I would like to recommend Protector Junazee elevated to the rank of Defender. Junazee has completed her mandated requirements of being awarded 40 CF's, reaching the SA Society 2nd rank as well as the 2nd rank of the GMRG Society. She has planned and written 750 words of character fiction, gained approval for her Character Sheet, and has been an annoyance in both IRC and the DJB TS server. In addition to this she has earned a Pendant of Blood.

Lastly she is a constant annoyance on learning more about the DJB. In my 14 years I have seen very few people who eat content up as much as she does. I can only imagine her rank and position in another year.

All too often, we see members get to PRT, GRD, or JH and burnout, losing interest in the club right as things are really going to take off. As a Rollmaster, this is a problem I'm acutely aware of and one that I work hard to overcome. As Raiju, his Master, says much better in his own recommendation below, however, this is not a problem we have with Garloaf, as he's aware that it's truly the slow and steady that win the race. We all complain from time to time about our RLs, but Garloaf is one that works within the confines he has to and yet still produces results - since his last promotion over a year ago, four Crescents, a Legion of the Scholar, and a Dark Cross speak wonderfully to that. I am proud to see Garloaf continue to keep his nose to the grindstone, and I am honored to recommend him for promotion to the rank of Jedi Hunter. Congrats!

It has been just over a year since Garloaf’s last promotion, which surpasses the time requirement, and I am even more excited now to write this recommendation as I was a year ago. Garloaf is an interesting character in club in comparison to how I have experienced Journeymen. Often, I run into JM that burst in with energy and scope up all the activities they can; however, more often than not these same JM enter into the Equite class and burn out because they aren’t properly prepared for the long game that is the DJB.

Garloaf, I believe, won’t have this problem.

Garloaf is a slow burn, but dependable source of energy. He’s dedicated to the House he serves, as has been proven in the activities he’s stepped up to provide for his brethren - whether it be for his direct benefit or (more importantly) not. He hosted competitions before for his promotion requirement but also just for the good of the house and that was what earned him his first merit award - satisfying another promotion requirement. Besides just being a content provider, Garloaf has also been a consumer (satisfying the competitions requirements with 15 submissions) and through his talent has earned a combined total of six 1st and 2nd place finishes (satisfying two additional requirements). Furthermore, his participation in the Shadow Academy has earned him a third tier rank within the society and he makes sure to pop on IRC when he’s RL allows him. In the past year he has come to satisfy the promotion requirements to Jedi Hunter, and again I think it’s important to note that he’s a long game player. Garloaf takes his advancement in the DJB one step at a time, figuring out the different aspects of this club in their entirety before moving onto another platform. And therefore I think Garloaf is already ready for the challenge that is the Equite ranks and I can’t wait to get him through the last huddle that is Jedi Hunter before he can be unleashed on that class group. Making the DJB work with his RL commitments, having a high level of patience and determination, as well as being both an active content provider and consumer are all the markings of an Equite member. So it’s my pleasure to recommend Garloaf to Jedi Hunter, just so we can get him onto DJK and then to his rightful place in the Equites.

Garloaf is one of those members that stands out amidst the darkness. Tarentum has received a wonderful person with Garloaf, who displays consistent activity and positive attitude in everything he does. Whenever Tarentum needed him, he was there. Whether it was participating in Fading Light or doing competitions within the House, Garloaf stepped up and left his mark. When we needed someone to run a trivia competition, it was Garloaf who volunteered and ran the competition.

From my experience with Garloaf, he treats everyone with the same respect he’d like from others. He’s a great guy, and we here in Tarentum are very lucky to have him. It is my pleasure and privilege to ask that we promote Garloaf to Jedi Hunter. Congrats man!

Garloaf has been a relatively quiet and under-the-radar member of Tarentum. I have not personally had a great deal of contact with him except to see the automated emails regarding SA courses completed, crescents awarded, and more recently his desire to move on to doing more within the House. He has helped to run several competitions and was able to do so with a very minimal amount of assistance. He is a prime example of the fact that you don’t have to make a lot of waves to be successful in the Dark Brotherhood. I look forward to seeing the next few phases of his advancement, which are when members need to begin expanding their spheres of influence and growing beyond the confines of their unit.

