It is my honor to be recommending Nicolai “Rod” Rodell for promotion to the rank of Dark Jedi Knight. Rod has spent 28 days as a Jedi Hunter and has earned a Dark Cross. He has participated in 15 competitions and earned a Crescent with Emerald Star. Rod has reached the fifth rank in the GMRG and in the Shadow Academy Societies. Over the past few months I have had the pleasure of getting to know Rod. I say getting to know because he required very little guidance from me as a master, often completing the requirements for the next rank before hitting his current one. In fact, Rod is on track to surpass me in most avenues of Brotherhood activity (which is saying something because I’m no slouch). In the short time Rod has been with us he has tore up the Shadow Academy, won our Master/Apprentice ACC battle, beat me out in the gaming portion of the first phase of GJW XI (logging 277 Jedi Academy matches and winning 203 of them!), and ranked among the all time high scorers in the Antei Combat Bureau pilot. He has already recruited another member into the Clan who will serve as his apprentice once the formality of Knighting is complete. If I’m not careful he’ll have my job in six months.

All this is as it should be. Rod and members like him represent the future of House Qel-Droma. He is a natural leader that I expect we will see great things from in the future. I should probably get started on his Equite recommendation. Rod has entered the Great Jedi War and held his own against the crustiest veterans among us. He is passionate, driven, and just a really cool guy to hang out with. It has been an honor and a privilege to have Rod as a student and a member of my house. As my character said in Rod’s Knighting fiction, “Today I lose an apprentice, but gain a brother.”

Over the past few week one could not simply go into the Arcona Irc channel and not see Rod there cheering on his clan mates, there is something that I can take pride in when i give this recommendation for him to be elevated to DJK.

Since the moment Rod joined Arcona, he’s been a maelstrom of activity, often having to only wait for his time-in-rank to elapse towards that next promotion. Nothing has changed; in fact, he was either already ready or a single requirement short of Dark Jedi Knight the moment he became a Jedi Hunter. From working with Rod as Battleteam Leader of Arete to Aedile of Qel-Droma, Rod has been an absolute pleasure to work with.

His absolute stellar performance both in the recent Clan Run-On and the Great Jedi War has been nothing short of amazing to see. And that’s nothing to say on his dominance in the Antei Contract Bureau. It felt as though I were knocking out the fiction prompt, turned around and was being told he was ready for a new contract..

In my opinion, Nicolai “Rod” Rodell has gone so far above and beyond what is both required and expected of Journeyman and is more than deserving of his promotion to Dark Jedi Knight. GRD Drake Starfire has completed his trials to reach the rank of Jedi Hunter. Drake has visited both IRC and the DJB Voice Server. From gaming he has managed to earn 119 Clusters of Fire, earning GMRG Rank III. He has made it to SA Society Rank IV, with 39 completed courses, and 3 different maven degrees. Drake has earned 2 Amethyst and 2 Sapphire Star Crescents, from the 18 different competitions he has participated in. Of those, 8 are from the GJW!

Simply put, Drake performs at a superior level in terms of output competitively and as a driving force within Scholae Palatinae. Ever since joining our House, Jalen Ramz has shown himself to be a model member of Tarentum, and has easily met and exceeded the requirements for his promotion to Jedi Hunter. As evidenced by his attaining the third rank in the GMRG, he's been a strong force in gaming, with 242 Clusters of Fire and 3 Pendants of Blood to date (with more to come, I'm sure). He's no slouch when it comes to competitions, either, with seven participated in so far in his budding career, three of those earning him medals. Its not often that you see someone who is eligible for promotion days before their time in rank expires. Luckily, the DJB has someone in DEF Junzaee that has managed this twice so far. As soon as she is eligible for promotion, she is looking for ways to get her next one. I say this because I have been badgered about what she needs to go from PAD to Knight.

In her 3 weeks as Defender, Junazee has been awarded 3 PoB's, earned numerous Clusters of Fire, taken several SA exams (one of which was Competitions in the Leadership hall), and has been elevated in both the SA and GMRG societies. She has been a constant source of activity in the running GJW as well. She participated in the Puzzle and Graphics portions of Round 1, and has participated in the Puzzle, gaming, and is almost finished with her graphics submission for 3 out of 4 GJW comps. I am proud to call her my apprentice, and even more proud to request her elevation to Padawan!

Few Journeyman impress me and they do so very rarely. Sure there are some who go beyond the call of duty at times, but rarely do they ever do so consistently throughout their time in the Club. Ever since she joined, Juna has been a whirlwind of activity. So much so that she really, really impressed me. She is constantly active in the gaming community and the Shadow Academy, not to mention the GJW. I'm thankful I have Seraphol on my side because with all the other Journeymen and Masters I have to look after, I could hardly even keep track of her.
