Certain members of the Shadow Clan appeal to me as the faithful golden oldies. As the ones upon whom all can rely. The ones who can be trusted to go about their business, to continue striving to make the clan a better place, and who endeavour to make sure that all of the clan’s facets run smoothly. These individuals tend to work behind the scenes. They are barely mentioned, let alone acknowledged for their efforts. This, in my view, is a massive oversight on the part of myself, the Arconan leadership and, indeed, the Brotherhood as a whole, for it is these ‘faithful golden oldies’ who keep our club ticking. It is these invested individuals who ensure that everything we do is not in vain, and that everyone in their respective areas is being productive, doing the best they possibly can and, most importantly, enjoying themselves.

These faithful golden oldies are the family pets that see generations come and pass, and treat every member of the family with the same love and adoration. They are the light in the darkness, our constant beacon, our unrelenting guide. They are few and far between. They keep our little corner of the internet safe, happy, and enjoyable. They are the ones who stop us from becoming too-heavily invested, those who calm us when we get angry, those who direct us when we are lost. And it is my honour to say that Arcona is the home of one of the Brotherhood’s most influential, important and humble of these faithful golden oldies. Sanguinius Tsucyra Entar is that individual.

He has been a massive boon to Arcona in his long, fruitful tenure in the clan. He has served successfully as an Aedile and as a Quaestor, and every day he proves to myself and the clan why we consider him one of the cornerstones of Arcona’s stability and success. He goes unrewarded and unnoticed in the background, yet he continues to work fervently for Arcona. His passions do not lie in personal progression, unlike most other members of the Brotherhood, but in a genuine want for Arcona and the Brotherhood to succeed and grow. It is about time this kind of dedication is rewarded.

I will begin by listing Sang’s many accolades as a participant and as a leader, before expanding upon what he has done for the Brotherhood at large. This recommendation has been endorsed by various members of the Dark Council and a number of Arconans alike. By the end, I hope that you will see Sanguinius’ many successes, many triumphs, and resultantly his deservedness for promotion.

As a participant, Sanguinius has been a stalwart. With unrelenting consistency, and an evident skillset to match, Sang continues to amaze at every critical juncture. Since his last large award, Sang has received three crescents with Sapphire Stars, two crescents with Topaz Stars, a crescent with a Ruby Star, and a crescent with an Emerald star. He has acquired five Dark Crosses (that’s right, FIVE), a Steel Cross, seven Clusters of Ice, and three (again, you read it right: THREE) Gold Novae. This kind of awards list, although smaller than most, is of considerably more value when one considers the level of awards listed therein. More important still is the fact that he managed to remain so active, participate so heavily, and come out so successfully all alongside his responsibilities as a Quaestor of House Galeres, which, in my strict and structured regimen, is no mean feat at all. Added to that, he has also acquired a Scroll of Foundation for his efforts in mentoring Kalon Dane to the rank of Dark Jedi Knight. Similarly, he managed to place FIFTH in the ACC Championship Ladder (in which he beat now DGM Raken… yeah, scary thought), and actually worked alongside then Combat Master Teroch Erinos to create table of participation for the ACC 5th CHL ladder in regards to awarding Clusters of Ice. And yes, there’s more. He participated FULLY in the internal Arcona events of the Family Feud, Trials of Loyalty, and Operation Rolling Thunder, and showed his worth during the recent Arcona-Plagueis Beyond the Horizons cooperative event. This led to a grand total of 45 submissions, and that does not even factor in his participation within Arcona’s efforts in the first section of The Crusade. In this event he offered another four entries; this far exceeded the clan average of 2 entries per member.

Indeed, the above exposition is a clear expression of Sang’s many accolades, and his many successes in his participation as a member-cum-Quaestor in Arcona. In the Shadow Clan we try to breed a ‘leading from the trenches’-type mentality for our leaders. Sanguinius has been at the forefront of this mentality, and has continued to show why he is a prime candidate for this kind of leadership. However, participation is not his only accolade. No, Sanguinius has been both an avid and extremely successful Quaestor, and resident all-round Brotherhood lackey in his role within the Shadow Academy.

