21 UTC

I have known Maximus for some time now. He is one of the most motivated and motivating leaders I have ever had the pleasure of working under. Working along side him I have continued to learn how to be a leader that keeps his members going. We have worked extremely well together, with only one major hiccup since we entered our posts.

Maximus lead from the front during the Great Jedi War, earning himself Second Hero for his activity. Leading from the from the front is one of the things that makes Max successful. This has continued in the House's fictional development through fostering the Summit's creativeness and including his own ideas. All of this while working on the Praxum and working in the Herald Staff.

Maximus, it is my honor to work with you and I look forward to continuing to work with you. Congratulations on a well earned promotion my friend!
