When it comes to promoting Brotherhood members to Dark Jedi Knighthood, it is easy to look at their ID lines to see what they’ve been rewarded for. It is less easy to measure the actual scope of their influence to the members that surround them. Not so for Dyrra Skye. At a time when Clan Naga Sadow was arguably at its lowest point, having experienced a mass exodus of productive and influential members, Dyrra came along and spurred those of us who remained to a greater level of activity and enjoyment. Her energy is infectious, and her attitude is well-received by both those whom she follows and who follow her. When I had taken on the offices of Aedile and Quaestor, she remained my most steadfast member, eagerly tackling the role of Battleteam Leader, showing the ropes to those new members of the Clan with grace and aplomb. It can be said that by being in her presence, I had been quickened, as had many other veterans in the Clan, having been reminded that leadership by example is an easy tenant to follow when one feels a responsibility to those who look to you for guidance. Further, as eager as she is to lead, she is just as ready to learn, a rare and valued commodity in any member of any rank or station. I have been given many opportunities to lend my name to lists of recommendations, but I’ve never been so glad as to put my stamp on this recommendation for elevation to Dark Jedi Knight to Dyrra Skye. She is a valued friend, a trusted confidant, and worthy member whose promotion would surely reflect both recognition of her individual achievements and our appreciation for all of the time and effort she has lent to Clan Naga Sadow. Rise, Dyrra Skye, and take your place amongst those who wield the ‘saber in Sadow’s name. Congratulations! ~ DCM Tsainetomo Keibatsu Sadow

I must say, this promotion is long overdue for Dyrra Skye. Since her last promotion, she has spent over 4 months as a Jedi Hunter, earned several merit awards, as well as a ton of crescents from the House Feud. Dyrra has been a part of her house leadership as well, first taking part as being a Battleteam Leader to the Jade Serpents, and now recently Dyrra became the Aedile of Ludo Kressh working closely with Malisane as well as completing two leadership exams, conflict mediation and leadership studies. As a major achievement during her time as a Jedi Hunter, she was able to defeat Tsainetomo in the ACC as well as competing in 5 other ACC matches. Dyrra has earned 2 degrees as well, and creating her own wiki article. Dyrra has more than earned the right to become a Dark Jedi Knight. Congrats Dyrra, you've earned it girl. thumbs up ~ HMR AED Fremoc Pepoi

Jedi Hunter Dyrra Skye is an impressive and hard working member of this House and Clan, working hard in competitions especially the recent House Feud and other events, is a regular participant in the ACC going up against some of the best the Clan and DB has to offer, and performing extremely well. She has recently become Aedile of Ludo Kressh where she's doing well writing material for the new Clan Website about the House, sending out regular welcome emails and promotion guidelines to new members and designing competitions for the members. She also recently received an impressive Grand Cross of the Dark Side for her efforts, a rarity for someone of her rank, and has completed her promotion task for the Consul required for promotion. I believe Dyrra has a great career ahead of her in the Clan and the Brotherhood, and is someone I look forward to working with for a long time, and I am happy to add my name for her promotion to Dark Jedi Knight. Congratulations Knight! ~ HLK QUA Malisane Sadow

Adding to what's been said above isn't an easy concept. Aedile Dyrra has been a stalwart member of this clan and of Ludo Kressh for a long while. In the four months since her last promotion, she has completed a wide variety of summit and house tasks. Just recently she was named HLK Aedile, a decision Manji and I haven't regretted since we made it. It's one thing to be "active" by submitting to the mindless rabble of competitions the DB is so well known for, graffiti the AED or make a new logo for your house. No, Dyrra takes everything she does and takes it to the next left, making everything she does a joy to watch from a PCON's eyes. I'm proud to recommend this promotion for Dyrra, and know she has many more tricks up her sleeve. Congratulations on your saber, Knight! ~ CNS PCON Taigikori Aybara Dupar

