Christopher Winchester, or as we call him Nero, has been a member of House Hoth almost 3 months now and during that time he has been a very active and impressive member of not only the House, but the Clan as a whole. So, Nero has definitely has integrated himself into the House and brought with him his drive, determination and a slew of activity with him.

Since his last promotion 2 years ago, Nero has an impressive resume to his name. During this time, he served as BTL for 13 days, Aedile for 6 months and currently has held a M:MAA position for the last 11 months! So clearly Nero is one that isn’t afraid of responsibility and a hefty workload. If that wasn’t impressive enough he also organized 3 competitions, co-organized 9 competitions and participated in 97 competitions earning himself a Steel Cross, an Anteian Cross, a Dark Cross, a Crescent with Ruby Star, 2 Crescents with Amethyst Star, 3 Crescents with Sapphire Star, 9 Crescents with Emerald Star, 3 Crescents with Topaz Star, 10 Pendants of Blood, 1582 Clusters of Fire, 3 Clusters of Ice for 1794 run-on words, 162 Clusters of Earth, 1 Scroll of Introduction for recruiting Aysteda and 3 Legion of the Scholar!

Nero has hit the ground running in Hoth and to show this he recently went 8 for 9 comps in the most recent Clan Event: Homecoming and finished 5th overall. He definitely showed up when the House needed him the most and it even inspired me and other members of the House to participate more in the event.

We can spend days talking about his numbers, but for me it’s the person that has impressed me the most. He can be a pain from time and time but he is always putting his views and ideas out there. Even if they might not be the popular way to think about things he at least brings a different viewpoint to the discussion and that a rare and great thing to have in any unit. Nero is always there is offer suggestions and how to improve how comps are designed and ran. Not to mention he will always give feedback on any comp he takes part in good or bad he lets you know how to make the next one better.

OK lets face it, Nero talks ALOT, he makes his thoughts and opinion known even when it to the chagrin to his superiors and he gets others to voice theirs as well. So to some this may be a sign of a trouble member, but I see it as an honest and no holds barred feedback source to know where and when I can improve. Not only for my sake, but for the entire House. So I’m glad Nero is around to give the Summit the feedback we desperately need.

At this time it’s not only my pleasure but it’s my honor to recommend Christopher Winchester for his promotion to EQ2, Congratulations Nero, you more than earned this!

Additional reasons

I will try to not repeat what has been covered in detail by others, but I will say that Nero has made a splash in Odan-Urr with an active and vocal presence. The enthusiasm he has brought to the Clan and absolute recklessness with which he chews through our content has made him one of our most prominent members. In our most recent Clan event he was one event shy of perfect participation. He’s also been a shot in the arm to our gaming community, reaching GMRG X and the top nine in the current quarter. On a more personal level Nero has become my concious of sorts. I can always rely on him to give me the ground level perspective on what’s going on in the Clan. He’s a solid member of the Clan and a fine person to game with or call your friend.

Congrats bro!

Long story short, Nero has been a fantastic addition to House Hoth and Odan-Urr. His sheer willingness to get things done is something that can be seen in his every day activities within the Brotherhood. Always around when someone needs a gaming partner, at least for the games he plays, and always going as far as he can in any competition or event, Nero brings a positive attitude.

I want to thank you for everything you've done, Nero. You are a stellar member and I'm proud to know that you're with us in COU and House Hoth. Congratulations on your well deserved promotion!

Arcia Cortel, Quaestor of Hoth

Rear Admiral Arcia Cortel, 2016-08-17 00:46:13 UTC

Oh, Little Nero. Your abandoning of me seems to have done good work, which his buddies in COU have gone into great depth about. Here's the thing that I admire about Nero, and I hope he continues to do even after leaving Tal. Nero learned one of the most important things about leadership in this club - and it's something that people seem to have lost (and therefore, I harp on it) - knowing when it's time to go. When Nero stepped down as Dinaari's Aedile in February, he did not need to be hinted at, told, yelled at, or worse still, fired. Nero was able to look at himself, his contributions to his house, clan, and the club as a whole, and realized he needed to move on - and his unit needed fresh blood. That is a trait that is especially rare in the Brotherhood these days, I am thankful that he has it, and I hope he continues to grow and pass that particular trait onto others in the future - everyone needs it. Congrats, Little Nero!

