Primary reason

Crossing from Journeyman to Equite is a major milestone in a member’s career. It signifies the passage from rank and file to pillar of the community. Kooki embodies a level of dedication and selflessness beyond a Journeyman and she is without question a central pillar of our community. These are facts. Kooki is already an “equal” in all but name. Today it is time to make it official, Kookimarissia Mimosa-Inahj is an Equite.

Kooki’s record since Knighthood is impressive, she has never waived in her dedication to her clan and the Brotherhood, she can always be found leading from the front lines giving her full effort to any event and offering encouragement to her comrades. Since her last promotion Kooki has accumulated: a Steel Cross, a Antetian Cross, a Dark Cross, a Gold Nova, Twenty Four Crescents, Eighty Seven Clusters of Fire and Twenty Clusters of Ice. Additional she gave strong strong showings in Operation: Sojourn, Fading Light: Bosthidra, Operation: Figureheads and an exceptional showing in Fading Light: Nicht Ka with a gold nova and five out of five events.

Beyond her impressive dossier is the presence and impact of a member that is near and dear to the heart of Arcona. A presence which, was readily apparent to even a newer Arconan like myself. It is my distinct honor to endorse her promotion to Krath Priestess.

Congratulations Kooki! Welcome to the ranks of the Equites! This has been long overdue.

Additional reasons

Kookimarissia Mimosa-Inahj has been, for nearly the past year, an exceptional example of what our Journeymen should be. The Knight has been picking up awards left, right and center despite having a very busy real life schedule and raising her first child. I first met Kooki when I became XO of Dark Forge over in Galeres and, even then, she was a stalwart of activity.

Due to her husband becoming the Sergeant of Soulfire Strike Team, Kooki had to move somewhere. I quickly pounced on the opportunity to have such a person in my Battleteam. I mean, who wouldn’t? She’s eager to participate where she can, puts in 110% in everything she does and is always willing to lend a hand. Kooki is a very common presence throughout IRC, especially during the late-night hours. In the recent Vendetta, the third installment of Fading Light, Kooki put in full participation, which is no mean feat. There were many who didn’t achieve this, despite having three weeks to do so. Her graphics alone were exceptional and the hours she put into the entry are clearly visible. And that’s not even going into the puzzle which made no sense to me whatsoever. But she figured it out and won a Gold Nova out of it!

It wasn’t until after we recommended her to receive a Steel Cross that we realized just how long Kooki had been a Dark Jedi Knight. We then decided to put off this request until the completion of Fading Light III, and did it ever pay off. For her efforts and distinguished service, I hereby recommend Kookimarissia Mimosa-Inahj be promoted to the rank of Equite I.

Congratulations, Kooki! You’ve shown you deserve this. Welcome to the Equites! :)

Arcona Invicta!

~ OP Celevon Edraven Commander of Battleteam Arête

Adept Celevon Werd'a, 2014-11-11 22:39:27 UTC

A lot of people will overlook Kooki as the tired, but always enthusiastic member who comes on at odd hours of the night when she is able to take a short break from being a full-time mommy. They forget that despite that, she is still one of the most active members of Clan Arcona on a day-to-day basis. She is always competing in competitions that pop up, and has maintained a consistent drive and dedication to Arcona over the course of the past year since making DJK. It has been a slower path than some, and while she hasn’t tackled any leadership roles, her smile and enthusiasm are contagious and her energy keeps others around her motivated and driving. She’s slowly gathered up her escalades of awards based on her performance in Arcona Operations, and everytime I see an entry from her I smile. It’s hard to believe it’s almost been a year, but time flies when you’re having fun. And Kooki is all about fun, and sharing it with others.

So, congratulations, Kooki, on yet another promotion. Your path is different than most, but it’s yours and you rock it like no one else can. Keep up the great work ;).

Consul of Clan Arcona

Lord Marick Tyris Arconae, 2014-11-11 22:45:01 UTC

Kooki is a breath of fresh air in the Brotherhood, and particularly in Arcona. She’s not the traditional member, and with as much time as she spends taking care of her son (at all hours of the day!), it’s a wonder she’s able to contribute so significantly to Arcona. And yet, she does.

She’s always a cheerful presence on IRC, ducking in when she can to check in and chat with friends. She makes the most of all that Arcona has to offer when we’re not swept up in a vendetta, and when we are, she becomes fiercely competitive. Recently, she earned a Gold Nova in FL3. Wow. If someone had told me when Kooki first joined that this doting, compassionate young mother would be taking one of the club’s top prizes in a vendetta, I would have had a hard time believing it.

But now, it’s so seemingly mundane as to pass beneath the radar. Nobody’s surprised, it’s just the way Kooki rolls. She’s an invaluable member of our team for so many reasons, and she’s awesome to have around. Her unbroken, unceasing activity and devotion to Arcona are more than enough to earn her this promotion to the Equite ranks.

Congratulations, Amy. I could not be more proud!

There’s few things that make you more emotional than seeing people you care for grow up, especially those you look over. I’ll be choking back tears by the end of this. But this isn’t about me--it’s about the amazing young woman I had the privilege to mentor.

Amy is an incredible person. She is kind, dedicated, and heartfelt. She treats everyone around her with the same friendliness and care, almost like a mother figure--small surprise, that, considering she manages to be such an active member despite raising her darling fifteen-month old, seemingly at all hours, most of them late at night. By some stretch of inhuman stamina and determination, the tribulations in most of her life never keep her from this small piece of it: the Brotherhood, her Clan, her friends. She’s always online being cheery, she’s always active and giving people a run for their money, she’s always out there trying and winning...to put it plainly, Amy is one of the most devoted people I’ve ever known, not just as a member but also as a mother, and she is an irreplaceable treasure to this organization.

My rambles will only turn into sugar and gumdrops if I go on, so let me conclude shortly with this: Amy, I am so proud to have had you for a student. It is a great gift and honor, and I’m so happy to see you join us in the Equites. Congratulations! You’ve earned it!

