Antar was relaxing in his rack when his comlink chirped. Always when I get some down time, he thought with a sigh as he picked up the device.

“Go for Locke,” he spoke clearly.

“Antar, meet me down in the hangar bay,” his master, Sight Nortorshin, spoke quickly and directly like he always did with the Sith.

The Sith arrived at the hangar bay several minutes later. His master was talking with the Deck Chief and the Ship’s Doctor, Maaks. Nearby were several martial arts training dummies set up on stands, which was also normal for their training sessions. Walking across the hangar bay to the men, the Sith took in the rest of the surroundings.

“Good, you made it,” Sight spoke slowly as he looked towards the control booth. A yellow light started flashing inside the hangar bay and a voice spoke over the loudspeaker.

“Incoming shuttle, clear the bay. Incoming shuttle, clear the bay.” The voice repeated the warning several times.

“Now, Doctor!” Sight exclaimed as he grabbed Antar and wrapped him up in a bear hug. As he began to struggle against his master the Sith felt a prick on his neck. Several seconds passed the Krath keeping his grip, then Antar’s world went black as the sedative took effect.

The Jedi Hunter felt disoriented as he regained consciousness, opening his eyes he squinted into a bright spotlight that shone from above onto his prone form. Turning his head to the side Antar saw only darkness, but it felt like he was being watched. Slowly rising to his feet the Sith saw a lightsaber laying on the deck beside him. Antar recognized the lightsaber as one his master had once shown him: it was the first lightsaber that Sight used as a Knight. Instinctively taking the weapon into his hand Antar peered cautiously into the darkness.

“ATTENTION, TO ORDERS!” Sight’s voice barked out the military command from in front of Antar. Snapping to the position of attention as he was trained to. The Journeyman could hear the collective pop of the *Nighthawk’s * entire crew perform the movement, as he had just done, in perfect unison behind him. A second spot light ignited and shown down upon Sight as he read from a datapad.

“By order of Shadow Lord Marick Arconae, Consul of Arcona, it is henceforth decreed that upon this day Jedi Hunter Antar Locke is to be elevated to the honored rank of Dark Jedi Knight of Clan Arcona, and is entitled to all privileges and responsibilities of said rank. Those of lesser rank are to obey all lawful orders and directions of Dark Jedi Knight Antar Locke. So it is decreed, so it shall be. Signed this day by Marick Arconae,” Sight’s voice echoed throughout the hangar bay as pride overruled the shock inside Antar.

A third spotlight illuminated Captain Cortel who stood slightly behind and to the left of Sight. “Nighthawk, hand salute.” Her voice strong and full of command. A third voice that Antar had heard only rarely on communications spoke from the darkness behind Arcia, as her and Sight’s spotlights turned off.

“Knights and Equities of Arcona show your respect,” the voice of his Consul sent chills down Antar’s spine as several dozen lightsabers of different shades and hues ignited and shown through the darkness in front of him, the yellow blade of his master the closest.

“Ignite your saber, Apprentice, and join our ranks.” Sight spoke softly though his voice carried throughout the hangar bay. Antar raised the hilt holding it in front of his face and depressed the activation button.

It is my honour to be recommending Antar for his elevation to the rank of Dark Jedi Knight. Though the Rollmaster has gone into detail about everything that he has brought done. Its my pleasure to see the things he has taken above and beyond his simple requirements.

He has been an active and dedicated member of not only House Galeres but Clan Arcona as well, making sure that he continues to strive to take onboard work, this can be from a House level as well as a Battleteam level. Always asking and offering to be able to help others, this could be from wiki pages to even just asking if a member needs help with their character sheet. As well as staying active he is constantly on IRC talking and interacting with others not only expanding his presences and communication with the Clan but talking with those outside as well.

For all or your hard work and effort since your last promotion, I am proud to see you reach the final Journeymen rank. Congratulations Antar, now remember just keep the hard work up and im sure we will see you continue further in this club.

