Primary reason

Kelvis Xavier is one outstanding member. Day in and day out, he is the one who continually filling my inbox with medal requests due to just how awesome he is. Since the release of TOR, Kelvis has been pounding away not only with his own characters in game, but ensuring everyone who plays gets what ever help they need, often at the sacrifice of his own progression. There are few members in the brotherhood who have had such a commanding presence in the game.

As one of the resident HSP TOR master and M:FIST, Kelvis is one of the members I immediately send new recruits to when they have questions about the game. Kelvis has never shirked away from answering questions, lending a helping to whomever needs it. There were several times he helped me even when I was able to play TOR.

Since TOR’s release, I can’t even count how many CFs Kelvis has received. I am constantly getting CF emails for Kelvis, whether it be for PVP or helping out in the Eternity Vault. Kelvis continually and consistently participates and makes the DB Guild a better place. When TOR competitions are run, Kelvis is nearly always a sure placer in the competition. He is with out a doubt the most consistently active member I have ever interacted with. Since TOR’s release over a year ago, Kelvis has been a continual source of activity and leadership within the guild. He is an amazing example to all members in terms of dedication, ability to help, and continual effort to succeed.

Kelvis’s willingness to help everyone, and make the guild a stronger place is a great sight. He is always willing to point things out, help someone get through something, even when it means going out of his way to do so. Without members like him in the Guild, our TOR presence would incredibly weakened and many would not be able to reach such a high level of enjoyment from the interaction within the guild. I am awestruck at the continued effort he puts in to the game on a daily basis and I hope that everyone can learn from his outstanding example. I am glad to see this effort rewarded. It has been a long time coming Kelvis.

Drinks on you Kelvis. Congratulations!

Xen’Mordin Vismorsus Quaestor of Scholae Palatinae

Since the very beginning of the TOR guild's existence, there has been one figure who has stood head and shoulders above the rest in his dedication and commitment to our cause. His friendly demeanor and stalwart helpfulness are gleaming examples to which we should aspire and his generosity is almost legendary. I am, of course, talking about kelvis.

He has been an officer in the guild for as long as I could remember, and has served in that capacity with remarkable patience and aptitude. He brings so many skills to our guild that he is nearly irreplaceable. He leads raids almost every week, helps new players spec their gear correctly, and even jumps on alt characters to run newbies through lower instances. The amount of time and money he has invested in the guild is phenomenal.

He is long overdue for a promotion and his dedicated service should be rewarded .

Sith Battlemaster Archangel Praetor to the Fist

Kelvis is.. Kelvis. The Jester. The funny man. Originally, Kelvis was a guy that Araxis and I looked at his application for M:FIST and put it with the rest because we didn't know him, we didn't think he was going to be that helpful. But we were wrong to doubt him, to doubt how hard he'd work for us in ToR.

He met up with us on a couple beta-test weekends and he showed us just how helpful he could be. Originally we named him the Guild Jester making everyone laugh, and having a great time. Over time though we made him a Magistrate to the Fist, always helping the rest of the guild before himself. He never had a character at level 50 until March of 2012, when we finally decided to put our foots down and help him push his characters through the final levels. He is the reason that we had a day where we leveled the Grand Master through chapter 1 and got Muz to choose his legacy name.

Additionally, he has recommended thousands of Clusters of Fire, running through countless flashpoints, operations, warzones, and regular duels, all taking considerable amount of time to do, especially doing them when he is running on 4 hours of sleep, and having to work at 5 in the morning and its already 1am.

He seriously is a knowledge base for a lot of the new members that are just joining ToR, when someone asks about whether or not a Juggernaut is the better tank versus a Powertech he'll immediately tell you that a Powertech is better and that a Juggernaut is better as a DPS since the class is broken. He even took on two apprentices to help them through the Dark Jedi Brotherhood as a whole.

Kelvis is the man. The guy that we all grew to love and we all can't live without. Thanks for all your hard work over the last year my friend, and I hope you enjoy your promotion!

Kuro is not the flashy member, always snagging the Novae and the Sacrificial awards. Kuro is the member that submits because he can. He submits and gives it his everything, because he knows that setting the example by participating, and doing his best is what matters... He's the member that encourages others, even when he's having issues.

Case in point: during the Dark Crusade Chapter Two, he found the SA Exam particularly difficult. He posted in the news group about his difficulties with it, and it turned into a discussion about supporting each other and not giving up. It helped to rally the unit, sparking the discussion on other topics, getting people talking about where the had issues.

He's not afraid to open the channel and talk to people, to offer advice and support where he can. He's not afraid to say he can't do something alone, and to ask for help. His conduct is above reproach, always working to not only better himself, but others, even at his own expense.