As the leader of House Galeres, Sanguinius has spearheaded a smorgasbord of projects, all off his own back, and all for the benefit of his house and the clan at large. His main work was in transforming the Galere’s fictional background into something more accessible by the members. He did this not only to ensure Galeres was represented properly in comparison to a newly-reformed and reworked House Qel-Droma, but also to provide jobs and activities to a number of the lower-ranking members of the clan. Indeed, over the course of a few months Sang, along with a number of journeymen, revamped the Galeres wiki page, reworked the entire BAC Darkest Night Wikipedia page, and created the fictional from of Galeres – SCEPTER. Along with this ongoing Wikipedia project, which has seen a number of Journeymen reach their requirements for DJK, Sang has also expanded his horizons into his work within Qel-Droma, offering his services to help with Project: Redacted, which saw an entire overhaul of House Qel-Droma’s history. This kind of dedication not only to his own house, but to the other half of Arcona, is vital to Arcona’s continued development. This, together with his work expanding upon a complete Galeres history rewrite, resulting in what Muz affectionately dubbed Space Samurai Version 2.0. These are just his endeavours in clan projects and involvement therein, however. As a leader, he has been much more impressive.

Over the course of the past 9 months, Sang has proofed over one-hundred and fifty ACC and RO posts for various members around the club, both Arconans and otherwise (Yeah, I gasped, too…). Indeed, this statistic goes some way to demonstrating Sang’s ability to support the clan. And by support, I don’t mean rally behind. I mean truly support the people of Arcona. Any help he can give, he offers; any advice he can provide, he does. Honestly, I’ve never known someone to be so invested in people as Sang is. This clan has benefitted tremendously from his guidance and his leadership, and that is not only through his position as a Quaestor, but also his role as one of those at the reins of Arcona’s continued development and progression. I can say with absolute honesty, that I have never met someone so focused on people, so focused on helping, and so focused on ensuring individuals enjoy their experience within the Dark Brotherhood. This is something we can forget as leaders within this club. Politics and pressure begin to wear us down. Sang has remained resilient in the face of these dangers, and ensured that everyone in the clan and further afield appreciates their Brotherhood experience. Nothing quite signifies that like his role within the Shadow Academy.

Indeed, Solari and Ood are better at expressing his endeavours in the SA than I ever will be, but suffice it to say that this man has been a constant within the Shadow Academy for over a year. During that time he has endeavoured to address each exam and each participant with great care. The effects are astounding. That is only reified by his recent reception of both a Dark Savant and Dark Sage for his services to the Shadow Academy. Indeed, this institution is a cornerstone of Journeyman progression in this club, and Sang has been one of the most influential faces in it for over a year. That alone should qualify him for promotion. Equite Three has changed over the years. Since Raken returned to the forefront of leadership, the role has become an identifier of those who are ‘producers’ of Brotherhood wares and activities rather than ‘consumers’. This recommendation alone should prove without a shadow of a doubt that not only is Sanguinius one of the most integral members of one of the Brotherhood’s founding institutions – the Shadow Academy – with his activity and continued want to help others, but also that he is one of the most important members in clan Arcona today. Sanguinius has proved he is both a producer and a consumer, he has proved that his heart lies with the members of our fine club, and he has proved that he is more than worthy of the title of Obelisk Exarch.

Thank you for being a faithful golden oldie, Sang. I hope this goes some way to expressing my gratitude.

~Wuntila Arconae, Consul. Clan Arcona.

Sang is an integral part of the Shadow Academy team. By my count he is one of the longest serving members of the staff, his dedication on this front saw him added to the short roster (now of 18 members) who have earned the Dark Sage: Service degree. He currently has the fastest grading time out of all the current grading staff, currently sitting at a little over an hour, and the only reason it isn't higher because of sleep.

He is currently involved in a project to help update the courses under his charge as Professor of the Department of Lore.

Since I started as Headmaster, Sang has graded 21 exams, I hate to think how many he has done over the extent of his tenure.

Sanguinius is one of the members of the Shadow Academy staff that I dread the thought of losing. He is a great asset to the Academy and the Brotherhood as a whole. His dedication and drive to help foster those wanting to learn is commendable and I can only see continued excellence in his future.

