Grand Inquisitor Morax Darkblade
Primary reason

Aul Celsus has been a much needed addition to Clan Naga Sadow. Upon entering the Brotherhood a little over half a year ago, he has taken to the Clan, and the Club, with surprising tenacity. His devotion, loyalty and seemingly inexhaustible energy, not only to the Clan but the Brotherhood at large, provide a great example that other members should look up to. In fact, if we had more members who aspired to be like Aul Celsus, Naga Sadow would be a force to be reckoned with. It is with great pride and joy to be recommending "Owly" today for his promotion to the Equite ranks! Lets dig into his impressive history since his last recognition on the 2nd of May, 2016.

Aul has recently crushed it in the competitions sector, having participated in all competitions during the CNS/CSP Feud. Out of seventeen total competitions he earned himself two second place finishes, three third place finishes, two fourth place finishes, one fifth place, two sixth place finishes, one seventh place and finally two eighth place finishes for a total of two Ruby and three Amethyst Crescents! To top off his hard work he secured a First Place overall finish, earning himself his first ever Gold Nova! For this effort alone recognition is well deserved!

Our resident owl also participated in the 2016 ACC Journeyman Tourney, which encompassed the entire Brotherhood. Aul wrote phenomenally in every match and you can clearly see his progression with each new battle he wrote. For his amazing effort he placed second out of sixteen participants, earning a Ruby Crescent and a Gladius Badge accessory.

As if that wasn't enough, Aul has participated in another twenty-four competitions and earned another Ruby, four Amethyst, three Sapphire, three Emerald and one Topaz Star Crescent! Fiction wise, Aul has performed outstanding by completing six Fiction activities for a total word count of three-thousand-nine-hundred and fifty-two words!

Nope, we're not done yet! After having completed the Tourney he allowed himself to become entangled in the writing of yet another new wiki page in order to help expand the lore of House Shar Dakhan. After having completed the page on Arik Shathis, for which Aul was awarded, in part, an Anteian Cross, I felt confident in his abilities to handle wiki pages with high quality success. Thus The Empiricalum was finished just within a few days of Aul picking up the assignment once I approached him. Having added his own personal pictures and writing the page from his own experience in the lab, I could not be more happy with how real the page turned out to be. This is easily one of the more higher quality wiki pages in our system, one that I am proud to have Aul stick his name all over.

I could still go on and on about you Aul, but I have to let others praise you too!

I feel this is just the tip of the iceberg for this new member. These accomplishments in just under six months of joining the Club show how much potential Aul has. I for one cannot wait to see where he will end up later down the road. I am extremely proud of what you have accomplished in these past few months. Keep your head high and stomp through the opposition buddy!

Congratulations Aul on your promotion to Equite 1! This is more than well deserved and I hope you enjoy the new perks that come with the rank!

Master of Aul Celsus

Additional reasons

Aul Celsus has quickly made a name for himself within Naga Sadow and the Brotherhood. His appearance in the Journeyman Tournament was seen by others to be a fleeting one, which of course led to a great deal of surprise that Aul made it all the way to the final where he took on Blade. His hard work and grit to succeed enabled him to do so.

Aul has become part of the family here in Naga Sadow. He's loud, posts loads of gifs and links in Telegram, generally annoying me alongside Darkblade and Ophelia (they're all fantastic at doing that). He's also super active, keen to learn and lead and no one can say a bad word about him.

Darkblade's rec more than states why Aul deserves this promotion. I can only say well done on what you've achieved so far, Aul. I look forward to seeing what more you can do now that you're part of the Equites.

Congratulations!

Proconsul of Naga Sadow

Professor Sanguinius Tsucyra Entar, 2016-08-09 09:10:10 UTC

Aul Celsus is a member who doesn't quit. He entered the Journeyman ACC Tournament and made it to the final round. Immediately afterward, we entered our feud with CSP. In this event, Aul was one of only four members to participate in every competition. He also placed and scored highly enough to have the highest individual score in the competition, thus earning a Gold Nova.

This is just one example of Aul's dedication and determination. He's great to have around in the clan and always bringing new ideas to the table. As the other recommendations show, Aul has been a steady competitor, while also helping out the Clan with projects and leading subunits.

Thus, I would like to add my name in recommending this promotion for Aul. Congratulations, and welcome to the Equites. No more Journeyman Tourneys for you!!!

Consul of Naga Sadow

Epis Locke Sonjie, 2016-08-11 19:53:32 UTC

Aul Celsus has been a firecracker since he joined us in Naga Sadow. He is hard-working and he is passionate. As the others have noted in their recommendations, he has accomplished a lot in his time with us. His placement in the Journeyman ACC was notable, his Gold Nova for his work in the recent Feud was spectacular and his wiki work is commendable.

