Appearance
Turel is a human male of average height. He possesses the svelte build and muscle tone of a welterweight fighter. He has taken to keeping his salt and pepper hair in a trendy undercut hair style with a small wolf tail in the back. Turel hates shaving so he usually has stubble or a short cut beard in the same salt and pepper color as his hair. His bright green eyes and cocksure smile convey the confidence of a man who has beaten the odds numerous times and knows it. Despite his outward confidence and initial warmth Turel also has the face of a man for whom the passage of time and countless fights have taken their toll.
Attire
Turel prefers function over form when it comes to everyday or mission attire. He typically wears dark colored clothing of a utilitarian, yet stylish, nature. He wears a form-fitting black jacket, gray undershirt, black pants, and boots. He also wears a functional belt containing his lightsaber, and a holster for his pistol.
As a member of the Sentinel Order and leader in the Sentinel Network Turel rarely wears stereotypical Jedi robes or armor.

Personal Image
Turel Sorenn shares a very deep bond with his partner and former master V’yr Vorsa. While they started as master and student, they have since forged a powerful partnership facing various trials and tribulations together. Their bond through the Force is strong enough that they can effortlessly feel one another’s presence when close and basic emotions over vast distances. Telepathy comes easily with them and they can connect more strongly on the battlefield, making them a uniquely strong force of destruction when fighting together.
When they are together, Vorsa has a calming effect on Turel and keeps him grounded. When separated from the Neti for long periods, he can become susceptible to emotional instability. He can also act irrationally when he believes she is seriously threatened or harmed.
Following the razing of New Tython, Turel has launched an unrelenting guerilla war against agents of the Iron Throne and Inquisitorious. He uses his mental powers and background as a Hutt Cartel enforcer to blend into the deepest corners of the underworld to build his network of allies and strike at his enemies from the shadows before disappearing. Turel has fully embraced the path of a Jedi Sentinel and as such skirts the very edges of the Jedi tradition. While he remains committed to preserving life, he will not hesitate to take the life of an enemy to save countless more. This often places him at odds with the more pacifist members of his Order.
This campaign has made Turel a major target for the Grand Master’s agents, which places both himself and those close to him at risk when he acts too brazenly in Brotherhood space.
As a former gangster, Turel is far more tolerant of and prone to indulge in everyday vices such as alcohol, women, or cigarras than his Jedi peers. He blends into a crowd of city folk more naturally than a stiff soldier or traditional Jedi and is often seen conspiring with and befriending both dark-sided and light-sided individuals, which makes him as many friends as enemies. Quite simply, he has no issues with anyone who follows his one very simple rule: do not harm or exploit the innocent. Whoever doesn’t will find themselves staring down the barrel of a slugthrower.
While Turel is very committed to his relationship with Vorsa, he is still known to playfully flirt with and visually “admire” the fairer sex to a degree that often makes females uncomfortable or downright hostile to him.
Turel Sorenn has a dry, sarcastic sense of humor that acts as his second skin. He employs it with mixed results, both in general - particularly to pick at any vulnerabilities or quirks of other people - and in response to stressful situations. While Turel’s use of humor helps him maintain his calm demeanor, it can sometimes get him into trouble, as not everyone appreciates his sass. He reflexively uses situationally inappropriate humor and flimsy bravado as a defense mechanism to hide his stress and fear. Unless Turel focuses on the deception, this defense mechanism rarely fools anyone.
As an avid Sabacc player, Turel knows the value of bluffing his own hand and misleading an opponent. He augments his physical skills and Subterfuge with attacks on an enemy’s perception and very mind using Illusion and Mind Trick. He often employs his mental powers in conjuction with Concealment to disguise himself and set up ambushes. The ex-gangster uses this bag of tricks to distract, taunt, evade or confuse opponents.
This approach is not without risk, as mental attacks take precious concentration away from the physical reality. Turel also isn’t nearly as clever as he thinks he is; his schemes sometimes blow up in his face.
When engaged in a confrontation Turel does not know when to quit. There is always another card to play, move to make or trick to pull. When faced with a seemingly impossible situation he will bring his considerable Perception and Force Sense to bear to either find a weakness in his opponent or an advantage in the environment to leverage.
Because of his inability to cut his losses in a fight, Turel sustains far more serious injuries and takes on far more risk to his life than a more reasonable person would. This can make him a burden to his allies in a larger campaign.