Junazee is the textbook example of what we mean when we say "sustained activity over time." Since her last promotion in November, Juna has consistently been one of Satele Shan's most active members. This activity has earned her 2 Steel Crosses since becoming an Equite.

A gamer at heart, Juna has taken in just shy of two thousand awards for gaming: across 229 matches, she's earned 15 Crescents, 9 Pendants of Blood, 214 Clusters of Earth, and a staggering 1716 Crescents of Fire. In total, she's participated in 93 competitions since November.

Juna is generally fairly quiet, sticking to smaller channels on Telegram, but she's a fixture on voice chat. Those who've joined her for Overwatch, Battlefront, or Star Conflict can confirm that she's a joy to hang out with during her marathon late-night game sessions.

Thanks for the excellent activity, Juna! I look forward to all the award recs yet to come.

Additional reasons

Juna is the kind of member who makes the Clan and the Brotherhood a more fun place to be. She is one of Odan-Urr's top gamers who is, as of the writing of this, currently #8 in the GMRG leaderboard for 3rd Quarter 2016, putting her in the hunt for one of the coveted GMRG XII slots. Beyond her presence in Clan channels and epic gaming levels she is also one of our most reliable competitors. She recently went 5/9 competitions in the last Clan event and was a strong participant in our feud with Plagueis.

Juna, thanks for everything you do for the Clan and generally just being awesome.

Junazee is a pleasure to have on the battleteam. She is a kindred spirit with gaming, always down for pazaak, overwatch or battlefront, providing an entertaining and enjoyable gaming session. Her gaming skill is quite impressive and she always creates a light and fun environment either with gaming or any djb chat platform. She can always be counted on to represent StO for different competitions for the house or clan. I am more than happy to recommend her for EQ2.

Congrats Juna!

Since her last promotion in November, Aaleeshah has lived up to the ideals of an Equite: sustained activity over time, service to her House, and a sterling example of good character and a positive attitude.

In terms of activity, Aaleeshah emerged as one of the preeminent gamers in COU and the Brotherhood as a whole last winter. Across 201 submitted activities, Aalee has clawed her way up to GMRG X, earning 999 Clusters of Fire, 207 Clusters of Earth, and 4 Pendants of Blood in the process. This fits with her general pattern of activity, as she has participated in 64 competitions and taken home a whopping 21 Crescents, including two of the coveted Diamond Stars. Aalee even dipped her toes into writing, earning a Cluster of Ice along with all of her gaming awards.

Aalee has been the Battleteam Leader of Striketeam Ooroo for several months, and has organized 6 competitions for her team. She created and maintains the STO Telegram channel. Her activity and service have earned her a Steel Cross and an Anteian Cross since her promotion, and I have no doubt there are many more awards to come.

I've been alongside, directly below, and directly above Aalee in the Clan hierarchy, and I can personally attest that she treats all members the same: kindly, with enthusiasm, and never with so much as a negative word. That she maintains an affable, can-do attitude when things are going well is wonderful, but that she maintains that attitude even when under significant stress is even more impressive.

Aaleeshah, you are one of Satele Shan's greatest assets. Congratulations, and keep up the good work.

Aaleeshah has been a strong gamer and a consistent competitor in our Clan events, setting a strong standard for her team. Her quiet dedication both to her team and the Clan make her an essential member of our summit.

Where to start with Aaleeshah? I could start with her impressive number of awards and activities but others will discuss those better then I. So I rather focus oh her drive, her spirit, her attention to detail, her love for her team and more importantly her determination. All of which have impressed me from the first time we meet.

Aalee is always thinking on how to drive not only her team forward but also how to push herself just enough to be one of the best battleteam leaders I have had the pleasure to know and work with. She runs the team in a strong professional but yet fun manner in which we all know that her strike team will always show up in events.

