Windos has triumphantly returned to the Halls of Gladius in a whirlwind of activity. In short time since his arrival, Windos has taken part in every conceviable compeition ranging from Battle Team and House level to the DB level monthly MT comps. On top of all that my inbox is flooded with passing reports from the SA (6 additional courses). His is a model career thus far.

Windos has been serving as a magistrate to me for a short time so far, and he has been a great help. Windos has shown a stellar amount of sustained activity in the past month. He is constantly on IRC mentoring newer members. He noticed when a younger member's Master's activity dropped off and took over the training even before "officially" becoming his Master. He has participated in every competition we have had for the last two months, writing quality submissions for all of them and placing in two of them. He is organizing a series of character development competitions to encourage some more activity, and to help our Journeymen improve their skills for the next GJW. He has become a crucial member of our House, and deserves a small token of our appreciation.

I've been around in the DB for a long time, and one thing that has never changed, is once you pass a certain threshold of responsibility, people seem to stop rewarding you for doing the little things, for doing the bits of work that make this Club run. Just because it's now feasibly "part of your job", doesn't mean you're not as worthy of recognition, and reward for helping people out.

Thus, in appreciation for aiding in the judging and timely collation of results in the joint Naga Sadow and Taldryan competition Sins of Our Fathers I am awarding Solari a Dark Cross. Grats Windos, and Thanks.

Solari (excuse me - Ihi Ariki) was approached with the request to take the beloved HTML Primer course in the Shadow Academy and Wikify it, as we are retiring it and wanted to keep it around (if, for no other reason, than for Orv's amazingly funny graphics). Solari took on the task without question or hesitation and translated the course from Markdown into Wiki, complete with formatting and graphics... in three hours. The man is incredible, and I'm so thankful he managed to accomplish this task so quickly and effortlessly. Thank you, Solari!

When trying to get the two last IRC courses archived onto the Wiki quickly and efficiently, who better to turn to then Solari? Last month, after announcing their impending doom, I emailed him to see if he'd be able to take the courses and put their contents onto the Wiki for posterity. Seemingly without effort and within a couple of days, Solari took their contents - including images - and preserved them for any remaining IRC users to peruse. This is the kind of thing that often goes unnoticed, but Solari certainly didn't have to do it and definitely deserves credit for the assistance. Thanks!