Aware of his own limitations, Kuro works exceedingly hard to give his very best in everything he does. Despite not thinking that his drawings are magnificent, he submits them for graphics competitions and places regularly. Despite not thinking of himself as a writer, he spearheaded a Run On team, putting it together from scratch and making sure it ran well. He's the one who rode herd on everyone and made sure that timely posts were contributed, that every member hit their post requirement, and indeed exceeding them by some measure.

Dedication. Devotion. Duration. Determination. All words describing the virtues executed by a steady, faithful person. All words describing Kuro.

I'm proud to be able to offer him this promotion to Obelisk Prelate. It's overdue my friend, but you're finally here. Congratulations and good work!

OE Tra'an Reith, Quaestor of Plagueis

All too often promotions in our Brotherhood end up not being about what you've done, but instead about what you've done lately. This sort of focus is ok for some, but all too often it leaves others behind who are deserving of recognition. Kuro is one of the latter group. He has never been the guy to show up during a competition and knock you for a loop with an astounding level of activity, he's "just" the guy that maintains a constant and consistent level of activity. He's there day after day, week after week, and, at this point, year after year. The issue with him getting his elevation to Prelate has simply been that his activity has far outlasted any leader in a position to recognize it. He has been showing up and doing his best for three months short of four years now, and he hasn't had a leader above him consistently for all of that time to put all of that activity together. No one person was ever there to witness it all. When a person finally goes back and catalogues all of Kuro's accomplishments, like an archeologist uncovering something paradigm shifting, one comes to realize that it is amazing that he wasn't promoted long ago.

Over the last four years, Kuro has participated in virtually every Vendetta and Clan Feud event that has been offered: Plagueis: Insurrection, Rite of Supremacy: Spoils of War, Disorder, The Tenth Great Jedi War, The Summer Invasion Feud, Horizons, Beyond the Horizon, and now the Dark Crusade. His accumulation of medals, both for competitions and merit recognition, is equally impressive: 1 Amethyst Kukri, 2 Steel Crosses, 1 Anteian Cross, 2 Silver Novae, 2 Bronze Novae, 2 Dark Crosses, 1 Diamond Crescent, 2 Ruby Crescents, 2 Amethyst Crescents, 4 Sapphire Crescents, 1 Emerald Crescent, 3 Topaz Crescents, 524 Clusters of Fire (without the benefit of TOR or Diablo 3), 6 Clusters of Ice, 6 Seals of Bone, 4 Seals of Defiance, 11 Seals of Decimation, and 6 Seals of Affliction. Looking at this list reveals a picture of a man who maintains a level of quiet dedication to this organization that far outstrips many at ranks well beyond that he holds as a Templar.

His personal achievements are not the only thing that Kuro has thrown himself into over the last four years. He has also been a tireless leader, always willing to step up and do whatever he can for whatever unit he finds himself in. Kuro assumed the position of Rollmaster of House Exar Kun three days after his last promotion, and held that position until April of 2010, nearly ten months. At that time, he moved up into the post of Aedile of Exar Kun, holding that position until the reorganization of Plagueis into a House that July. During the 13 months in those positions, Kuro completed his duties as leader to a high standard. He was constantly running competitions, motivating members, and releasing timely reports (a part of leadership that many members overlook). After returning from a stint in Odan-Urr, Kuro stepped in as Battle Team Leader of Primus Pilus in April of 2012 and got back into the thick of it. Until October, when the Battle Team was closed, Kuro once again generated competitions and reports at a dizzying pace. He understood that as a BTL he was the first point of contact for his members and the Dark Brotherhood's leadership structure, and made sure to maintain a constant level of activity and communication.

As a person that held a position of leadership above Kuro, I've simply added my name to a long list of people that have overlooked his accomplishments and dedication. He isn't the flashiest of members, he might not ever take first place overall in a Vendetta. He is, however, the sort of member that is more important than the high octane competitors. He is the kind of person that will soldier on for years at a time, never letting his activity wane even in the face of others being promoted around him while he never is. He puts his head down and keeps generating the activity and quality placements that he has always been known for, elevation or no. I think it's high time that we correct an oversight that has persisted for at least the last three years and welcome Kuro to the rank of Prelate, with all the recognition he deserves.

~ Sith Battlelord Solus Gar

Kuro has mastered the art of steady presence.

