Primary reason

Some people dance around the requirements for advancement in the Equite ranks. Others bulldoze their way through written and unwritten requirements with tenacity, zeal, and flair. Ernordeth Puer-Irae is someone that has become a tour de force in the both the Arcona and the Brotherhood community. For this, I eagerly submit him for elevation into the upper echelons of the Equite ranks.

Since his last elevation, Ernordeth has collected a myriad of awards: an Amethyst Kukri, two Steel Crosses, twenty one crescents (2 Cr-D, 4 Cr-R, 2 Cr-A, 4 Cr-S, 6 Cr-E, 1 Cr-T, 2 Cr-Q), seventeen (17) Pendants of Blood, 1832 Clusters of Fire, 4007 Clusters of Earth, that is 17 PvP Matches & 649 PvE Activities, and six (6) Scrolls of Foundation. All of this was attained through his participation in eighty five (85) submissions to competitions since his last elevation.

In addition to outstanding personal activity, he has been a bastion of leadership to Arcona and the Brotherhood at large. He served the past ten months as Praetor: FIST; for his work, he received an Amethyst Kukri from Valhavoc. He served an additional two months as Magistrate: FIST before that. He served the Shadow Academy in two different stints as a Docent for a total of five months; which our Praetor: Head Master will comment on below. During his time in Arcona, he has also held the positions of Battle Team Sergeant, Battle Team Leader, and Aedile for a total of five months cumulative leadership at the Clan level. He did not stop there, however, serving both as a Magistrate: Grand Master for three months and a Recruitment Staff Member for a month.

For exceptional activity over the past year, I recommend Ernordeth for advancement to the rank of Third Tier Equite. Congratulations. An award well earned.

Additional reasons

What does one say about the being that is Ernordeth? He’s extremely active in the realm of gaming and has begun breaking out of his comfort zone again to do other kinds of competitions. His Telegram presence is one of the most consistent amongst the Clan and one of the most unique by far. He requested placement in the Nighthawk team about a month into myself taking over as team leader and I’ve not regretted his joining once since then. Ernor’s competitive nature and drive has lead to a friendly rivalry with several of his fellow members that has lead to an explosion of gaming activity from the team and Arcona overall. I’m proud of what he’s achieved and look forward to what he does next.

I’m also proud to say he’s been an active and capable member of the Clan even while doing his Praetor Fisting duties, never neglecting his duties in the team either. Ernor, you deserve this, it’s nice to see it happen mate.

Kordath Bleu Rollmaster, Clan Arcona

General Stres'tron'garmis, 2015-12-03 00:38:58 UTC

Ernordeth and I joined the Brotherhood quite literally moments apart -13560 and 13561. Though we began in different Clans, he and I have known one another since the first few weeks of joining the Brotherhood. We raced to Dark Jedi Knight, we became Magistrates to the Fist, and then leaders within Arcona. Ernordeth has consistently ensured that he raised the stakes and kept me on my toes as I chased his success. Considering the amount the level he has garnered, it will be some time before I could hope to catch up to him.

Others have spoken of his activity, of the awards he has accrued and positions held. I would rather speak to Ernordeth’s impact as a member of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. He is nearly always available to answer questions both internally within Arcona and in his larger role as Praetor to the Fist. When there is any question as to the contents of a competition, of how to accomplish something, or just general ideas for how to help members remain active, Ernordeth never hesitates to offer suggestion.

Though he is a leader in title, he is also a leader in action. Helping throughout the last year to train and build members to be able to participate in events for Destiny, Battlefront, partake in Flash Games hosted by the Fist’s Office, etc. His actions have led to more promotions and awards than many members could ever claim, simply by being willing to work with others to build their own success within the Club.

For your help to the Brotherhood at large, your aid in building Arcona and finally setting the bar for success. I am honored to recommend Ernordeth for promotion to the third tier of the Equites.

