In over two years of membership in the Brotherhood (approaching three), Magik has always been in Tarentum. He started off like a rocket, and earned his Knighthood in a good amount of time. From that point, he has been held back without being able to proceed into the Equite ranks. Yes, he has gone through periods of less activity, but Magik has ever been present. He has never been gone. He has never Rogued out or gone AWOL. I think that speaks to the level of his character and dedication. In my opinion, Magik is one of the pillars of this era of Tarentum. And he is a valuable, foundational member of this family.

Rax has spoken of his medals. The items that he has earned. I would like to speak about not only his character, but his initiative. Magik has never truly received "mentoring" into how to advance beyond the normal programs with the Rollmaster, and getting into Knighthood. He has gone through the teaching programs of the Shadow Academy, for certain. Yet, Magik has been incredibly active at trying to create and provide competitions even at the Club-wide level. He has been doing this on his own. He is a giving, generous member who wants to grow personally, but wants the Club to benefit. This is the kind of attitude and one of the premier qualities in members who are truly lifelong leadership. When I say that Magik is truly a pillar of this generation, this iteration of Tarentum, I mean it.

Magik, your work has not been unnoticed. Your peers and your friends and kin here in Tarentum watch you with appreciation. While I have not been a member of the Tarentum leadership for very long, I have certainly seen the impact that Magik has on the Clan. He is a shining example what a great clan member should be, hyper activity and a constant presence on telegram.

Down to the brass tacks, since his last promotion in Aug. 2015 Magik has earned 2 Seal of Loyalties, 23 Crescents of varying degree, 1 Anteian Cross, 6 Clusters of Ice and 22 Clusters of Fire. He has increased his knowledge of the Club and Dark Side tremendously as well, earning 5 Shadow Academy Degrees including a Dark Savant of History and Lore. In addition to his impress haul of hardware, he has Organized 3 Club Level fiction competitions and participated in a further 75 individual competitions.

I think his elevation to the Equite ranks is well deserved and long overdue.

Since his last promotion sixteen months ago, Kordath has continued to exemplify the slightly worrying awe-inspiring standard he has always set, working constantly at both leadership and all manner and make of activity. He has (co)organized 52 competitions and participated in 203, of which he has placed in 59, earning himself 1 Crescent with Diamond Star, 12 Crescents with Ruby Stars, 16 Crescents with Amethyst Stars, 17 Crescents with Sapphire Stars, 10 Crescents with Emerald Stars, 2 Crescents with Topaz Stars, and 1 Crescent with Quartz Star. Across the span of these activities, he has also earned 6 Pendants of Blood, 605 Clusters of Fire, and 329 Cluster of Earth over 19 PvP matches and 79 PvE matches, and 278 Clusters of Ice over 22 ACC battles, 42 fiction activities, and 2 Run-On posts, amounting to 85155 and 1080 words of fiction respectively. This, however, is still not the end to his participation, as he's completed 11 Shadow Academy courses and earned 2 Degrees, graded 3 himself, garnered 7 Clusters of Graphite, 2 Scrolls of Indoctrination for recruiting Tali Sroka and Koliss Welcott — now Knights, themselves — 2 Scrolls of the Master for mentoring Aryelline Sargon and Koliss to Knighthood, and 2 Seals of Loyalty from Clan and Combat Master respectively for outstanding service. Furthermore, he has been awarded a Grand Cross and Steel Cross for time as an active member and Rollmaster in Arcona, and a Dark Cross for his assistance to the Regent in Possessions before the system's launch.

In addition to his very enthusiastic activity, Kordath has been a staple of Arconan leadership over the last year and a half, as he has been for well more than that. In that time, Kord finished off long stints as Rollmaster and as Magistrate to the Voice — which Wally will detail below — with 9 months and 7 months in each respective position. Further, he has spent 5 months as an ACC judge in which he graded 9 battles, and another 4 months as Aedile and 3 months as Quaestor to Galeres. The man has been quite literally all over this Summit, wherever and whenever he was needed, from the Clan level to the House and Battleteam level as an active manager or member. He has run numerous competitions for those under his care and assisted in running many others, including a particular Valentines series in which he helped each of Arcona's Journeymen to run their first competitions along with him. He has made consistent reports where necessary in conjunction with his fellow leaders in each of his positions, has been active in promoting events and in promoting and rewarding members, has contributed to nearly every summit discussion on Telegram or in email, and has been one of the frontliners in leading by example and encouraging all sorts of activity, especially amongst newcomers to fiction or the ACC, where he's been a stalwart mentor in and out of competitive climates. Kord is a friend and teacher in his own way to everyone around him, and at the end of the day, is one of few people who will do anything asked of him or needed of him when the call comes, no matter how late the metaphorical hour.