For the past three and three-quarters years, Kuro has been here. Longer than I've been in the club, he's been an Equite -- carrying a year of leadership and a threatening backlog of awards earned at a steady pace. I won't relist them. Solus has done a fine job of that already, and this recommendation would double in length if I did. What Kuro has proven in his time in the Brotherhood isn't about horsepower -- raw, showy speed -- but he has shown me something about torque -- gritty, determined, and unstoppable.

And now that we can clearly see the pile of awards accumulated in three -- nearly four -- years of unrelenting work, it's time to rectify the situation.

Kuro, you've kept your nose to the grindstone for three years, put your shoulder behind your work and pushed on. Welcome to the rank of Prelate -- a place that you've earned several times over. Your contributions haven't gone unnoticed, and I thank you for your persistence and patience.

OP Eiko Rollmaster of House Plagueis Praetor to the Grand Master

My only regret regarding Kuro in Plagueis is that this is not a recommendation to Exarch. Kuro served as the last Aedile of House Exar Kun under my watch as Consul of Plagueis and did so admirably. He released reports far more regularly than anyone else during the last few months of Clan Plagueis and since his last promotion he’s run twenty competitions. Many of his accomplishments have already been covered, but I will go on to say that Kuro is the single most consistent member of Plagueis since I became Consul. He hasn’t slowed down, he hasn’t sped up, and that is exactly the reason he’s been overlooked for so long. Overlooked by me, Kal, Jaek, and even Tra’an.

He is always asking questions about the direction of the House and it is extremely clear that this man cares as much about Plagueis as any of its Summit. He will continue to be a contributing factor and member of this unit and I am more than proud to recommend the promotion to Prelate that he has deserved for so long.

Congratulations, my friend. This has been a long time coming.

Teylas isn't your average member. He approaches his activity with an altogether outlook on what it means. He's not in it for the personal glory. He's not in it for the awards and the praise. He's in it for the unit.

Since coming to Plagueis and being offered the BTXO slot of Ajunta Pall, the Teylas Ramar we've seen has been a selfless, dedicated member of the unit, bent on working for the enrichment of his fellows in AP, as well as the unit as a whole. He and Alaris worked hard to refine the vision of AP, to write the wiki page, to craft the reality of what it meant to not only be in Ajunta Pall, but of it.

He continues to serve by being the leader that gets out the members, inspiring and motivating them to activity. His personal memos to his members served as a linchpin to their being active, often fielding questions and concerns in helping them orient on the events.

When it comes to his personal success though, he's rather quiet about the two Novae he received, or his additional top five placement. He's quiet about the work he did in contributing to the Run On. He's quiet about the wiki contributions. He's a member that rather than show off what he does and how fantastic he is, would rather shine the spotlight on his members and help them bask in their glory, and how it contributes to the unit's success.

What takes it beyond that though, is affability to anyone. He's open and approachable by all member of the Brotherhood, working hard to contribute in TOR not only to Plagueis, but to anyone who seeks help. Teylas really is the member that we want to see further advance not only as an Equite, but as a leader. In time, I truly believe we'll see amazing things from him, even as his existing work serves to set him apart.

I'm proud to be able to offer him a promotion to Sith Warrior for his dedication and devotion to Plagueis and the Brotherhood.

OE Tra'an Reith, Quaestor of House Plagueis

Teylas is a person that I've known outside of the Brotherhood for over eight years now, and from serving with him in other organizations I always knew that he would take to the Brotherhood like a fish to water. It finally took the launch of The Old Republic for us to get our hooks into him, and I know that Plagueis is a better place because of it. While he came to us as primarily a TOR member in his early days (as his 646 Clusters of Fire since attaining the rank of Dark Jedi Knight can attest), he is one of the rare people that made the transition to fully contributing Brotherhood member as well as taking on leadership unrelated to the TOR realm.

His activity since moving to Plagueis has been excellent, though he has taken it to a whole other level since taking over as the BTXO of Ajunta Pall in January. Plagueis holds its BTXO's to the requirements, as far as activity and leadership are concerned, that a Clan holds its Aediles, and Teylas is the best example of that. Much of the basic conceptual work to craft the identity of Ajunta Pall was done before his selection as BTXO, but he was the one left with the unenviable duty of taking that concept and fleshing it out for wiki pages. He was the one that did a lot of the grunt work to get Ajunta Pall established, and it wouldn't be as well put together without him. His personal participation in the Crusade was excellent, bringing home Novae in two events as well as an additional top five placement amongst nine total entries, but his leadership in Ajunta Pall was even better. The ten members of that Battle Team generated more activity than three separate houses in BOTH chapters of the Dark Crusade so far, and Teylas's leadership was integral to that performance.

