Through a combination of preparing, studying, and analyzing, Kalu Burgoo creates detailed battle plans and tries to think two steps ahead of the enemy. At times, however, this can lead to Kalu Burgoo creating complicated schemes that can baffle less intelligent subordinates.

Kalu Burgoo doesn't like to work in groups or teams and feels most comfortable on his own. Kalu Burgoo sticks to himself, sets his own pace, and doesn't share feelings or emotions with others. While the Lone Wolf can get things done quietly and efficiently, he tends to be emotionally cut off and has problems relating to his comrades.

While generally laid back and more than happy to offer a quip of sarcasm, Kalu Burgoo's entire demeanor changes once combat begins. He becomes focused and quiet, with his smile replaced with a look of grim determination.

Kalu Burgoo doesn't do anything without first having a plan, and is constantly overheard advising others to always “think through their exits”. Every movement he makes—be it combative, manipulative or otherwise—is premeditated and thought out ahead of time. This foresight often places Kalu Burgoo two steps ahead of his peers. However, when plans go awry, Kalu Burgoo often has to first backtrack those same two steps to address the present, and that hesitation can often be line between success and failure in the heat of a situation.

Kalu Burgoo wears out his opponents through use of the Force, agility, and evasion. Once he has sufficiently tired his foes through the Force, physical, or mental assault, he quickly tries to find a means of cleanly and swiftly dispatching them - usually resulting in a somewhat risky all-or-nothing attempt at a deathblow.

Born with an intractable will and limitless courage, Kalu Burgoo will stand in the face of insurmountable odds and never retreat. Despite the fact that such acts of heedless bravery are inspiring and will sometimes result in victories worthy of song, just as often they result in his allies getting wounded or killed.
