Since his return to active status within the House, Alaris has demonstrated his resolve to continously balance his duties as first Left Hand, and now Right Hand of Justice, with a desire to grow the House, and mentor newer members. To this end, at a time where having just recently closed Primus Pilus due to its dismal failure and poor leadership, Alaris sought out another member, Arden Karn, to build a proposal to not only create a new battleteam, but two of them. The idea behind it being to mimic Arcona's successful work with Galeres and Qel Droma before being re-clanned. He worked very hard with the Summit to come up with a name that was fitting for his House, and to then select an XO that would essentially be his functional right hand, and Aedile should we reclan. He and Teylas have worked diligently in crafting a wiki page, a back story, and designing the thematic elements of their BT so as to be appealing to members.

Alaris continues to be available to the membership for editing, proofing, and general idea mentorship and sounding. He has no qualms about giving it straight, and often seeks to take an idea that doesn't work, and to help the member mold it into something not only useful, but different and attractive.

Alaris has really stepped up in working with the Summit on ideas, proofing of fictions, of wikis, and generally being someone who pitches in wherever he is need, despite the demands on his time from his duties in the Chamber and RL.

He really is the epitome of the member we want to promote to EQ4, as a facilitator of others, a provider of new content, and a good example of what hard work and dedication can achieve.

There comes a time when it becomes necessary for us to recognize the outstanding members of our organization by matching their rank with their incredible fortitude and love for this club. Alaris is one such member that is behind the scenes on many fronts, but I will only point out his Chamber work. Since coming back on as Left Hand of Justice, my first Left Hand appointment during my tenure, he has been a guiding arrow of conscience and morality for this club, myself, and the Chamber ofJustice at large. Jumping head on into the fray, Alaris authored and co edited the Amendment of the Dark Covenant that allows Hands to now serve year long terms, and Appeals Panel members to serve 9 month terms. He served as the defense for my first two cases, proving to be both impartial and invaluable as an aide to both the accused and myself. When it came time for me to select a Right Hand, he was there once more ready to jump into the fray with me, this time as the prosecution for his third overall term as a Hand. His brilliance shown through during #036, his first expulsion case that required all hands on deck, literally. His measure of work ethic matches my strict requirements for logging all evidence and he himself tends to catch things in a case before I myself notice them. On top of this, Alaris has also an extensive Dark Covenant amendment soon to come that will change how the Left Hand of Justice interacts as a position. His work load over the last year has been extensive, and I can honestly say that with the recent influx of complaints, that he is the most learned Hand of Justice that this office has ever seen. I can only hope that he continue to evolve and grow as a member that I know he can be. Not only that Rathus has earned himself entrance to the Antei Combat Center by passing the ACC-Basics exam and getting his first Character Sheet approved, he has also put a fairly amount of time in starting on his personal Wiki-article with a background of his life before the DJB. In addition to his other achievements that make him worth a promotion. These achievements were as stated below:

Jason is a long serving member of the Brotherhood and a dedicated and active member of the house. Though like many of us he has real life obligations, he has always found time to assist Tarentum. He has been instrumental in the house's recent growth and success, and I believe that he has more than earned a promotion to Archpriest.

Jason has served as my aedile for the last seven months and during that time he has been an active leader and an active member of the house. As a leader, Jason stepped up to the plate to help me guide Tarentum through some troubled times. The house was on the verge of closure, up to the point where the Grand Master had given an ultimatum that our continued existence would depend upon the relative success in the Horizons vendetta. Jason took the job of Aedile, knowing full well that he was possibly going to be the last Aedile of House Tarentum, and that the failure would reflect upon him. Nevertheless, he took on the job without hesitation and has since been awarded a Steel Cross for all of his efforts.

Jason helped designed “Operation: Supremacy,” the first multi-event house competition hosted by Tarentum in a long time. For his assistance, he was awarded a Dark Cross. Jason also earned a Seal of Loyalty before his appointment as Aedile and participated in numerous competitions, both before and after his appointment. He has earned several crescents. Jason also helped develop the cooperative feud “New Horizons” with House Odan-Urr in the aftermath of Horizons. While Jason's personal participation was plagued by the start of a new job in real life, he did send emails to the house during both Horizons and New Horizons, encouraging participation and success.