He's also not one to remain focused on simply himself or his unit, always willing to offer his experience in the form of advice to anyone. His ability to see things that can benefit the club as a whole obviously come from many years running another organization, but his ability to translate them to the differing environment of the Dark Brotherhood is laudable. One specific example of this would be bringing the suggestion of Cluster awards for heroic missions in TOR, to further encourage member interaction and teaming within that arena for the purposes of building community bonds.

His activity, leadership, and his genuine concern for making the Brotherhood a fundamentally better place are the hallmarks of an Equite, and it is my great pleasure to recommend him for the rank of Sith Warrior.

~ Sith Battlelord Solus Gar

Equites are asked to be active, to step into leadership, and to begin the shift from being a Journeyman participant to a producer, planner, organizer, and encourager. Teylas Ramar entered Plagueis -- and entered the Brotherhood -- with that attitude already in place, gathered from experience outside the Club that has been brought to bear with remarkable skill. His role in Battle Team Ajunta Pall's dominance so far in Dark Crusade has enabled those ten members to outperform entire Houses, and has given our House a healthy foundation of activity that we can continue to build on month after month. He has been a significant portion of the House's gaming presence and a fixture in our extended House Summit. With the required Steel Cross borne proudly on his chest, he has crossed the last hurdle that stood between him and the rank of Sith Warrior.

After nearly a year at the rank of Knight, I believe it's time that his contributions be recognized in the form of a promotion. Thank you for your determined focus. You've already helped to strengthen your unit and your Brotherhood -- and I look forward to seeing your contributions as you continue forward.

OP Eiko Rollmaster of House Plagueis Praetor to the Grand Master

Teylas reminds me of my Journeyman years in that I attempted to become as involved and as crucial of a member as possible even while new. In my experience working with him, he has not simply succeeded at the fictional level, but also at the participatory and sportsmanship level. Having worked with him on two ROs in the Dark Crusade Prologue and second Phase (receiving a Bronze and Gold Nova for them, respectively), I can see the drive and motivation he has to continually improve his writing and his inclusion into the greater part of Plagueis.

Honesty, innovation, and fortitude are three facets that Teylas brings with his attitude. He has been a continual presence for the younger membership, providing a consistent voice in Plagueian proceedings and discussions. As XO of Ajunta Pall, he has shown capability in terms of offering a complex and invigorating structure and opportunity for the members of the battle team. His medals have been granted for an obvious reason - he is more than just a good gamer, writer, and participant. He is a leader and role model for his house, which he cares very deeply about. That is admirable, and sometimes that’s difficult to spot in some houses or clans.

I wholeheartedly offer my words of recommendation for his promotion to Sith Warrior.

Ronovi Tavisaen

Plagueis has been extraordinarily lucky, as of late, to be able to bring members into our House who have been driven enough to be vital toward establishing us as a contender. One of those people is Teylas Ramar. There is not much I can say more than has already been said, but I will say that I am equally lucky to have him acting as my “Number One” in BT Ajunta Pall. He has stepped up and taken the role very seriously, encouraging members individually and as a whole. He leads, not only by his words, but by his actions. His two gold novae and one bronze nova in the Dark Crusade and its prologue show his dedication to producing excellent quality work. In addition to the quality of his work, there has been a fantastic amount of quantity that has come from him. He participated in 9 of 11 possibly events during the Crusade proper, and received a Steel Cross for that work.

There is no person that I would rather have working as my Executive Officer in Ajunta Pall, and it with great pleasure that I recommend him for the rank of Sith Warrior.

Congratulations, Teylas. This is well deserved.

First and foremost, I have to say that Morotheri is in the uppermost echelon of people I love to work with in the DB. Morotheri is not only a great guy but his quality as an innovative and effective leader and collaborator speak volumes alone. The guys character is unlike anyone I’ve ever had the grace to work with as evidenced by his insane aptitude for working on projects, pushing them through and administering to the house within his duties as Aedile. I’ve had the greatest opportunity to see this member in action and work alongside him for well over a year. His dedication to house and position is staggeringly humble and effective. This members aims and accomplishments speak more than justly on his behalf and I feel the time is appropriate to administer the rank of Equite 2 upon him.

Apart from his general duties of Aedile, Morotheri was instrumental in producing the logistical behind the scenes structure of the Jedi Vocational Corp. While working on that project he not only assisted in creating activity prompts for participants but created the foundation of the spreadsheets for tracking and progress use. Morotheri was also fundamentally at the helm of the Bastions of Knowledge story arc event, hosting the fiction and events. For the Bastions project Morotheri was responsible for the story creation, competition creation, output and hosting for which he succeeded very well.

