<I>Acolyte Ryan Neale stood quietly on the stage in the meeting hall of House Qel-Droma, in front of the entirety of its membership, along with the friends and allies he had made throughout the Clan. His Rollmaster, Timeros rose from his seat on the stage and the soft conversations diminished to silence.<br><br> "Acolyte, you have proven yourself yet again and have come to this place to be recognized in front of your brethren. Is this correct?"<BR><BR> "Yes, Master," the Acolyte said and bowed. <BR><BR> "Then kneel," the Rollmaster ordered as the Acolyte acknowledged the command and took a knee before him. <BR><BR> “Today, the Summit recognizes Acolyte Ryan Neale and has, by consensus, willed that he be recognized as a Protector.“ The Rollmaster lifted his hand and drew energy from the room around him and formed a shadow that seemed to ooze its way over the Acolyte, covering him in darkness. <BR><BR> "Light is limited," spoke the Rollmaster. <br><br> "Darkness is infinite," said the Acolyte. <BR><BR> "Then as such, Protector Ryan Neale, rise and accept your new station within your Clan."<BR><BR> The applause was thunderous as the newly elevated Protector rose and faced his brethren. He raised his arm and shouted, <BR><BR> "ARCONA INVICTA!" <BR><BR></I> I hereby request a promotion for Acolyte Ryan Neale, who has fulfilled all requirements for promotion under the Dark Jedi Brotherhood's promotions guidelines, as follows:<BR><BR He has started working on a Character History on the Wiki. He has passed the Obelisk CORE, Philosophy I, Lightsaber Studies, Combat Tactics 1, Hand to Hand Combat Shadow Academy Courses. <BR>

As the Novice's Rollmaster stood, the Novice took a knee before him.<BR><BR> The Novice's Rollmaster, Timeros, raised a hand and conjured a dark mass of vapor, a coherent patch of darkness.<BR><BR> "As your superior in the Dark Brotherhood, I personally attest to your achievements and am proud to confer on you the rank of Acolyte. <I>Guardian Saarin Vahn stood in a dark room with a single shaft of light flowing down onto him, amidst an otherwise impenetrable darkness. </I>Darkness is infinite,<I> the Guardian thought to himself.<BR><BR> "That is correct, young one," came a voice from the void somewhere near the Guardian. "You have reached a certain plateau in your training, a place where you may either embrace the darkness or reject it. The decision is one you should not make lightly." <BR><BR> "I understand," said the Guardian, a bit shaken but not visibly so. <BR><BR> The Guardian knelt down and focused on his shadow, flickering beneath him in the dim light. It seemed to be struggling though the Guardian remained unmoving. Suddenly the shadow lifted from the ground and floated before the Guardian in a liquid-like blob. As though taking a ball he threw his shadow straight up toward the source of the light. The ball of shadow ascended and, at its zenith, seemed to explode into a million shards of black. <BR><BR> Only darkness remained. <BR><BR> The Guardian could feel the presence of his shadow returning in the darkness and spoke out. <BR><BR> "I am ready." <BR><BR> "Indeed you are, Guardian Saarin Vahn." A voice rang, and for the Guardian the darkness seemed to lift and he could discern the outlines of bodies around him. His Housemates, and the friends made within the time of joining were seated before him.His Rollmaster stood, gesturing for him to kneel. <BR><BR> The young Apprentice fell to one knee as the Rollmaster, Timeros, raised his hand. A small shadow creeped from underneath the outstretched appendage and descended on the Apprentice. <BR><BR> "Light is limited, young one," the leader spoke. <BR><BR> "Darkness is infinite, my master," spoke the Apprentice as the shadow fell upon him, to be absorbed by the Dark Jedi.<BR><BR> "Congratulations, Kirei Marden. You have taken a step further into the Dark Side of the Force. You have attained the rank of Novice, and are now fully a part of the Brotherhood. Stand and be recognized, a Novice.“<BR><BR> The newly promoted Novice stood and faced his brethren.
