Windos Helkin Tarentae has been by far the greatest addition to the Wiki Staff in a long time. His initiative, dependability, work ethic, and over all zeal for the Wiki has been a boost to it's production and efficiency. Windos has helped complete the tasks set before the Wiki Staff and gone beyond in seeing to it's over all functionality - making it more user friendly and accessible. His tiresome work in seeing to defunct articles, a thorough categorization of all articles, getting the Wiki competitions up and going, and overall encouragement in getting users interested and motivated into using the Wiki has been greatly appreciated by all. I cannot even begin to count the number of edits and articles he has made - they are like the sands of the sea. I recently awarded him for his work and I wish the result is what we saw out of all members in the DJB - he did 5, if not 10 times, as many more edits and additions after he got the medal. It has been some 2 years since his last elevation and I wholeheartedly agree with the Grand Master in that he should be raised in rank at the very least. ~Astronicus Sadow, Keeper of the Holocrons
Windos has been a Tarenti for a very long time. He has been BTL, Rollmaster, Aedile, and is an honored Tarentae. He is a newly renowned member of the wiki staff, putting an immense amount of effort into his work in Tarentum and across the Brotherhood. He has proven loyal to Tarentum for practically all of his DB career, and has just recently been selected as Cestus's new Aedile. Even at a simple glance, his resume is stunning, his amount of work is honorable, and his proof of valor is seen in Seals of Loyalty, merit medals, and even an Amethyst Kukri.
I remember first joining the Brotherhood in 2007, knowing of Windos but not really knowing him personally. When I inherited Arcano Signum, a battle team that had been once known as the Praxeum as founded by Windos, I only knew the guy's existence by his wiki page, and by his Tarentae title. Now that I have gotten to know him, I can now see why he has been a constant name repeated in Tarentum history and progress - he is a damn good worker when he puts his mind to something. When he is focused, he takes things all the way, rather than simply to the duties he has been assigned. He goes out far beyond what I would imagine from any typical DB member.
I have worked with Windos on a house as well as a clan level, and I can see how much he can do once he is given a task. Constantly, even when he was not a member of a house summit, he would approach me as his Quaestor and ask, "Is there anything specific that you want done?" His charity is an honorable virtue that will take him far in the Brotherhood, as too often we are confronted with members who are doing favors simply because they wish to see their personal advancement. Windos, in contrast, is not simply working for his own good, but for the good of the Brotherhood. And that is truly a rare sight to see.
Therefore, I can only offer my humble recommendation to Windos for his hard work toward his long awaited promotion to Sith Battlelord. Windos, you have been able to give me a path to follow as a still rather new member of the Brotherhood, and by seeing your example, I know that I have a long way to go in order to reach the level of honor and respect you have been rightfully given, as a leader, a worker, and a Tarentae. During his time in House Cestus (on both occasions) Windos has been one of the most exciting and prolific members Ive had the pleasure of working with. His motivation and drive to complete projects in a timely manner is vastly above average and he always goes above and beyond to ensure that said projects satisfy the requirements (which he often makes sure to surpass). Now as my Aedile, Windos is my go-to-guy when I need something done right. While he has done a great deal of work on the Wiki he has never failed to set aside enough time to complete projects for both Cestus and the Tarentum Military. Windos has written full articles more NPCs than any three members of Tarentum, he maintains a continual IRC presence and is always around to help with technical issues regarding the Wiki and normal DJB things, having brought his apprentice all the way to the threshold of DJK he has, without hesitation, taken on another apprentice whom he has already introduced to the Wiki and advanced to the rank of Guardian, and, finally, his usage of Googlewave as an activity tracking tool has revolutionized the way House Cestus keeps track of its members and ensures they receive promotions and awards in a timely fashion. Windos Tarentae is a machine. A brilliant, efficient and hardworking wiki machine. Since his inclusion on the Wiki staff, he has racked up an obscene amount of edits in a short time, contributing substantially and consistently to this great resource for the Brotherhood. His reputation in Tarentum, stellar as it is, still did not prepare Tron or myself for the floodgates of work that Windos opened. Aside from all of this, he is a insightful and inventive author, going down paths most would fear to tread with his storylines. He is bold, and continually striving to do more for the club, which is the mark of not only a great member and leader, but also one of a budding elder. It is for these reasons that I hereby promote Windos Helkin Tarentae, elevating him to the rank of Sith Battlelord, one step closer to the Elder that I hope he will become.