~Solari, Headmaster

Everyone knows my recommendations do suck, I barely write two lines before I get stuck

For Sang I gladly make an exception, In this rhyme, I will outline his perfection

A pillar of Arcona, and Quaestor to boot, Sang is a member of high repute

Activity, motivation and leadership skills, every expectation, Sang fulfills

An awesome professor of the academy as well, Another exploit, but I'm starting to dwell

I'm now going to stop describing Sang's achievements at large, He simply deserves to be an Obelisk Exarch.

Therefore, I propose to promote him today, Signed by James L. Entar Arconae

Sang is nothing short of a scholar and a gentleman rolled into one. The amount of work he puts is not always the most glamorous, or flashy, but is vital to the operation and success of Arcona. I have had the privilege of working with him in multiple capacities, originally as one of my Battleteam Leaders, then as an Aedile, and most recently as a Quaestor. He is always around to help other members, even if they aren't in his unit. He has proofread almost everything I've written when it comes to Vendetta or War times, and has done the same thing with the other members of Arcona. We've honestly lost count of how many ACC posts he's looked over. He is always willing to sacrifice his own time for the sake of others, a trait that is invaluable as a leader in this club. He still manages to place and compete, always earning his fare share of Seals as well as placing in events as well.

Obviously reaching the rank of EQ3 is not just about helping your own Clan. It is about being a producer for the Brotherhood. His work as a Professor is invaluable to the Brotherhood as a whole, and his easy going nature makes him an equally easy point of contact with other units. As a result, he is not just a contributor to Arcona, but a contributing member to the Brotherhood, and thus deserving of taking the next step in the ranks of the Equites.

-Marick Arconae. Proconsul of Clan Arcona.

The modern House Galeres would be nowhere without Sanguinius. He has spent the last year in the job of Quaestor, and I can only say that all of his work has been largely positive. He has always been among the first to send out a motivational email to his members when a major DJB competition takes place. And that’s not to say he does not take part; he usually rivals the most active members of the clan in terms of placements and participation, often coming in the final top 10. That, for me, defines a leader; leading from the front with his troops rather than directing from the rear.

Sang is also one of the most approachable leaders I have ever met; even when I, as a member of Qel-Droma, needed help, he was often the first I would go to as I knew that his advice would be level-headed and sensible. Now that I am Clan Rollmaster, I can still count on him as a friend and ally. And I know I am not the only one; ask any Arconan. Sang will be one of the first names that comes up as a friend to all.

Battlelord Andrelious J. Inahj Clan Arcona Rollmaster

I have the proud Honour to be one of the members recommending Sanguinius for the promotion to Obelisk Exarch. He has been a pillar of support, activity and leadership inside of Arcona and continues to drive House Galeres forward still.

So what to say about Sang, though I am sure everyone has summed it up already I will point out the qualities and dedication toward the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. He has taken his time to improve the activity inside of House Galeres, making sure that members and leaders under him are both happy and c in touch with him. Leading, inspiring members is something Sanguinius has excelled at doing and something not enough people give him credit for.

He has been teaching me the ropes of what it is to be an Aedile inside of Clan Arcona, though his real life is demanding enough he has taken time to step up and help me and the members. Though this is not even touching on the surface of what Sanguinius has managed to achieve inside of the Brotherhood. He has been a Shadow Academy professor for more time than I care to remember, serving the Shadow Academy with dedication and professionalism.

Taking time to mark exams that he is in charge of, when a member takes one of his exams I always seem to see an impressive turnaround time from his no matter what he is doing. He stops and takes the time to mark Members exams quickly and efficiently. Though I could go on about his work others have already covered this area. I will say that he is constantly delivering work for the members of his House. Getting the members of a massive fictional revamp of the House though this was stopped while Dark Crusade is taking place, the work those members have already put in. This gave them opportunity to get involved in the development of the clan.

For what everyone above any myself has already stated I believe that Sanguinius more than deserves to take the next step up the Equite Ladder. Congratulations Sanguinius, keep up the hard work man its appreciated.