Dyrra has been one of those members who've taken to the DB like a duck to the proverbial water. She stepped off the shuttle just as we were getting into the start of the last Great Jedi War, a pretty turbulent time, and despite the chaotic nature of things she immediately got stuck in, showing great dedication in her desire to participate and participate well. Her name popped up on quite a few of the leaderboards for GJW events; she'd only been here a few weeks and she was beating members older and more experienced than her (myself included!) This promotion to DJK has been quite a long time coming, but that's partially self-imposed; as Dyrra's master, I've seen first-hand her determination to complete all of her trials in order to truly earn the promotion. We could probably have promoted her sooner for both her participation and her work as Battleteam Leader, but she insisted on feeling as though she'd earned it by completing a Major Task for me and going through all the other steps required of her as a Jedi Hunter. This is without even mentioning the valuable ideas that she's given me in discussions; one of the projects I've completed during my time as Consul was wholly her idea, and another one currently being worked on was highly influenced by her great ideas. I'm proud to say that Dyrra truly deserves this promotion for her positive presence in Clan Naga Sadow, her almost never-ending stream of ideas to benefit her Clan, and her desire to improve the DB as a whole. Congratulations on earning your saber, my apprentice! ~ CNS CON Manji Keibatsu Sadow

I have watched over Kano since he joined the Dark Brotherhood back in May. He first joined my battle team, the Night Raptors, where I made sure that he was active and doing everything he could to become promoted to the next rank. Upon my ascension to Dark Jedi Knight, I took Kano on as my apprentice teaching him everything I knew about the DB, and as the Night Raptors Battleteam Leader. In early August, he was ordered by the Army to return to Washington, D.C. because he did not properly become discharged. Even with being sent back into the Army, Kano worked hard and made sure he was able to get things done. With my move to Aedile, Kano was made the Night Raptors battleteam Leader and held the position for over a month, until his job in the Army, forced him to step down. But during the time he was a Jedi Hunter, he was able to earn many crescents, and participate in over 15 competitions. Kano earned a Anteian Cross for his dedication and work during the Feud and becoming the Night Raptors BTL. Kano took two leadership tests, Leadership Fundamentals and Conflict Mediation, as well as earning a Degree in history. Kano has run, four competitions, two with the house and two as the Night Raptors BTL. Kano has also completed his Major task, and created a quality wiki article for his character. I am honored by having you as an apprentice, and very proud that you have finally achieved your goal vode. Congrats Kano -Fremoc Pepoi Aedile of Marka Ragnos

Jedi Hunter Kano Verda has completed the Trials of the Jedi Hunter. He has the required time at his current rank, earned numerous crescents for competitions, and earned an Anteian Cross for his performance during the Children of War Clan Feud. Along with these he has competed in well over 15 competitions, completed both Leadership Studies and Conflict Mediation, ran the competition “Battle Ready”, and completed his Major Task as assigned by his House Summit by further developing the Kar Albarek WIKI article and creating a piece of fiction that will contribute to a future plotline of House Marka Ragnos. To finalize his requirements, he earned a Dark Maven in General History, created and ran the additional competition “Resuce Mission”, and completed a quality WIKI article. For this, Kano has earned the rank of Dark Jedi Knight and House Marka Ragnos is proud to recommend this promotion. – QUA Robert Sadow

...... Oops. The promotion requirements for Novice simply state that the Apprentice is required to complete a single activity. This can be anything from coming on IRC, to getting in contact with your summit, to doing a competition, or even a Shadow Academy exam. Nearly five months ago, Markuise completed the Brotherhood Basics exam, fufilling this requirement; as such, I'm recommending him for his promotion to Novice. I'm sorry this took so long, Markuise, I'll try to ensure that something like this doesn't happen again.

In the short time that I've known RianAslar, he's aready suprised me. Active, he frequenty communicates with his house (as well as it's leadership) over email, in #ektrosis, as well as his clan in #taldryan. He's passed the Sith Core exam, and it has been nearly two months since his promotion to Protector. RianAslar has passed his ACC basics exam, created a character fiction that was approved by our Quaestor, Sha'zair aka Sid, has started working on his wiki article, and earned his first merit medal on the 2nd of November, a true testament to his activity. Currently one of the more active members of Ektrosis, Rian just finished running his first competition for House Ektrosis. Ambitious, Mr. Aslar is going places, which is something we all hope he accomplishes and I comemorate him on his success thus far. Congratulations on the promotion to Guardian, Rian, it's well earned!

