Primary reason

The elevation of a Journeyman to an Equite requires consistent activity and dedication to the Dark Brotherhood. Dark Jedi Knight Valhavoc has clearly demonstrated these key requirements through his multifaceted approach to the Dark Brotherhood. Valhavoc is active in fiction competitions, run-ons, graphics, gaming, and Google Hangout events. His placings in the Arcona internal feud, the Horizons Vendetta, and the current Arcona vs Plagueis feud have clearly indicated Val's dominance as an active member. Additionally, Val has excelled beyond his peers by running multiple competitions, rewriting the D3 Cluster of Fire Requirements, and serving as a Battle Team Leader. Val's leadership in our club cannot be defined by the time he has spent in official positions, but must be quantified by his time encouraging our membership and leading by example. Our new Deputy Grand Master has declared an era of team focused members who lead even when not in titled positions. Valhavoc fits this description and could serve as the definition of it. The Dark Jedi Brotherhood would be a much better place if we could find EQ4s with the pedigree and performance of this Dark Jedi Knight.

~GM Pravus, Voice of the Brotherhood.

There are very few who make an impression on the summit the minute they come onto the scene. Socorra was one. So was Dash many, many aeons ago. Valhavoc is the latest to earn this accolade. I have not been so amazed by anyone in my entire DB career, save for those either now currently on the Dark Council, or those who are well on their way. Glenn is an amazing member of the Brotherhood, and a fantastic person to boot. He defines the term polymath. Truly. The man has earned a staggering 1,475 clusters of fire since August. This in itself is incredible, but added to that is his consistent activity in fictional events, graphics events, and almost any event you could conceive of in this club. Added to this is his recent sweep of the entire Beyond the Horizon Feud. This man scored a massive 255 points. The next highest individual was none other than former Headmaster Troutrooper with 212. He placed in the top five in a massive 9 events, of which 7 included him within the top three. He also managed to attain THREE first place finishes. This is remarkable from a man who works a solid 45 hours a week, and has a family for which to care. This secured him numerous crescents, and a position in Arcona’s competing elite. The amount of time Val is willing to dedicate to the Brotherhood is incredible. And the work he does produce speaks volumes about his ability and his talents.

I have been astounded by the sheer rate at which Glenn has developed. And I am honoured to call him a member of Arcona. You see, Arcona is founded on development. The summit members of current have been successful in maintaining the first clan of the Brotherhood in its development. They have been successful in carefully nurturing it to supremacy. The same can be said for our members. They are nurtured. Glenn, however, didn't need nurturing. He hit the ground running. I think this is why he burst onto the scene so dramatically. After all, we haven't seen such talent or drive in over a year. Glenn's mentality has secured him a position on the summit in the future. His ability to look beyond our 'nurturing' is a sign of things to come. He is a pioneer, a maverick. I think this is truly why I feel he deserves to be promoted beyond the 'petty' ranks of the Journeymen. He has earned so much more, not only through the sheer amount of work that he has completed, but also for his drive, and his passion to succeed. And this is all for Arcona. I've not once heard him request or hint at reward. This cannot be said for even members of the upper summit. In short, it truly is an absolute privilege to write for Glenn today. He deserves everything he receives, and some. I think its now time he is rewarded properly. I'll let his Quaestor and Aedile give you the nitty gritty about what material accolades he has attained. I just want to say that Glenn is a man who hasn't yet put a foot out of place. And I don't expect him to, either. No, that's not me making a quick dig. I genuinely, wholeheartedly, fully believe he hasn't got it in him to undermine, sabotage, or damage. A member normally gets admitted to the ranks of the Equites after serving as an Aedile for three months or longer. I feel Glenn has done more than this; he has smashed all expectations for ANY Dark Jedi Knight. He has surpassed even some of the Brotherhood's top gamers in his Clusters of Fire, he is well on the way to being one of the winners of the current Arcona-Plagueis feud. He is, for all intents and purposes, incredible.

To deny him a promotion would be to deny an exemplary member of the Brotherhood a truly warranted reward. Congratulations, Glenn.

~Wuntila Entar Arconae, Consul of Clan Arcona.

don't use that term lightly, and I might have only used once before with Socorra, but Valhavoc is a prodigy member. He is one of those guys that just "gets" the DB. He's one of those members that when you have a conversation with him, or have a chance to work with him in any capacity - be it as a leader, subordinate, or teammate in Alien Swarm - you have to stop and realize that he is only a DJK. How can that be right? He is one of the most level headed people I have ever had the pleasure of working with in my 4 years in the Brotherhood. I've never seen him even get angry. He just kind of finds a way to keep moving forward, and has the progressive thinking and mindset this club so desperately needs moving forward. I see the sky as the limit for Valhavoc - and I fully believe that he is beyond his years in terms of being a Dark Jedi Knight. I warmly welcome him into the rank of the Equites. Congratulations, Val ;).

~Marick Arconae. Proconsul. Clan Arcona.