Cethgus Tiberus Entar Aedile of House Galeres

I could spend my time listing Sanguinius' achievements as a leader, an active member. It would take me ages to list them all and it'd take more then 10,000 words but I probably could do it...

Instead, I'll trust my fellow authors to write that behemoth down and I'll focus on his work in the Academy. I have known him since he became docent of Arcona History. When the Clan Histories were combined, he became the Professor of Clan Histories. Here, he worked hard to perfect the courses as written down by the clans. Later he took over for me as Professor of Lore. He is currently helping me rewriting the notes of the courses in his department. Based on my experiences, Sangs work for the SA has been exemplary and dedicated to a level worthy of recognition.

The simple fact that he could do this AND do the stuff he did (as written down in the other recommendations) should be a clear indication that he merits this promotion.

~Ood Bnar

Clan Arcona wouldn't be quite where it is at without Sanguinius. His influence extends beyond House Galeres to all the members of the Clan. As a leader he motivates people with words, but most of all he motivates Arconan's with his actions in following through with those words. He is a leader and as such is involved in all the different Summit tasks and details that need tending to, but also leads from the front with sheer activity both in and outside of competitions.

For the last several months I have had the pleasure of serving under his leadership as a Battle Team Leader. In those months I have enjoyed his subtle and adept style of leadership. I am sure that his quiet competent leadership will take him as far within the Clan Arcona and the Dark Jedi Brotherhood as he cares to go and in my estimation has earned him Equite Three.

Enapace has been a very active member of Taldryan ever since he joined the house about 4 months ago. He has fought himself through numerous Gaming events on different supported platforms, ranging from Jedi Outcast to Star Wars: The old Republic in order to achieve the needed amount of Clusters of Fire and the rank-reputation within the Grand Master’s Royal Guard as well as the work it takes to pass the amount of Shadow Academy Exams and Dark Mavens for the Dark Savant Tactics and Combat, which used to serve as his House Summit Task and became Magistrate to the Senechal.

In terms of other activities, Enapace has participated in a total of 16 Competitions since he joined the DJB, earning himself 6 Crescents (including one bearing a Diamond Star), three Merit medals (one Legion of the Scholar and two Dark Crosses), and one Seal of Decimation. Not to mention his constant presence in the house’s IRC channel.

Back in the time before he joined his brothers and sisters in Taldryan Enapace has passed both the Leadership Fundamentals and the Leadership Studies Exams, ran a Competition on his own for the members of House Revan during his term there and finished a quality wiki article about his personal character.

For his continued dedication to this Club and his activity in House Taldryan, I would like to recommend that Jedi Hunter Enapace be elevated to the rank of Dark Jedi Knight. Congratulations on earning your lightsaber, bear it with pride!

OP Rian Aslar Quaestor of House Taldryan

In the past year and four months that Enapace has been a Jedi Hunter, he has been one busy guy! My man Enapace’s activity in gaming is unreal, and in the past couple months alone he has garnered 128 Clusters of Fire for himself. His actions in Jedi Academy and The Old Republic have earned him his place in the Grand Masters Royal Guard as a rank IV, thus proving his worth amongst the gamers of this club. Enapace, along with a fair few are the representing members in the Taldryan portion of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood TOR Guild, and he has done a fantastic job at showing for Tal.

Overall, Enapace has earned 6 Crescents, ranging from Quartz to Diamond, as well as a Legion of the Scholar for his feats in trivia. His prowess in the Shadow Academy is far beyond most, having earned himself a total of 5 Dark Side Degrees, including a Maven in Flight, History, Combat and Philosophy, as well as the outstanding accomplishment by earning a Dark Savant in Tactics and Combat. Enapace/Rial has also passed both Leadership Fundamentals and Studies with flying colors.

This member has participated in 6 total competitions, and has placed in each event he has submitted too. In addition, he has completed countless Flash Points in The Old Republic. He has also ran his own competition, titled “Fly the Copter” while in House Revan and had a decent turnout.

Enapace has gone above and beyond and has completed TWO Tasks requested by the Taldryan Summit for his promotion to Dark Jedi Knight. Those tasks being: earning a Dark Savant in Tactics and Combat, as well as earning Rank IV in the GMRG and earning 80 Clusters of Fire in one month. Rial has done with ease, and despite a busy real life schedule he has pushed through and immerged as a well deserving member to be elevated to the rank of Dark Jedi Knight.