Aul has been a consistent worker, an even stronger competitor and has fully integrated himself into our Clan family. He is constantly hanging around in Telegram with us when he is not kicking rear in competitions. His efforts can be noted, for example, in the 45 Clusters of Fire, the 18 Clusters of Ice, the 13 Clusters of Earth or the six classes he passed. If that isn't quite enough, you cannot forget that he managed to also finish a Dark Maven in Combat in June.

Now, I know some of the things that I have gone over will be reiterated by the others as they chime in. The greatest thing I have to credit Aul Celsus with is his attitude. He has been in my observation a great self-starter and is quick to learn from correction or advice. I do not believe I can recall a time when Aul was not at least somewhat up-beat. And that kind of stuff? That can get infectious. So you can imagine how happy I became when he applied to become the Battleteam Leader of Devil's Shroud- in my old post?

As time continues on, I firmly believe that Aul Celsus will continue to satisfy and later excel our expectations in him. Keep up the good work, Aul. Stand up and take your place amongst your peers as an Equite. Rise young Mystic!

Oh, and I hope you enjoy the shinies of your newfound rank.

For the short time Aul had spent as the BTL of Shadow's Bane in House Marka Ragnos, He proved to me that he was never afraid to ask questions when he needed to know more about his position, and he always had some great ideas for competitions. He always worked hard and even when activity was low, He tried his best to help maintain activity. I could tell him to go do something and he would have it done by the end of the week. I never once had to tell him twice. As Quaestor of House Marka Ragnos I am proud and honored to see him promoted. Congratulations Aul on your well deserved promotion!

Owly has earned a name for himself in the Clan. Working up and taking charge of the Battleteam Shadow's Bane before heading across to our sister house taking up the mantle of BTL.

He is a hard worker, having set out to achieve the best of what he can. Second in the Journeyman Tourney and First place in shattered ties.

His hard work is a credit to him and his House and it is a pleasure to put my recomendation in.

Primary reason

Lilith Alema'rha Versea-Stormwind has been an extremely pleasant person to see rising the ranks of the Brotherhood. She entered the club seven months ago, two weeks before I became Quaestor of Shar Dakhan. The amount of affection she gets from fellow members in our Telegram shows she is a well respected member. It is always with great pleasure to see her interact with members and share her stories. She is also a wonderful person to talk to and is definitely one of the most respected members within our Clan. I am extremely humbled and honored to write this request for her promotion to the Equite ranks.

Since her last recognition four months ago, Lilith has partaken in thirty-five competitions which amounts to a little over two competitions per week, blowing away the opposition and earning an impressive stack of crescents. The Ruby, Amethyst, three Sapphire and two Topaz crescents earned show she has what it takes to grab the Brotherhood by the horns and tell them who is boss, all whilst staying classy! Her tenacity and strive to compete like this is an amazing tribute to how she feels about the Club, the Clan and her fellow members. Lilith is always there for us, and proves to us that she is a dependable and reliable members.

For example, of those thirty-five competitions, nine of them were for the CNS/CSP Feud. Of those nine entries, she had one third place finish, and a sixth place finish. Her participation and placements helped to close the gap and ensure CNS stayed in the race. Having taken the time from her busy summer Ren Faire schedule and help out her Clan when it needed her the most is what I like about Lilith so much. All you have to do is ask for her support and she is ready for her Clan. I hope she realizes just how important she is to all of us in Naga Sadow.

Before being whisked away to the Fair, Lilith did a healthy amount of gaming. It's great to see a member who enjoys playing Pazaak, since that is rare on itself. Lilith will happily play pazaak with you anywhere, anytime, anyday. And she will crush you. With her recent introduction to Jedi Academy, Lilith has been seen gaming away and enjoying this particular aspect of the club alongside Clan members. In total she has played a mix of twenty-two Pazaak and Jedi Academy matches, earning herself an impressive one-hundred and thirty Clusters of Fire! She has also earned twenty-five Clusters of Earth for various entries to mobile and flash game competitions.

The Shadow Academy has been graced with her presence, seeing her complete one course and earning a Dark Maven- Writing and a Dark Maven- Writing and Philosophy!

Finally, this all round member has dabbled in some fiction, earning six Clusters of Ice for participation in four fiction activities, for which she has written a total of one-thousand-nine-hundred and fifty-six words, and one-thousand-one-hundred and forty-three words in Run-Ons spread out over three posts!

Welcome to the Equite ranks Lilith! You have definitely deserved it and we hope to see you back in full swing once things have calmed down!

Additional reasons

Since joining us, Lilith has been a quiet, yet solidly dependable member. Her advancement to Knighthood was swift and representative of what she is capable of. Since her Knighting, Lilith has continued to participate in competitions and be one of our few gamers.

I never have issues with Lilith, in fact, I wish more members were like her. Lilith never complains, she never causes trouble. She's a perfect member. Her hard work has contributed to the high level of activity in HSD and CNS as a whole.