Asides from participating himself, encouraging the participation of others, and assisting in the administration of the house, Jason has also taken the time to be personally involved with members. Jason took over the training and development of Levathan, ultimately seeing him earn his promotions to Dark Jedi Knight. Jason also currently has two other students that he is trying to get active.

I look forward to continued work with Jason as we continue to rebuild Tarentum. We have several promising members and I know that Jason will serve as an excellent guide, teacher, and role model to them, as he does to the entire Brotherhood. If Tarentum was still a clan, he would have received the “Tarentae” name by now. A promotion to Archpriest is the least that can be done.

As of late Miranda Goto has been one of Taldryans most active Journeymen. Despite a stressful Real Life schedule Miranda has managed to participate in numerous House wide competitions and snagged herself some Crescents as well as a Dark Cross for her activity. She frequently communicates with other members of the house in #taldryan and participates in Competitions. As required for a member of the Sith Order, she's passed the Sith Core exam, she also put reasonable effort in her personal wiki article by adding large parts of her characters personal history and successfully qualified in the ACC. Ambitious, Miranda eagerly stepped in as the opportunity arose to create the background history of some Taldryan NPC’s on the Wiki, and since it has been far more than a full month since her promotion to Protector it is my great pleasure to submit this promotion request to the Master at Arms Office. Congrats on the promotion to Guardian, Miranda, it’s well earned!

Miranda Goto has been nothing short of an excellent addition to the Wardens of Unity. She has proven her activity as a member of our battleteam countless times; her participation in House competitions as well as battleteam discussions and activities has been an absolute inspiration to myself and to others. Her willingness to show up and be active has been proven time and time again before even being a member of the Wardens and continues to do so to this day. Miranda's results and participation shine as well, proven by the fact that through the course of Taldryan's holiday events she took out multiple crescents in the span of a week as well as many other crescents and one of the first Dark Crosses awarded in recent times.

Her exploits and achievements are most definitely worthy of this promotion - and even more beyond that. I look forward to her tackling the rank of Guardian and moving on to Jedi Hunter and Dark Jedi Knight!

Shadowkind has completed all the requirements for the rank of Guardian. He has spent far more than the required four weeks in the rank of Protector. He has joined us on multiple occasions on IRC and participated in a number of competitions within Plagueis and the Brotherhood (Chronicles of Ascendency: March (#5553), Once More Into the Breach! (#5486), Tides of Battle (#5487), Will you be a Valentine? (#5447), and The Taking of Si'Tilk RO (#5514)). With his Sith Order Core exam under his belt, he also completed ten other Shadow Academy exams (General Warfare, Planets and Stars, Combat Tactics I, Combat Tactics II, Hand-to-Hand Combat, Lightsaber Studies, Freighter/Transports Studies, Astronomy, Light Jedi Studies, and Obelisk Core exams). His character fiction is detailed and well crafted. His wiki article is very well developed, complete with hand-drawn character images and thoughtful history.

Shadowkind has earned the rank of Guardian. His promotion has been long overdue, and I am privileged to welcome him into a new rank.

Rian is a member that I wish we had more of.  I remember him as a wee-lad (I'm actually pretty sure he still is a wee-lad, but anyway...) who wanted to do well by Taldryan.  Over time he has proven good on those intentions.  Being QUA of this House, especially at this point in time, is a fairly thankless job.  It is not a situation that I would want to put anyone in.  However, Rian does the very best he can and always has.  He knows he has more to learn, and he wants to learn.  He has a great personality that makes you want to like him.  He does what he does because he wants to make this club better.  I have never seen him gripe about rewards or promotions.  He wants to build an inclusive community and sometimes his goodness gets taken advantage of by others.  However, if we had more members like him in this club then it would be a much better place.  Rian has more than earned this elevation to Equite 2 and I hope I get to see him continue to learn and grow in this club ~ DP Halcyon Rokir Taldrya, Sith Lord

Rian has been capably running Taldryan for nearly half a year, and served in various positions of authority of that for over a year previously.  In his time as Quaestor, Rian has grown in both confidence and ability, constantly looking to engage the younger members, and listen to the advice of his elders.  Being a leader in Taldryan is no small task, you're saddled with the mantle that has been worn by some of the greats in the DB, and if that's not hard enough, you then actually get to be put in charge of keeping their insanity measured.  He's overseen the promotion of Taldryan's first DJK in lord knows how long, and has been actively encouraging younger members to take up the responsibility, and start laying claim to part of Taldryan's legacy for themselves.  I don't know how the weird promotion systems work these days, but in any system, Rian's worthy of a promotion. ~ DJM Keirdagh Taldrya Cantor