Rod has continued to destroy the requirements for Knighthood at a breakneck pace. Since his last promotion 21 days ago he has acquired a Crescent with Emerald Star, a Pendant of Blood, 28 Clusters of Fire and 4 Clusters of Ice. He also completed his ACC qualification as a first time go and managed to beat his Equite master in an ACC match (I won’t go easy on him next time :p ). Additionally, he also was a lead participant in the Clan Run-On posting 1785 words of fiction in support of his team.

If I could, I’d give him his Knight saber now, but one step remains. It is has been an honor and pleasure to have Rod as a student and member of my House. I have no doubt he will forge his own legend in the upcoming GJW.

It is my pleasure to be recommending Revs for Promotion to the rank of Dark Jedi Knight. Revs has done much in his short time with us in the Brotherhood. He has spent 28 days as a Jedi Hunter, has been awarded an Anteian Cross and a Dark Cross. Revs has Participated in 12 competitions and has passed Leadership Competitions and Leadership Management. Revs has assisted myself with the Path to Knight mobile application project as a valued beta tester and was the first to point out several coding flaws in the program which hampered it’s functionality, that had slipped by the initial testing phases. He has reached Rank 4 in the Shadow Academy as well as gaining 3 Maven degrees in Combat, Lore, and Galactic History. He has worked diligently to have his characters wiki article approved by the Wiki Tribune and has earned himself 7 Clusters of Ice. Finally and possibly most impressive Revs has wrote a total of 7044 words of character fiction across multiple stories.

Revs is the type of Journeyman you want around, he is hard working and easy to get along with. Even with the technological difficulties that he faces he has provided a quality of work and a willingness to learn that is not often seen at any rank. Revs has even stepped up into the position of Battleteam Sergeant recently and has continued to impress in that position.

Knighthood signifies the end of the regimented path of the Journeyman and where members come out from their master’s shadow and forge their own destiny. Not all who begin the path receive their Knight saber, but Revs left little doubt that this day would come and has earned his saber in spades. When real life got in the way, he didn’t give up and returned with a vengeance to get where he is today.

When House Qel-Droma found itself in need of fresh blood to lead a revitalized Shadow Gate battle-team Revs was among the first to step up with a stellar application which made my decision extremely difficult. Ultimately Revs was hired as the BTS where he has not disappointed, already hard at work contacting members and drafting the fictional foundation for the rebirth of one of the most successful battle-teams in Arcona history. Revs has already shown himself to be a leader in the clan by winning First Blade of Arcona in the ACB and crafting four qualifying posts to the currently running clan run-on (placing him in 3rd out of 21 participants).

Others will detail Rev’s specific accomplishments and how he shattered the requirements for Knight. I have already entrusted him with the future of Shadow Gate and its members, today is about recognition, recognition of what is already true. Revs is a Knight. I have no doubt I will be welcoming him into the Equite ranks in short order.

Ever since joining the Brotherhood Revs’ path to Knighthood has been something great to keep track of. Since joining he has earned three Shadow Academy degrees, participated in over ten competitions, and assisted in Beta testing the new Path to Knight mobile app for our Rollmaster.

But above all these things he has been a very important part in the team that is revamping Shadow Gate, since being made Battleteam Sergeant he was been very active in the new updated wiki, and providing ideas for many of the Battleteam competitions in development. I could not be more proud or honored to have such a man as my BTS, so to this end I fully recommend the Revs be Knighted.

Since the moment I met Revs, he has been both an eager and willing student. Unlike most Journeymen where you have to continually poke and prod them into doing a single thing, Revs is a breath of fresh air. All that is needed with Revs is pointing him in the right direction and he flourishes, going above and beyond what is expected of him. One such example is his activity in the Shadow Academy. I told him that he needed a shadow academy degree that wasn’t a Pundit. Then, before I realized it, he had three under his belt.

All of this has been done, as well, using a tablet and his phone. To be frank, I’m surprised at how well he has done considering the autocorrect feature of such devices. Yet, even with such obstacles in his way, Revs fights on and goes beyond what is expected of him. I couldn’t be more pleased with such a fine example of how a Journeyman should be. As such, I believe Revs has more than earned the rank of Dark Jedi Knight.

Revs, it’s been a long time coming and your hard work has paid off. As I stated in the fiction, you are no longer my apprentice. You’ve now taken the first step in joining the greater part of the Brotherhood. Congratulations, Knight!
