Primary reason: I miss Aldaric, though I know he's focusing more on real-life he's continued to be a pillar within the DJB. He has engaged with Caliburnus and helped encourage activity and he continues to maintain a fantastic turn-around time with his Shadow Academy courses being graded.

What is represented here, beyond the recent activities, is the backlog of experience he's gained from his time on the Fist's staff, to gaming, to contributing with the DJB as a whole. If he had not had an AK already he'd have received this at the onset versus during our periodic awards sweeps.

I hope he knows that we recognize him for all he's done and look forward to the time when he can contribute at the same levels again.

Aldaric has been a stable of the DJB for many years, the most recent of which have been within Scholae Palatinae. His is a story of dedication and while home life may take him away from a daily level of engagement he still finds the opportunity to engage with the community.

As an individual Aldaric has contributed to two DC offices (Headmaster and Fist) since his last promotion. A staggering 140 courses graded as a professor and untold volumes of Clusters processed over the year he spent as Praetor to the Fist.

While infrequent due to the demands of caring for his children while his wife travels for work I thoroughly enjoy our chats and look forward to engaging with Aldaric on Scholae Palatinae's 2023 initiatives.

Additional reasons

Aldaric has been a fixture at the SA since before his last promotion, but reaching EQ3 did not slow him down any. Since promotion, he has graded 140 different SA exams, maintaining an average grading time of only 6 hours, well below the required turnaround of 24 hours. Although the individual courses in his department tend not to be the Academy's busiest, Aldaric's consistent work has made him the fourth-most prolific grader in the club. I'm delighted to recommend him for promotion to EQ4.