For the Jedi Vocational Corps Morotheri has taken the lead by overseeing member registration (creating join forms, advertising on the googlegroup, program recruitment), database managing (created the activity tracking and prompt genre specific spreadsheet), and has taken the beta testing of the Corp specifically the gaming genre (Dubbed the Jedi Knight-Errant vocation) under full force with test subject: Mar Sul.

During Horizons, and Dark Crusades Morotheri has proven to be a capable leader demonstrating qualities gleaning member participation, steady and relevant information notices, and general presence on the google groups. During Dark Crusades Morotheri also participated in several events including the run-ons, wiki event, and graphics for which he earned a Gold Novae.

In the wake of the superb graphics, Morotheri has conducted a venerable graphics conversation on the googlegroups assisting members in the gfx aspirations. This kind of altruistic teamwork and coordination is only seen in members of this caliber. Congratulations, our work is only beginning man!- High Councillor Drodik Va’lence al’Tor

Ever since Morotheri joined us, his passion for bettering and improving House Odan-Urr has been phenomenal. From an excellent term as Rollmaster, to the behind the scenes work for the Jedi Vocational Corps, to his constant and helpful nature and his dedication as Aedile to always be there for the House, he has truly shone as an example of what great members are. His recent performances in the Dark Crusades has been excellent as well, and he has worked on most of our canon fiction in one form or another, from small graphics for websites to full storylines that span – and will continue to span – months.- Rollmaster Elleron Morakei

I think the best place to start for my recommendation is some stats about Moro. Since his last promotion (9 months ago) he has served during this time as both Rollmaster (3 months) and then as Aedile for House Odan-Urr. No easy fit in itself regarding these positions, Moro also lead our house through the Horizon’s vendetta, HOU-Tar feud, Avenger II event, and these past 2 rounds of the Dark Crusades. During these conflicts, Moro was not only a participating member (earning himself 1st place in the graphics events last round) but an aiding member who was always the first to proofread and provide feedback to members that asked. In terms of the Avenger II runon and the recent Khar Delba runon, he was the leading figure in both events where we coordinated our efforts and again providing critical feedback to the groups that saved both from major errors. If this isn’t enough, here is a short list of awards Moro has received since his last promotion that have highlighted his contribution to HOU’s “peace-keeping” efforts in these wars, his TOR participation and the efforts he has performed both as Aedile and Rollmaster before that: Grand Cross of the Dark Side, Dark Cross, Crescent with Emerald Star, Crescent with Sapphire Star, Seal of Affliction x 6, Cluster of Icex7, Cluster of Fire x94, & a Pendant of Blood. There is not much I can say about Moro that his record doesn’t already speak for himself. He is a key member of this House and someone whom we would be lost without. His assistance from proofreading, to graphics tips, and even behind the scenes work preparing HOU for its next big event; is all a cornerstone of what makes HOU run. Because of this and what my peeps can further say, I believe Moro should be recognized with a promotion to Equite Two. Congrats. -Raiju Kang

Reaver Tra'an Reith di Plagia
Primary reason

Arden Karn has been the exemplar of what a member deserving entry into the ranks of the Equites should be. Since his last promotion, he has stepped into a role on the Plagueis summit that is analogous to the position of Quaestor in a clan, and gone even beyond that. A Quaestor does not often have to generate 100% the fictional identity and structure of their unit, Arden did. When he stepped into the role of Battle Team Leader of Karness Muur, he had nothing. With the help of his Battle team XO Celevon, he put together a full unit identity and system while incorporating feedback from the House summit.

Once that work was done, he stepped into the role of leader like he had been doing the job for years. His work leading his own Battle Team during all parts of the Dark Crusade has been nothing short of amazing. He lead one of the Plagueis Run On teams for the Dark Crusade Prologue, driving activity out of many of his members. That prologue would, however, just be the start. During the Crusade proper, Arden motivated his Battle Team to generate over 50 total entries between both rounds, hitting a participation ratio of over 5 entries per member. Arden's leadership, however, did not stop at the walls of his own Battle Team. Plagueis's summit is not a summit of individual units or concerns, it is a true team working for the betterment of the whole. Arden did exactly that during the Dark Crusade. He helped encourage members to be active throughout the House, even those members who are on his "competition" for supremacy in the House: Ajunta Pall. Our members would definitely acknowledge he was an omnipresent force, tracking them down on IRC, Gchat, or email. It cannot be overstated how much of Plagueis's success during the recent vendetta was due to Arden's leadership.

