In light of the fictional direction that Taldryan is taking, and the path I have chosen fir Aiden Lee Deshra to take, I feel that for the time being choosing a character that I can interact in a different way within Clan Taldryan is the right move at the moment.

When one looks back on all the Aidens who have been in the Brotherhood, one can say without a doubt that Aiden Lee Deshra is definitely #BestAiden. Mind you, his competition isn't too strong, so I'll elaborate below.

Aiden has been in his position with Taldryan for a few short months now. Since he's taken on the Aedile leadership role, he has produced 15 competitions at the Clan- and DJB-wide levels. When I look at leaders, I consider encouraging and providing activity outlets to be one of the great jobs that falls on their shoulders. With the sheer volume of competitions in the few months since taking on the role, I'd say that Aiden has more than fulfilled that responsibility.

One of the other things I look at when judging leaders is how accessible they are to their members. He has a quick email response time. He is also a mainstay in our Telegram channel, contributing to conversations and debates - he manages this without flooding the channel with stickers and GIFs!

While I feel that his leadership can stand on its own to earn this promotion, his personal efforts over that span are just as impressive. He's been credited with participation in 74 competitions, pulling in 29 crescents, including even Cr-D! He's earned more than 250 clusters, both of Fire and of Ice. He's finished 11 SA courses to earn himself another 4 degrees. The personal stuff is just icing on the cake!

Best Aiden continues to be the best - and a model for all other Aidens in Taldryan and the Brotherhood. He’s an extremely well rounded member, looking to try anything and everything - and he’s moving towards being a great leader and administrator too! Since his last promotion in November he’s organized 15 competitions (ranking in the 1% of organizers in the Brotherhood in the last quarter, according to the Deputy Grand Master), and participated in 66 (plus 8 container competitions), and when you pair that with the 28 crescents he’s earned, that’s a placement rate of about 33% - which ain’t too shabby if you ask me. Additionally, the Best Aiden (I think Bestest might be a better term, frankly) has also completed four Dark Side Degrees (Mavens in Writing and Lore, Savants in Writing and Philosophy, and Tactics), earned himself 209 Clusters of Fire, a damn impressive 44 Clusters of Ice, and oh yeah - a Steel Cross and Dark Cross.

Bestest Aiden is going to be one of the heroes that Taldryan needs, and this is the next step in his journey! Congratulations on your promotion to Mystic!