Master of this awesome lady

Master Ruka Tenbriss Ya-ir, 2014-11-11 22:53:11 UTC

Kooki only joined Qel-Droma recently, but has quickly integrated into the House and made her presence felt. She’s been a powerhouse, active and always enthusiastic. It seems every day I have an email about her entering a competition. Kooki isn't simply a body in participation numbers, either. She's managed to rack up an impressive run of awards, most recently a Gold Nova after completing all events in Fading Light 3, no small feat. She has always been one of the most active members in every event run by the Clan as well, placing very highly in the joint Operation: Figureheads event. All in all, Kooki is an active, competent, and approachable person, a shining light in Arcona.

Even though she was in Galeres for the majority of her time in Arcona, she has been an exemplar of our 'One Clan' philosophy. She's been a presence on IRC whenever she can grab time away from being a full time parent, forging relationships with other members to become a friend to all. Kooki is truly a member of Arcona with an impact that can't be ignored.

Congratulations, Kooki. You deserve it.

I am honoured to be promoting Saskia to the rank of Equite Three. She has been a hard working and driven part of this club since joining seven years ago. She has been an active and dedicated part of Clan Arcona and House Galeres Working hard to not only improve the House but the Brotherhood as a whole she is a driven and motivated person who gives everything to any task that she undertakes.

Since her last elevation she has been active in multiple role, competing in competitions and making sure that she is an active member of Soulfire. She has already managed to participate in 10 competitions, from a mix of Fading Light to day to day competitions. Earning herself Two Crescents with Sapphire Star, One Crescent with Emerald Star, Two Crescents with Topaz Star. Saskia never keeps herself to one area of the brotherhood tho, she always tries to branch out, this can be also seen with her gaming she has racked up a very impressive Ninety Clusters of Fire. While still keeping her focus on the writing aspect of the Brotherhood, this has seen her achieve five Clusters of Ice. Saskia has been once active part of the Brotherhood over the years, she has continued to get involved in everything since her last promotion. For all of her efforts in events she managed to take one Seal of Reminiscence, Two Seals of Decimation and Three Seals of the Crusader.

Saskia keeps working inside of different positions inside the Brotherhood spending time in multiple roles. Since her last promotion she has been a ACC Operator for a total of Sixteen Months, during this time she was required to mark countless ACC Battles that members took part in, spending hours making sure that they were judged fairly and in accordance to the grading rubric set by the Combat Master. During this time she would have opened multiple matches, started fights, set the scene and put all of her effort to let members of the Brotherhood experience the Combat Centre. Saskia has also been a ACC Judge for a total of Three Months, learning the ropes and getting her time in to experience the role that she was expected to fulfill.

As well as her service to the ACC and the Brotherhood, she has also served in a variety of House Positions. She stood as House Galeres Rollmaster for a total of a Month, helping new members to the club understand what was expected of them when they joined the club. Holding their hands and helping them find a Master that suited them, she made sure that all of the Journeymen were happy inside of the Clan. And for her most recent time she has spent the last Eight Months as a Battleteam Sergeant for various teams. In this her role was to support the current Battleteam Leader in all of their duties, keeping a constant contact point for members and making sure that any tasks regardless of how small or big there were are completed to the fullest extent. She continues to fulfill these duties expected of her and continues to keep pushing herself hard in positions.

For all of her hard work she has managed to rack up an impressive amount of medals including One Sapphire Blade, One Steel Cross, One Anteian Cross and Two Dark Crosses. Under normal circumstances these are impressive enough. Continuing to expand her horizon Saskia makes sure that she is always giving everything to the members under her. Knowing that they are having fun is all that she drives for, never once expecting anything for herself or wanting anything. Making her one of the rare members of the Brotherhood, and an outstanding part of the House. Meanwhile she continues to push herself harder, studying inside of the Shadow Academy. Earning herself an impressive Seven exam passes since her last promotion.

For all of her constant hard work, devotion and drive for this club today we see her Elevated to the Rank of Equite Three. Congratulations Saskia keep up the hard work and keep pushing yourself further. I look forward to seeing what you do in the future for this Club and for the House.

Additional reasons

Since her last award, Saskia has taken part in the Fading Light ACC event, getting as far as the 3rd round, taken part in the DB-wide Pazaak Tournament. She also took part in the Gaming portion of the Arcona-wide event Operation: Figurehead, as well as the gaming and puzzle of Fading Light III. All the gaming activity also led her to achieve GMRG rank III.

She has also spent the last 2 months as my Battleteam Sergeant, a role in which she has assisted with writing reports and motivating members, most notably by creating the ‘Soulfire Profile’ competition.

However, her crowning achievement has been to do the vast majority of the work pertaining to the re-write of the Soulfire Wiki, where she virtually single-handedly modernised the page to reflect Soulfire’s current membership.

Congratulations, Krissi. You’re just one behind me now. ;)

, 2014-11-12 04:34:33 UTC

Saskia is a true veteran, one of Arcona’s savviest members and a constant source of mid-level Equite leadership. It’s too easy for her efforts to be taken for granted, but to do so would be to do her a serious disservice. This has been a long time coming for her, and it’s the result of sustained awesomeness across a wide range of Brotherhood responsibilities.

I can’t speak to Saskia’s work in the ACC other than to say that I know she works hard and takes her job very seriously. I can, however, speak to her impact in Arcona. She’s always stepping up to the plate, always volunteering, always mentoring, and always participating. Recently, I was looking for someone to cover some gaps in Arcona’s history. Usually, I look to our Journeymen for those kinds of projects, but in this case, I needed someone familiar with the last few years of Arconan history. Saskia stepped up to the plate in a big way, writing a few sections for me and offering to do more.

Saskia’s held tons of leadership positions in Arcona, but the truth is, she doesn’t need any official title on her dossier to make an impact. Right now, she’s working hand-in-hand with Andrelious in Soulfire, and he’s been raving about the work she’s doing. She’s a helpful presence in #arcona, and an active source of motivation and encouragement in vendettas. She’s mentored quite a few of our younger members as one of the essential pieces of the Clan’s retention system.