She also is one heck of a gaming partner, when her schedule allows she is always looking to get a group together to not only earn clusters for the DJB but also just get together and have some fun. Even when I'm not in a good mood her kind and friendly personality definitely makes being in the DJB just a bit better.

It's not only a pleasure but a extreme honor to endorse Aaleeshah's EQ2 promotion she more than deserves it!

Congratulations Aalee!

Scion Tarentae
Primary reason

Tahiri has been a fount of activity in Tarentum for some time now, rising quickly through the ranks and taking part in nearly all the different aspects the Dark Brotherhood has to offer. Since her last promotion only about a month ago she has participated in 21 competitions from all categories, and organized two of her own. She wrote 1500 words of fiction, passed a Shadow Academy course, came home with 10 crescents and some of every kind of cluster as well as a Pendant of Blood. She also earned two Dark Crosses for her efforts. The only thing I see missing is the ACC, but I'm sure we'll see her there in the future.

The point is that since joining in November, Tahiri jumped straight into the deep end and has been a strong swimmer ever since. Besides activity she is an active participant on Telegram and is making more friends within the Clan. She is one of the strongest Journeymen I've seen in awhile.

Reaching Knighthood is the pinnacle of a lot of members' experience in the Dark Brotherhood, but I do not think it will be the last promotion for Tahiri. It is the point at which your attention must turn from the advancement of yourself to the advancement of the group as a whole, whether that is your Battle Team, your House, or your Clan. It is the first time that you can take on your own apprentice and begin to teach what you have learned. It is a point where you can start to look for positions and responsibilities that can have a wider range of influence over others' experience in the club. Based on her activity and attitude I am pleased to recommend Tahiri for Knighthood, and I greatly look forward to seeing her sphere of influence grow within Tarentum not only as a participant, but now as a leader and a teacher.

Scion Tarentae, 2016-08-16 14:39:10 UTC
Additional reasons

If all Journeymen could follow the example of Tahiri Drakon Night-Thorn, our participation ratings would go through the ceiling. There aren't many Clan-wide competitions in which this lady didn't participate. Participation is one thing... Placing in these comps another... Well done on those Crescents

Already in her early days, I could tell that Tahiri would be Knighted soon. I had great expectations... and she lived up to all of them!

Tarentum would not be the same without you, you're one of the members that I not only like to call my Clan-mate, but my family as well.

Tarentum adds a KNIGHT to its rank! RISE!

Ranarr Kul-Tarentae, 2016-08-13 21:26:20 UTC

Tahiri has been working tirelessly to foster competition and conversation in Tarentum. She is a positive influence on all of us, and has a great attitude. She really does help motivate the next generation of Tarentum to be the life and longevity that will make the Clan of Life and Death a continued vital part of the Club. The Brotherhood cannot be whole without Tarentum, and we are not complete without members like Tahiri. She is a wonderful example to us all.

Congratulations, and stand among us as a true warrior of the Dark Side. Good job, Tahiri!

Master Zsarion Bloodfyre, 2016-08-16 00:51:06 UTC

Tahiri has really stepped up her game to become one of Tarentum's most valuable Journeyman, or should I say Journeywoman. :) She's great to be around on Telegram. She is helpful to everyone in need and at the same time she does each and every competition we the summit host. She's a great example on how every Tarenti should be. She's been killing it in both gaming and fiction departments. She has her own, now household name, competition which involves cypher decoding.

Clan Tarentum, loves Tahiri, and I look forward seeing her rise through the ranks as Tarentum's next top star. Congratulations, Knight Tahiri Drakon!

Frosty Romanae Tarentae, 2016-08-16 06:27:54 UTC

What can I say about Tahiri Drakon Night-Thorn? Well aside from the fact that she has made proud at every moment in her time with the Brotherhood? Well, she is an absolute embodiment of what I have tried to pass on to my students. And has always given 110% to everything she does. She has only recently embraced the Sith philosophy, but despite that she has embraced it fully. And while she still has much to learn of the Force and the Dark Side, I am certain that there is no more that I can teach her. It is time for her to forge her own path. I am proud to see her move from the role of a student to the role of teacher. I am happy to now call her a sister in the Dark Side. Congrats Knight Tahiri Drakon Night-Thorn.