For all these reasons and every other given here today, I'm pleased to present Kord with his final Equite rank as the symbol it stands for: dedication to more than oneself, to Clan and Brotherhood. Kordath, or Matty, continues to be the example by which I would say that any member can contribute to the Brotherhood as a whole so long as they are willing to learn and develop themselves to do so. His service as Rollmaster and Aedile and now Quaestor to Arcona continues to show that in any role we place him in, he will be there to serve our members first and foremost. He is always the helping hand with recommendations, willing to review them to ensure that the member's activity meets the desired award, proofing or making suggestions on what they could tackle.

He is also our most level-headed; when tempers flare among the summit it doesn’t take long for Matty to settle things down, ensuring that our summit works together to meet the end goal of serving our members. Whether it be project management, member awards, or summit delegation, he has served his responsibilities faithfully and ensured Arcona’s continued success.

Kord is a powerhouse of activity to the point that I sometimes question what devil he may or may not have traded illicit favors with in order to get this ability. He participates in and creates a frackton of competitions, is an active member in the ACC (both as a participant and as a judge), and generally is a fantastic fellow to work with. He’s spearheaded more projects than I can even remember, and is always ready to give constructive feedback on other people’s tasks. His experience in the Brotherhood, Arcona, and as a Rollmaster has been invaluable to me as my partner-in-crime while running House Galeres.

I honestly couldn’t ask for a much better person to work with, and I fully endorse this award. He is more than active, and a role model that puts forth his best at all times. I have learned a lot from him, and I look forward to learning more in the future. Thank you, Kordy ol’ pal. Keep your tail where it should be, and we shall go far.

In 7 months of service as Magistrate to the Voice, Kordath Bleu has approved a whopping 147 character sheets for members of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. I lead with this metric because it is nothing short of spectacular, leaving Kord with the 6th most CS approvals since the launch of the system. Beyond this simple metric, Kordath has spent countless hours working with members on remands by giving constructive feedback and even following up with members through email when they were having difficulties. He was able to do this with a strong understanding of the approval guidelines and an even keeled temperament that made it easy for him to communicate with members. This included helping members understand the formatting needed to get a sheet approved, especially pre-possessions where Weapons Loadout field gave people struggle.

As a Magistrate, Kord was also involved in helping proof read any documentation that the Voice Staff published over his 7 months of service. His opinion was noted on the Competition Approval guidelines as well as Cluster of Ice articles as we made updated and edits to guidelines and procedures. He also helped read over and approve countless competitions, making sure that they followed the proper guidelines, before they were passed on to the MAA.

Having Kordath on staff was a blessing, and I always felt comfortable when he said he was working on a character sheet or task.

Kord is a member that I am fortunate to have on staff. He provides the "everyman" perspective that can be so sorely needed in any group. It is easy to lose sight of things, or take for granted what should be common knowledge or expected to be seen in reports. This is a boon easily overlooked. He carries this view with him everywhere. Even into judgements. In my opinion, this makes him easier to understand than those who skim every report looking for all the minutia. It makes him relatable to those he judges. There will never be a remark that is worded in such a way that it might confuse a fledgling member. He makes sure he understands it and therefor others will follow.

In his time on staff, Kordath has been responsible for 9 ACC match judgements. These can take anywhere from a half hour to three hours to complete. He has done so for both experienced and new members alike. However, he has touched so many more judgements than that. He is a constant voice in the staff channel and never afraid to present his perspective on something. Nor will he shy away from calling out anyone when they're being too harsh or uptight. Beyond this, he has managed to oversee the qualification grading for three exams, helping members ready themselves for the ACC environment.

For everything he does, and continues to do, I consider it an honor to append a recommendation regarding Kordath's service in this club.