Congratulations, Krissi. You’ve earned this promotion, and Arcona thanks you!

Legorii Arconae, 2014-11-12 04:34:59 UTC

Krissi is a special kind of member that doesn’t fit into any one of our usual “categories” or “archetypes” we have in the DB. She is a leader without being in a position, a mentor, a friend, and a general positive attitude towards her peers. Her activity list speaks for itself, so instead I will simply lend merit to her ability to work with others and drive them to succeed. She is active on IRC and helps keep our community strong by engaging in discussions with not just the veterans, but the newer members as well--no doubt retained from her time as helping the Clan as a former Rollmaster. Since returning to Arcona after her sojourn, she has been active force, competing in everything she could get her hands on. She is an important part of Clan Arcona, and has recently taken to helping Andrelious maintain a high-activity Battleteam in Soulfire Strike Team.

Keep up the good work, and congrats, Krissi!

Primary reason

Lucyeth is the kind of member we always hope to find. He joined the Dark Jedi Brotherhood, latched on and has rocketed forward as an incredible member, leader, and friend. A lot of members find the post DJK life to be difficult, without the guidelines of the more formal promotion requirements, but that was not something that tripped Lucyeth up. He had already sunk his claws into the club and wasn’t going to be thrown off. In his nine months as a DJK, Lucyeth continues to amazing and leads as an amazing example to everyone. He has served 4 months as a Battle team Leader, taking it seriously in providing constant communication, participation opportunities, and showing everyone on his team how to be a stellar member. This included organizing a multi-competition battle team event following one of our recent House events. It even included an opening fiction, and scoring system. This has led to him to run 8 different competitions. He has earned both a Steel Cross and a Dark Cross for various activities, including helping in the ACC Beta. He has participated in a whooping 96 competitions over the last month, and is frequently a placer in DJB wide competitions as well. He has earned some 26 different crescents for this work. He has also collected 30 Clusters of Ice, and 40 Clusters of Fire. He has also earned two Dark Savants! Basically, Lucyeth has demonstrated an insanely dedicated work ethic and remains a member that I know will deliver constant good efforts whenever there is a chance to. Where many members peter out, Lucyeth has double downed. If there is any member who has ever earned a promotion to EQ1, it is Lucyeth. Congratulations Lucyeth, Drinks are on you!

Lord Idris Adenn, 2014-11-12 04:26:59 UTC
Additional reasons

It has been great to see all the hard work the Lucyeth puts into the Dark Jedi Brotherhood, and continues to do so since his promotion to Dark Jedi Knight nearly 9 months ago. He has participated in 96, and placed in 26 of them, an outstanding amount of accomplishments for a member at any level. Since showing an interest and taking on a leadership role as BTL of Acclivis Draco, he now has brought that same great energy and dedication to the summit and engaged in some great discussions on how and when to run different unit wide competitions. The competitions he has run and the fictional identity he has created for his team, including bringing them to 1st place in a 3 way head to head competition with the other teams, show he leads from the front and is already working at the level of the Equites, so it’s time he joins the ranks. Congratulations on Sith Warrior Lucyeth, you have more than earned it.

Lord Nevan Taelyan, 2014-11-12 04:25:42 UTC

One of the unwritten expectations of potential Equites is that they begin to give back to the club. Four months ago, Lucyeth was given leadership of Acclivis Draco where he quickly stepped up to display his lead-by-example style. Communication with his team is absolutely first rate, and coupled with the competition opportunities and encouragement he offers, it's no surprise that he led them to victory against the other battle teams in a recent series of competitions. Furthermore he has worked with his team to craft a strong fictional identity for Acclivis Draco taking into account both member feedback and the fictional path laid out for the House by the Summit.

Between his work as a leader, Lucyeth has also found time to develop himself on a personal level. He has participated in a staggering 96 competitions, placing in 26 and earning crescents for his efforts as well as 30 and 40 clusters of ice and fire respectively. Lucyeth has also earned two merit medals: a Steel Cross for his stellar leadership, and a Dark Cross for helping to refine the ACC as a beta tester. His activity in the Shadow Academy has also earned him two Dark Savants in History and Lore, and Writing and Philosophy.

Lucyeth has more than shown he has the discipline and tenacity of an Equite, and it is only right that his rank reflect this. It has been an absolute joy to watch him go from strength to strength in the DB, and reaching the Equite ranks is just the latest achievement of what I'm certain will be many to come. Congratulations Lucyeth, you've more than earned this promotion to Sith Warrior.

Koryn Palpatine Thraagus, 2014-11-12 04:26:12 UTC

Lucyeth is a model member of this organization and embodies the best traits that the club has to offer. He is a selfless leader of Battleteam Acclivis Draco. As his Sergeant, Lucyeth is always pressing forward with new plans and ideas and striving for the best possible environment for the personnel under his care. This is evident in the output of competitions he has run, his timely reports, inclusion of ideas and personalities for a truly dynamic unit that he mentors. As a prior mentee of Lucyeth, I can say firsthand I would not be where I am today with him. Many others would attest the same facts for their careers. Lucyeth is one of the rare personalities that changes and enhances everyone he comes in contact with. Beyond what he gives to the club, Lucyeth is a performer. He has taken part in over 90 competitions and was awarded for nearly 30 of them. He holds two advanced Dark Savant degrees and merit awards to his credit. Here is a man that leads by example and also puts up the numbers.

Mauro Wynter, 2014-11-12 04:26:48 UTC

Lucyeth is one of the most shining members of House Scholae Palatinae. Since he accomplished the Trials of Knighthood, he has proven himself to be as excellent members as we could only hope for. He has participated in numerous competitions, earning multiple Crescents and Clusters of Ice. He has also earned several Dark Side Mavens and a Dark Side Savant. He has maintained high level of activity for around nine months since last promotion and has been one of the most active members of our House. Apart from typical activity, Lucyeth has shown strong dedication to the Battle Team and House in other areas of their functioning. He has taken up actions to provide greater depth to the fictional background and the identity of Acclivis Draco. His merits in all these areas are more than required to allow Lucyeth join the honorable group of Equites of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. However, it is clearly visible to me that Lucyeth is also a mature and friendly person, who is dedicated to our club. He is definitely ready to become a Sith Warrior. Congratulations!

