Halc has done basically everything in this club over the past 23 years and, for some reason, can't seem to permanently retire. He's been DGM (twice!), CON and PCON several times, and various flavors of House and BT leader, plus many DC staff jobs over the years. Even as a crusty old Prophet, he helped to launch the possessions system and has served well as both P:Regent and P:MAA. He's also found time to participate in basically all of our recent vendettas, putting on a strong showing for Clan Rogue.

Mostly, though, he annoys Howie, and that is the mark of a true elder.

In another universe Halcyon would be a Grand Master. The fact that he never became a Grand Master is one of my greatest regrets in the Dark Brotherhood. In the old days of 2006, 2007, and 2008, Halc was involved in nearly every key discussion concerning the future of the Dark Brotherhood. He was a trusted advisor to Jac, myself, and Muz. His input helped shape the way the Dark Brotherhood would evolve and in particular shaped the way Vendettas were conducted. We can see his impact to this day on the level of work and detail expected in a GJW or Rite of Supremacy.

Beyond those years, Halc has silently, and often without expectation of award, served in an insane amount of leadership positions throughout the Dark Brotherhood. His work includes Combat Master, Wiki Staff Member, Consul, Voice, Shadow Academy Professor, ACC Judge, Right Hand of Justice, Recruitment staff, Deputy Grand Master again, Proconsul (several times),and appeals panel. In other words, Halc has basically worked on nearly every aspect of our club....and I say it again, has done so without any real expectation of gratitude or award.

Halc loves the DB and for that and all he has done, he is an example of what an EL4 is and should be moving forward.

Halcyon. Halcy. Halcy von Doodle. Lord of the Bias. Darth Vires (yes I went and looked it up). Clifford the Big Green Halc. There are many many names for one hell of a Dark Brotherhood member. Most recently, and close to my job, Halc has served a MAA Magistrate - for just over three years. He makes sure that my ever decaying brain doesn't approve or deny something stupid, all the while reminding us (Howie and Mune) of the context of some of the mid-2000s Brotherhood that I was asleep for. Promotion to JamesRank is entirely proper for a member of his status, and Sarin has detailed his lifelong contributions to our Space Wizarding Foundation Club Thing.

But because I'm me, and I like roster stats, let's do that. Since his last promotion in 2011, Halc has organized 69 competitions, participated in 626 competitions (yes I went and counted), and earned a Silver Sash, two Ruby Scepters, two Amethyst Kukri, four Grand Crosses, six Steel Crosses, one Anteian Cross, seven Dark Crosses, like 200 crescents, almost 20 Novae, and enough GJW Seals and competition Crescents that nobody should ever bother counting because it's too god damn many.

It never felt right that I outranked Halc. I mean - look at him. He's Green, he's done every job in the DB, and he's generally awesome and yes, we even say that to his face. He's a good Halc. Congratulations on your promotion to JamesRank because I don't remember what it's called and I am not learning it now.

Cello has been a silent titan in CSP for many years. When I am reviewing my emails, I see his name appear in far more places than I expect. He's always on top of things, but never brags or boasts.

Since his last promotion, he has participated in 128 competitions, earning 5 crescents, 36 clusters of Graphite, and 2 seals of Trancendence. He's passed 9 SA courses. Ranked up in the Shroud Syndicate. and he's earend 409840 credits for Clan Scholae Palatinae.

Although Cello isn't the most vocal of our members, his impact is constantly felt. His contributions to Clan level competitions have bumped many up to the next level. I am grateful for his continual positive impact on the Clan and am so proud to see him advance to the next level of the Equite Ranks. Congratulations to you Cello! Well Earned!

Without people like Cello, we wouldn't be where we are today. Cello has been the person that works behind the scenes of the Clan for most of his career here, making his way up the ranks rather quietly. It's always great to see his name pop up in my emails. His hard work and dedication have been more than appreciated and it's time we award him appropriately. He's also earned a Steel Cross, a Grand Cross, and not just 1 but 2 Sapphire Blades since his last promotion. Thank you, Cello, for your continued service to the Clan. You've earned this promotion! Drinks are on you!