Quaestor of House Galeres

I am pleased to announce that Antar Locke is now eligible for promotion to the prized rank of Dark Jedi Knight. Since joining he has proven to be yet another exemplary Journeyman and one fully deserving of this Knighthood.

Firstly, his activity when it comes to taking part in competitions has been excellent. He has taken part in no less than ten competitions, these being To be, or not to be, Clan Arcona Official Sports Drink [Part 1], Hawk Tales #1, Maximum Brevity Series 9: A perfect kill, Sentence Run-On, [Arcona] ACB 2014 Pilot - June, Monthly Mobile Gaming: 100 Ballz, World Cup Bracket Challenge, Hawk Tales #2, Taldryan Gatekeeper Trials, June 2014. He even managed to place in four of these. In addition to this, Antar has run not one, but two of his own DB wide competitions, one called ‘Dead and Buried’, and the other was ‘I’m a believer!’.

The Shadow Academy has also interested Antar. He has managed to obtain the fourth rank within the SA Society, passing, among other exams, both Leadership Studies and Leadership Fundamentals. He managed also to obtain four Dark Maven degrees, these being for combat, flight, philosophy and writing.

Character development is another area that Antar has shown ability in. Not only has he written over three thousand words, but he has also brought his own character’s Wiki article to a point that it can has been approved as quality by Wiki staff member Aiden Kincaid.

Finally, he has obtained both a merit medal, this being a Dark Cross, and has spent the required four weeks as a Jedi Hunter.

Rollmaster of Clan Arcona

What can I say about Antar that would do him justice. I find myself pondering these things as I write this. I could talk about the things he has done behind the scenes for his battle team. I could talk about his thirst for passing SA courses and getting degrees, or the times I have opened up one of his g-doc’s to do a bit of proofing for him late at night. Only to find him adding more content to what many would consider to be a finished fiction. He seems to have a drive for perfection and to do the best he possibly can. I could mention that he has always finished his requirements well before the time in rank has finished. Honestly none of these things give him justice, they are small parts that make up a whole of who he is.

I have been spoiled by having Antar as my first apprentice. He has a drive that matches and surpasses my own for the Brotherhood. Antar is a member who needs little instruction to complete a request and to shine whilst doing so.

It has been both my privilege and honor to help mentor Antar along the path to Knight. Antar, you have not only earned, but deserve this rank. Enjoy your saber buddy, I hope and expect to see you reach the Equite ranks soon.

ntar Locke has been consistently impressive since he joined Nighthawk. Always asking if there is more that he can assist with and just simply participating in everything he can, Antar never seems to slow down. The Shadow Academy has been the recent victim of Antar's activity spree, with no signs of slowing.

Since joining our crew in Nighthawk, Antar has amassed 3 Crescents with Topaz Stars, 1 Crescent with Sapphire Star, 27 Clusters of Fire, 1 Cluster of Ice and a solid Dark Cross. This is more than most people can say by the time they reach the apex of the Journeyman ranks.

With great pride I am recommending Jedi Hunter Antar Locke for elevation to Dark Jedi Knight. I wish you the best of luck in your coming endeavors, Antar, and hope you remain in Nighthawk so we can all assist you in what is to come. Wield your saber with pride.

Rhaegon has been a most dedicated Apprentice. He has worked hard to reach this point in his push for Knighthood, continuing to impress with his responsiveness and want for growth. He continually asks what the next step would be, what he should do, and how he can improve, and goes and does it. He has also shown in interest in leadership and has been keeping an eye on the tasks that I do so he can learn for possible future positions. It has been a great honor to work as his master. Since his last promotion on 2/19/14, Rhaegon continues to excel. I see his name come up on a regular basis as far as activity goes. The Togruta thumbed the cold, dull durasteel of his armory hilt nervously. Lexiconus had stood on the bridge of the Shadow, but the Eye of the Abyss was quite a different beast. Imperial Star Destroyers were intended to be imposing both to those who faced it in battle and those who served within its hull. It reminded them of their place in the order of things.