New Rank
Krath Epis (Equite 3)
Requested by
Zanet Xox
Primary reason

I am quite excited to recommend Raistline Majere for elevation in rank to that of Krath Epis. Raist has shown a sincere dedication to the Clan, House, and Battleteam over the past year that has seen a slew of activity coming from him. My inbox has been regularly inundated with his activity since I’ve been both his Battleteam Leader and Aedile these last few months.

Raist was last elevated 12 years ago, so I’ll give a more recent snapshot of his activity – since the start of this year, Raist has participated in 52 competitions, placing in 17 of them and earning a pair of Clusters of Ice from the fiction events he’s been part of. Not only that, Raist has (co) hosted five competitions this year as well.

He has been a demon in PvP and PVE, earning over 900 (!) Clusters of Fire since the New Year as well as 2 Pendants of Blood. He has really dug into the Shadow Academy as well, completing 15 courses as well as completing a Dark Maven and Dark Pundit. He was twice awarded Anteian Crosses and earned a Steel Cross for his activity this year as well.

Raist has shown himself a capable and steady leader during his career, having served as an Aedile, Battleteam Leader, and Battleteam Sergeant. His apprentice, Catmatui, has recently been mentored by him to her current rank of Dark Jedi Knight.

Raist has been part of the Wardens Battleteam over this last year. As a bit of background, the Wardens is a team meant for the development and mentorship of young Journeyman. In that respect, Raist has been setting a terrific example for the Journeymen to follow (as illustrated above). He recently stepped into the BTL position and has ramped up his activity and participation, again perfectly modelling the positive attitude that the other members can look to. He is frequently on IRC and active on the Taldryan and Ektrosis mailing lists.

Aedile Kenath Zoron

Zanet Xox, 2014-11-12 04:26:40 UTC
Additional reasons

It’s astounding how long it’s been since Raist has been promoted. I’ve known him, or known of him, for a good portion of my career. He has always been someone who comes in and out of the club, doing what he can when he’s here, but RL calling him away more often than not. That being said, I really gotten to know him recently as QUA of Ektrosis, and it has been a pleasure to see a veteran of the club really throw himself at all the various activities.

Honestly, Raist has been on fire and seems like an eager young Journeyman or Equite, rather than a longtime veteran of the club. His overall activity has been astounding in recent months, but taken as part of all the years he’s been at this rank that kind of activity becomes overwhelming.

And it’s not just the activity, but also the leadership. He has not served long stints, but his stints have been very effective. His time as BTL along for Wardens has been fantastic, as he has really taken on a hands-on approach to interacting with his members and ensuring they’re getting the information they need.

I believe Raist has more than proved himself in all aspects over the course of these many years. This promotion has been a long time coming, and it can’t be more deserving. Congratulations, Raist!

Lord Halcyon, 2014-11-12 04:25:11 UTC

Raist’s Quaestor and Aedile have covered his activities in the past year, but I would like to cover Raistpoo over a much longer term, both since his last promotion, and his entire Brotherhood career (as required). Since his last promotion (You know when that was? I was still Chancellor. That’s forever ago.), Raist earned five Anteian Crosses (in addition to the two mentioned by Zoron), every single one of his 36 crescents (17 of which were mentioned by Zoron earlier), 3 Legions of the Scholar, and 5 Vendetta seals. In addition, Raist is an avid competitor - Zoron mentioned his 52 participated competitions this year - meaning that Raist has an additional 33 that occurred prior to this year (realistically, that number is probably closer to 50 - due to the pre-2006 competitions that were not documented in the database).

Finally, Raist has served as a leader in this club at on multiple occasions since before 99% of our members knew what the Dark Brotherhood was. Raist served as House Ektrosis’ Aedile for 4.5 months, as Battleteam Hex’s Leader for nearly 6 months, and most recently as the Wardens’ Sergeant and now Battleteam Leader, fulling the hard leadership requirement for promotion.

Raist has served his house, his clan, and his club for well over a decade - and it is time that we recognize that service by elevating Raistline Majere to Krath Epis. Congratulations!

Howlader Taldrya, 2014-11-12 04:25:32 UTC

Raistline’s Quaestor and Aedile will be filling in the raw details of his exemplary activity in this recommendation, so I don’t feel the need to go over that again. I would prefer to spend some time speaking about the character of this man who we’re speaking of. Raistline Majere, or Raist as everyone and their brother knows him, is part of what makes Taldryan great. I’m not talking about our winning record in vendettas, or how many times Raist has stood up, and said “I will help Tal win!”

No. I’m talking about the group of people who come together time after time, year after year, and are simply… great.

Taldryan has perhaps at times been an insular community within the DB, but part of the reason for that is that we generally, as a group, all get along so well. We’re a family, and Raist has been a member of that family for a long, long time. He’s as solid a member as we ever have had, and even if he wanders off during the rigours of time, at his core Raist is one of us. He’s a member of our family, and he always comes back. Sure, the same could be said of kidnapping victims with Stockholm syndrome, but we don’t like to think that way.

Raist has carried the torch for many years, and he never asks for more. All Raist ever seems to want is people to hang out with, and play some games with, and every so often write some fiction or ACC with. Raist is here not for awards, or rank, or honours. He’s here because he loves Taldryan, and because he loves the DB.

So, even though he doesn’t seem to care about promotion all that much… I want you to know Raist, I think you’re awesome, and I truly believe you deserve this promotion to Krath Epis. Huzzah my friend, and congratulations… you earned it.

