It is my honor to be recommending Xeipha for promotion to the rank of Dark Jedi Knight. Xeipha has spent 274 days a Jedi Hunter, and has been awarded a Dark Cross. She has earned a Crescent with Topaz star and 6 Pendants of Blood. Xeipha has participated in 20 competitions and has earned 152 Clusters of Fire. Finally Xeipha has written more than 3000 words of master approved character fiction and has assisted Esca and myself on our work with the Mobile application “The Path to Knight” by participating in beta and alpha testing and providing detailed critiques of the work and offering suggestions to improve the overall end user experience.

Xeipha is a prime example of what I hope all Journeymen come to understand. She took her time and went at her own pace and had fun with it, this is what all Journeymen should strive to emulate.

Xephia Let me be the first to congratulate you on earning your Lightsaber. Keep up the good work and soon you will find yourself as an Equite. Arcona Invicta!

Clan Arcona Rollmaster

KAP Mako Henymory

It has been a long journey for a certain Jedi Hunter. One that I felt would never end, but yet, I have been shown the error of my thoughts as Xeipha, commonly known through Arcona as Miya, has finally completed her final task for Knighthood. Not being as much of a Star Wars buff as the rest of us, Miya has still dedicated some time throughout the past year to game with us, write with us, even hangout on G+ Hangouts. Always fun to be around, Miya has shown that she is a very capable writer (that we should try and ‘exploit’) as well as an informed gamer (she’s known as the ‘pain train’ in D3 by some).

I’ll keep this short and sweet, as her actions speak louder than my own words, so Miya, Xeipha, congratulations on completing your journey to Knighthood. It’s been an honor to assist you in these tasks, and I’m proud to see you reach your goals. I also hope to be there if and when you decide to rise even further through the ranks of the Brotherhood. We can’t let a mind like yours go to waste. ;)

Arcia Cortel, Master and Captain of the Nighthawk

As Rollmaster when she originally joined, I handled the earlier half of Xeipha’s training. Even at that early stage, it was clear to me that she, like many of those that I managed to get all the way to Knight, had exactly what it took to reach the coveted rank and earn her lightsaber.

Now, thanks to Arcia & Mako, I am delighted to see that Xeipha, better known as Miya, has checked that final box and will join us on the battlefields with her own lightsaber.

Congrats, Miya. Now time to catch Esca. ;)

Battleteam Leader of Soulfire Striketeam Andrelious

Miya is an incredibly special person. For all that we don’t see her all the time, her legacy is never forgotten. She’s an inspired hard-worker, a bright spirit, and a fantastic jokester. But never let it be said she can’t be serious! Writing Dark Jedi tea parties is serious business, you know.

Honestly though, I’m utterly delighted to see her reach Knighthood. I won’t say too much, because knowing her, I’ve already used too many adjectives. :P Suffice to say that this has been a long time in coming, and though it has taken months, Miya’s persistence has finally paid off. Welcome to the Knight’s ranks, Cass. It’s about time! I mean, uh, you earned it. ;)

Congratulations!

Aedile of House Galeres Atyriu

I found an empty edit bay to hide from my boss in so I could properly write this additional recommendation. That’s how important this is. So here it goes. Give me a second. Deep breath, this could take a minute.

Calvo has been pushing hard the last few months and is more than deserving of this promotion. He competed in five events in the Great Jedi War to go along with five more in the Sphere of Influence event. Between these and other assorted events, he racked up 8 Clusters of Ice, a Crescent and a Dark Cross. He's also been hard at work in the Shadow Academy, passing several leadership courses.

It’s easy to take certain things for granted in the DB. Especially the members who make a very serious commitment to become more than members and serve as leaders. Sight, or Mako as he now goes by, is the Clan Rollmaster of Arcona (encompassing members of both House Qel-Droma and House Galeres), but goes so far beyond his duties overseeing the Journeyman that I almost picture him like a third Quaestor. He is able to flex between both houses with ease, getting along with members and leaders of both. On top of that, he finds a way to be one of Arcona’s most active members.

Since his last promotion to Krath Priest 9 months ago, Sight has earned 2662 CFs, 6 PoBs, competed in 55 competitions, placed 2nd for GMRG 3rd Quarter, and 5th for GMRG 4th Quarter. He added a LoS and a SoI to his belt as well. In Great Jedi War XI, he earned 11 seals and even took home a Gold Novae with a brilliant Multi-Media entry.