That leadership didn't distract Arden from putting forth the excellent effort we've come to expect as the norm from him. He was the driving force behind his team's first round silver nova effort in the wiki event, and made sterling contributions to the second round's gold novae winning Run On. These two events were probably the most effort intensive of any single events of the entire Vendetta so far, and seeing success there speaks volumes to what he brings to our table.

He has been a force for great improvement throughout the House since the moment he joined, and it gives me great pleasure to put forward my recommendation for his elevation to the roll of Equites.

~ SBL Solus Gar

Arden has impressed me. He's impressed a lot of people. He came into Plagueis, new to the brotherhood, from another club that worked very differently. He adapted with speed, grace, and activity. After earning his double promotion during Horizons to Dark Jedi Knight, he did not stop. If anything, he worked harder.

He worked hand in hand with Alaris Jinn di Plagia to help build an idea on how to approach battle teams that would inspire, innovate, and contribute not only in participation, but in the sense of community. So far, Karness Muur has done an excellent job of contributing to Plagueis' wins over other units. It contributed 24 entries to Plagueis' win on Nfolgai. It contributed 30 entries to Plagueis' win on Khar Delba.

Arden personally contribute six of six, and five of five in these rounds, setting the example and rounding out the full extended Summit's complete participation across the board. He joined the rest of us in showing that dedication and effort pays off. His hard work, personal motivation, and example have helped to create a unit that is on par with submissions from entire other Houses.

For the Prologue Run On, Arden assembled a team, from scratch, with no other Summit members, and proceeded to keep them working to successfully, and enjoyably, complete the event.

During the Crusade, Arden worked with Alaris and Teylas to motivate members that he had established relationships with, without regard to unit, offering to proof, advise, and work with other members to help improve their entries in fiction, run on, graphics, etc.

Arden is what we want leaders to be. He's approachable, passionate, diligent, and successful in not only pursuing his own awards, but in helping others achieve them as well.

This is someone I'm proud to have helped welcome to the brotherhood, and look forward to seeing his hard work continue to help improve not only Plagueis, but the Brotherhood as a whole.

Congratulations Arden. You've earned this one.

OE Tra'an Reith, Quaestor of Plagueis

Unlike the other folks here, I didn't get to see Arden rush through the steps to Knighthood. Within weeks of stepping into Plagueis, he already had a saber to call his own. I saw the activity level that he has maintained for months on end.

Entries turned into crescents and nova. Crescents and nova turned into placements.

He has stepped into the limelight in a great way.

Tra'an and Solus have already pointed enough toward Arden's achievements. His skills have netted him crescents, novae, and recognition. From building and strengthening his battle team up to and through Dark Crusade so far, to the work that he's put in on projects for the Grand Master, both alongside me and separately, Arden has proven himself as an Equite and I wholeheartedly add my recommendation to his promotion.

Welcome to the Equites, Arden.

Despite both of us having been around Taldryan for a long time, it wasn't until the last six to eight months that I was really able to interact much with Tarax. But since then, as I have become more active in the House, Tarax has been constantly and consistently before me. I have had a chance to see what sort of member and person he has grown into, and I am impressed.

Tarax has a way about him that is distinctive. No, I don't refer to the fact that this member has an edge to him and doesn't mince words. I refer to the fact that, unlike many other members, Tarax cares deeply for the club, for Taldryan and for his fellow members. He will go to bat for anyone, pushing for what he thinks is right. He's not afraid to stand up for himself or others, even in the face of persecution because of it. People discard this member as if he were some type of troll; I see someone that is committed to getting things done, who will use the tactics he needs to get your attention.

I have been very encouraged by Tarax's contributions to the House. He has committed himself to the Master Student program and has helped guide new members through the Crusade and their promotion requirements. He has been ever present for all discussions about the House future and the Vendetta events, and he has contributed a lot by the way of useful assistance. He is always on IRC, and frequents the Google+ hangouts of the Grand Master. He has assisted with the projects that Tal members have going in the background, providing useful additions and commentary to things such as the new character sheet proposal. Tarax has been a beacon of activity. And, unbeknownst to many people, he has been this way for a long time.

So I sit here today and I am being asked if Tarax deserves a promotion. I am being asked, as a Grand Master and leader of this club, if I think this person is worth of one of the highest ranks of this club. I am being asked if I think this is a deserving recognition in light of the precedent of people who have achieved this rank before him.