Keirdagh Taldrya Cantor, 2014-11-12 04:26:01 UTC

A lot of things have been said about Raist in this recommendation so far. There have been those recommendations that focus on Raist’s capabilities as an outstanding part of the Brotherhood’s Communities, may it be focused on gaming or writing, or his performance in various Leadership positions within Taldryan. But for me the most important part was that about Raistline's interest in the Dark Brotherhood and the small Brotherhood within this Brotherhood that is Taldryan, and this is where I would like to add my part too.

Raist has now been a member of this family for almost fifteen years now. Anyone can say what he or she wants but a person who comes back again and again for such a long time only to join a small group of people sharing the same hobby is definitely a feat worth recognition. Friendships eventually expire over such a long time but family lasts for ever. For Raistline Taldryan means family far away from his real family. Well this isn't exactly true anymore as he has introduced one of the most important parts of his real life into the Brotherhood and training her up to the rank of Dark Jedi Knight making her a part of our family as well, letting our little family grow ever more.

Indeed, there are few within our rows who don't care about awards, ranks or honours, they come here just for the benefit of having a good time and to talk and laugh with each other.

This is truly what makes out a good man and good men deserve more than simply recognition at times. Congratulations on your Krath Epis Promotion Raist!

It's been great to see a wave of gaming come into Scholae Palatinae recently and upsidexumop is just one part of that and has seen himself climb to GMRG III in the past few months by earning 120 clusters. I appreciate both his contributions to the community and unit, and hope to see him continue to find the opportunity and enjoyment to keep climbing the ranks and racking up the rewards for his gaming. Congratulations on the next step Guardian upsidexumop.

Lord Nevan Taelyan, 2014-11-11 21:35:08 UTC

As one of the resident old men of Scholae, I am always glad to see a new member come in who wants to participate in gaming and the Grand Master's Royal Guard. With his steady elevation up the levels, upsidexumop has shown consistency in his gaming activity that I hope to see continue over the next few months and years. The path to Dark Jedi Knight can be a grind, but it is well worth the effort! Keep up the good work!

General Kell Palpatine Dante, 2014-11-11 22:39:47 UTC

Upsidexumop walked closer to his master and to the Emperor while Evant and Dante stood in attendance. The Emperor motioned towards the group that he was ready for the promotion of the new member of the house.

Upsidexumop has definitely tried to do everything that i have asked of him in order to obtain his promotions. His participation in competitions and gaining of clusters from Diablo 3 is great and i hope to see more. Well deserved promotion.

Omega, Since the day I first spoke to you on IRC I could tell you were keen to get in and do some work and be active. But, you have shattered any expectation I, or anyone I believe has had of you. Your constant IRC activity, competition submission, reports and general get-up and go attitude is amazing. You have already recruited people into the club and have taken the responsibility of becoming thee master and training them. You have received an Anteian Cross and a Dark Cross both within the last month, as well as be an active member in Fading Light Competitions. You have also completed all your promotion requirements, minus the time, early and instead of stopping and waiting you continue to push forward and look for more to do, amazing. Taldryan considers itself very lucky to have you aboard.

Congratulations Omega!!!!!!!

Omega of the Omegas! I am delighted to be able to write this final recommendation as his master, although I cannot really figure out what I did to help Omega along. By the 2nd or 3rd day? Omega had fufilled the written guidelines for promotion to Dark Jedi Knight, and has spent the past 25 or 26 days working on other things. He has competed in 31 competitions, include two Fading Light events, has earned over 250 Clusters of Fire, has served as Battleteam Leader of the Harbingers for more than a month - and has posted 5 BTL reports as a part of his duties. Additionally, he has an approved character page on the Wiki, completed far more of the leadership Shadow Academy courses than required, and he has 4 degrees - three Mavens and a Savant.

Omega is a damn demon of activity, and has more than earned his promotion to Dark Jedi Knight! Congratulations!

Howlader Taldrya, 2014-11-10 21:12:11 UTC

Omega is a Journeymen who I cannot say enough great things about. Even though he technically joined the club originally way back before I did, when he found his way back to us, he did so as a complete unknown. The club of today is like the club of 1997 in name only, but even still, it was like Omega had never left us when he came back.

To say that he's rocketed through his trials to Knighthood is a slight understatement. Even now he's in #Taldryan reminding me that he has finished his waiting period and is ready to advance. Omega is a rare breed these days, and we're blessed to have him in Taldryan.

Therefore, without any further delay... Omega Kira, I am proud to grant you the rank of Dark Jedi Knight. Rise now and enter the ranks of Taldryan Knights!

I am honoured to be recommending Esca for his elevation to the rank of Equite 3. He has been a hard working individual and has been constantly active since his last promotion. Proving himself to be a dedicated and active member of Clan Arcona and House Galeres. Always stepping up to the plate and working well with members of the Clan, influencing them in various leadership positions that he has been part of. Stepping up time and time again and putting these need of others before himself countless times.

Since his last promotion he has been heavily involved in competitions all over the brotherhood, this has included House Operations, Clan Operations, Multiple Rounds of the Dark Crusade and Fading Lights. He has competed in a total of Seventy-Nine Competitions these have been everything including, Fictions, Graphics and Gaming. For all of his effort he has managed to achieve Two Crescents with Ruby Star, Seven Crescents with Amethyst Star, Ten Crescents with Sapphire Stars, Twelve Crescents with Emerald Star, Ten Crescents with Topaz Star, Four Crescents with Quartz Stars and Five Legions of the Scholar. If this wasn't impressive enough he continues to show his willingness to adapt to different areas of the Brotherhood. During the events that he has participated in he has managed to achieve quite a few Seals, these have been in the form of Two Seals of Duplicity, One Seal of Darkness, Two Seals of Pain, Four Seals of Reminiscence and Three Seals of the Crusader.