For the last 6 months, he has served diligently as Rollmaster, overseeing 4 Dark Jedi Knightings so far. He recently earned a Grand Cross for his efforts, but with plenty of new members coming in as recruits or otherwise, he is still always busy and staying on top of things. I’ve never seen a Journeyman promotion wait for more than an hour or two whenever it showed up. That is dedication, and that is what makes him so much more than just the “Rollmaster.”

Sight deserves this Promotion, and if that fact isn't obvious to you? You’re poodoo.

Congratulations, Sight. Thank you for everything you do for Arcona, both seen and unseen.

Mako can only be referred to as a powerhouse. With his dual role as Clan Rollmaster and member of Nighthawk, arguably one of the most active Battleteams in Arcona, Mako has been one of the driving reasons the Clan and Battleteam succeed as much as they do. I haven’t seen a member as dedicated to his positions as I have with Mako in a long time, and that makes me proud to serve alongside him in the Clan and Battleteam. His drive to ensure that all of the journeyman are well taken care of is near unmatched, as he continuously requests updates from the Masters to verify the training is on course. Furthermore---

You know what, Mako is a damn good RM and Battleteam member. He does his best and has plenty to show for it.

Congratulations, Mako. You’re one step closer to mastery.

Rear Admiral Arcia Cortel, 2015-02-20 21:34:56 UTC

Sight, or Mako as he goes by now, has been a friend of mine since we were both lighties in Odan-Urr. Having come up as members slogging through vendettas and events together, climbing the ranks of GMRG together and serving together as leaders on the Arcona summit I can attest that Sight has one of the best work ethics of any member I have seen. His word is his bond and when he sets his mind to something he gives it his all. Those may sound like trite platitudes but his record bears witness to the truth of my words.

As a Aedile and now Quaestor I’ve had the pleasure of working with Sight in his capacity as Rollmaster. I take pride in taking care of my Journeymen, but Sight is so on top of his game he usually beats me to the punch. He often has promotion recs drafted days in advance, he’s lightning fast with greeting and welcoming new members and on at least one occasion got up in the dark watches of the night to turn in a promo rec when I whatsapp’d him about a member becoming eligible.

Sight is a paragon of what it means to be an Equite and a leader in the Brotherhood. This promotion is a formal recognition of what many of us already know. Congrats bro, you’ve set the bar high as usual.

Primary reason

Crossing from Knighthood into the Equites is a major milestone in a member’s career. Rrogan Skar has already crossed that threshold in all but formal elevation. Equite promotions are evaluated on activity, intangibles and leadership. Skar has proven more than worthy in all three areas. First, his activity credentials are self-evident. Since his last promotion Skar has garnered a Steel Cross for activity, an Anteian Cross for assisting the summit, a Topaz Crescent, 350 Clusters of Fire and six Clusters of Ice. He has participated in 36 competitions during that same period including going 10/11 in the GJW. He is nearly omnipresent on IRC and in the larger Brotherhood gaming community.

Skar has the intangibles and the work ethic to be Shadow Lord one day, I firmly believe that. This is why I chose him to be the Battleteam Leader for a reborn Shadow Gate. I can teach someone to write a report, create competition or draft awards, but I can’t teach heart. I can’t instill drive and love for the unit and one’s fellow members. As others will elaborate on further, Skar has that in spades.

The risk I took in Skar has already started to pay off. He and his Battleteam Sergeant Revs have already hit the ground running, putting out a timely report, rallying the troops for the war and bombarding me with ideas for competitions and fictional development for their Battleteam. I feel like I’m trying to hold back two Great Danes chasing a rabbit. Even with me pulling back on his leash at times Skar led Shadow Gate to become the most active subunit in Arcona and easily one of the most active units in the Brotherhood during the Great Jedi War with an average 7 out of the available 11 event participations per member. That is no small feat, especially for a young leader and make no mistake Skar played a vital role in Shadow Gate’s success. He was on IRC, Whatsapp, Google Plus Hangouts and email every single day of the war pumping his team, and offering to pitch in where he was needed for the war effort.

Hold your head high Skar, you’ve earned this! Welcome to the Equites my little brother. You have the heart of a champion and serve as an inspiration to all of us.

As the accolades are handed out and the heroes proclaimed from the Great Jedi War I want you to remember one thing: To paraphrase one of my favorites scenes from the Lord of the Rings movie trilogy, ”My friend, you bow to no one.”