Uji Tameike Aedile of Galeres

Fist Uji Tameike, 2015-12-03 00:39:32 UTC

Many voices here have spoken on Ernodeth’s behalf about his competitive activity — gaming and otherwise — his Brotherhood leadership, his extensive FIST-office service, and his constant chatter and availability. I would like to touch, just a moment, on how his attitude and work ethic influence each of these things, and how they make him a member that truly gives back to the club and deserves another Equite rank.

Ernordeth is an unceasing positive force. The guy is like inertia — you cannot stop him once he gets moving (or at least, you’re very hard pressed). He is passionate and believes in making the people around him laugh, relax, and have fun. He is passionate about other people being passionate. And it is this that bleeds into all his gaming with other members of the Brotherhood, his extremely eager FIST staff ministrations, and his interaction with the club as a whole. When even the smallest bit of exciting Star Wars or Battlefront news pops up, when he finds something he knows will engage and delight other members, when that next Gaming Update goes up, whatever it is, he shares it (usually to every channel he’s in). When someone has a gaming question or curiosity, he’s the first person people go to and the first to answer. When a member is looking to engage, he chatters, befriends and pushes them towards the latest competitions or a round of Destiny with others.

Lots of solid numbers do a good member make, but it is the attitude behind those figures that make great ones. Ernor has that bright attitude and community-driven mindset that makes him excellent. Congratulations, Battlelord.

Atyiru Caesura Entar Consul of Clan Arcona

Golden Envoy Abbey Atty Attiter Ann, 2015-12-03 00:41:51 UTC

I first became aware of Ernordeth in late July of 2014 when Headmaster Solari and myself decided he was the best applicant for the position of Docent overseeing the DJBWiki courses. He resigned from this post in february 2015 - having served with honour and conviction. During this time as grader for these courses, he helped maintain and keep them up to date. He was asked to return to this position until a replacement could be found and served for another week or two before finally retiring.

He resigned from the SA Staff to fully focus on his duties as P:FIST (january 2014) and continues to serve in this capacity. However, this has not hindered his dedication to the Shadow Academy. Ernordeth is generally the person keeping the courses of the Gaming Department up to date and also the driving force behind publishing new courses. He was the principal author of the newest SA course: Gaming 102: Fist-o-matic which went live on the 11th of november 2015.

He has recently returned to us, as the FIST has seen fit to appoint him Docent of all courses relating to gaming in the Shadow Academy.

Overall, Ernordeth is - in my opinion (as P:HM) - a dedicated and hardworking member of this club who has the rare ability to see beyond his own field of expertise. His dedication to his duties as P:FIST have led him to help improve those aspects of the Shadow Academy that border the jurisdiction of the FIST and I honestly believe he is equally active in those parts of the FIST domain that border other areas. His dedication to any task/duty given to him is the principal reason I am recommending he be promoted to the next rank.

Ood Bnar
Praetor: Head Master

Supreme Chancellor Ood Bnar, 2015-12-03 00:40:21 UTC

Ernordeth's contributions as my Praetor have surpassed my expectations. The bulk of his work was covered in the Amethyst Kukri recommendation I had written for him in early October. Since that time Ernor has continued to perform admirably.

In the last two months Ernor's workload has been increased as he took on the responsibility to provide regular Gaming Updates to the Club. In addition we brought in three new Magistrates to the Fist Staff, Ernor took on the task of briefing them their job responsibilities, expectations on how to perform review on Gaming Submissions, and ensuring that regular competitions are being run. The most public of Ernor's contributions was related to the play testing of Battlefront the week prior to its release. He willingly used his limited EA Access time (10 hours max) to run every type of game mode available in the game, provided feedback and recommendations on Cluster values, and then he ran a bunch again to answer questions related to the game.

Ernor performed all the activities related to creating the Gaming Platform, Gaming Activities, and Gaming Activity Modifiers for Battlefront which allow the site to award Clusters after submission. All of this was complete prior to the actual launch date of Battlefront, so members of the Club would be able to begin earning rewards for their game time immediately on November 17th.