Esca is the type of guy that doesn't limit himself to just one part of the Brotherhood, for as long as I have known him he has been constantly playing games, these can be in the form of Diablo 3, Destiny and ToR he is always trying to get people involved in different ways and make sure that they enjoy themselves while playing the games. This has seen him rack up a very impressive One Thousand Two Hundred and Ten Clusters of Fire, as well as getting a total of Nine Pendants of Blood. On the complete flip side of this he has participated in Run-Ons as well as being involved in the ACC seeing him continue to take Sixteen Clusters of Ice for his writing work. He has also picked up One Scroll of the Dark side and Two Scrolls of Indoctrination.

Esca continues to expand himself in terms of knowledge, this has been in the form of the Shadow Academy, Esca has continued to put in effort taking over Twenty-Five courses inside the Shadow Academy, this has seen him gain tw Pundits, Two Mavens and One Savant for all of his time and effort. He also offers things for other members, during his time since his last promotion he has been involved in the Organization and running of a total of Eleven competitions, varying in type but all offered for members to take part in and enjoy, seeing activity increase not only in his Battle team but also inside of the House. Constantly looking at ways to improve member experience during his time in the club.

Since his last elevation he has continued to serve in a variety of different positions, these are in order of position as follows: PCON of Plagueis for Two Month, Preator to KHP for Six Months, QUA of House Exar Kun for One Month, AED of House Satal Keto for One Month, Aedile of HOO for One Month, Rollmaster of House Exar Kun for One Month, Battleteam Leader of Requiem Squadron for One Month, Battleteam Leader of Soulfre for One Month, Battleteam Leader of Ravana Squadron for One Month. Battleteam Leader of Nightawk for Seven Months. Showing his ability to lead in a various set of positions. He has served each position with dignaty and pride giving each position everything he has got and for all of his hard work over this time he has managed to earn himself Three Steel Crosses, One Antiean Cross and Two Dark Crosses.

Since taking over the position of Battleteam Leader of Nighthawk Esca has continued to expand the activity of the team. Making sure that every member is an involved part of the team getting to have a say on the development of Nighthawk. He has also continued to work on making sure that the team is informed with what is going on, working on newsposts and report to keep all of them informed on everything from simple House competitions, to Fading Light events. On Top of this he has been getting involved in updating the wiki page and allowing the team to have input on what turns and twists take the team forward in the future and expand their background story. He has also been a huge input inside of House Galeres Run-On, Helping Atty run the event coming up with fiction and the plot twists, driving his team threw it with passion and fire. With Esca’s continued presence I cannot see a brighter future for this house as well as for Nighthawk as a team.

Congratulations Esca you have more than earned this elevation to the rank of Equite Three. I cannot think of a more driven and passionate person about this club. Esca stands up for what he believes in and will continue to do so. Thank you for all your hard work Esca and I look forward to seeing what you do in the future.

Better known to us as Esca, Arcia Cortel is an excellent example of Leadership within Arcona. Not only does he work well with his team, who are all highly motivated, but he also works well with his fellow Battleteam Leaders, as well as the upper summit. Under his leadership, Nighthawk have only continued to grow, writing their own excellent casual Run-On, as well as posting large amounts of content in the Galeres Run-On and have also achieved an average of 2 submissions per member in the Fading Light III Vendetta.

, 2014-11-09 19:21:35 UTC

I am supremely honoured to being chosen in writing a recommendation for Arcia’s promotion. Most of us know the guy as a down to earth, mellow, comical and intelligent person. But when you look past the persona, you see the fabric of a true leader beginning to form and weave. He becomes diligent, focused, unbiased and a strong foundation to Galeres. Nighthawk would certainly never be the Battleteam it is today without this man. On a personal level, I know he can take a lot of pressure, he knows when a mistake or a fault was made but Arcia doesn’t complain. He finds the faults, assess them, and fixes them immediately. Among being a leader, a mule, a commander and an author, he is by far one of the wisest teachers. Congratulations on the EQ3 promotion sir, you are the icon of an Obelisk Exarch.

Qor Kith, 2014-11-09 19:22:03 UTC

I am sure that plenty of these recommendations have included Esca’s accomplishments, the competitions that he has competed in and won, the competitions he has (co)organized, the SA courses he has passed and the medals, seals, and degrees that he has earned. While all these accomplishments are important, the thing that sets Esca apart is his dedication to his team. He is committed to the success of all of his subordinates. He embodies the qualities that make up a great leader.

Esca has the ability to see the potential in a crew member and build on it. BT projects, such as the Nighthawk wiki overhaul that we are currently working on, are split up among the crew according their skills and their availability to perform the task. He leads by example and puts in twice as much work as he expects from the crew. This work ethic inspires the crew to perform at peak efficiency. Of the almost 46,000 words in Operation:Revival RO, nearly 21,000 are written by Nighthawk members and 8,000+ of Nighthawk’s words were written by Esca. His post move the story along and include nearly all, if not all, of the participants.

In his communications with the team Esca is upbeat and jokes with the team. This keeps the crew happy and encourages them to put their spare time into projects, competitions, and DB gaming. The competitions that Esca runs are creative and entertaining to participate in and do an excellent job of building a strong fictional history for the Nighthawk and her crew via the Hawk Tales Series. The team is also encouraged by Esca ensuring that their work is recognized either in his report and by recommending them for medals and promotions.

While Esca’s accomplishments are plentiful, his real impact is in the people he leads. I cannot offer enough praise for him. He is always open to suggestions and ideas from the crew. I wholeheartedly recommend that Esca be elevated to the rank of Equite 3.

Antar Locke, 2014-11-09 19:23:23 UTC

It’s easy to overlook the efforts of a Battleteam Leader, especially in a unit like Arcona. While some will debate their effectiveness in other units, Batteteams are very much a cornerstone of Clan Arcona--one of many gears that help us function at such a high level day in and day out. Today I get to speak about Nighthawk Battleteam, and more specifically the man who has been its guiding hand for the past 8 months.