~DJK Anubis Annedu, Aedile of the smexy House Ektrosis

Rian Aslar – One of the most active members present in Ektrosis has more than shown his worth as not only a Protector, but a member in Taldryan, having shown this through his activity on IRC, the Message boards, and as well as email. Since his last promotion almost 2 months ago Rian has passed his Sith Core Shadow Academy exam as well as having passed the ACC Shadow Academy course followed by creating his own character sheet and having it approved by the Combat Master. Further activities consists of: having written an in detail Character Fiction story well over 2 pages long which I myself approved of, has created a substantial Character Wiki Article which earned him a 2nd place Crescent and has earned a Dark Cross which stands on his first Merit Medal. Rian has also maintained his steady activity by allowing other members to be given the chance of activity through a Trivia competition he ran, which had a fairly successful turnout.

It should be clear by now why Rian is more than eligible for his promotion to Guardian. His great activity paired along with his outstanding communication that broadens from the House to the Clan, to other members in the DB alike, to his eager fulfillment of the promotion requirements. It is now with my great pleasure that I submit this request for Protector RianAslar to be promoted to the rank of Guardian. Congrats Rian, and keep up your activity!

Primary reason

The rank of Dark Jedi Knight is the first major milestone for any member of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. In order to reach this rank, a member must have perseverance, loyalty, and achieve a level of success in their time. Fang Ao Tian has done all of this.

Since his promotion to Jedi Hunter, nearly three months ago, Fang has won a plethora of awards include eight Crescents (four emerald, one sapphire, and three amethyst), five Clusters of Fire, two Legions of the Scholar, two Stars of Antei, and a Steel Cross. His total seventeen Crescents prove that he has participated in the fifteen minimum requires competitions.

Serving as Battle Team Leader of Keto’s Vengeance, he has run three competitions, and recently, alongside Koga Kage, ran a Clan wide run-on for the month of October, in a Halloween theme. His character’s Wiki article contains a comprehensive history of his character for his childhood and adult life. He has completed the Leadership Fundamentals and the Leadership Studies courses as well as receiving his Degree in General History.

Fang continues to prove himself to be one of the most active and positive members of Clan Plagueis, and I am extremely proud to be able to grant him the rank of Dark Jedi Knight and the opportunity to build his first lightsaber.

Congratulations, Fang. Well deserved.

General Ronovi Tavisaen
Primary reason

Ji K'awiil has far exceeded the guideposts to Sith Warrior as set by the clan summit of Tarentum and by the recommendations of the Dark Council. This promotion request has been scrutinized and approved by the clan leaders.

Good leaders see eye to eye on everything with their members. Great leaders can make sure they find the middle ground, because they know they will never see eye to eye on all points with their members. Ji K’awiil is one of those individuals who falls into the latter column. While we’ve had many disagreements in the past over the details of numerous points, we’ve been able to find the middle ground in our overall objective – the continued health and well being of Clan Tarentum and its members.

In his nearly 2 years as a member of the Brotherhood, Ji has always run with the ball. As Rollmaster for House Cestus, a position he held for 5 months, he has executed the duties of the office with impeccable and meticulous equanimity. And yet, in addition to the normal duties of his office he has shouldered extra responsibility for his House without complaint or the mendacity borne of someone who seeks reward through the self-aggrandizing onanism that so many in our organization are guilty of. He has taken extreme care in the duties he has shouldered without being asked – care of House Cestus’ wiki articles, ensuring they are up to date and accurate; the birth and development of many of the “NPC’s” that flesh out and round out Tarentum’s story; collaboration on multiple storylines including the recent “Garden of Eden” run-on for Clan Tarentum, the development of House Cestus’ current storyline, and the current reworking of Arcona’s storyline in light of the DB-wide change in powers. In addition, the latter has helped bridge inter-Clan relations. And while much of there is camaraderie between Clans Arcona and Tarentum, much of this can be considered superficial. All know that much of this magnanimity is spawned by the fact that both Sashar Erinos Arconae, myself and a few others share a friendship. The latter goes to further strengthen what could be seen as a superficial bond. Changing it from something superfluous to something that could very well spring to a more permanent fixture.