This member, as you can see, is due for his elevation to the coveted rank of Dark Jedi Knight: The final tier in the Journeymen class, and the last step before entering into the Equites. Rial, dude… congrats! Go enjoy your spoils and find yourself a sexy new War Banner, Lightsaber and Robes for Taldryan’s new Knight!

Again, well done, and extremely well earned.

  • Aedile Shaz’air Taldrya, Obelisk Exarch of House Taldryan

Little Enapace...not so little anymore, are ya? Since I get to be a special guest of sorts on this episode of "Promote the Deserving Journeyman", I'll skip the boring mumbo jumbo about Shadow Academy courses and Clusters of Fire; ultimately they're not what a promotion is really about. A promotion, especially the elevation to Dark Jedi Knight, is a measure of experience. In the case of a Knighting, it's akin to a coming-of-age; recognition that one is fully a member of this Brotherhood. Consider this, there are no Knighted Apprentices...only Masters. Enapace has been a part of our Brotherhood for about a year and a half now, and in that time he's had a chance to explore what exactly he enjoys as a member of this club. Everyone has their favourite thing, whether that be composing poetry or downing hardmode bosses in The Old Republic. Now, he has the opportunity to build upon that foundation and help better the experience for everyone. I hope you give it your best shot.

-Ben

I hereby recommend the elevation of Enapace to the rank of Dark Jedi Knight of the Brotherhood.

Over the past year or so, I have gotten to see Enapace mature into his potential within the club. At first, he was all about the quick elevations, but he has since become more involved with the club in more than just some SA courses or JO matches. He has become a fixture in the various IRC channels of the club, and he is beginning to become recognized within the club.

Enapace has completed all of the trials that he has been presented, and he has completed a task specified by his house summit: the earning of a Dark Savant in Combat and Tactics. In fulfilling this last task, Enapace had to branch out to something beyond his normal Jedi Outcast rounds, and he did this by playing TOR levels over the past few weeks. Enapace has also taken on additional responsibility by becoming a magistrate to the Senechal.

Congrats on your promotion, Enapace, and I hope you will continue to participate in the various activities offered by the Brotherhood in the years to come.

Signed, OPM Kell Palpatine Dante

Shikyo has done a crazy amount of work over the last few years, between HSH, creating numerous custom lightsabers for the members as well as creating warbanners. He's been hard at work with the Face Selector and various parts of the possession system. He has served as an advisor to Naga Sadow along with myself, helping the younger generation become the leaders that they are now. I'd say he's more than deserving of a promotion to the next rank. Congrats bro! ~ OPM Fremoc Pepoi, Fist of the Brotherhood.

Can someone check the all-time record for Dark Council tenure? Really impressive what you have accomplished as a DC member. Visual engagement of our members is one of the most important things we offer. It sets the hook. The options Shikyo and his team provides to us are second-to-none. Robes. Sabers. Warbanners. You won't find customization like that anywhere else. And certainly not for free. I appreciate all the work this man has done for us and look forward to his work in the future. - Raken, Shadow Hand

Shikyo has been an outstanding Herald for the Brotherhood. His time and dedication to his job is evident in the robes and sabers that have been added to the selector. I have watched him hone his skills over the years and improve his techniques. His leadership as a member of the DC is invaluable and his love for this club shines through those he has mentored. I am proud to recommend him for this promotion.

~Ashia Kagan Keibatsu, Consul Emeritus

Fix my robes. Fix my lightsaber. Fix my banner. Draw me new robes. Draw me a new lightsaber. Draw me a new banner. I want a lightsaber made out of a blaster with the Dark Side glowing off of the hilt! And the demands of the Herald go on and on. Shikyo has heard these demands for five years, two years at the same rank, and over one year without an award. To say he is deserving of a promotion to Dark Jedi Master is an understatement. Shikyo has performed year after year fulfilling the small weapon/armor/banner fantasies of the entire Dark Jedi Brotherhood. His craft and expertise have produced numerous select-able items for our members to enhance their experience within the Dark Brotherhood. If there were ever a slam dunk recommendation to Dark Jedi Master, this is it. Congratulations!