Overall Ernor has consistently performed above his current rank of Battlemaster and in my opinion has more than earned this promotion to Battlelord. Congratulations Ernor! Keep up the great work you've done for the gamers of the Club!

Every so often, a member of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood comes along who simply amazes their leaders and peers with their dedication to the club. These members are engaged and committed to making the DJB better through their actions. They participate in clan-level and club-wide activities, they take on leadership responsibilities, and they take on other projects to give back to the club we all hold so dear. Kelly Mendes is one of those members. Over the past five months, Kelly has put up some absolutely staggering statistics that make her an excellent candidate for elevation to the Equite ranks.

Since her elevation to knighthood five months ago, Kelly has been an unstoppable force in terms of activity. She has recieved a staggering thirteen crescents for excellence in competitions, three pendants of blood, 172 Clusters of Fire, seven Clusters of Ice, and ten Clusters of Earth. On top of that, she has recieved a Scroll of Indoctrination for recruiting new members, a Scroll of Foundation for updating the Essentials: 4 course in the Shadow Academy, and two Steel Crosses for her actions as a leader and during the recent Plagueis/Tarentum Forged Alliances cooperative event.

These numbers are justification enough for elevation to the Equite ranks, but where Kelly truly shines is in her leadership abilities. Kelly has held a leadership position ever since her elevation to Knighthood. Starting out as the BTL for the Apostles of Syn, Kelly rallied the Journeymen under her charge to come out in force and compete in Clan-level events. Her efforts paid off, with the Apostles of Syn putting up some amazing numbers in clan competitions, both during and after her tenure as the BTL. As a result of her demonstrated ability to lead, I requested that she be assigned as my Aedile upon my assumption of the duties of Quaestor of House Ajunta Pall. Hands down, I couldn't have made a better request! Kelly helped me to organize six house-level competition events to help bridge the gap between the Restoration and Forged Alliances events. Kelly actively worked to get both the Journeymen and Equite members of the house involved, even holding down the BTL position while I hunted for someone to fill the void. The three months that Kelly served as my second-in-command showed me that she has the innate ability to lead at any level. When Jai'de stepped down as Rollmaster and Callus stepped down as House Karness Muur Quaestor, I pressed Kelly to apply for both positions. The Clan summit saw her potential, and she was selected to serve as the newest Rollmaster for Clan Plagueis!

Kelly Mendes personifies the absolute best that this club has to offer. She is one of the shining stars of Clan Plagueis, and I know that she will continue to go far. In view of her qualities and her demonstrated potential for positions of increased responsibility, I strongly recommend her for promotion to the grade Equite 1. Congratulations, Kelly! You have earned this!

Master Dracaryis, 2015-12-01 19:14:23 UTC
Additional reasons

Kelly is activity, plain and simple. She’s been an absolute bastion of Plagueis activity since the conclusion of our Restoration event this summer. Kelly is leadership, having spent every single day since her last promotion in June serving in leadership. She’s mentored new joins directly as a Battleteam Leader, she’s learned how to be an all around leader as an Aedile, and now she’s putting both skills together with her ascension to Rollmaster. I’ve spent my entire time on the summit being constantly impressed by all the things Kelly does each and every day to make the Brotherhood, and our little corner of it in Plagueis, better. If I had ten Kellys, I think Plagueis would be one of the most successful units I’ve ever seen. Since I don’t have ten of her, however, I’ll “merely” have to settle for promoting the one I am lucky to have into the ranks of the Equites. Great work, Kelly!