In the time since his last promotion 18 months ago, Uji - or Donny - has been many things: my right hand man for a year as Proconsul, a leader and friend to his people, an active voice amid the communities of clan, club, and gaming, and an overall fantastic member, constantly concerned citizen, and active pursuer of change. He has organized 28 competitions and co-organized 30, never one to let there be a lull in activities available for members. Part and parcel to that, Uji has participated in 175 competitions and placed in 32, including Brotherhood-level Celebration events, earning himself 2 Crescents with Diamond Stars, 1 Crescent with Ruby Star, 6 Crescents with Amethyst Stars, 9 Crescents with Sapphire Stars, and 8 Crescents with Emerald Stars. More specifically, he has also been a participant in all our types of activity, from gaming and writing to graphics and Shadow Academy work, accumulating 6 Pendants of Blood, 711 Clusters of Fire, and 1071 Clusters of Earth over 158 PvE activities and 21 PvP matches, as well as 21 Clusters of Ice for 9 fiction activities and 4 ACC battles, and 5 Run-On posts, valuing 3781 and 4301 words respectively. Furthermore, Uji has earned 6 Clusters of Graphite, 1 Scroll of the Dark Side, passed 9 Shadow Academy courses, was awarded a Seal of Loyalty from his Clan for outstanding service and representation, and took in a Scroll of Indoctrination for recruiting Lucine Vasano, now a Knight. A Grand Cross served to emphasize all this activity, granted to Uji for his great strides as Proconsul and Aedile both.

Uji finished a term as Aedile of Galeres, served well on a year as Proconsul of the First Clan, and then couldn't even retire properly; he went on to take a stint as Magitstrate to the Fist for the last four months and has recently retaken the mantle of Battleteam leader of Nighthawk. In all of these capacities he is a model leader, creating and running competitions so his members are never without content, contacting membership and directly engaging them, starting conversations and discussions both in House, Clan, and gaming chats as well as summit and staff chats, and constantly looking for things to improve upon.

Specifically as my second-in-command for the last year, I can say that Uji was the force which often held this summit together, supporting not only the House leaders he managed but supporting me consistently. He would delegate tasks and projects and perform administrative functions in conjunction with me, including handling Possessions organization, wiki projects, House check ins, and writing reports or assisting in writing them. He consistently mediated difficulties in our Clan of strong personalities and managed our chain of command, navigating all sorts of situations within the Clan and without, contributing to communication and fostering good will and competition between we and our sister units. He oversaw promotions and awards with diligence and stringent care for seeing members recognized, and still lead by example in both competing and community building within the Clan and across Clans. Additionally, in a constantly changing Brotherhood and, by extent, an always shifting Arcona summit, he oversaw every hiring and helped teach junior or new leaders the skillsets they needed while accomplishing everything else listed above. When the time came to end his tenure, he assured as smooth of a transition as possible, staying on for me until a replacement could be adequately onboarded.

Donny, we had many disagreements. Many. :P But that is because of how much we each care for this Clan, how much you invested in it, and for that investment, Arcona can little thank you enough. You've accomplished scores in your time, and I can only see you going on to continue leading both our Clan and our Brotherhood. Thank you for everything, and congratulations.

Uji is a prime example of a leader whose impact extends beyond his own unit. Others have detailed his contributions as a clan leader and member of the Fist staff, I am here to attest to his countless intangible contributions as a leader within the ranks and valued peer during his time on the dark summit.

I can honestly say Uji has helped me make Odan-Urr a better place by serving as a collaborator in pushing gaming initiatives and a valued source of advice and perspective. The whole #brocon thing was thrown around as a joke but there was a very deep element of truth to it. I can’t fully express how valuable it was to have a peer who could offer a sympathetic ear or more often a reality check. Those cross-clan relationships between leaders don’t jump off a dossier without a structured event, but they are so important.

Often our collaborations would center around gaming since we are both avid gamers and a significant portion of the Brotherhood’s most prolific gamers reside in our respective clans. Drac detailed Uji’s push to get Titanfall 2 adopted, that was just one example of his leadership in the gaming community and ability to reach across unit lines to rally leaders toward bettering the DB as a whole.

The pinnacle Equite rank is well-deserved in this case and I look forward to continuing our collaborations. #brocons for life!

Uji’s service on the Fist Staff over the past 4 months has been nothing short of exemplary. In just a short period of service, Uji has take the lead on providing updates to the myriad of Gaming Wiki pages, provided sound advice on the Rites of Combat, and streamlining systems within the staff to simplify our task management processes. Uji was also the key driver for the addition for Titanfall 2 as a supported platform. Uji played more games than any other member, submitting well over 50 screenshots of the various modes for the game, while also actively pushing the game to the members of the DJB. Without his efforts, Titanfall 2 would not have made it through the screening process. Along with the intangibles of driving activity and promoting new games, Uji has been an absolute workhorse for helping to approve activities in a timely manner. Since joining the FIST staff, Uji has approved 129 PVE/PVO activities and 106 PVP activities. That’s 235 individual submissions that Uji has screened for proper submission. Simply incredible. I am excited to have the opportunity to join the Arcona leadership in recommending him for promotion to Equite 4. Congratulations, Donny. Drinks are on you!
