To Whom It May Concern: I write this recommendation with much pleasure. In the months that I have known and served as master to Jedi Hunter Eetherbiail, I have found a good friend and hard worker. While I know he feels that I give him a lot of crap and prod him a lot to move along, I hope he knows I value his presence here in Scholae Palatinae. Masters wait for this day with an eager heart and with great anticipation. It is with great honour I recommend Eetherbiail be promoted to the rank of Dark Jedi Knight.

When Eether joined approx. 8 months ago, I was very excited to see such an eager and willing member, as so many just join and disappear. Eether has not stopped showing a strong desire to advance and serve either. A prime example of this was his service during the Disorder Vendetta. He participated in 10 events, and help secure a 3rd place for his teams Battle-plan. In the months since earning Jedi Hunter he has also played many games, earning multiple CFs and a Steel Cross, which is a very great accomplishment. Beyond excellent participation in events, Eether is a regular on IRC, something we try very hard to imbed in our Journeymen.

Here is the summation of his completed requirements for DJK:

Have spent over 6 weeks as a Jedi Hunter Have a merit award Have a crescent He has participated in over 15 total events including a multitude of ones during the Vendetta and many gaming ones Completed 2 Leadership Exams (Fundamentals and Studies) Ran a competition (Crossover a Harry Potter meets SW Fiction) Earned more then 40 CFs (He has 143) Complete a final fiction task, in this case a joint Run-On with myself in which he received his own lightsaber crystal and prevent dangerous Intel from being sent to the Hutts (Full story is here: http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=6138) For his House Summit Task Eether was charged with: 1) Compiling a total participation count from the HSP 5 year running 1-Word Run-on found on the forums 2) Compile the run-on into one text document to so the entire story could be seen 3) Run and maintain at least 2 forum competitions to promote forum activity a. Treasure Hunt: A find a certain object from a clue and post it b. 5 word run-on (About Zombies and which has many House members participating) These requirements all have been completed and he has fulfilled that which is needed for a promotion to DJK. I write this recommendation in favour of the elevation of Eetherbiail to the rank of Dark Jedi Knight. Since his last promotion, Eether performed exceptionally well in the "Order War" as he earned 10 seals in honour of his participation. For his efforts, he was also awarded a Steel Cross and numerous Clusters of Fire for his combat on the field of battle. Eether has been a valuable member of my battleteam, and I congratulate him on his ascension to the pinnacle of the journeyman ladder.

Xen spoke of the Trials required to be completed before a Knighthood can be awarded and of how his Apprentice Eetherbiail completed all those before him. Dante spoke of the active Team member who earned a Steel Cross in the “Order War” by attaining 10 Seals. I will however speak of the highly motivated member of House Scholae Palatinae. Eetherbiail is a relatively constant on IRC and always willing to help others. He is nearly always in a good mood, and while that in and of itself does not merit a promotion, it still factors into the promotion. Considering most arguments towards this promotion have been mentioned already, I will keep this brief. All I wish to add to the two recommendations (seen above) is that I believe Eether to be that which we wish to see in all our members, i.e. a relatively carefree and happy member that is more interested in enjoying himself then in advancing through the ranks of the DB. I wish there were more Eetherbiail’s in the Brotherhood! I recommend Eetherbiail for a promotion to the rank of Dark Jedi Knight.

Since his last promotion, Sutekh has been a very active member, proving his worth within Taldryan. Starting with his combat skills, he has taken and passed the ACC basics course, and has had a Character Sheet approved by the Combat Master.

Continuing with his knowledge within the Brotherhood, Sutekh has taken the Star Fighters Studies, Astronomy Studies, and the Sith Core, passing all of them with stellar grades.

Added along with the above, Sutekh has continued to prove his willingness to delve deeper into the way of Taldryan and the Brotherhood by competing in these 3 competitions: "What is it?", "THB One-Word Run-On", and "THB Caption Competition".

As if that was not enough, Sutekh has become a regular on the Taldryan and DB nicklist, making his name as someone more than willing to voice his opinion and just have fun. The same can be true for his Message Board and Email activity. Given his amount of activity it's no wonder why he's being promoted to the rank of Protector in such a short time. It's well deserved, and I am proud to award this promotion to Sutekh'Sithari!

