The Dark Crusade, the long-lasting campaign against the One Sith, and the great conflict that took place just after the Dark Crusade have made Xantros reconsider his past. After around two years of constant fights, Xantros has realized that his life had been full of evil deeds and hatred. The burden of his crimes, which he has committed in the name of unsatisfied hunger of power, has turned out to be too heavy for the Duro to carry it on. Now, he seeks for redemption for himself. It is not an uncommon sight to see him wandering around the streets of Menat Ombo and other cities of New Tython and using his abilities to help the people in need in any possible way, except for direct fights.

After the experience of the Dark Crusade, which has shaken his life attitude, Xantros seeks for a new place to live. Both literally and figuratively, he tries to find his new identity and a new home, where he could finally live in harmony. Thus, it makes it very hard to meet him in the headquarters of Clan Odan-Urr, as he often spends hours and days on meditation far from sentient beings or on missions off-world. His search is one of the most demanding ones, but he is also a very persistent person and it does not discourage from continuing his search.

Xantros has had a life long hunger for knowledge. It has served him well, when he was the follower of the dark side and it serves him well in the service of the Light. He still sees the knowledge as the key to the victory and he supports his view of non-combat attitude with his information about more peaceful ways to deal with the enemies of Clan Odan-Urr. It makes him also a good teacher, as he shares his knowledge with other people with pleasure.

While many may consider Xantros as a traitor to the Final Way or suspect him of immoral motives that have made him join the Jedi of Clan Odan-Urr, the Duro knows, where his true loyalty lies. He has completely devoted himself to the higher cause, which is unifying the Galaxy and bringing peace and wealth to its inhabitants. If his actions are reviewed in the light of his quest, it will become clear that he joins the side, which he sees to serve his goal in the best way at the moment.

Xantros has seen too much death and he has accounted too many kills to support the warfare any longer. He refuses to fight no matter of all and he does not carry any weapon, save for his lightsaber, which he does not use in combat anyway. With his newly acquired deep respect for the sanctity of life, he always does his best to find a peaceful solution to any situation and conflict. His high intellect, superb perception and diplomatic skills are extremely useful in applying his philosophy. He does not hesitate to use mind tricks and illusions to deceive his enemies. When there is no way to avoid fight, he will never directly engage into combat, healing wounded comrades and serving with his vast knowledge to his allies.

Due to years spent in House Scholae Palatinae, Xantros has established strong affinity with animals. He understands them well and is capable of making them obey his will. In the result, he often makes them to carry out his orders and uses them to complete tasks, which allow him and his allies to avoid fights. He also treats his animal friends with deep respect and care, always having some food as a reward for his pets and being ready to help them, especially to heal them during or after completing their tasks.
