A Journeyman applies their work and will towards themselves. An Equite applies it to their Clan, and starts, ideally, to give back some of the due they were given through taking on leadership roles of their own. As one advances through those ranks, we watch and look for greater impact, for an outreach not only in personal achievements and Clan involvement, but also for steps towards Brotherhood influence as a whole.
Emily Hune, known best as Rhiann, has, in her softly-stepping fashion, achieved more of all three of these than most members typically approaching Equite II, particularly in her Brotherhood involvement. Many members of the early Equite ranks today find themselves struggling to either break out of the mold of strictly personal activity or to balance that personal activity and the jobs or duties they may take on. Rhiann is not most members, succeeds in reaching out to and aid others. On a purely personal level, Rhi has collected both 69 Clusters of Earth and 130 Clusters of Fire, and 8 Pendants of Blood from various PvE and PvP Gaming matches, as well as 29 Clusters of Ice for a total of 12,665 words of fiction from 11 fictional activities and 1 ACC match, and an additional 2213 words of fiction over three Run-On posts. Some of these were for a massive, unique cooperative event between Clan Arcona and Clan Odan-Urr, Tides of Change. Rhiann's two fiction entries in the particular competition both waltzed smoothly into third place in these individual and cooperative fictions, earning her a pair of Amethyst Crescents. Those two Crescents complimented a slew of others, totaling 8 other Amethyst Crescents, five Sapphire Crescents, one* Emerald Crescent, **twoTopaz Crescents, and one Quartz Crescent, all garnered from 17 placements out of the 52 competitions Rhiann has participated in since she was last promoted. She has also earned one Scroll of Indoctrination for recruiting another member to our lovely Brotherhood. However, Rhi does not stop at merely participating and placing in competitions: she has also organized and run 15 competitions on her own, and co-organized 6, not only for her Clan and Battleteam but also for the Brotherhood at large through the Herald's office.
That's right - a Battleteam and Herald work. Rhi first came to Arcona off a two month stint as House - now Clan - Odan-Urr's Rollmaster, to which some of her then-summiteers can attest. Modest but not the least bit shy, Rhiann volunteered immediately for leadership in Arcona, citing her ever-present desire to help other members. She started off applying for Battleteam Apex Brigade's Sergeant slot, and served as their second-in-command for three months, helping her Battleteam leader, Ernordeth, with his duties, such as emailing the team and organizing competitions and reports. When Ernordeth needed to step down to focus on balancing his real life and FIST staff duties, it was without worry, for Rhiann had more then shown herself to be ready for a chance at Battleteam Leader. She took up the position with graceful dedication, never one to boast, but always one to get the job done. Rhiann spent her four months' time as Apex's commander consistently posting four monthly reports, constantly emailing the members of her team to keep in touch and talk about activity, and running a fair few competitions specially for Apex Brigade.
Even once Apex Brigade was ultimately closed in order to consolidate the House's member base, Rhiann did not lose faith or inspiration as some might have. I have said before that there is steel in her, and I say it again now. Rhiann took charge in emailing her members about the team's closure, encouraging them to join Qel-Droma's remaining Battleteam, Shadow Gate, whose Battleteam Leader position she assumed. It has been nearly a month since then, and in her time as Shadow Gate's new leader, Rhiann has only continued to perform beautifully alongside her newly-selected Sergeant, K'tana. Rhi took Kat underwing and, together, the two had their first excellent report out in short order, complimented by various emails, status check-ins, and encouragements to their members throughout the weeks. After that, she went on to help create and serve as Battleteam Sergeant of a new Battleteam, Tyrant Sword, later called Styx. All Rhi's exceptional communication work in both emailing members and posting 8 total reports in her leadership career is simply commendable.
However, as mentioned earlier, Rhiann is not only steeled, but selfless. She does not focus only on her Battleteam, or even only on her Clan: she has been doing work for the entire Brotherhood as a Magistrate to the Herald for nearly nine months and then as a Praetor for the last five months. Though her superiors in the Herald office will elaborate further on her exact accomplishments and extraordinary work ethic, I will say that it is my belief that this unfailingly generous Herald work, extended to all members of the Brotherhood far and wide, Journeyman to Elder, that truly deserves Equite II. It is a select handful of members that can balance regular leadership and membership along with the rigors of a Magistrate or Praetor position, and even fewer who can handle one as demanding and often underplayed as one on the Herald staff.
There exist certain people in this world with threads of steel woven underneath their skin, hidden by fair faces or soft voices and cast-aside eyes. People who we must not mistake for their masks. Rhiann is one of those people. However, it is not her quiet personal strength that we look towards now, but where she applies it. Looking at all these reasons, at her expansive breadth of activity and at her selfless dedication and service to the other members around her, I often find myself quietly awed by Rhiann. She fights each day to make the next better than the last, to inspire her people to hold their heads high, and to better the Brotherhood. For that, we say congratulations, Rhi.

Emily Hune (aka Rhi) is one of those members that does a lot of good work for the Club, yet you hardly hear about them. She is hardworking and humble, and a good artist to boot. Ever since I joined the Office, she has done warbanners. This was her main task for a long time and she took it willingly. Some would say, "Oh, warbanners. They're simple, right?" No. Not at all. It may seem so to someone who's never opened a 200+ layer Photoshop file, though. It's still daunting work getting so many different warbanners done, examined, revisited, examined again (revisited again, if need be) and then only when the member is completely satisfied, uploaded to their dossier. And she has done 82 of those since her last promotion. When we were considering making new additions to the warbanners back when Socorra ran the office, Rhi gave several good ideas and supplied several designs that were to be considered.
Furthermore, Rhi has been very active in other pursuits such as weapons, where she created 3 in total, as well as 8 (which include 168 different variations) robes for our members to enjoy that we have released in the latest Holiday special.
Rhi has also completed 140 Crusade Cases and has, for all intents and purposes, lead the Crusade Case project after Socks stepped down. These were made in under two weeks, all cross referenced with spreadsheets given to us by our Senechal, every Crusade Case created by hand and uploaded with only one mishap that was easily rectified. In a mere two weeks she has completed the project with the help of Mirus and myself.
She's a hard worker who's always looking to improve herself, and even if she's sometimes in the shadows behind the rest of the team, there is no one we value more in our office than our Rhi. For all her work and dedication, this promotion is way overdue.
Thanks Rhi, for all the things you've done, and are still doing. Congrats.

Rhiann and I have worked on summits together going back to my time as a BTL and her’s as RM in Odan-Urr. When she came to House Qel-Droma I immediately set about finding a way to put her to work. Rhiann isn’t flashy or loud like some of the Brotherhood’s bigger stars, but she is something more. She possess a quiet and caring determination to see a task through to the end. She gives of herself and her tremendous talent without any thought of praise or reward.
I placed her into a challenging position, first at BTS then BTL of a struggling Battleteam. She accepted the challenge without hesitation and went immediately to work rallying the team through a Clan event and a Great Jedi War. The results of her efforts were admittedly mixed, but when things were hard her real character shone through. She dug in and gave more, she didn’t give up. She didn’t publicly complain or despair, she remained positive and upbeat to her team. That is a mark of a true leader and a pillar of our community.
Equites and Elders are measured by what they give back to the Brotherhood, not what they consume. Rhiann is a producer, she gives and gives with no thought of reward. Today it’s time to give something back to her. Enjoy Raider and the fancy custom saber, you’ve earned it!