When it came to supporting her Clan, Lilith accepted the call to arms with Shattered Ties and participated in 9 of 17 competitions available. Even though CNS would end up losing, we would have lost by a lot more points without members like Lilith who gave up their valuable free time to participate.

Darkblade has talked about what Lilith has done since being knighted. I can only hope that she continues to do what she does best as one of our Equites.

Congratulations, Lilith.

For some members the end of their journey seems to occur around the time they attain their Knight status. Some get hooked up on the lack of a checklist, or discouraged by the longer times between promotions. Thankfully this does not appear to have been the case for my former apprentice. Since his promotion to Knight, despite keeping busy in real life with the Faire, he has continued to march forward. Merely filling a space has not been enough for Firith'rar J. Versea-Stormwind. He has continued to self-improve, seeking out help to grow as a writer and never being afraid to seek feedback.

His passion and desire for excellence shine through in everything he does, and I can earnestly and honestly say I am excited to see what else that my former apprentice can bring to the table. Over the course of the last five months, Firith'rar has managed to gather a nice little trove of shinies in recognition of his work. Shortly after his promotion, he was able to earn a Dark Cross, and he has continued striving for excellence as he completed in 49 competitions and organized 3 more himself. His work has netted him 2 Crescents with Ruby Star, 1 Crescent with Amethyst Star, 5 Crescents with Sapphire Star, 3 Crescents with Emerald Star and another 2 Crescents with Topaz Star. This means for every 4 competitions he has participated in, he places in at least one on average. I find that at least a wee bit impressive!

As I mentioned above, my former apprentice has tried to improve, including further diversifying his skill-sets. While not seeming as natural a gamer as some, Firith has still found time to sharpen himself. He has managed to earn 2 Pendants of Blood, 198 Clusters of Fire and a decent 30 Clusters of Earth. Even with the 36 PVP matches and his singular PVE activity I am quite glad to see that Firith has not let his writing slide aside. He has managed to participated in 10 fiction activities, writing up 11706 words of fiction. To put this in perspective he has averaged almost 1,200 words a fiction, no minor feat. He has also taken part in 2 Runons, writing up 3 RO posts for a word count of 1901. So for the 13607 total words he has written up, he has managed to earn 19 Clusters of Ice! Even despite his work, he continues to consult with myself and others to ensure the quality of his writing does to falter, and that he continues to improve. I find this drive admirable.

As time has carried on, it has been a pleasure to see Firith'rar pushing forward and pushing onward. His tenacity is admirable, and I hope it will carry him to great things. He is a valued part of the Clan and I hope he will prove himself further as he steps up to take a place amongst our Equites. Congratulations, Firith'rar my friend! Take your place as a new Mystic, and I hope you enjoy the robes, weapons, and abilities that accompany your new rank. :D

Additional reasons

Firith is a firebrand. He's noisy, brash and full of anger. He uses that in his competition entries and is full of passion for the Clan and the Brotherhood. Nary a day goes by without Firith asking questions about the Club and the Clan's position within it.

Firith has certainly grown since joining us. He's become calmer, wiser and continues to show his passion. He genuinely worries that he's let down the team when he doesn't win a competition. He apologises for not being good enough. I can only hope that he comes to realise that he doesn't have to apologise for participating and contributing. Instead, I hope he comes to know how much we value his presence in the Clan and continues his personal drive to be the best he can be as one of our Equites.

Congratulations, Firith!

Proconsul of Naga Sadow

Professor Sanguinius Tsucyra Entar, 2016-08-10 23:15:10 UTC

Firith'rar has become a solid and reliable member within CNS. Always looking to better himself by asking for feedback on submitted entries, he has shown a fervor to better understand how the Brotherhood works and what it looks for in its members.

I would particularly like to thank him for his efforts in the CNS/CSP Feud. His efforts were well rewarded with a glorious role in the final fiction presented to the Clan.

I hope he continues down this path towards his goal to become an even better member. It is with great enthusiasm that I continue to watch Firith's ascent through the Brotherhood ranks.

Welcome to the Equite's Firith'rar! Enjoy the new perks and dossier candy!

Blackhawk is one of our most dedicated members. He's serving as BTS of Grey Wolf, constantly brainstorming with others to improve the battleteam. Constantly recommending members to be active.

His own activity is something I'd like his Master, Solas Night-Thorn, to inform you about.

Blackhawk has spent over a hundred days at his current rank, now while some might see this as a dig at my apprentice, I see it as a great example of Blackhawk's dedication. He is a constant presence on Telegram and the Brotherhood site. In the time since he became an Acolyte he's participated in fourteen competitions, and earned himself a Crescent with Topaz Star, five Clusters of Ice and Earth respectively, and most significantly he earned himself his first Merit award in the form a Dark Cross. And above all he continues to make me a proud master with everything he does. Congrats to you Hunter Blackhawk.
