Knighthood is the final step on the path of any journeyman, and Vanessa has now cleared all the required gateways for elevation to the penultimate Journeyman Rank. Over the past year, Vanessa has diligently worked to knock down all of her knighthood requirements, all while balancing her club activities with an incredibly busy personal life.
Since her promotion to Hunter in July of 2015, Vanessa has earned two merit awards (Anteian Cross and Dark Cross), a handful of competition crescents (two Amethyst, two Sapphire, one Emerald, and one Topaz), Earned 25 Clusters of Fire and 10 Clusters of Earth, Co-organized a competition, and participated in 34.
Vanessa is one of Plagueis' best members, always taking part in clan conversations and giving her absolute best in events, whenever and however she can. It is my honor and privilege to recommend her for promotion to the rank of Knight.
Congratulations Vanessa!

The time has come to recognize one of Scholae Palatinae’s most relentless and persistent members. As Blade Ta’var continues to grow as a member and leader, she has reached the point where she is ready to advance on to the Equite ranks.
Blade joined us earlier in the year, and quickly established herself as a dedicated and highly skilled member. In the four months since she was promoted to Knight, she has served faithfully as the Aedile for House Imperium, been an active participant in helping the members of her house grow and learn, and did all of this while leading from the front lines. She has participated in some 28 total competitions. This has earned her 5 Diamond, 2 Ruby, 4 Amethyst, and 2 Emerald Stars. These competitions include the GM PVP Invitational Tournament, where she finished in a tied fourth place with Delak after crushing her opponents in JA. It includes the recently Journeyman ACC Tournament where she finished first. Blade has earned 7 Pendants of Blood, 429 Clusters of Fire, and 20 Clusters of Ice.
But she doesn’t just participate at a high level of skill and wide set of events. She helps her fellow members. She has taken to running practice JA lessons outside of any competitions or cluster gain to help several members get better at the game. She has an insightful look at what helps members, as demonstrated by her constant follow up with her members of Imperium. If there is something to be cheered on, advice given, support needed, Blade is there.
All in all, Blade is the definition of what we love to see in a member. Driven, dedicated, and devoted to the club. Whether it be as a member or as a leader Blade kicks some major ass. I hereby recommend she be promoted to the rank of Warrior. Congratulations Blade, Drinks are on you!

You will be hard pressed to find a member more active, involved or devoted than Blade Ta’var. It seems like every other day this one breaks through one threshold or another. One day, it's a promotion in Inquisitorius ranks. The next she has gained Dark Maven in leadership. Yet, I’m never surprised. Truth is, that is simply the kind of person that she is, someone who excels, and her most recent victory in the ACC Journeyman Tournament illustrates this perfectly. It mattered very little that she had not fought a single match beforehand. When Blade Ta’var sets her mind to something, you know that spectacular results ensue.
Time and again this member shines, and time and again she proves that she belongs in the Equite ranks.
Rise, Warrior and raise your lightsaber. Great things await.

Blade Ta’var. From the moment I had first heard of her coming to Scholae Palatinae, I was already under the impression that she would be a force to be reckoned with…and might have possible schemes to take over leadership one day. It didn’t take long for me to welcome her as another great addition to the Clan. After some time had passed, rumors of her scheming were proved true as she applied for and was appointed to her current position as Aedile of Imperium. Whether it was as a normal member, of as part of Scholae’s summit, she has proven herself to be friendly, a hard worker, and dedicated to helping others in whatever way she can. These are great qualities to have, and even more so for someone in a leadership position.
The most recent example of this has been in the form of the creation of JA training sessions. She even managed to rope me into participating in some lessons; this is no easy feat, as I’m often loath to attempt gaming ever since my promotion to Knight. But even so, she convinced me to give it a try again. I still don’t feel like I’m any good and haven’t noticed any improvement, but she says I have and that’s enough for me. To put it simply, Blade is a JA force of nature – best to either get out of the way, or offer as little resistance as possible.
I won’t list all of her impressive accomplishments with medals, SA courses, or anything like that; others will have that covered, I’m sure. From what I’ve seen Blade do in working with others, as well as when she’s taken the time to work with me, she is more than ready to take the next step up in the Brotherhood ranks to join the Equites. She’s not afraid of trying out new things, can get along with just about anyone, and she is not afraid to get her hands dirty and help with things that some members may find a bit intimidating or hard to do (in my case, character development) – she’s eager to help out whenever she can, and takes the time to verbalize her willingness. It has been a great experience to see a new member of the Clan turn into exactly what we all hope each new member of the Brotherhood will become one day. I’m sure that, given enough time, there’s no limit to where Blade can go from here. However, it is my hope that she stays in Scholae, where she has been welcomed with open arms as a member of our crazy, eclectic family for quite some time now. Congratulations, Blade, and welcome to the Equites! You’ve worked hard and certainly deserve this. Shots of Rancor Tequila are on you!