The order of things.

Nikola Valtiere, the Torguta’s Quaestor and master, stood at the bow end of the bridge alongside the Consul of Arcona himself, Marick Arconae. The two seemed to be in conversation when Valtiere noticed his apprentice standing at the the bridge’s stern. He whispered something to the Consul, then waved Lexiconus toward them.

The Togruta obeyed his master and strode with purpose toward the two men. He stopped about ten feet from his superiors and looked them both in the eye before bowing his head slightly. “Master. Eminence.”

The Shadow Lord looked Lexiconus up and down then frowned. “This one?”

The Quaestor turned his head and locked his eyes firm with his apprentice. “Yes, Consul.”

Marick nodded and lowered his eyes for a moment before raising them again, staring deep into the Togruta’s eyes. He shook his head. “I’m sorry it has to be like this.”

The Jedi Hunter’s eyes widened slightly, enough that both men were able to see the hint of fear that appeared. This is it. This is how it ends.

Valtiere began to chuckle to himself. “We’re not going to kill you, my young apprentice.”

Marick allowed a grin. “I just meant that there isn’t going to be much of a ceremony, what with most of our Clan fighting on Begeren.” He took a step toward the teenager. “Lexiconus, today you are born again. Today you join Arcona proper. Today you become a Knight.”

Lexiconus smiled despite himself and bowed deeply to the Consul. “Thank you, Shadow Lord.” When he raised his head, he noticed the glint of durasteel in Marick’s hand.

“This is your lightsaber. Take it and join the ranks of Arcona’s Dark Jedi Knights.”

Every Knight is different, and each comes to us with a unique set of passions, talents, and goals. Lexiconus came in with a passion for writing, and promptly threw himself at all manner of fiction competitions, whilst also hitting the Shadow Academy hard in an effort to learn everything about the Brotherhood that there is too learn. As the days passed, he soon found himself coming into his own in the Antei Combat Center, where he’s demonstrated incredible potential, and is likely to be an integral part of the Arconan ACC teams of the future.

Lexic has been an exciting and invigorating addition to our Clan, and continues to be a sparkplug for activity and an enthusiastic source of encouragement for Arconans young and old. He’s the sort of versatile contributor that all Brotherhood members should aspire to be, and I could not be more excited to watch where his talents and drive take him in our club.

Proconsul of Clan Arcona

I am delighted to declare that the time has come for Lexiconus to join the ranks of Arcona’s Dark Jedi Knights. Since joining a few weeks ago he has proven a consistent source of activity.

For example, he has taken part in an excellent eight competitions, these being : Sentence Run-On, Maximum Brevity Series 8: Despatch, Toss the turtle!, May the 4th be with you: Fiction, May the Fourth Be With You 2014: GFX, Maximum Brevity Series 9: A perfect kill, [Arcona] ACB 2014 Pilot - June and A New Era of Monsters, managing also to place in two of these. He has also co-organised his own competition, Jedi’s Best Friend, which was run with great success as a DB-wide competition.

Lexiconus has also been impressive in the Shadow Academy, reaching Rank IV within the society, not only passing both leadership exams but also obtaining five Dark Mavens and a Dark Savant degree.

Character development has also proven a strength, with Lexic managing over 3,000 words of character fiction, in addition to a Wiki article deemed ‘quality’ by staffer Aiden Kincaid. His work in the Wiki includes assisting the summit by generating a table of information detailing how many shades each Arconan is entitled to. This crucial work saved the upper summit literally hours of trawling through data.

Finally, he has obtained the requisite merit award, this being an Anteian Cross, and has been a Jedi Hunter for the necessary 28 days.

Congrats, Lexic. With your expertise in saber forms, I know you’re going to enjoy your new toy. ;)