Additional reasons

Today is a great day for Clan Arcona. Today we get to promote one of our highly active, highly motivated and overall fantastic members into the Equites. Rrogon Skar, ever since being promoted to Dark Jedi Knight, has been a driving member of the entire Clan, showing new and veteran members alike that there is always something you can do to contribute. He isn’t one to complain when a hard task is given to him and always delivers with quality and quantity that is suitable for the job at hand. His awards, as detailed in the primary recommendation, are phenomenal. Two of which to highlight again are his Steel Cross and Anteian Cross. Skar worked and worked to get his recognition through the actions of combing through massive word counts to accurately summarize Run-ons and participating in numerous events in multiple Clan Operations.

During his stint in Nighthawk, Skar has contributed to the wiki rework by summarizing all of the ‘combat action’ the fictional ship has taken part of so that we may incorporate it into the new wiki pages once completed. This took creativity and ingenuity to come up with a fictional reason and detail the how and why a ship would be in the areas described. I praise Skar for his efforts into ensuring we have a good backstory to use in the future. All in all, Skar is a model member, one that the juniors can strive to be like.

Rrogon Skar, I am proud to welcome you openly into the Equites and I only see you rising fast from here.

Congratulations.

Arcia Cortel, Captain of the Nighthawk

Rear Admiral Arcia Cortel, 2015-02-20 20:48:12 UTC

I could sit here and talk about Skar’s gaming activity and accomplishments in the Brotherhood, but I will leave that to others. Instead, I would prefer to talk about the man himself who is known throughout the Brotherhood.

Prior to transferring over to Qel-Droma, I may have spoken to Rrogon once or twice. However, when I took over Battleteam Shadow Phyle, I began speaking to the lad more consistently. When that happened, I was surprised by the gem that was revealed to me. This is a kid who is more than willing to help however he can, even if he’s never done something of the type before. He has proved this in spades by taking up the role of Battleteam Leader of Shadow Gate, being a driving force in getting people to participate in the Great Jedi War before getting his own entries finished. And, more to the fact, he will argue with you when you talk about awarding him from his efforts.

“I don’t want to be rewarded for my actions; I do it because I like it and I want to help.”

Despite numerous arguments over the matter, where I’ve explained that the above quote is exactly why he should be awarded, Skar still refuses to budge on the matter. He has been an exemplar, selfless member throughout his days as a Journeyman and in his stint as Dark Jedi Knight. Between taking on a leadership role and his dedication to Clan Arcona during the Eleventh Great Jedi War, I firmly believe Rrogon Skar has more than earned the right to join the Equite ranks. I wish we had more members of his calibre and bearing the strength of character.

Welcome to the Equites, Skar. You’ve earned it!

Adept Celevon Werd'a, 2015-02-20 20:48:49 UTC

Skar is my favorite member of Clan Arcona. Saying so will probably ruffle some feathers, but there is nobody quite like Skar in our unit. I have never come across another member with quite the same joy, the same simple love of the game. Skar could not care less about this promotion -- he'll appreciate it, and he'll be grateful, and he deserves it, but the Brotherhood isn't about awards and promotions for Skar. He just comes to hang out on IRC, play some games, RP a little bit, and spend time in a supportive, friendly community.

There's something pure and beautiful about that. Skar continues to rack up Clusters of Fire, pass dozens of Shadow Academy courses, volunteer for every single Arcona project that comes up, compete in every competition he can, and give a friendly hello to every new member on IRC. Skar is the guy I point to when I'm looking for success stories, new members who didn't necessarily have the quickest, easiest path to DJK, but who didn't make it to DJK and then just fade away. Skar's an integral part of Arcona, and more than deserving of this promotion.

Thanks for all that you do for us, Skar, and congrats!

Proconsul of Clan Arcona

Legorii Arconae, 2015-02-20 20:49:48 UTC

Young Skar has become, somehow, our spiritual mascot. He’s like the scrappy little brother that follows you everywhere you go, and sometimes makes you grumble and wish you didn’t have him with you. Except you don’t with Skar, because he’s just fun to have around. As a member, he’s passionate, active, and shows up everyday with a smile. He has never taken the straightest of paths, but he always somehow ends up at his destination.