Arcia Cortel, or Esca as we all know him, had been somewhat of a journeyman before landing in Arcona. A few questioned if he would stay, or integrate with the rest of Arcona. After his first month of being back, those questions faded rather quickly as he jumped right into the wiki articles that needed help, offered his hand at adding Graphics where we needed them, and general bonding with the membership. Esca was a big part of Teroch’s initial pitch to get Nighthawk made into a team. His enthusiasm for the project helped give me confidence in giving the team a shot. And so it was that Nighthawk was initiated and challenged to earn the ship that would bear their namesake and make the whole thing work.

And they did. Nighthawk absolutely dominated Operation: Sojourn, and they let that momentum carry them forward. For his resilience, Esca was made Battleteam Sergeant, and slowly started to take on more and more responsibility. Dash then had to step aside, and told me that Esca would be taking over. Most people know Dash, and know that he doesn’t put blind confidence in a lot. And in truth, I had questions as to how the team would hold up after its veteran founder. As they had once before, those questions died quickly as I watched Esca take the reins without missing a beat. He kept the momentum going directly into the Fading Light Vendetta.

In the first round where everyone scrambled to form teams, Esca made sure to keep the Nighthawk crew together. This was one of the first times I really saw his knack for leadership.

Beyond that, Esca has (since taking over the job back in April) been the prime example of a Battleteam Leader not just in Arcona, but in the Brotherhood. He energized the team with timely, detailed, and well written reports, encouraged the members to not only be active in Arcona activity but BT-specific competitions that helped build teamwork. He is a constant presence on IRC and makes himself available to not just members of his team, but any Arconan who might have a questions or need help.

Esca is selfless, a trait that many members, let alone leaders, posses. He is the first person to question a move I make, typically, but does so in a curious manner instead of being accusatory. Each instance, it’s typically in reference to another member, not about himself. He believes in fairness across the board and doesn’t compromise on this ideal. He is efficient with how he operates and doesn’t dilly-dally and his ability to get things done motivates everyone around him to do the same.

We are lucky to have Esca as part of the team. He has a bright future as a leader in Arcona, and is part of the new generation of Arconans that I look forward to seeing take control after I’ve stepped down or moved on.

Thank you Esca for letting me sleep better at night knowing you’re around. Thank you for all the countless small things you do that go unlogged or noticed by the stat-sheets.

Oh, and Congratulations on a well deserved, overdue promotion ;).

Lord Marick Tyris Arconae, 2014-11-09 19:23:51 UTC

This is supposed to be the part where I say nice things. Justified nice things, not just fluff. It’s the part where I highlight the services and accomplishments that add up to earning those nice things I’m supposed to say. Where I tell you, staffers, leaders, members, brothers, sisters, and anyone else reading this exactly why Esca is getting his promotion. But I’m not going to do that--at least, not as traditionally as I would.

Mike, you’re not one for surprises or a lot of fanfare. You’re a pretty simple guy, in a lot of ways, and you’re grateful for simple, true things (like still having all your fingers despite the “Mr. Twitch” title), and you think I use way too many adjectives as is. So, while I’m supposed to mix in mentions of how you’ve had twelve different leadership positions, one of which included seven months of being the best damn Battleteam leader I’ve seen yet, and about your crazy amount of competition participation, and all the placings you’ve earned, I’m really here to just say a few short things.

I’m honored to call you my friend. I really am. I’m proud to have your confidence and to be able to confide in you. It’s a pleasure working with you--and by working, I mean complaining while we do fictional jobs. You’re an incredibly hard-worker, a fantastic mentor, and a wonderful writer and artist. You’re a great leader but also a humble one. You’re also probably already bored reading all this, but you have to deal with it and take all the praise.

I really could go on and on. There’s a lot to say, but I’ll limit myself to this: thank you. You’ve been fantastic, and you deserve this. More than this. Congratulations, brother, and beautiful dreams.

Master Ruka Tenbriss Ya-ir, 2014-11-09 19:22:59 UTC

Esca is a godsend. He’s more than just a BTL, even though “just a BTL” means a heck of a lot in Arcona. He’s the single most reliable member of the Clan, unfailingly consistent in his reports, his IRC presence, and his efforts at leading and motivating his battleteam. He has had tremendous success as a leader, to the point where he serves as an example to BTLs in both Houses, and helps out wherever he can.

Esca is one of the first to step up to the plate whenever I put out the call for volunteers for a project to improve Arcona, and his own observations and ideas have served as the foundations for some projects streamlining our communication and cooperation as a Summit. He puts his range of talents to good use not for himself but for Arcona, and for Nighthawk, and has become one of the senior statesmen of our Summit since April. He knows what’s going on beyond our borders, and he takes an active interest in Arcona’s Clan-level policies.

The leaders that you can trust completely to handle their responsibilities without any prodding -- knowing that they won’t make a mess of things, do anything immature, or just wander off the reservation -- those are the leaders that you grab onto and never let go. Esca gets the job done without any help from above, and for that, I thank him.

Esca’s individual achievements speak for themselves. His BTL leadership is among the finest I’ve seen in my seven years in the Brotherhood, and Nighthawk is fortunate to have him at the helm. His service transcends his team and his Clan, and can be extended to the entire organization. By being one of its most active, dedicated leaders, and by continually mentoring and motivating younger members, Esca is taking a hand in the Brotherhood’s future.

We should all thank him for that. For your sustained excellence and dedication, Esca, please accept my congratulations on this promotion. You’ve more than earned it, brother.

I am honoured to be recommending Kordath for his elevation to the rank of Equite One. It takes hard work, dedication and devotion to the House, Clan and Brotherhood as a whole to step out from Knight to this rank. Kordath has continued to prove his devotion and drive for this club as he continues to participate in competitions, Fading Light and general day to day activities. All that being said Kordath has done the following since his last elevation.