Master Selika Roh di Plagia, 2015-11-30 22:46:54 UTC

Since coming into Plagueis when she joined the Dark Brotherhood, Kelly has been an amazing superstar. Her pro-activity, can-do attitude, and willingness to seek out projects, help people, and stay active are the markers of what Plagueis looks for in not only its equites but also its leaders. Kellys activity since joining Plagueis has been stellar and consistent. I can say without a doubt that her numbers reflect well on her as they should. Co-joining her activity and prerequisites for the equites is the reflection of her ascension in the leadership of Plagueis. In five short months, Kelly has barreled through the leadership of Plagueis from battleteam leader, to aedile, now sitting as rollmaster. Her time as battleteam leader was successful, constantly contacting and keeping in touch with the journeymen under her supervision and fulfilling the duties that were asked of her and then some. As aedile she helped guide Ajunta Pall's activity in the Forged Alliances event while having great participation (and winning comps!) herself. I can only look forward to how she'll be as my rollmaster - my equite rollmaster - in the future.

Teylas Ramar, 2015-11-30 22:20:02 UTC

Kelly has served admirably as an MAA Magistrate over the past three months, processing requests quickly and intelligently while never hesitating to ask questions when she is unsure. Introduction to MAA work can be mind opening - one’s perspective of recognition expands to all units. I know Kelly is learning a lot from her experience and interaction both with other unit leaders and the DC staff environment. As shown in the other write ups, she is applying this knowledge to your unit leadership in exceptional fashion. Well done, Kelly; I look forward to our remaining months together!

With his recent return to the Dark Jedi Brotherhood Chizz has picked up gaming again with fellow Diablo 3 players and started to immerse himself in the community. Despite his rocky start Chizz has decided to give back to the community and it is with great pleasure that I recommend Chizz for promotion to Acolyte based on the following achievements:

He has helped Organize 2 competitions and participated in 5 of them. He has an approved character sheet, reached GMRG and Shadow Academy rank 2. He has spent the required time in rank whilst earning at least 40 Clusters of Earth. Finally Chizz has been seen to hang around on IRC and chat with a few members.

Welcome back to the Brotherhood and I hope to see more from you in the future!

Master Selika Roh di Plagia
Old Rank
Equite 3
New Rank
Equite 4
Requested by
Grand Master Declan Roark
Primary reason

Battlelord Selika Roh di Plagia is without a doubt one of the Dark Brotherhood's most active and dedicated members. Selika is driven to excel in nearly every facet of our club and has succeeded in achieving near unparalled success. A key leader and mentor in Plagueis, check. A staff member who provides services and guidance to our entire membership, check. A writer who excels at creating entertainment for members and also excelling in our competitions, check. A gamer who challenges even the might GM in clusters, check. Selika has done it all, does it all, and will no doubt continue to do it all.

Outside of the objective numbers that will be covered in excruciating detail below, there is a very subjective metric that I truly believe separates members who near the rarefied air of EQ4 and above. This subjective metric can be summed up simply, the will to improve our club. Selika has this will. He wants to find areas of the Dark Brotherhood that need improvement and then determine the best ways to make them better. He supported DJB fiction projects without the expectation of award. He volunteered for T:Wii without the expectation of recognition. He served as a mentor to our members, without the glory of positions. Selika wants to make our club a better place and he has done it over a consistent period of time.

It is my honor to lead Selika's EQ4 promotion and my privilege to the be the first to congratulate him on the rank of Warlord.

Grand Master Declan Roark, 2015-12-02 01:24:55 UTC
Additional reasons

I am absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to provide my input towards the recommendation for Selika Roh di Plagia's elevation to Equite 4. Selika (known to most of us Plagueians as Slagar, or more affectionately, "Slags") is quite possibly one of the club's absolute best, and the numbers are there to prove it.

Since his elevation to Equite 3 well over a year ago, Selika has shown that he is a force to be reckoned with in just about all aspects of the Club. An avid gamer, he has participated in over 350 separate gaming activities, garnering a mind-bending 5852 Clusters of Earth, 313 Clusters of Fire, and 13 Pendants of Blood. Because of these numbers, he is always in the running for the highest levels of the Grand Master's Royal Guard. Additionally, he has written over 13,500 words of fiction, earning 27 Clusters of Ice for his efforts. To put that number into perspective, candidates for Masters degrees generally only have to write a 10,000 word thesis. Simply amazing! Selika doesn't just participate in competitions and activities, he wins or comes close to winning everything he competes in. Selika has earned numerous crescents of all levels and types, as well as three novae, two silver and one gold. These numbers are enough to give anyone Dossier envy!