Knowing all of this, I was pleased to see him selected as Battleteam Leader of Shadow Gate prior to the Great Jedi War. There were a few question marks about letting someone without much leadership experience taking on the role, but Skar put his heart into his application and swore to me in a personal message on the side that he wouldn’t let me down if chosen.

Skar has a lot of the elements I like to see in young leaders. He is passionate, will fight for what he believes in, cares about his fellow members, and ultimately puts them before himself. I’ve overheard him more than once saying things like, “Don’t worry about me, let’s get Member X taken care of first.” It seems small, but these are the traits that cannot be taught with any amount of training. They come from having a good heart and a willingness to help others. And that’s exactly what Skar has, and exactly how he has stepped up to lead since taking his position. He lead by example in the war, was on G-Hangouts, IRC, communicating and motivating and bashing his way to 10/11 events in GJWXI.

Keep up the good work, Skar. I have high hopes for you as a leader and member in this club. Keep your head up, and never let anyone or anything keep you down.

I am honoured to be recommending Achilleus for his promotion to the rank of Equite One. He has been an active member of Clan Arcona and House Galeres for a while now, showing his devotion to the Brotherhood, Clan Arcona and HOuse Galeres for a while now. Helping to expand his knowledge of how the Brotherhood works as he continues to progress as a member inside of House Galeres.

Since his last elevation he has continued to show a strong presence in the Brotherhood, participating in every type of competition from Gaming to Fiction, as well as showing himself inside of the Crusade and helping Arcona show its strong presence in the event. In total Achilleus has managed to participate in a very impressive thirty-three competitions, going and giving his best to any competition without hesitation, he throws himself into the deep end all the time and continues to push forward with ease. For all of his effort and time put into competition he has managed to get an impressive amount of Medals, these include: One Gold Nova, One Crescent with Sapphire Star, Two Crescents with Topaz Star and One Crescent with Emerald Star.

He continues to strive to prove himself in other areas of the Brotherhood. Recently taking himself to the gaming scene showing his ability to adapt to any part of the Brotherhood, he has managed to wrack up an impressive forty Clusters of Fire. Achilleus continues to show he is willing to adapt by then taking himself to the fictional side of the club, interacting with other members and expanding his character inside of a fictional base, for all of this hard work and effort we have seen him wrack up Eleven Clusters of Ice. Due to all his work and participating inside of Crusade events, he not only helped Arcona earn placement inside of it, but also participated with everything he had, putting in effort time and commitment to the club. His effort and devotion was rewarded with him earning twelve seals of the Crusader. As well as all this, his real life time caught up with him recently, but even with all of this hard he still managed to turn up and enter into the Crusade, helping Arcona achieve the placement that it got. Proving dedication and devotion to this club that was exceptional.

Wanting to expand our knowledge of the brotherhood is something that all of us take pride in, this is no exception when it comes to Achilleus. In his spare time he continues to bombard the Shadow Academy with Exams, expanding his knowledge of the universe and the Brotherhood as a whole. Since making Knight he has passed all of the Journeymen Hall exams, expanding his knowledge of the way the Brotherhood system works, as well as taking another five exams on top of this. He continues to strive for more understanding inside the Brotherhood and shows his willingness to put in the time to do so.

Congratulations on all of your hard work, effort and time you have put into this club Achilleus. You are a great part of Clan Arcona and House Galeres. Thank you for everything you have done and keep up the hard work in the future. All that being said I look forward to seeing what you do next, and working with you.

Cethgus Tiberius Entar Arconae Quaestor of House Galeres

Achilleus -- Incendus, as I still know him -- is one of the most Arcona-focused members I know. We recently ran a competition to name our new NSD, and one of Achilleus' suggestions was a finalist. His name was not chosen, but rather than be upset about it, Achilleus was excited just to have been involved in the process, to have been able to help out. His submission then went on to inspire the name of a new fighter squadron, instead. This anecdotal example is representative of Achilleus' approach on the whole, which characterized his ascension to Knight, and will continue to serve him well throughout his career. He jumped head-first into the Clan run-on before the Great Jedi War, kicked more than the requisite amount of ass during the War itself, and is constantly looking for ways to help out.

Thanks for all that you do for us, Gage!

Proconsul of Clan Arcona

Legorii Arconae, 2015-02-19 22:16:23 UTC
Additional reasons

Although my one-to-one relationship ended when Achilleus, then known as Incendus reached his Knighthood, I have always kept a close eye on his continuing DB career.