When i advertised for an Aedile back in February, I wanted someone who could motivate the masses, be a mentor to the members and still provide a shining example of top-quality submissions to activity. I chose Blade because she brought up solid ideas to the table on her application, and best of all she followed them through. For the next four months of serving with me in this leadership job, Blade hit the ground running and stuck her fingers into every problem with had with due diligence. She approached the members and discussed their problems with them, she worked her soul off on the fictional background of this house, she provided weekly content of competitions, gaming and other activities for members to enjoy. She even coerced members with little motivation to take part, improving themselves and enjoying it in the process. In short, as a leader, Blade produce and improved the results from House Imperium. It is her natural talent, and one we sourly needed.
Blade's primary skills have always been her gaming, especially in the realms of Jedi Academy. She approached me with this idea of creating a Clan or Class-system, in order to teach the members of the clan how to duel in JA properly. This meant teaching members the ideal dueling movements, strokes, jumps, timing mechanisms, perception to weak spots, handy control features and the varied lightsaber styles. This is a tough grind, even for me it is a a soul-crushing task, but with her persona and idea of making titles awarded, organising fun games in JA, and sharing screenshots of her activities in the game, it has attracted the right crowd of students and teachers to her expending classes. Blade is a teacher through many skills, even transferable from gaming itself. As she continues to teach members into believing in themselves. Naturally Blade is also a student in many areas.
With her help, I was able to organise and fairly judge two competitions and give the correct members crescents. In this instance, when I was poorly, she took the initiative and decided to judge our competitions to the members who deservedly won, and I firmly believe her judgement is correct.
Conclusively, Blade is a genuine powerhouse of talent, activity and leadership desperately needed for our summit. As we continue to strengthen our skills and develop more, I am sure Blade will reside for longer and become a very qualified Clan leader someday, despite innately being one presently. She is more than deserving of this promotion, and I for one am truly proud to see my student rise to the Equite ranks.
Congratulations Blade!! The Rancor Tequila is on you!!

Blade Ta'var has demonstrated that she belongs in the ranks of the Equites. Her consistent drive as a competitor encourages those around her to strive for more, and sets the bar for what member activity should look like. She has already accomplished more in a short time and with daily consistence than higher ranking members in the organization.
Beyond her leadership in Clan Scholae Palatinae as an Aedile, and her general activity as a member, she recently showed her prowess as she won the Jedi Knight bracket, and was a finalist in the Grand Master's Gaming Tourney. Blade did not stop there, and was one of the first people to sign up for the Journeyman Tourney. Her enthusiasm and eagerness to try out a new platform was on display as she wowed the judges right out of the gate with her first match. It's rare in the DB for a member to access at two separate platforms, but Blade was able to weave her way to victory in the Tournament, taking home the honor of Journeyman Champion of the ACC.
Blade engaged in 4 full fights (2 posts each fight) in the Journeyman Tourney. She never advanced by timeout and only did so by the skill of her writing. She finished with 8 posts @ 7,162 words total of competitive fiction.
If this were a War, we'd be talking about Battlefield Promotions for Blade's success. Since it's not, we instead talk about a promotion for one of the most active members in the Dark Jedi Brotherhood across multiple platforms. She games, she writes, she leads and she communicates with her clanmates and others. She challenges and drives members from other units to compete as well.
Congratulations, Blade. It's really been amazing watching you grow so quickly as a member over the past few months of knowing you. Keep up the great work.

Blade has always been a big help to me and others. She strives for the best in herself and in her people. I have the utmost respect for Blade and the work she has done for Imperium and for the standout she has become for CSP. She makes us a force to be reckoned with and it shows each and everyday. Not once have I ever had and issue with getting in touch with her for any circumstances. Very well deserved.
Tribune Kanal O'neill, 2016-06-20 23:35:01 UTC
Blade Ta'var is more than worthy of a promotion to the equite ranks. It is very rare to see a member combine such a high level of activity with an incredible amount of talent and community contribution. Everything Blade does is always of the very highest quality. Her recent victory in the ACC Journeyman tournament is proof she has surpassed all others of her rank, with posts that were invariably of excellent quality. In gaming, Blade was the only Journeyman to reach the top four of the Grand Master's Gaming Tournament competition, and is almost invincible when it comes to Jedi Academy. Blade has also taken considerable time to pass her skills to her clanmates, in addition to performing a wonderful job in her duties as Aedile.
There is not a single position in this club that I would consider beyond Blade. She has the writing skills of a Voice or Combat Master, the gaming skills of a Fist and the teaching skills of a Head Master. For now, congratulations on joining the equite ranks!

