It is with great excitement that I recommend a Anteian Cross for GRD Taranae Rhode. As a consummate professional within the Dark Jedi Brotherhood and a valued member of House Plagueis she continues to lead by example.

She is a constant presence on IRC offering mentorship or just friendly conversation to members both new and old. The importance of this should not be understated as we all recognize the utility of IRC in fostering relationship within the DJB. To that end her impact is a asset to House Plagueis and the Dark Jedi Brotherhood.

In addition, Taranae has been working diligently earning 39 Clusters of Fire and placing in numerous competitions. Recently, she took 2nd place in the December Gorefest, which earned her a Crescent with Ruby Star. Furthermore, she earned 1st place in the Slice and Dice competition earning a Crescent with Emerald Star.

I would be remise if I did not highlight her efforts within the Shadow Academy. Having passed Grammar Studies, Leadership Fundamentals, and Markdown 101. These courses were attempted not to fulfill a promotion requirement but quite simple to build her knowledge in the material for implementation within her Dark Jedi Brotherhood engagements. That level of dedication should be recognized as ultimatly it will benefit the entire DJB as she progresses through her trials.

However, her impact on the club does not stop there. Recently, Taranae answered the Recruitment call of the House Plagueis Summit and she was able to reach out to other Star Wars clubs and recruit two new members to the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. Furthermore, it was the mentorship and motivational assistance she provided following their recruitment that should be recognized. She reached out to House leadership multiple times to ensure that the members she brought to the DJB were being cared for appropriately. A level of caring that is inherent to a good Leader and often a rarity in new members. She has expected nothing in return for her efforts in their entirety. She works diligently for House Plagueis and the Dark Jedi Brotherhood and to that end it is my honor to recommend her for a truly deserved Anteian Cross. In the past month, Taranae has progressed from a curious and eager new journeyman to a member of the House Plagueis leadership team. Taranae was instrumental in helping to establish the new Sorzus Syn battleteam as it's first Battleteam Sergeant, lending her insight into the fictional basis for the team. Moreoever, her two recruits, Meleu and Naomi, have excelled and become core members of the House.

She has also been an active gamer and and competitor, earning 108 CFs, a Dark Side Scroll for writing a new ACC venue, and an emerald crescent for winning a House-level competition.

Taranae is a rockstar. She proudly represented Clan Plagueis during the Fading Light Runon event and while Battle Team Sergeant of the Disciples of Dreypa she stepped up during a short BTL LoA to continue sending regular emails to her members and manage competitions. Due to her exceptional leadership and desire to advance Plagueis’ youth, we selected her as the clan Rollmaster. She has continued to impress in this position, working with Slagar to create tracking systems for our Journeymen, quickly welcoming new joins to the clan and placing them in their respective battle team, and even finding time to participate in two events during the recent Plagueis house feud “Sphere of Influence.” For performing excellently so far, for which I know she will continue, I’m happy to pass along some appreciation ~ DA Aabsdu Dupar, Consul of Plagueis

Not everyone can be as vocal as some members, but it’s important to recognise those who quietly get on and do the things without any fanfare. Taranae Rhode is one such member. Entering the joint-second most competitions of any non-leader in her House, despite a fire breaking out in her flat and preventing her from continuing with the event, goes to show the competitive drive Taranae Rhode has.

Since her last recognition, Taranae has entered 36 competitions and earned 1 Crescent with Ruby Star and 4 Crescents with Emerald Stars for her efforts along with 5 Seals of Wrath for participation in the 12th Great Jedi War. Taranae took a brief trip to the Shadow Academy, passing a course, and accrued 17 Clusters of Fire from 7 gaming activities.

It is for these reasons I believe Taranae Rhode is deserving of an Anteian Cross.

Despite real life hitting her hard, Taranae Rhode still comes back and goes out of her way to partake in competitions and be a part of Plagueis, whether it’s running them or participating in them. She’s also still a contributing voice on Telegram.

Just before Christmas of last year, she successfully ran “Let's Get Medieval” event. She also ran a DJB wide Archery competition. Along with that, she’s participated in 11 competitions, netting herself a Gold Nova (for her efforts in the Clan wide war RO), 1 Cluster of Fire, 7 Clusters of Earth, and 3 Clusters of Ice. She participated in 7 competitions in the recent Great Jedi War, doing more than half the bins.

It is my recommendation that Taranae be awarded an Anteian Cross for her efforts and continued contribution to Plagueis. Congrats, Taranae!

It has been great to see Tara continue being a valuable contributor to Clan Plagueis. Since her last recognition back in April, she has participated in 26 competitions. She participated in two fiction activities including a Run On. For her efforts, she earned a Crescent with Amethyst Star, 1 Cluster of Ice and 6 Seals of Enmity from the recent Rite of Supremacy. Her 11 entries in the 2021 Pro Bowl were instrumental in helping her team win the event. Congratulations Tara, this award is well earned.
