Its not often that you see someone who is eligible for promotion days before their time in rank expires. Luckily, the DJB has someone in DEF Junzaee that has managed this twice so far. As soon as she is eligible for promotion, she is looking for ways to get her next one. I say this because I have been badgered about what she needs to go from PAD to Knight.

In her 3 weeks as Defender, Junazee has been awarded 3 PoB's, earned numerous Clusters of Fire, taken several SA exams (one of which was Competitions in the Leadership hall), and has been elevated in both the SA and GMRG societies. She has been a constant source of activity in the running GJW as well. She participated in the Puzzle and Graphics portions of Round 1, and has participated in the Puzzle, gaming, and is almost finished with her graphics submission for 3 out of 4 GJW comps. I am proud to call her my apprentice, and even more proud to request her elevation to Padawan!

Few Journeyman impress me and they do so very rarely. Sure there are some who go beyond the call of duty at times, but rarely do they ever do so consistently throughout their time in the Club. Ever since she joined, Juna has been a whirlwind of activity. So much so that she really, really impressed me. She is constantly active in the gaming community and the Shadow Academy, not to mention the GJW. I'm thankful I have Seraphol on my side because with all the other Journeymen and Masters I have to look after, I could hardly even keep track of her.

Seraphol has listed all of her merits since her last promotion so I won't copy-paste since it's the duty of the master to give his Apprentice the praise she deserves. Jedi Hunter Landon Cruise has been an incredible member since he came to Scholae Palatinae. And today, I am pleased to say, his Knighting Trials are at an end. Landon has reached out, brought friends to the club, called back old members, and been a constant example of what having a winning attitude is like. He has ran three different DJB wide gaming competitions. He has participated in 34 different competitions, including all of the Phase 1 GJW events, AND was the first one in HSP done with the multimedia event. He has been a regular on both IRC and the House Mailing List, energizing hyping up activity. He has made it to the SA Society Rank V, with three mavens and one savant. He has also made it to GMRG Rank VI, having earned 763 CFs and 5 PoBs. He has placed in multiple competitions, earning an array of Crescents ranging from Emerald Stars all the way up to Diamond Stars. His super star attitude and great efforts to help the House also earned him a Steel Cross.

Cruise has been a dominate force in HSP since he arrived, and one I am very excited to see just how far he goes. Congratulations Cruise. Drinks are on you!

Almost exactly two months ago Landon sent me a message over IRC. The two of us got to talking and found we both have a love of gaming. After a bit he asked if I would take him on as a Student as he went through his Journeyman Trials. Guiding him through the Journeyman ranks was a breeze, a few days after he reached the Jedi Hunter Rank I took a look at his activities only to realize that the only requirement he had left to reach Dark Jedi Knight was related to time in rank! Cruise has simply blown through any obstacle set before him and continues to seek out greater challenges.

It's been a pleasure getting to know him over this time and to help him (albeit he didn't need much help) along to reach Dark Jedi Knight. Of course, I'm sure that our email discussions are far from over. And Landon still needs to teach me about how to properly pilot a ship in Star Conflict. Congratulations on taking this final step in the Journeyman Ranks Cruise! Keep up all the great work you've been doing and keep your positive attitude! Well done!

Seeing Cruise's contributions on the House mailing list, on IRC, seeing his positive contributing attitude and knowing that he had Valhavoc as his Master, there was no time during his path to Dark Jedi Knight that I had to wonder how things were going.

If anything, he has helped foster a gaming community within the House that I hope to see grow into the future, and he's encouraged me to be part of it with the time I can dedicate. Jedi Hunter Ulfsark has been a long and constant burning member of Scholae Palatinae. His history of accomplishments and activity in the club are astounding. To date, he has participated in some 75 different competitions. They range from the on going GJW, to DJB wide gaming, to the Crusade, to random HSP-only competitions. From these he has earned a tonnage of Crescents. 5 Ruby Stars, 1 Amethyst, 3 Sapphire, 5 Emerald, 6 Topaz, and 3 Quartz. On top of this, he has earned 2 Dark Crosses, 2 Legions of the Scholar, 408 Clusters of Ice (Bringing him to GMRG Rank V), and a Pendant of Blood.

Ulfsark has done 75 competitions since joining the DJB almost 6 years ago, though some are captions, trivia or graphics, his concentration has been primarily on gaming and recently reaching GMRG rank V. While competing, he has earned 23 crescents, with 1st or 2nd place in many gaming competitions due to skill or effort. While his impressive accomplishments in the field of gaming have not touched all surfaces of the multi-faced DJB, it is certainly accomplishment enough for Dark Jedi Knight. Congratulations Ulfsark. Ulfsark is a member that young journeyman would look up to and aspire to achieve what he has done. He is a member that burned like a small ember but never faded away until when I met him and soon became a burning star within the team. If you are a gamer, he is the go to guy in the team. The team has diversity with fiction writers, gamers, graphic artists with Ulfsark demonstrating that he is the forefront of gamers in the team. He is a very active gamer by recently reaching GMRG rank of V. He may soon rival the great gamers that this club has seen so far if he hasn't already done so. He has participated in 75 competitions with a considerable amount of those leading to crescents. This displays his passion for his gaming that is rewarded in his skill often being rewarded.

He continues to display a drive for activity by participating in the recent round of the GJW, the looking home campaign, the crusades, the Acclivis Draco competition just to name a few. Ulfsark is a remarkable apprentice. Words fail me in describing how unique this brother is but I will try. His sheer output of activity over a sustained period is unprecedented as is the quality and intensity of his competitive nature. Ulfsark is constantly in contact with me about his progress and how to better both his career but most importantly the unit as a whole. His rapid advance to GMRG Level V is a testament to his abilities. Likewise, the number of Crescents earned has earned him a place of admiration and respect among his peers in Acclivis Draco and Scholae Palatinae. Simply put, if Acclivis Draco had three Ulfsarks the Battleteam would be the best in the Brotherhood, bar none.