And my response is a resounding YES. Tarax deserves this promotion, and I congratulate him on the excellence that brought him to it. ~ Jac Cotelin, Grand Master

Tarax Esophoros Taldrya Kor is an exceptional member of the Dark Brotherhood. Quick witted, candid, and honest; Tarax often provides the leaders of the Dark Brotherhood with an alternate opinion. Driven by the desire to see the Dark Brotherhood improve, Tarax's ideas have taken poor systems and processes and improved them greatly. In addition to Tarax's constant ability to keep everyone on their toes, he is also a dedicated participant of major Dark Brotherhood events. Tarax's efforts re-energized House Taldryan and helped lead them to a Dark Crusade Round 1 victory. Tarax is a beast and this promotion is overdue. Grats! ~ Darth Pravus, Grand Master

I've known and worked with Tarax for a very long time now and have even served or led him in more than one Clan. He's a...unique individual, we'll say, but someone who has grown over the years in the club. His work with Taldryan has been astounding. He has really stepped up recently to help lead and push its members back into activity. He has also always tried to find ways to help out the DB in general. He is a part of the OFH due to these qualities: Not out for himself, but instead out to better the club as a whole. When compared to many others out there he more than deserves this promotion, and it'll be nice to see him reach those upper- Equite echelons. Congrats!~ Halcyon Rokir Taldrya, Sith Lord

I come here today to extol the virtues of one of the most underrated, unrecognized, and criminally unappreciated members of the Brotherhood. Tarax Eosphoros Taldrya Kor’s contributions to the Brotherhood and to his unit go beyond the mere minimum standards of leadership and cross into the realm of a Brotherhood symbol.

It has been almost 10 years since Tarax first joined the Brotherhood. In that time, he has asserted his influence over a wide range of activities within the organization. Through several terms as a House or Clan leader of Taldryan, Tarax has demonstrated the ability to promote the well being of his members and his unit by mentoring journeymen, marshaling equites and elders in vendettas, and livening up IRC with his unique sense of humor. But beyond his official duties, Tarax has become a fixture in Taldryan and the Brotherhood. Indeed, is there even a member among those who dislike Tarax who could say with honesty that the Brotherhood would be the same without him?

Lastly, Tarax served as my Magistrate, Arbiter Magistrate, and Praetor for over a year when I served as Master at Arms. In that capacity, he assisted in my reforms by compiling data on promotions, medals, families, and Clan names. He also performed the duties of Master at Arms for a substantial portion of promotions, medals, and competitions that were processed during that time. I am ashamed to admit that Tarax was only compensated for his service to me with one Dark Cross. It is time to rectify that oversight.

I recommend that Tarax Eosphoros Taldrya Kor be elevated to the rank of Obelisk Primarch. His continued prominence and commitment to the Brotherhood can only serve to strengthen the organization in the future.

I love you, pole. <3 ~ Syn Kaek, Force Ghost; Former Master at Arms and Chancellor of the Brotherhood

Tarax is by far one of my favorite members in this great club. His pure epicness in the are of trolling shows how much he cares for the welfare of the Brotherhood. His actions in the past two months of the Dark Crusade have propelled his activity and stance in the Brotherhood above many. Going 5/5 in this past month's events alone shows his dedication to Taldryan, and his support for the great effort that the Dark Council has put into this year-long event. Having spent the last 3 and a half years at the rank of Equite 3, I, along with countless others, see that he is beyond fitting to become the rank of Obelisk Primarch. Many of his comrades and fellow DB'ers have been promoted for less, and by grapthars hammer the Brotherhood wants him to be recognized for his raw talent and ingenuity in the arts of awesome. My only wish from him is that he go forth this day as an Elite member of the Brotherhood, and Taldryan, as a Equite 4. By the power vested in the great position of Grand Master and Lord over the Iron throne, I ask that the Lion of Tarthos promote this reputable hulk of a man with his due penance. Forever loyal to this club,

  • Shaz'air Taldrya, Aedile of House Taldryan

Obelisk Exarch Tarax Eosphoros Taldrya Kor is by far one of the most impressive members I have met within the DB. He is keen minded and speak his mind free without sugarcoating for the best of House Taldryan and the Dark Brotherhood.

Outstanding in terms of activity Tarax has been part of the forefront members participating in 10 out of 11 events during the first two chapters of the Crusade. He has also shown his initiative to bring the ways of Taldryan to the next generation by taking on an Apprentice. Lastly and probably most important, Tarax is a steady voice on both of Taldryans Mailing lists (Summit and regular) and a core presence on IRC and the message boards, always willing to help out members from new to old.

His commitment to the Brotherhood and Taldryan in special over the last years makes him deserving this promotion to the rank of Obelisk Primarch, which I am highly recommending now as Quaestor of Taldryan.