It's only been 3 months ago that Lucifer Romanov joined us, at that point he immidiatly started climbing up the ranks and making a name for himself. Lucifer truly is Tarentum's fastest growing and most active member, which is proven by the 3 merit awards he already has on record.
Certain requirements are needed to be granted the rank of Knight, this Hunter simply crushed those. While participating in 76 competitions Lucifer earned 19 Crescents, of all kinds. This excellent gamer worked himself up in the GMRG, with 675 CEs and 7 PoBs. His writing skills are equal to his gaming skills and earned him 7CIs.
You've shown me you have the character of a Knight from the day you joined us. I'm proud that now you're given the name to go with it... Knight Lucifer Romanov!

If there's a word to describe Hunter Lucifer Romanov that would be BEAST! He's a beast in every portion of the Club that he touches. He's serial competitor, having more competitions under his belt that anyone else I can remember in recent history. He's a gamer and a writer, he's good in the Shadow Academy. He's already bagged himself three Merit Awards for his valiant efforts. With a master like Darth Aeternus at his side he is an unstoppable force.
If every Tarenti was like Lucifer, Tarentum would be the number one clan. Tarentum is lucky to have him. I personally look forward to see what the future will bring for Lucifer.
It is my honor to have been a part of your early career. Rise Knight Lucifer Romanov!
Frosty Romanae Tarentae, 2016-06-17 08:35:24 UTC
I am fully expecting Lucifer to make a name for himself in the DJB in the coming time. Already he has shown himself quite eager to do whatever comes his way, be that competitions, applying for various positions, or Shadow Academy exams. But for now, he has reached the point where he stops being a journeyman, and where he starts working towards being an Equite. There, he will still have my guidance, but I will not be surprised if one day I don't adress his as a student, but as an equal.
Rise now as a knight, Lucifer!

Marcus is a member who has been extremely important to Naga Sadow's success over the past year, and especially in the past seven months since his previous elevation. During that time, he has served distinctly as the Clan's Rollmaster, while also serving as a Shadow Academy Professor and, more recently, as Praetor to the Headmaster. While performing both duties, he has also continued to be a steadily active member.
As Rollmaster, Marcus has continued to manage Sadow's Master/Student program, using a form to pair Students with Masters who are interested in similar activities in the club. He has adjusted and updated this form as time goes on, based on feedback. He has also kept up with our pairings and made sure that the masters routinely report in. This has ensured that everyone has properly kept up with their students and are helping them advance well. Marcus' efforts have helped seven students reach Knighthood (or the equivalent) over his time in the position since his last elevation.
Marcus has also brought more recognition to our Journeymen in a couple of ways. First, he has consistently given special recognition in his reports. He would choose a Journeyman who had done particularly well and give them a special callout in their own section. In addition, Marcus distinctly expanded Journeyman promotions from just a single rec to the Rollmaster, Master, and members of their House's Summit. He took the initiative to examine how this was working out in other Clans and brought it to Naga Sadow as a clear process, rather than just something like "hey let's do this." While these recs are not required, it was found that they had a positive impact on the members' excitement about getting promoted.
In addition to the above roles, Marcus has also been a key member of the Naga Sadow Summit and a great mediator in conflicts. He is always honest with his opinion, and is able to point out where something might not work or where it would work well. He has been able to mediate disputes and issues with members, and gives me the sense that he is really approachable to our membership. This has allowed a lot of things to be worked out before they could become much bigger issues. Finally, Marcus helps in ways that many others cannot, by quickly and efficiently producing spreadsheets, polls, and charts for the Clan. One case that exemplifies this is that we typically request Marcus write a poll and results sheet after each event we run, and he is able to quickly produce these.
On the general participation front, Marcus is no slouch. He's completed a total of 31 competitions, for which he has earned nine Crescents, including two Ruby, five Amethyst, and two Sapphire. He has also earned a Pendant of Blood, 80 Clusters of Fire, 9 of Ice, and 76 of Earth. He has also earned 16 Scrolls of Foundation for work on the Shadow Academy, and graded 312 courses, while passing eight courses and earning two degrees himself. He has also earned a Grand Cross, for many of the things mentioned above.
He has also organized or co-organized 15 competitions. Many of these are included in the event: "Operation: Firestorm." In this event, Marcus was one of the three main judges. He assisted in judging the 13 sub-competitions, especially proving helpful with the Run-Ons and Fictions. This included 37 entries of fiction work and 58,621 total words of fiction to read and judge. Marcus also helped plan the plot and coordinate the design of the entire event, which resulted in 20 participants, who made 92 total entries throughout all competitions.
Overall, it has been an amazing experience to have Marcus has Rollmaster of Naga Sadow, and filling his shoes will be difficult. I look forward to continuing to work with Marcus as a member as he moves on to focus his work on the Shadow Academy as Praetor.
Congratulations Marcus, on your promotion to Equite II!