Achilleus is fairly new to Soulfire, but immediately jumped into both the House Run-on, and the Clan Run-on that has succeeded it, where his posts have helped his Battleteam tell their own compelling story. Considering how hard it can be to enter a Run-on from a standing start, I am exceedingly impressed with how well he has done. Add to that the fact that he has contributed to his clan’s efforts in the Eleventh Great Jedi War with an entry in Phase 1’s Fiction event, despite the arrival of a new baby sister, and you get an idea for just how much time Achilleus has put into this club recently!

Welcome to the Equites, Gage. I’m sure this won’t be your last promotion.

To whom it may concern: Today Scholae Palatinae sees its newest Knight rise. Anahorn Dempsey has completed all of her final trials and is now ready to advance forward as a proud strong member of Scholae Palatinae.

In the 28 says since reaching Jedi Hunter, Dempsey has flown through her trials with ease. She organized the DJB wide "Crystal Fire", which featured a TIE fighter mission she created. She has earned a Maven in Galactic History. Her activity has earned her a Anteian Cross. She has 2 Ruby, 2 Amethyst, 1 Sapphire Stars, 215 Clusters of Fire, and 5 Clusters of Ice. She participated in 20 different competitions, with 9 being from the recently ended GJW. There I was able to see first hand her great abilities as she helped our BP team secure 4th place. She has done some great fictional work, and has completed a great Character Wikipedia page.

It is a great privilege to say Dempsey is ready for Knighting. I know she will continue to go far in this club, and I can't wait to see what she does next. Congratulations Dark Jedi Knight Dempsey. Drinks are on you!

Dempsey has accomplished enough to show that she is ready to construct her lightsaber and take on the rank of Dark Jedi Knight. I got the opportunity to read through her fiction during the Great Jedi War, and the mysterious character being developed on the Wiki and I really look forward to what stories lay ahead and her contributions to them. Including already running a DJB wide competition utilizing the always popular TIE Fighter platform that has seen a resurgence recently. Between her gaming, character development, and participation in competitions she has more than earned this promotion. Congratulations Dempsey, drinks are you on!

I'd like to say congratulations to my apprentice on this elevation to the rank of Dark Jedi Knight. Many times over the past 8 years, I have been given the more needy apprentices, but this was definitely not the case when it came to Dempsey. I had known her for many years before she decided to come and join the Dark Brotherhood and Scholae Palatinae, and I knew that her work was exemplary. She definitely didn't disappoint when it came to her work here either. I gave her a list of things to do at each rank, and she came through with flying colors and in minimum time. I am extremely proud of what she has accomplished, and I can only hope that she will continue through the ranks of the Equites just as she has done with her time amongst the journeymen.

Since joining our House in September of last year, Aaleeshah has proven herself to be a capable and impressive Jedi. Her steady rise through the ranks has impressed the Summit, and it is with great pleasure that I endorse her promotion to Jedi Knight.

In the time since her last elevation, she has participated in eight competitions, earning herself an Anteian Cross for her efforts. She has earnt two Pendants of Blood, a Crescent with an Amethyst Star, and accumulated 83 Clusters of Fire. She has completed a further five Shadow Academy courses during this time, achieving a Dark Maven in Philosophy in the process.

Having now met all of her requirements in the Journeyman trials, it is time for her to rise up as a full Knight of House Odan-Urr. Congratulations, Jedi Knight Aaleeshah!

Mandalorian Darcy Avarik, 2015-02-19 00:54:45 UTC
Additional reasons

It's a rare thing to promote a Jedi Knight. Most of the members that join the Dark Brotherhood simply fall off the roster. Many stay in the Journeymen class a long, long time before reaching new heights. Aaleeshah is no such Journeyman. She has completed all of her requirements, which include days required in rank, a Shadow academy degree, a Merit medal, two major competition awards (Crescents or Novae), three Pendants of Blood, 75 Clusters of Fire, participation in over 8 competitions, two Shadow Academy courses from the Department Of Leadership Studies, and GMRG Society Rank 4. She has also participated in two Great Jedi War Events and placed 3rd in the Round II Graphics competition, earning herself an Anteian Cross.

For exemplary service, I would like to recommend Aaleeshah for the final step on her Journeyman path, and a new step in her new career in the Dark Brotherhood. Congratulations Jedi Knight Aaleeshah!