Raist, Raistypoo, “God Dammit Raist.” Those are some of the many nicknames that I have for Raistline Taldrya Majere, and they are nothing if not terms of endearment – and they describe the respect and admiration that I have for Raist as a person, a member of the Brotherhood, a leader in Taldryan, and ultimately, a leader in the Brotherhood. Since Raist’s last promotion in November of 2014 (meaning he meets the promotion guidelines’ minimum time in grade), he’s served as House Ektrosis’ Quaestor for nearly ten months, approximately four additional months as its Aedile, and four months prior to that the Battleteam Leader of the Wardens. Said differently, Raist exceeds the minimum time in leadership positions as set of forth in the promotion guidelines. Throughout that time, Raist has guided his units through the creation of competitions (having created or help create 23 competitions in his time), the writing of reports (10 Quaestor, 7, Aedile, 6 Battleteam), and generally being around for his members. Bobecc Varga, his former Aedile (and successor as Quaestor) details Raist’s performance as an individual member of this club below, but I want to go a little more detail on who and what Raist is as a person (and liberally steal from Yacko’s glowing recommendation in Raist’s Sapphire Blade).

Raist has been a member of the Brotherhood since the 1990s, and in all that time, he’s been the same consistent and honest guy. It’s not that Raist keeps his head down and does his work (and lots of it) – that is true, it’s just the manner in which he does it. He strives to better his battleteam, his house, his clan, and ultimately himself through hard work, and personal effort. He does not politic, and he does not get into pissing matches with others – that’s just not his way. He did not see the next rung up the leadership as a personal goal for his own benefit or his own power (or ego?) – he wanted to pursue those positions to better himself and better Taldryan. He stayed as Ektrosis’ Quaestor as long as he felt he was doing the position justice, and then? He came to the summit – and said he needed to go. Raist knew it was time, and that is the sign of a great leader – and it’s something that few in the Brotherhood possess, and even fewer act on.

For his service to Clan Taldryan and the Dark Brotherhood over the past year and a half, Raistline Taldrya Majere is elevated to Augur!

God Dammit Raist, congratulations!

Howlader Taldrya, 2016-08-09 04:46:18 UTC
Additional reasons

Raistline Taldrya has been an incredible asset to Taldryan, an incredible superior, and an all around pleasant guy. It was sad to see Raist finally depart with Summit back in April, I had worked with him since my start on Summit, and he has helped me a tremendous amount, he is a true leader.

A great example of this is his Scroll of the Master for guiding Djasei Brevis to the rank of Knight. Which is why it's unsurprising that he has been awarded such things like a Sapphire Blade, and a Steel Cross since his last promotion for his tremendous work in Taldryan.

On top of being a spectacular leader, he is also incredibly active. Raist has competed in a whopping 137 competitions since his last promotion earning himself some proud shinies to display including; 4 Crescents with Ruby Stars, 6 Crescents with Amethyst Stars, 10 Crescents with Sapphire Stars, 9 Crescents with Emerald Stars, 4 Crescents with Topaz Stars. To go along with all of the competitions he has competed in he has made a handful of them himself. Creating 18 competitions, and co-organizing 4 others. In the gaming side of things he has earned 5 Pendants Blood, 182 Clusters of Fire, 310 Clusters of Earth battling in 72 PvP matches, and in 30 PvE battles. In the world of fiction, he has competed in 6 fiction competitions writing almost 3000 words of Fiction, earning himself 6 Clusters of Ice. It doesn't end there either, he has completed 13 courses in the Shadow Academy earning another Degree, a Dark Pundit for his knowledge on Vendettas. Raist has managed to maintain a grade of almost 96% in his studies.

Raist, you have brought incredible honor to Taldryan, and you deserve to bear its name, thank you for all of your services, you deserve way more appreciation, and recognition for your continued service. It’s been an honor working with you and congratulations, Augur Raistline Taldrya Majere.