Selika isn't just a consumer in the DJB, he is a producer. In the past year, he has organized or co-organized 42 competitions, most notably the well received Clan Plagueis Restoration event. As Quaestor, he led his house to victory in that same competition, with his house members outscoring House Karness Muur by a nearly 100 point margin.

Over the course of the past year, I have had the fortunate opportunity to work directly with Selika in many different capacities. He was one of the first members of Plagueis to welcome me into the fold, and he guided me through the Journeyman ranks and my first forays into DJB leadership. I was his BTL, then his Aedile, and now I hold the job he left to become Proconsul. Throughout this growth, he has provided calm and measured guidance, and most importantly friendship. I'll make this blunt: Selika is one of the reasons I care as much about this club as I do. He sets an absolutely outstanding example to everyone he deals with, and I couldn't have asked for a better guide and mentor as I continue to learn the ropes in this club. To say he has earned this promotion to EQ4 is a colossal understatement: he deserves this promotion.

Congratulations, friend!

Master Dracaryis, 2015-12-01 05:38:44 UTC

Selika is one of our most remarkable members. As if being one of our most active participants (78 competitions since last promotion!), an active leader (organizing a half dozen competitions and co-organizing more than thirty as QUA and then PCON - as Plagueis members attest in the other reccs, and most skilled members (3 Novae and nearly two dozen crescents) wasn't enough, Selika has now devoted much of his attention to the club as a whole. Selika's Amethyst Kukri exemplifies the kind of member he is - the medal was given not just for his incredible work ethic in his Clan but also his assistance to the Dark Council.

As a Tribune, Selika has done an excellent job in managing the Wiki and overseeing some important changes. Selika has made literally hundreds of Wiki changes since becoming Tribune, but more importantly, Selika has implemented policies in how we handle article names of units to better fit the new way we handle Clans and Houses and has prepared the Wiki for our massive shift in canon. Much of Selika's contributions come as a skilled and thoughtful advisor, considering positions and offering valuable feedback during small-team discussions.

The mark of an Equite is that they make the club a better place. For some, these are small actions, within a Battleteam, a House, or a Clan - activity, leading competitions, and making units more fun and enjoyable. For others, they are Brotherhood-wide actions, taking on positions like Wiki Tribune and making the Wiki a cleaner, better place. For the rare few, they combine incredible dedication at the Clan level with selfless work for the Brotherhood as a whole. Selika is one of those few, and thus, his promotion to Equite 4 is, without a doubt, deserved.

Congratulations, Slags. You deserve it!

~Mav

Telaris "Mav" Cantor, 2015-12-01 19:30:25 UTC

Selika has been, quite literally, a powerhouse driving Plagueis. As a mentor and as proconsul, Selika has pushed everyone in Plagueis to their full potential, and makes them care about Plagueis as a unit more than they ever thought possible. His dedication to the clan cannot be understated, and is shown in everything he does.

When I chose him to be my proconsul I knew I was choosing someone who has been my friend for almost 15 years, but I was also choosing someone I knew had a drive unlike any other to improve the product we provide for our members. With the recent Forged Alliances event with Tarentum, Selika helped coordinate, create, grade, and facilitate many of the events. He’s pushed everyone in Plagueis to participate in not only Forged Alliances but every facet that the Brotherhood offers.

On top of all of this, Selika has been assisting Plagueis in bringing together a successful framework to carve out a future for Plagueis, and most importantly, our future with Episode VII quickly approaching. With major contributions to the ideas Plagueis have been putting into place coming from Selika, I have no doubt that without his assistance we wouldn’t have been ready in time.

The dedication to these major, time-extensive projects, are all examples of the things we look for in upper level equites. I am more than thrilled to write this recommendation for Selika’s promotion to EQ4, which is far more than deserved. Congratulations!