And at my request Ji has taken on a few projects for me that others may not have known about. He has been one of my quiet researchers, who have pored over everything from how real life human intelligence agencies work to the mythos of many ancient and modern cultures in their views of life, death and afterlife. This work makes him one of many unsung heroes of the Clan who quietly give and allow those members of the Clan who wish to write, or may in the future partake of the nascent RPG, a chance to flesh out and breathe an exacting and more realistic light unto their DB personae.

We are not an organization that normally springs mentors or masters or the like, but there are those few influential members who stick with you. But it seems fitting to quote Yoni here, “It is not for ourselves that we do anything in the [Dark Brotherhood], but rather it’s the hope that we can share a part of ourselves when we write for the [Dark Brotherhood].” Ji adequately embodies that sentiment Yoni shared with me when I was IWCOM and he was HI. And Ji more than adequately embodies the member I admire – the one who does things quietly without seeking praise and relishes the chance to work with new members.

And so, in light of his unfailing and unflagging service to House and Clan; I, Maxamillian-von Oberst-Tarentae, Consul of Clan Tarentum, R.G.Princeps, request this promotion to Sith Warrior for Ji K’awiil.

Maxamillian von Oberst-Tarentae, Consul of Tarentum and Prince of Yridia

Ji K'awiil has been a long-term member and leader of House Cestus. He has been a BTL, Assistant Rollmaster, Rollmaster twice, and Aedile twice in his career; and he now leads Cestus as its newest Quaestor. He has spent an incredible amount of time on the house's fiction and storylines. Obviously, his devotion and work for Tarentum shines for everyone to see. But behind all that, who is Ji, really, and why does he deserve to be one of the Equites?

Besides his long tenure as DJK, his major contributions in reforming the Cestus fiction, his running competitions, his putting out reports, and his being an active participant in Tarentum-Arcona diplomacy and fiction; I believe that Ji deserves this promotion for one major thing: Ji cares. He cares about his house, about his clan, and about the Brotherhood. None of the work he does is shoddy (or as I'd oh-so-courteously call it, half-assed); he always executes his craft and activity with energy, pizzazz, and confidence. Many times one will see leaders sit idly in their comfortable position, putting out mangled reports and not really contributing to the house at all, while the other leaders have to pick up the slack. I have always believed that each house summit should have a purpose and a select amount of tasks in each house, in order to collaborate and contribute equally. To me, if a leader is taking up space, then the Brotherhood may as well just make the position null and void.

Ji is one of those exceptional leaders. He goes beyond the tasks given to him, putting extra effort into everything he does. When I was Quaestor and he was working as my second-in-command, Ji himself recommended that we reform House Cestus's fiction because he believed the way we were running as a house did not give the house's history enough value in our current culture. He was the main writer and thinker behind the new fiction, before being asked to work alongside me to help Arcona with a revision of fiction due to the newest clan powers being introduced. Ji is not only a writer, but also a creator, and what he is able to originate in fiction is absolutely incredible to witness. And the reason that's so is because Ji cares about each word he puts on a page or each aspect he adds to the house, and that subsequently improves everything and everyone around him. He has high expectations for Cestus and the rest of the clan, which I truly admire.

Therefore, by the power bestowed upon me by Tarentum and the Brotherhood, I hereby request this honorable promotion to Sith Warrior for Ji. May you have a long, healthy tenure as Quaestor of my old house, and may you continue to prosper in your DB career.

Ronovi Tavisaen, Proconsul of Clan Tarentum

Since my coming to Cestus, Ji has been diligent running and participating in competitions, and has gone out of his way in his duties as AED and now functioning as QUA of Cestus. He is always working and contributing new ideas not only on a house level but for the entire clan. Ji is truly a pillar of Tarentum and a prime example of how a member of the DB should perform. In my opinion Ji is more than deserving to join us in the Equite ranks! Thank you Ji and I look forward to working with you farther.

In Darkness,

Adien d'Tana, Rollmaster of House Cestus

What words can be used to describe Ji K'awill, words that have been used to describe leaders for millenium. Words such as dedicated, driven, hardworking & responsible. Since I joined the Dark Jedi Brotherhood, Ji has been a friend to me and a friend to the entire clan. He shows that the Dark Jedi Brotherhood is his life and gives as much as he can in everything he does.

Ji, thank you for everything you have done for the brotherhood, the clan and the house. You have made an impact here that continues to be felt. Step forward, Equitehood awaits you.