Bobecc Varga, 2016-08-05 20:22:00 UTC

What else can I say about Raist that I haven't already said at least once before?

He's awesome. He does things. He works hard for Taldryan, and he puts the Clan ahead of himself and any selfish desires that he may or may not have. He's good people, that Raist, and he deserves the promotion to KPN (because he's oldschool Krath and I am gunna let him decide who he is, not Mav).

Well done Raisty.

Yacks

Keirdagh Taldrya Cantor, 2016-08-05 22:11:22 UTC

Raistline. What a guy. I've been back in the club for a few years now and he's been a steady and friendly presence throughout. He's been my right-hand man more times that I can count and was a great resource and help while we were leading Wardens and Ektrosis together. I have a hard time putting to words how valuable he was - he's been in this club for ages and ages and had held a bunch of leadership positions. He remembers the old days (not quite as far back as the old bums like Yacks or Howie, but far enough) and is able to take those memories and turn them into something enjoyable for the membership. I don't want to re-hash everything everyone else said, but the key take-away that every one of us agree on is that Raist has always been an active and valuable contributor for Tal in every role he's been in. He's earned himself this promo!

Requested by
Grand Inquisitor Morax Darkblade
Primary reason

Aul Celsus has been a much needed addition to Clan Naga Sadow. Upon entering the Brotherhood a little over half a year ago, he has taken to the Clan, and the Club, with surprising tenacity. His devotion, loyalty and seemingly inexhaustible energy, not only to the Clan but the Brotherhood at large, provide a great example that other members should look up to. In fact, if we had more members who aspired to be like Aul Celsus, Naga Sadow would be a force to be reckoned with. It is with great pride and joy to be recommending "Owly" today for his promotion to the Equite ranks! Lets dig into his impressive history since his last recognition on the 2nd of May, 2016.

Aul has recently crushed it in the competitions sector, having participated in all competitions during the CNS/CSP Feud. Out of seventeen total competitions he earned himself two second place finishes, three third place finishes, two fourth place finishes, one fifth place, two sixth place finishes, one seventh place and finally two eighth place finishes for a total of two Ruby and three Amethyst Crescents! To top off his hard work he secured a First Place overall finish, earning himself his first ever Gold Nova! For this effort alone recognition is well deserved!

Our resident owl also participated in the 2016 ACC Journeyman Tourney, which encompassed the entire Brotherhood. Aul wrote phenomenally in every match and you can clearly see his progression with each new battle he wrote. For his amazing effort he placed second out of sixteen participants, earning a Ruby Crescent and a Gladius Badge accessory.

As if that wasn't enough, Aul has participated in another twenty-four competitions and earned another Ruby, four Amethyst, three Sapphire, three Emerald and one Topaz Star Crescent! Fiction wise, Aul has performed outstanding by completing six Fiction activities for a total word count of three-thousand-nine-hundred and fifty-two words!

Nope, we're not done yet! After having completed the Tourney he allowed himself to become entangled in the writing of yet another new wiki page in order to help expand the lore of House Shar Dakhan. After having completed the page on Arik Shathis, for which Aul was awarded, in part, an Anteian Cross, I felt confident in his abilities to handle wiki pages with high quality success. Thus The Empiricalum was finished just within a few days of Aul picking up the assignment once I approached him. Having added his own personal pictures and writing the page from his own experience in the lab, I could not be more happy with how real the page turned out to be. This is easily one of the more higher quality wiki pages in our system, one that I am proud to have Aul stick his name all over.

I could still go on and on about you Aul, but I have to let others praise you too!

I feel this is just the tip of the iceberg for this new member. These accomplishments in just under six months of joining the Club show how much potential Aul has. I for one cannot wait to see where he will end up later down the road. I am extremely proud of what you have accomplished in these past few months. Keep your head high and stomp through the opposition buddy!

Congratulations Aul on your promotion to Equite 1! This is more than well deserved and I hope you enjoy the new perks that come with the rank!