Dirk Valentine has shown his dedication to the Brotherhood by patiently waiting 4 weeks as a Protector. In that time, he has logged onto IRC and spent time amongst his brethren in Naga Sadow, completed his Obelisk Core exam, participated in 5 competitions, completed his ACC Basics exam and a character sheet. Further, he has qualified in the ACC, uploaded an excellent character wiki article, and personally submitted to me an excellent piece of fiction. I feel it is time to reward him by promoting him to the rank of Guardian.

I ask two things from my Staff members: accomplish your task and if you cannot handle the burden, let me know as soon as possible. When I told my Staff I’d be gone for boot camp, I did not expect to be away for as long as I was. By the time I returned, I expected Muz would have to step in as a former Herald to keep things rolling. However, I was extremely surprised to see Jeric handling the duties of a Praetor and potential Herald with such ease.<br><br>After handling military duties for approximately 5-6 months, I was impressed to see that everything had been distributed amongst staff members easily, Jeric was handling requests as they came and in a timely fashion, On top of that, he handled himself and an extremely professional manner and was willing to assist further until I could effectively assume my duties as Herald.<br><br>In the time he has served as my Praetor, he has created 23 warbanners and an impressive 31 lightsabers for the Brotherhood, which is the highest number of sabers done by a staff member during my reign as Herald. Jeric Cyrin has been one of the most vital assets I have had as Herald and I cannot think of a better reward for him than the opportunity to wield a custom lightsaber.<br><br>I recommend Obelisk Templar Jeric Cyrin for promotion, receiving all the benefits and rights that come with the rank of Obelisk Prelate. This is one of those promotions that are such a given that you really don't need anyone specifically recommending it. If it wasn't for Orv, the Dark Brotherhood would not be able to modernize and grow. Period. Coding is such an integral part of this club, or very growth dependent on the ability to expand the capabilities of our website and offer more variety to our members. There is only so much any of us can do with the current tools we have. Orv is a godsend in borkified form...he has singlehandedly began the process of basically fixing our site so that it conforms to more modern standards, while introducing new facets to the website. I know everyone will talk about the new "Prestige" rankings we have, but what makes it even more remarkable is that this little rank has been a theory for over 5 years. Orv has made it a reality. Combine that with his continuing graphic work (as seen with the Disorder-website he designed) and all of the enhancements he has made to the website (especially the Admin areas recently), and it is very clear that he deserves this promotion. Orv has been one of our code monkeys for a long time now. His presence has been amazing, even after his retirement from SCL. Now as Praetor, Orv commands the board with his massive knowledge of PHP and personable work ethic. In the 11 months since I wrote him a reccomendation for EQ3, Orv has been a blessing to the Dark Council and the Brotherhood as a whole. In the Shadow Academy alone, he spent hours upon hours fixing email glitches and tweaking the degrees to notify the proper people after over a year of inconsistent and glitchy emails. On top of this, he reorganized the training tab (along with all the dossier tabs) to reflect a more modern and centered forum to check one's scores. He removed the extremely outdated Character Histories which lifts a huge load off of the Headmaster's Office. All of the above is simply his work within the Shadow Academy...his other Brotherhood work, I'm sure Muz and the others will touch on, but I will recap on some more SA intimate projects. The Grind Path, more specifically the Grind Path sub-feature "Career Preferences" is being coded solely by Orv alone, which will go hand in hand with our Dark Brotherhood of the new decade. Throw this in with all the work he's done on possessions, the newly released Prestige System, and the coding of the last couple Vendettas...I'm honestly surprised it took us this long to promote him. There's really not enough that I can say about Orv. Even as Praetor, his work ethic has been stronger than several Dark Councilors that I have seen. And boy, do we need him. His assistance in modernizing and streamlining our site has been crucial. His work towards programs yet to be released has been outstanding and keep me eagerly anticipating emails from him. It is his skill and ambition to see the club in a better place that helps motivate the rest of us that generate content for the club. His work not only includes the obvious Prestige program that was recently released, but also the slow conversion of the site to PHP, the GMrG coding, the ACC society rewards coding, enhancements to the MAA scripts and probably a dozen other things that swarm my mind to the point where singling them out is impossible.