I’m writing this recommendation today for Valhavoc, a recent addition to Arcona’s summit. Val has been a massive boon to Arcona and the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. Val came to us originally through The Old Republic and I’ll be the first to admit that I didn’t think ToR would be of any benefit to the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. However, Valhavoc has proven me wrong by his dedication and efforts. Since joining Arcona, he has risen through the ranks of the Journeymen to this one last step to the ranks of the Equites. Since his promotion to Dark Jedi Knight, Valhavoc has received 1,475 Clusters of Fire (A MASSIVE AMOUNT). He has also been given two Pendants of Blood for his gaming efforts alongside those Clusters of Fire.

Since his promotion to Dark Jedi Knight, Valhavoc has received two Crescents with Emerald Stars, three Crescents with Topaz Stars and two Crescents with Amethyst Stars, an Anteian Cross, a Grand Cross of the Dark Side, a Cluster of Ice, seventeen Seals of Affliction, a Bronze Nova, a Gold Nova and a Seal of Loyalty alongside his Clusters of Fire. All this is impressive activity for a Dark Jedi Knight, but to see this much done in less than six months is amazing. And this is BEFORE we add the crescents he received for his participation within the Beyond the Horizon event.

Val has also recently been appointed Battleteam Leader of the newly created Dark Forge Battleteam, the latest addition to the Galeres roster.Valhavoc worked with the Summit to create a Battleteam Proposal and responded to constructive criticism to develop a fantastic concept into reality. He created a wiki page for his team and has plans to expand on the page, as well as working on a couple of wiki projects for Galeres. Val also endeavoured to promote activity within the Beyond the Horizon event through his battleteam and even further afield.. His members have responded well to his encouragement, putting out a copious amount of activity. Valhavoc has also served as Magistrate to the Fist for the past three months, where he worked to update the CF table for Diablo 3, as well as putting in recommendations for Clusters of Fire for members. The update to the CF table for Diablo 3 was a welcome change to the Gaming Department, helping to support Diablo as a supported game for the Dark Brotherhood.

Valhavoc has also run several competitions encouraging The Old Republic gamers to participate and get involved with the Dark Brotherhood. These garnered interest from quite a few members, increasing activity within the club. Valhavoc has only been with Arcona for the past 11 months, returning from a long period of inactivity, but boy has he impressed. When I think of the future of Arcona, I often think of Val and I know that he won’t fail to disappoint. His impressive showings in Trials of Loyalty, Horizons and the Arcona-Plagueis Feud allow one to see just how much Valhavoc wants to be involved in the Brotherhood and the dedication and love he has for the club. As such, I would like to recommend that Valhavoc be raised to the rank of Sith Warrior post haste. I’m ecstatic to welcome Valhavoc into the brotherhood within the Brotherhood, the ranks of the Equites. Congratulations, Val.

Sanguinius Tsucyra Entar

Quaestor of House Galeres

I am honoured to be writing this recommendation for Valhavoc to be promoted into the ranks of the Equites. Sang has summed up his tremendous level of activity since his promotion to Knight, so I guess I should follow on from there. Before I moved to Galeres, I was aware of the rising member, his activity was impressive enough, yet he was always trying to do more than that, get himself involved in the clan. He constantly brought his opinion and ideas out whenever he could, having an input into the development of the clan.

His name was always brought up with his work inside of Horizons, in which his activity saw him gain an impressive seventeen Seals of Affliction, he participated in many of the events as well as managing to gain a Gold Nova as well as a Bronze Nova for his hard work, his participation on this event went to help achieve the first place that Clan Arcona gained.

But when I really truly started to see how determined to improve the house and clan he was in was when he gained the position of Battleteam Leader.Valhavoc was given a completely blank slate with this team; he was required to get the core members from the team right up to writing up the wiki background for his Battleteam and naming it. The team was brought to life with the name of Dark Forge, as well as having the founding members thanks to the work put in by Valhavoc.

What was next was the in detail proposal that he wrote up for the team, outlining where he wanted to take the focus of what the team would be doing. As well as how the creation was explained. Once this was completed he then took it to the wiki, creating the wiki page that can be found today, though it still needs to be expanded the basis of the team has been created quickly and efficiently.

He has already smashed out a report, and keeps in constant contact with the members of his team, this can be through his IRC presence or via Email. Making sure that his team participate in all events that are currently being ran, this can be seen by the members of his team that have signed up for the current Feud taking place between Clan Arcona and House Plagueis. He is also participating in this event and submitting to many of the competitions that are available to him.

Now looking away from what he has already achieved in his time within the Arcona Leadership, his presence as a constant gamer is second to none, every time I check my inbox I will always find an email for Valhavoc being awarded Clusters of Fire. He constantly participates with fellow Clan Members in gamers working as a team to complete challenges on Diablo 3.

I could go on all day about how much time, effort and dedication Valhavoc has put into Clan Arcona, but I believe that Sanguinius and I have summed up the reasons why this member is deserving of the promotion to Equite 1. I am proud of all the hard work you have done Valhavoc, congratulations on joining the ranks of Equite. And I look forward to seeing what you produce in the future.