Since I’ve been in and out of the Rogues for the past year, there’s been one constant when it came to Taldryan: Rian’s activity, motivation, and drive for the unit to succeed. I first really noticed him when he became the House Aedile under Sidarace, and then seriously started paying attention as the months moved on. Since his elevation to the House Summit, Rian has done his absolute best to keep Taldryan afloat and competitive amongst the rest of the Dark Brotherhood, learning quickly on his feet and guiding the House through a controversial Vendetta event. In many ways, he has outperformed members which are many ranks and years his senior, never once giving up or backing down from the challenges that face him and the House he so proudly leads. Rian Aslar has served in various leadership positions in Taldryan since before the Clan became a House, and has steadily made his way to the top by being the most committed to keeping Taldryan going strong. As part of that effort, he's been one of the forerunners of activity in the last few vendettas, leading by example in the way of Tal leaders past. Even though he doesn't have a lot to work with (what with those damned old people loafing around), Rian constantly gives his all for both the House and its members. Rian has also put a lot of effort into guiding the new crop of Tal younggins, even taking on an apprentice in Mirus Cavatio. Despite the timezone difference between himself and most of the House, Rian makes sure to be around to help the nubbins complete their promotion requirements and ensure they have enough activities and competitions to keep them entertained and active in between the major events.

 

 As part of his duties, Rian keeps in touch regularly with the members in both email and IRC. He keeps everyone up to date and well-informed about both Brotherhood and House matters. There are also several large fiction projects currently taking place in Taldryan that Rian is overseeing the development of. Somehow, he's managing to utilize both the old people and the new to do a complete overhaul of the House's various fictional aspects--most notably the military overhaul and the re-write of the Taldryan  dominion. In this capacity, Rian serves as a go-between for the multiple generations of members and helps to keep the House united and strong. Rian Aslar has served in the Brotherhood for a total of 3 years and 7 months, and has been at the rank of Equite 1 for over a year and a half. During that year and a half Rian was Taldryan's Rollmaster for a year, Aedile for 3 months and more recently he has been Taldryan's Quaestor for 6 months. Through the past 6 months, Rian has shown his dedication and resolve to getting Taldryan to a new level of Awesome.   Single handedly Rian has acted as acting-Rollmaster for Taldryan, greeting new members in the house with original emails, making sure the members are keeping up with their promotion tasks, and was the driving force at seeing both Malfrost Xeon and Mirus Cavataio become Dark Jedi Knights. Rian is also working hard with myself to get more members promoted, awarded and recognized.    Since I closed Phoenix Battleteam during my tenure as QUA over a year ago, Rian has been on the lookout for an eager member to take up the position of BTL and rise up with a brand new BT. As soon as Mirus showed interested in a new Taldryan BT, Rian quickly hopped in to see what he could do to get one rolling; and shortly afterward we had a fantastic BT proposal from Mirus, and Rian set things in motion. We now have an active and productive Battleteam: Warden's of Unity.    While Rian served as my Aedile during my term as Quaestor, he managed to hold regular competitions, and to date has run 29 competitions in the past 6 months. Rian is no newb in participating himself, his reign as the top placer in the VOICE’s Load the Can(n)ons went on for many months. Rian not only knows how to lead by example, but he truly enjoys being active in the DB outside of his QUA duties. I envy his ability to keep going.   Rian’s earned 9 Crescents in the past months, as well as a Dark Cross and a Steel Cross for his activity alone. He’s also put out 4 reports since his appointment to Quaestor.   Rian’s presence on the DB mailing list and on IRC is fantasdtic, even despite his time-zone difference with most of the other members in the DB. There is little that gets past Rian’s radar, and when if it does, he quickly finds his way onto any situation.   This member has been an un-replacable member in this club, especially in Taldryan. Helping with the Taldryan Wiki revamp, he’s been on top of making sure everything follows suit and gets completed, despite losing key members in the middle of the process.  

There is little Rian can’t do that he sets his mind too, and this promotion is more than deserving.
