It's almost criminal to sit back and look over all the time and effort that has passed us by since Eiko's initial promotion to the rank of Equite twenty months ago. Even before coming to Plagueis back in September Eiko has been a model for the Brotherhood. His tenure as Quaestor of Revan did nothing to get any easier following his last promotion, but Eiko soldiered on doing his best for a unit that had lost it's unique selling point (that of being an Independent House) following every other Clan's reduction to House status. Indeed, his House was eventually closed out from under him and his leadership position eliminated, but unlike many others that lose their positions Eiko never let it impact his dedication to our organization.
Three days after Revan's demise, Eiko had thrown himself into the position of Praetor to the Deputy Grand Master. Working under Halcyon, Eiko did all sorts of behind the scenes work that few in the Brotherhood would directly see. Halcyon put him to work on updating information contained in the Codex, as that collection of documents had fallen seriously behind the times and contained copious amounts of outdated information. This project is a long term, ongoing endeavour that Eiko has continued to work towards.
He would eventually make his way to Plagueis just before the Horizons Vendetta, immediately making his presence felt. Where some of the leadership fell short of the example they should have set to our members during the first Vendetta event in a year, Eiko launched himself into the fray with renewed vigor. Stepping up with entries in thirteen events while placing in five of them, Eiko was the third most active member of Plagueis during the Vendetta. He only trailed two others who placed in the top ten overall for the event. His activity and visibility during the event served to inspire his fellow Housemates and helped everyone make the push to an overall second place finish.
The close of Horizons left Plagueis with some holes to fill in its summit, with an acute need at the position of Rollmaster. In the months preceding the Vendetta the position of Rollmaster had languished, and Plagueis had languished with it. The promotion and overall engagement of the Journeymen had stagnated with little movement or enthusiasm. All of that changed when Eiko took over, bringing the rabid motivational ability that he had put to use during his time in Revan.
This time, faced not with somewhat apathetic veterans but those eager to explore our organization, Eiko created a level of activity in the Journeymen of Plagueis that had not been seen in quite some time. Under his watch members that had been stuck at their current rank were given the personal attention they needed to revitalize their interest. Most importantly, he began to uncover members who had completed most or all of their promotion requirements and had simply been overlooked by prior Rollmasters. Since he assumed the post of Rollmaster in House Plagueis, five Journeyman promotions to ranks of Guardian or higher have been issued to four separate members. Another two members are a hair's breadth from Knighthood, as still more are nearing the completion of their requirements for Guardian or Jedi Hunter. Much of this success can be laid directly at Eiko's feet, as without him many of these members would still be inactive and disinterested from lack of attention.
Eiko has displayed the sort of activity and leadership during his tenure in the Brotherhood that leaves me amazed that he still only holds the first of the Equite ranks. His work is at the level that one would expect of a seasoned veteran many ranks higher with much more time under their belt. As I said to begin, it's nearly criminal that he is still merely a Templar. As such, it gives me great pleasure to put his name forward for a promotion to the rank of Obelisk Prelate!

Eiko remains the example by which all leaders shall be judged. Since his promotion, Eiko has been the invaluable resource, the go to guy for getting projects done. I know that his time i slot as P:DGM has been nothing but busy. He has worked on multiple projects that were seen, and many more that never made it to the light of day.
He continues to work diligently for Muz, having just recently been working on assembling the statistics that Muz and Raken will be using for the State of the DB address. Jobs like that, which are often long, tedious tasks of a highly repetitive nature require devotion and dedication to be completed, something Eiko always shows he has in spades.
All of this is compounded when you realize that since becoming Rollmaster, Eiko has set the bar for what it means to be in communication with a unit. He's helped to garner activity out of members we were sure would be lost to the awol check, gotten communication from our Master/Student pairings, updated them, and is currently working on finding mentors for those who want and don't have them.
He's set up an ask and answer section of his report, where he makes sure to highlight the questions and concerns most relevant to the unit, and is constantly working to seek feedback for improvement from everyone.
It is past time to reward him with his next step along the path of Darkness.
Congratulations Eiko! You deserve it.