Hmm, what to say about my former Master…
Marcus is the kind of person who will push you past your limits to help you go above and beyond what you thought you were capable of. He can be tough, driving master, but he sees the potential a person has and tries to cultivate and bring it out to where they can see it and continue to thrive. When I first started, he was the first person to approach and work with me. Because of him, I have gone further in my training and leadership to become the Quaestor of Marka Ragnos. He is always willing to help and if you let him, he can show you what you are capable of and how to work through weak points. He's an awesome guy and I am pleased to see him get promoted. Tasha'Vel Versea, 2016-06-08 20:23:00 UTC
Marcus has had a massive impact on Naga Sadow during his term as Rollmaster. He has been a major part of our summit push towards our current fictional development. He has assisted in running Clan events and has jumped at the chance to serve members outside of the Clan through the Shadow Academy, first as Professor of Core Studies and then Praetor. Locke speaks of Marcus' achievements and I speak about the man. Marcus is a driven individual who has given Locke and I major headaches in the past, as he is not a yes man. Marcus will argue and argue because he wants the best for the Clan and the Brotherhood. He ensures that we completely study the problem/issue/change and its effects before we do anything. I'm thankful that Marcus has spent the past few months as our Rollmaster. Our Journeymen have been well looked after by him and I'm sad to lose him. For his hard work, dedication to the Clan and Brotherhood, I'm pleased to see Marcus raised to the rank of Savant.
Congratulations, Marcus. I hate you with a passion that can only be matched by the blazing inferno of our sun. <333 You've made me proud, despite being super annoying. Go enjoy yourself and fiddle with your CS.

Professor Sanguinius Tsucyra Entar, 2016-06-08 22:36:01 UTC
I'm not sure it's possible to have a better Praetor than I do in Marcus, end of story. In the little less than a month since I hired him, he's almost single-handedly coded the notes and/or exams for the three new courses we've launched (with more very soon on the way), he's taken Ood's direction to finish the creation of the GDrive organizational structure we're using for course backups and creation, and begun the audit of his assigned courses. To say he dove in upon being hired is an absolute understatement.
Hiring Marcus as my Praetor was the best idea I've had so far in my short time on the job as Headmaster, and is likely to remain my best idea for quite some time. Our efforts to audit, organize, and modernize the Shadow Academy will succeed in a large part because of his efforts. I'm happy to add my voice to those calling for his promotion. Thank you, Marcus, for all you've done and continue to do... and congrats!

It's sad to see Marcus leave as Rollmaster, he has paired me with two very good apprentices, as well as numerous other members. His Master/Student program worked out very well and I believe he put a lot of work into finding suitable matches. I hope this promotion shows everyone's gratitude for your hard work these past several months.
Quaestor of Shar Dakhan
Grand Inquisitor Morax Darkblade, 2016-06-09 12:54:47 UTC
Marcus is one of the Brotherhood's rising stars. When I hired him as CORE professor, he made an immediate and important impact on the Shadow Academy by rewriting the CORE courses to reflect the new Path/Order system. Solely on the strength of those five new CORE exams, Marcus came very close to leading the SA staff in exams graded by the end of my tenure as Headmaster. Along the way, he also continued to revise and edit his courses and exams, and to work with the Voice on modernizing the DJB Wiki Order pages -- experience that he also carried back to his CORE courses, further improving them.
I've now watched him enter the big leagues as Farrin's first praetor, and I am impressed. Without a doubt, Marcus, you have earned this promotion and more. Congratulations!
Lord Dacien Victae, 2016-06-09 14:43:52 UTC
Marcus has quite frankly been the best Rollmaster that I have yet seen in this Clan. He is on top of his duties, prompt, responds to requests and emails quickly, and genuinely cares about his charges. I wish we had ten of him. He is a model of service work, helping in the Shadow Academy as well as organizing many competitions. He has paired me with an Apprentice that fits well and that is one of his strengths- finding the right “fit”. I’m truly sad to see us lose him as Rollmaster but look forward to his work as Praetor. He leaves some very big boots to fill. You have more than earned this promotion, Marcus. Congratulations on achieving Equite III.
