Marcus has short black hair which is always unkempt. Aside from a plan silver ring on his left ring-finger, he has no distinguishing marks.
He wears a dark-grey vest, accented by a light-grey robe and a leather belt containing several utility-pockets. His left wrist is protected by a bracer, emblazoned with the mark of Naga Sadow. His knees are protected from serious injury's by durasteel greaves. Finally he wears military-style boots.
His own lightsaber displays proudly from his belt. But it is not his only weapon. The Force and his mind are as much a weapon as anything.
Marcus recently discovered that he can perceive visions through the Force. In his pride, he has refused to seek guidance from his elders. While these glimpses have aided him greatly in his pursuits of power and influence, Marcus’ mind is yet undisciplined and he frequently suffers from his visions as they plague his psyche at the most inopportune moments.
Since his visions started, Marcus has desired only one thing, more power. His machinations go as far as abandoning friendships and allies, just to increase his own power and influence. This has made him somewhat feared by his peers and looked upon with interest by his superiors.
Marcus Kiriyu is a strategist, possessing a keen wit and an intellect to match, he prefers to use tactics and cunning rather than all-out assault. Always trying to think at least two steps ahead, Marcus Kiriyu tries to anticipate his opponent's moves before they can make them. However, this focus on prediction results in a disadvantage when paired against more instinct driven, or random situations.
Marcus’ otherwise normal personality can suddenly be replaced by his more subconscious power-driven side, resulting in a personality that only cares about one thing and is ruthless about getting it. This causes friction with his superiors and spreads fear among his peers and subordinates.
In combat, Marcus prefers to expend as little energy as possible, moving only to approach, attack, or evade an attack. While this minimalistic approach to combat helps him in duels, it can leave him somewhat vulnerable in larger fights.
Marcus generally employs his skills to conjure illusions, of either himself or others, generally misdirecting those he interacts with. In combat, this is particularly effective as he is always looking to strike from the shadows, to surprise his opponent and find an opening to exploit. One of these days, he will not be so lucky and someone will catch on to his act before he realizes.