-GM Pravus, Voice

The problem with Elder promotions is that at this level the recommendation is often worth more than the promotion itself. And honestly, most of us are at a loss for words where Shikyo is involved. We can point at his work, and see the scores of new products he has released in his tenure. We can point at his ever-increasing skill. I remember teaching him the ropes in Corel like it was yesterday... and here he is, beating my own mentor's record for longest serving Herald. I could point at his leadership skill, despite being in a position that doesn't really directly 'lead' anything but a small staff.

But here's what I can say.

There have always been some who say that Shikyo is just my little brother. That he's going to always be in my shadow. I am saying right now that he's not. He's the guy who keeps me motivated to draw, which is one of the things that fuels my own fire for the brotherhood. He challenges me, my ideas, my concepts, and he always comes back with something better, urging me to step up my game, to give everything I have to my work.

How do you reward a guy who leads the leader?

This isn't enough, Shikyo.

But it's a start.

I am honored to have been asked to write a recommendation for James. He is, without a doubt, the person I look up to most in the Brotherhood, and one of the few people I feel the urge to buy a plane ticket to go meet and shake his hand in person.

He has been Seneschal for nine months now, and constantly a member of the SCL staff as either Lord Archon or some form of Magistrate (including Special and Empowered) since his promotion to Dark Side Adept.

My mind boggles when I consider the work he has been a part of in the various efforts to maintain and expand the Dark Brotherhood website. I truly believe that without James, our current website would be crippled or dead, and a replacement website nowhere in sight.

However, thanks to James, the current website is serviceable and a new - faster, better, stronger - website is just around the corner. His work hosting a beta site, and managing the hoards of people who have access to it is commendable. His improvements and additions to it are consistent and top quality. For all this effort, he is never "above" listening to and taking action on feedback; or scrapping an idea if he finds a better solution.

If he needs something tested that he has just implemented, he'll generally ask people who are on on IRC and prompt them for feedback. He even helped me realize I hadn't paid enough attention when testing the new Character Sheets, as he explained what I was asking to be changed about it was already in place.

Once the new main site for the Brotherhood was in a state he was happy with, where the main bulk of the work was complete, he spearheaded the start of the development of a new Shadow Academy site.

He told us to list everything we wanted out of the new site, and not to limit ourselves to what the current site could do. The worst that would happen if we requested something that couldn't be easily coded was that it may be delayed until after launch, or an alternative looked into.

Fortunately, James managed to take our massive list of requests and work flow, and turned it into a workable spec sheet, incorporating all that we had asked for. I have no doubt that under James' guidance the Shadow Academy will become every bit as awesome as it needs to be.

James has also developed a tool called Promotheus, which I believe was once intended to help the summit of Arcona, but now services the entire Brotherhood. This tool helps keep track of Journeymen and when they are eligible for promotions. This has helped dramatically in making sure that no members fall through the cracks when they deserve a promotion.

Promotheus, on the current site, is pretty slow. I understand it takes over an hour to check every member of the Brotherhood currently, but James managed to speed it up dramatically as part of creating the new website. It now take maybe a minute or two to check every dossier, and is so fast that it can be made to re-check a dossier whenever something changes on it (like a member getting a medal.) This will speed up the recognition of a potential Journeyman promotion dramatically.

James has since assisted me in extending Promotheus, such that it can check for people who are eligible for, and eventually award, Dark Side Degrees.

All of the above is to say, James is, in my opinion, one of the most stand up and influential guys in the Brotherhood. His work may not always be in the face of every member, but he touches every members "Brotherhood lives."

Congratulations James, and keep up the Kick-assery.

~Solari, Headmaster

James is one of the few major contributors to the club over the years that I don't know well. So what I'm forced to do is "know him through his work." Each time I log onto the new website, I get to know James a little better. With every click I can see the passion he has for the club. With every new function implemented I can feel how much James cares about our corner of the Star Wars universe.