~OP Rian Aslar, Quaestor of House Taldryan

"Tarax Eosphoros Taldrya Kor, or more simply Tarax as we call him, is a terrible human being. That said, he has committed himself to Taldryan: taking on an apprentice, helping to marshal the house through the first two phases of the Crusade, and engaged in leadership discussions at both the House and Brotherhood level. His integrity (as demonstrated by his honesty and fairness, unlike some recently promoted people) should be the standard to which all members of this club are measured. He is a credit to his unit and to the Brotherhood as a whole. Promote his ass to Obelisk Warlord or whatever we're calling the rank these days."

~DJM Pandala D. Howlader

I'm writing today to expound upon the many virtues of Tarax Eosphoros Kor, and recommend that he be elevated to the rank of Obelisk Primarch (née Obelisk Warlord).

Tarax has been a staunch member of Taldryan since his return, working tirelessly to help the House return to its former glory. As a constant advisor, a leader whose opinions are never clouded by secondary objectives or motives, Tarax is a true exemplar of Taldryan fortitude.

His willingness to always lend a hand in helping out new members, to try to guide them in what it means to be a member of Taldryan is unparalleled, and his dedication to Taldryan's core ideals is unrelenting.

When it comes to activity, almost no member of Taldryan or the Dark Brotherhood as a whole can put Tarax to shame. He is a constant presence on IRC, regularly joins in with the odd Google+ Hangouts that are currently in vogue, and is an constant and supportive member of both the Brotherhood forums and on the Taldryan mailing lists.

More importantly, Tarax is someone who knows what it is to put the good of the Brotherhood above his own personal reputation. Constantly and unfairly derided for being a troll, simply because he has the audacity to state his opinion, regardless of whether or not it is a popular one. Tarax has shown that his dedication to the Brotherhood outshines the selfish interests that often plague our members, and that he is more than worthy of receiving this promotion.

~ Dark Jedi Master Keirdagh Taldrya Cantor

Tarax has shown excellent dedication and devotion towards the improvement of all things Taldryan (And the DB, as well). He has participated heavily in recent competitions, has taken an Apprentice, and shows diligence in helping new members become antiquated with Taldryan. Tarax often goes above and beyond to help others, proofreading fiction, helping the leadership, and encouraging open communication with the Dark Council through the use of Google+.

Also, he's ******** awesome, and this is long overdue.

-- DA Sithspawn Taldrya

Tarax, you cheeky bastard you. When I met Tarax five and a half years ago, I had three words to describe him. "What. An. Asshole." He was crude, mean, and honestly? I wouldn't of cared what had happened to him. Two and a half years later - he was a completely different guy. You could actually stand to have a conversation with him. Present day? He's one of the top members of Taldryan. Tarax busts his ass every day for this place, doing every Crusade competition imaginable, coaching and assisting the newer members, Tarax has been on the top of his game lately.

I'll let all the people from the stone age tell you all about Tarax and when he was a youngin', but I whole heartily believe Tarax is deserving of this promotion. He deserves it more than anyone else. Rarely do you see an oldie die down and then come back to life with the furiousity that Tarax did, and maintain it no less. I have no doubt in my mind this guy's going to be one of the most active members of this Crusade and afterwards. ~Anubis Annedu, Former Aedile of House Taldryan

Tarax is not just a member. He has become an institution in the Brotherhood. Sometimes wrong, sometimes right, always outspoken, Tarax pushes for clarity and explanations in the things that he doesn't understand, and pushes people to think through all of their decisions. It's not just trolling. This is his way of pushing the Brotherhood forward. With integrity, with honesty, without guile and without malice, he pushes us all to be better members, better leaders, better people. He is willing to put his work where his mouth is. His recent activity for the unit in the crusade is not enough to get him promoted, but it is a great example of how he will go strong on a moment's notice to help his friends, his house, and this club. He has served as an advisor to more members than we can really quantify. Three grand masters and a bevy of retired dark councilors felt it necessary to write him a recommendation for promotion. The fact that he has that many friends in high places isn't just a matter of sucking up...he just doesn't do that. It's a matter of being valuable to this organization. It's a point that he cares deeply for this club, beyond personal glory. That in and of itself has seen others promoted to heights of the club, but when you take into account his work and his advice, it becomes obvious that Tarax is ready for the next rank. Certainly, he is not without his rough spots. He will defend himself and his friends and positions fervently, to the point of near trolling... but that is passion, passion to push the club to greater heights. And yet, when he is proven wrong, he is still strong enough, and humble enough to admit it and apologize. We have too few of those in this club. So, here's to you, the Brotherhood's resident White-Hat troll, the professional devil's advocate, and the voice of informed dissent. Thank you, Tarax. ~Muz Ashen, Dark Lord of the Sith.