He has spent his time participating in a total of 27 Competition, which have included participation in Operation; Sojourn, House Event; Figureheads and going five out of five in the recent Fading Light 3. Through his hard work and efforts in the competitions he has managed to take an impressive number of medals, earning himself: One Bronze Novae, Three Crescents with Topaz Star, Two Crescents with Sapphire Star, Two Crescents with Emerald Star and a Crescent with Amethyst Star as well as Eleven Legions of the Scholar and Nineteen Seals of the Crusader. He continues to strive to achieve better of himself taking part in anything that comes his way always looking to expand his knowledge of the Brotherhood. Though this alone does not make him stand out in the way we have all come to Kordath. He is always chatting always online and talking with other people, actively being on IRC is always part of the Brotherhood, Kordath continues to be active with young and old members alike keeping the Clan channel always buzzing.

If this wasn't enough he has continued to aspire to learn more about the Brotherhood and the Star Wars universe as a whole. He has made sure that his free time has been spent inside of the Shadow Academy, showing that regardless of rank you can still learn more. Since his last elevation he has managed to complete an impressive twenty-two exams, Three Dark Mavens and 2 Dark Pundits, showing his willingness to give his all in another aspect of the Brotherhood. He has also taking to gaming recently, this has been in the form of anything from Destiny to D3 and everything in between, getting together with others members of the brotherhood and competing either against them or with them to earn himself a total of One Hundred and Eighty-Five Clusters of Fire. For all of this he has also managed to pick himself up a Pendant of Blood for his gaming efforts. Yet he has also taken himself into the writing, this is in the form of Run-Ons as well as general writing activities, this has seen him take a total of five Clusters of Ice.

Since his last promotion Kordath has also managed to earn himself two different merit medals, for his effort and work inside of the Club, these were in the form of One Grand Cross of the Dark Side, and One Dark Cross. During his time since his last elevation he has also ran a Run-On for Dark Forge as well as Lexi’s Trivia. This was during his 94 Days as Battleteam Leader of Dark Forge. During this time he helped to keep Dark Forge active, emailing them and speaking to its members constantly trying to drive up activity through constant communication. Dedication and time passed as he continued to write reports, email his team, run competitions and actively recruit members to Dark Forge. He also became an intricate part of my summit, giving advice and opinion towards events, showing his opinion with truth and if something wasn't right he would speak up and say it straight up helping progress the House as a whole.

For all of this I am proud to see Kordath step into the Equite Ranks. He has continued to prove himself time and time again inside of the Brotherhood. Congratulations on your promotion Kordath, I look forward to working with you in the future, and look forward to seeing what you bring to the table. Drink are on you bud.

Cethgus Tiberius Entar Arconae, Quaestor of House Galeres

Kordath never really stops leading. He’s served Arcona officially as a BTL, but even without that title next to his name, he’s a motivator and an insatiable competitor. He’s always around, always pushing, whether it’s pushing his peers to fight for Arcona in FL3 or to submit to a House or Battleteam competition. Arcona’s participation ratios are not the product of one or two leaders, but the sustained effort of dozens. Kordath is foremost among those dozens.

His individual achievements are notable, as they demonstrate the depth and breadth of his ability. He writes, he games, he eviscerates Shadow Academy courses. He does it all. His three months as leader of Dark Forge were among the finest months in that team’s history, and in many ways he set the example that other BTLs would follow. There is something that every Arconan leader, and every Brotherhood leader for that matter, can learn from Kordath.

Equite 1 is not an easy mountain to climb. For those favored few who do manage to reach Dark Jedi Knight, Equite 1 becomes a unique beast in itself. Over the course of his career, Kordath has shown the necessary commitment and character to merit a promotion into the Equite ranks, and I am delighted to be recommending that he take his place amongst those Equites now.

Congratulations, Kordath, and thank you.

Proconsul of Arcona

Legorii Arconae, 2014-11-09 16:49:30 UTC
Additional reasons

I feel honoured to be writing this for the promotion of Kordath to Equite 1. Firstly I would like to say that Kord has been a supremely helpful and unbiased thinker within the Dark Forgean ranks, he has assumed the mantle of a mature and modest being when we discuss ideas about how our Battleteam wishes to continue. When the recent events began to appear, Kordath was in a bit of a predicament with a very busy lifestyle and little motivation. Conclusively he stood tall and decided to resign from the team, it wasn’t until after the events started that he wanted back in, because of purely how much activity and the immense story plots were unfolding. The man had stepped up to catch-up with us and he brought all of his creative essence to the table. He did this whilst plowing through Operation: Revival and became a major part of the Run-on that reached over 50 posts, each one being averaged at a little over 700 words, with three posts per day. Kordath enjoyed the atmosphere and when Nicht Ka was being advertised around Clan Arcona he was more than ready to engage the One Sith traitor. is immense concentration, activity and positive aura still affects me to this day. After pulling out of Fading Light 3 with every submission he could possibly do, the drunken Ryn became a new man, and rebirthed talent. I am so proud to be a spectator in the change of Kordath’s ambition and work. Congratulations on this promotion, it is yours to treasure.

Psh. This guy. I’d bet anything that when this pops up in his inbox, he’s just going to blink and go, “Wha…?” He’s not really the sort that expects to get anything, mostly because he’s just too laid back to expect much at all of life in general, except maybe good drinks and friends.

However, that relaxed attitude certainly doesn’t equate to laziness. Kord’s a hard-worker, and while life might pull him away sometimes, he always seems to come back with a vengeance--metaphorically speaking, of course. Kordath is a quietly dedicated person, and he quietly became a pillar within Dark Forge without fanfare, just with his presence and activity. He dove into all the competitions challenging his team, such as the House’s Run-On, Operation: Revival, and the most recent Fading Light round where he participated in every event. And though he’ll happily chat with his fellows and clanmates, respond to emails and start discussions, you’ll rarely see any cheering from him. He’s just happy to be a part of it all, and helping his team, being there for them, is enough. It’s a rare quality in people, and one I’m pleased to show off in Kordath.

For all his dedication to his Battleteam, his House, and his Clan, and his long service to the Brotherhood as a whole, I’m immensely glad to be recommending Kord be promoted to the Equite ranks. Welcome, Matty, and cheers! You’ve earned it.