Most recently I've seen his passion for the material shift into a whole new gear with his work on the new Character Sheet coding process. Literally overnight James had a working model based off the "proposal" CS document. Overnight. We've seldom had that kind of power at our fingertips when implementing new systems. With James on our team I am truly excited to see what comes next. Because with him, every day is like Christmas.

-Raken, Shadow Hand

Hey Jam3z, can you take this ancient website coded by multiple people and convert it to a new language, on a new server, and replicate every single function it currently has, but you need to make it better. Thanks buddy. This sums up what we have asked Jam3z to do for the Dark Brotherhood. The final product is nearing release and we are already stacking new requirements on Jam3z and he is completing them at a rate that can only be described as incredible. Our coders have always been slow to receive awards despite the tremendous amount of pressure and work we have put on them, but those days are long gone. It is truly an honor to recommend our SCL for Dark Jedi Master. Congrats buddy!

-GM Pravus, Voice

Jam3z is a god. He erupted fully formed from the womb of Ada Lovelace and studied with Babbage and Turing. He killed his father, an Olympian god of copper and silicon, using nothing but a few lines of code and a shot of liquor. When he woke up from a fifty year nap, he was offered jobs with Microsoft and apple, Cisco and Bell labs. Instead, he has blessed us with his presence, almost singlehandedly creating a new website for us that is clean and awesome, drawing in elements from suggestions as easily as I am typing this right now. When Shadow, Sarin, Raken and I were discussing character sheets, he got copied and CODED IT UP ON THE SPOT, to explain it better. My mind = blown. So... Jam3z Entar != Dark Side Adept. Please take this as a token, a sacrifice, O god of the code. For all that you have done, and all that I know that you are currently doing, thank you.

Since becoming the Fist of the Brotherhood, I have seen Fremoc dare to challenge authorities who had been long established and individuals who had accomplished a lot before his time. He is firm in his dedication to the Grand Master's Royal Guard and its development and to the improvement of the club in its entirety. When it comes to the elevation into the Elders, I feel that a member must be a keystone to the development of the club, if not a clan at the very minimum. Fremoc is a crucial member among the Sons of Sadow, as well as a major asset among those on the Dark Council.

It is with great honor that I recommend Fremoc Pepoi the rank of Dark Side Adept and all the privelage awarded to his elevation. Congratulations, "Bishop" and welcome to the Elders!

I don't think we've given Fremoc enough credit in the past. If you look at who is active now. We were all either directly or indirectly recruited by him. I'm almost the exception, since Taig recruited me, but I would have never applied for PCON or CON without Fremoc's support. I just wanted to say that. The guy's a total jackass and I'd say it to him but I don't want to look like a suckup.

-Locke, Consul of Clan Naga Sadow

I have watched Fremoc grow as a leader. Not just as the Grand Master's Fist but as a valuable member of the DC. He continually provides support to the clans and houses, mentors and advises members and keeps the gaming alive. I am proud of the work he has done for us and for all the time spent in tireless service to the DB.

-Ashia Keibatsu, Consul Emeritus

One of my first interactions with Fremoc as a Deputy Grand Master was his emailing me to ask what more he could be doing. When someone who is already doing everything this man does for us comes to you and asks what more could we ask of him, well, it's humbling. Gaming is probably the one area of the club I participate in the least. I only get so much time and I have to make sacrifices somewhere. But when I do make it to Fremoc's corner of the club, I am always impressed by the completeness and breadth of his work. If you can get someone like myself to actually want to be part of the GMRG, you must be doing something right.

Thank you, Fremoc, for everything you do for us. And thank you for the refreshing attitude you bring to the equation of always wanting to do more.

-Raken, Shadow Hand

Obelisk Primarch Fremoc Pepoi has established himself as one of the most active Dark Council members in the history of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. He has taken the realm of gaming and thoroughly refined and revamped all aspects resulting in massive improvements for our club. Fremoc has meticulously studied new games across a plethora of platforms and provided the Dark Brotherhood with ever increasing forms of activity. Additionally, he has revamped the Cluster of Fire process ensuring equality and fairness in the awarding of the medal across multiple games and platforms. Fremoc has also taken on the burden of serving not only as the Fist and Commander of the Guard, but also as the Dark Brotherhood's TOR guild leader. The position of MMO guild leader is often more than one individual can handle, but Fremoc has conducted it while serving on the DC, a feat truly amazing. It is my honor to recommend Fremoc for the rank of Dark Adept. Welcome to the big time.