Quaestor of Shar Dakhan
Master of Aul Celsus

Grand Inquisitor Morax Darkblade, 2016-08-11 23:27:41 UTC
Additional reasons

Aul Celsus has quickly made a name for himself within Naga Sadow and the Brotherhood. His appearance in the Journeyman Tournament was seen by others to be a fleeting one, which of course led to a great deal of surprise that Aul made it all the way to the final where he took on Blade. His hard work and grit to succeed enabled him to do so.

Aul has become part of the family here in Naga Sadow. He's loud, posts loads of gifs and links in Telegram, generally annoying me alongside Darkblade and Ophelia (they're all fantastic at doing that). He's also super active, keen to learn and lead and no one can say a bad word about him.

Darkblade's rec more than states why Aul deserves this promotion. I can only say well done on what you've achieved so far, Aul. I look forward to seeing what more you can do now that you're part of the Equites.

Congratulations!

Proconsul of Naga Sadow

Professor Sanguinius Tsucyra Entar, 2016-08-09 09:10:10 UTC

Aul Celsus is a member who doesn't quit. He entered the Journeyman ACC Tournament and made it to the final round. Immediately afterward, we entered our feud with CSP. In this event, Aul was one of only four members to participate in every competition. He also placed and scored highly enough to have the highest individual score in the competition, thus earning a Gold Nova.

This is just one example of Aul's dedication and determination. He's great to have around in the clan and always bringing new ideas to the table. As the other recommendations show, Aul has been a steady competitor, while also helping out the Clan with projects and leading subunits.

Thus, I would like to add my name in recommending this promotion for Aul. Congratulations, and welcome to the Equites. No more Journeyman Tourneys for you!!!

Consul of Naga Sadow

Epis Locke Sonjie, 2016-08-11 19:53:32 UTC

Aul Celsus has been a firecracker since he joined us in Naga Sadow. He is hard-working and he is passionate. As the others have noted in their recommendations, he has accomplished a lot in his time with us. His placement in the Journeyman ACC was notable, his Gold Nova for his work in the recent Feud was spectacular and his wiki work is commendable.

Aul has been a consistent worker, an even stronger competitor and has fully integrated himself into our Clan family. He is constantly hanging around in Telegram with us when he is not kicking rear in competitions. His efforts can be noted, for example, in the 45 Clusters of Fire, the 18 Clusters of Ice, the 13 Clusters of Earth or the six classes he passed. If that isn't quite enough, you cannot forget that he managed to also finish a Dark Maven in Combat in June.

Now, I know some of the things that I have gone over will be reiterated by the others as they chime in. The greatest thing I have to credit Aul Celsus with is his attitude. He has been in my observation a great self-starter and is quick to learn from correction or advice. I do not believe I can recall a time when Aul was not at least somewhat up-beat. And that kind of stuff? That can get infectious. So you can imagine how happy I became when he applied to become the Battleteam Leader of Devil's Shroud- in my old post?

As time continues on, I firmly believe that Aul Celsus will continue to satisfy and later excel our expectations in him. Keep up the good work, Aul. Stand up and take your place amongst your peers as an Equite. Rise young Mystic!

Oh, and I hope you enjoy the shinies of your newfound rank.

For the short time Aul had spent as the BTL of Shadow's Bane in House Marka Ragnos, He proved to me that he was never afraid to ask questions when he needed to know more about his position, and he always had some great ideas for competitions. He always worked hard and even when activity was low, He tried his best to help maintain activity. I could tell him to go do something and he would have it done by the end of the week. I never once had to tell him twice. As Quaestor of House Marka Ragnos I am proud and honored to see him promoted. Congratulations Aul on your well deserved promotion!

Owly has earned a name for himself in the Clan. Working up and taking charge of the Battleteam Shadow's Bane before heading across to our sister house taking up the mantle of BTL.

He is a hard worker, having set out to achieve the best of what he can. Second in the Journeyman Tourney and First place in shattered ties.

His hard work is a credit to him and his House and it is a pleasure to put my recomendation in.
