<i>Ginnafae stood in a dark room with a single shaft of light flowing down onto her, amidst an otherwise impenetrable darkness.</i> Darkness is infinite,<i> the Guardian thought to herself.<br /><br />"That is correct," came a familiar voice from the void somewhere near the Guardian. "You have reached a certain plateau in your training, a place where you may either embrace the darkness or reject it. The decision not is one you should make lightly." It was the grave voice of her Master, Invictus. <br /><br />"I understand," said the Guardian, a bit shaken but not visibly so.<br /><br />The Guardian knelt down and focused on her shadow, flickering beneath her in the dim light. It seemed to be struggling, though she remained unmoving. Suddenly the shadow lifted from the ground and floated before the Guardian in a liquid-like blob. As though taking a ball, she threw her shadow straight up toward the source of the light. The ball of shadow ascended and, at its zenith, seemed to explode into a million shards of black. <br /><br />Only darkness remained. <br /><br />The Guardian could feel the presence of her shadow returning in the darkness and spoke out. <br /><br />"I am ready." <br /><br />"Indeed you are, Apprentice," he responded, and for the Guardian the darkness seemed to lift and she could discern the outlines of multiple bodies around her. As she stood, her Master again called out to her.<br /><br />"Light is limited." <br /><br />"Darkness is infinite," was her firm reply. <br /><br />"Stand now, a Jedi Hunter."<br /><br />All of the figures surrounding her chorused simultaneously:<br /><br />"ARCONA INVICTA!" <br /><hr width="90%"><br />I, Invictus, hereby request a promotion for Guardian Ginnafae, who has fulfilled all requirements for promotion under the Dark Jedi Brotherhood's promotion guidelines as follows:<br /><ul><li>Ginnafae has earned one merit award (a Dark Cross).</li><li>Ginnafae has placed in three competitions (Dozens of Games Round 3, May the 4th Be With You, Dozens of Games Round 5).</li><li>Ginnafae has completed two ACC matches.</li><li>Ginnafae has completed a five page character fiction.</li><li>Ginnafae has passed the Leadership Studies and Leadership Fundamental Courses.</li><li>Ginnafae has participated in 11 competitions.</li><li>Ginnafae has registered on the DJB Forums.</li><li>Ginnafae has logged onto IRC and visited #Arcona</li><li>Ginnafae has served six weeks as a Guardian.</li><br />As Ginnafae has met all the necessary qualifications, I respectfully request her promotion to Jedi Hunter.<br /><br />In Darkness,<br />-SBL Invictus, Quaestor of House Qel-Droma