-GM Pravus, Voice

Let me first start off by saying it is my great honor and privilege to write this recommendation. For the person I am writing this for is more then deserving. I have yet to see a more dedicated, more hard working and consistent DB member. Fremoc quite literally dedicates several hours of every single day to his position and to the club. In the past year he has literally only taken 9 days of "off" time. He is FIST all day every day. Juggling 20 things at a time and adding more to the plate by the minute.

In the past year alone he as completed an incredible number of things. In fact, too many to list. Just to name a few Fremoc created the ToR guild and has maintained it since before launch. Not an easy task to say the least. It requires daily attention. The guild has been revamped and fine tuned numerous times over the last year. We are still over 300 strong, running several raid groups and maintaining a steady group of dedicated players. I have worked with him to create a detailed management structure to ensure the guilds continued success. The ToR guild is like a newborn baby. Needing constant care. Fremoc does it very well.

Outside of the ToR guild he is responsible for maintaining the Rites of Combat which have undergone numerous revisions. The RoC is an ongoing project. To which several of his Magistrates have been assigned. Which brings me to his staff. Fremoc tends to have 3-4 Magistrates working on projects at all times. Takes quite a bit of delegation and management skill to ensure the work is getting done in a timely manner. On top of the magistrates and his praetor he also has a few dedicated members working on side projects and beta testing games.

The position of FIST is intense and extremely time consuming. Fremoc is by far the most organized person I know. His calendar and his email are insane. He is on top of it at all times. He literally eats, sleeps, breaths DB. He takes any task no matter how great or small head on. Fremoc's ambition is limitless. There is not a day that goes by that he isn't consulting me about an idea he has for the club. On top of his regular time consuming duties he creates side projects for himself to try out new and exciting things for the club.

In my limited experience in the DB I have found it rare to see someone consistently dedicated. Fremoc is. His desire to better the club and help it grow is inspiring. He has single handedly paid for several of the servers such as JA/JO/Teamspeak out of his own pocket for several years now so that we can all enjoy gaming in the club. And he does so without being asked and without expecting even so much as a thank you.

I could go on for days singing his praises. He has done so much for this club and continues to do so. He is what our Elders should be. Fremoc has been an inspiration to me and several others. Fremoc I wish you knew how very much you are appreciated. Your hard work, dedication and consistency are unprecedented. You always say I am your right hand and I am honored to be by your side wearing elephant shoes with you :P I cannot wait to see what the future holds for you in this club. Don't stop doing what you are doing. Your mark on the club has truly made a difference.

Congratulations Fremoc. I am so proud of all that you have accomplished and will accomplish in the future. -Kalia, Praetor to the Master At Arms

My determination on whether or not a member is an Elder is remarkably simple and complex at the same time. Is the person an Elder? Are they well respected by the membership? Would the Club be worse off without their influence? Can we see directly the results of their work on a high level? Are they a leader? Can they get projects done without having to be told that they need doing?

Over the past few months, I have been watching Fremoc, keeping my eye on him to see how he handles things, how he handles adversity, how he handles stress, how he handles all of the little detritus that the world throws at any person who cares enough to put himself out there in front. It's a tough gig, and all too often, people capitulate under the weight of it.

Fremoc has not.

It is not about making mistakes. We all make mistakes. It is in how one recovers from them. Fremoc has used his mistakes to make himself better, to make his staff better, to refine the brotherhood in those spheres that he can influence. He refuses to let those who only see the negatives drag him down, and has kept his activity level painfully high. He soldiers on, working harder than anyone I have seen in his role.

Fremoc is not a follower. He is a leader.

And that makes him an elder.

NOV Spectre is doing a remarkable job in completing the tasks required for promotion. He has passed three Shadow Academy courses including DB Basics, has registered on the forums, and has been active on IRC. This merits a promotion to Acolyte.

Congrats Spectre! Keep up the great work.
